The October wind gave me the chills, reminding me that fall was coming. I walk into Lily's Wings Cafe. Today, we are having a band meeting and practicing. Rain texted me, saying she had some news she wanted to share with the band to talk about.

June was behind the counter when I walked into the cafe. "Luna!" He beamed. "Do you want your usual?"

"Yes, please," I answered as I walked to the counter. My "usual" Is black tea with two sugars and a little milk. It helps wake me up.

'Here you go." June says to me, handing the tea to me. "Thanks"

CRASH

June and I turn to face where the crash came from. "Sorry! I did not see that teapot." A girl stood in the doorway that led to the back room. She was a skinny girl with long black hair, which was up in a ponytail. She was wearing the cafe uniform.

"It's okay! I have had my fair share of breaking things around the store." June chucked.

"I am sorry, uncle! I can pay for it if you want." She said nervously.

"Don't worry about it, Yuki." He waved his hand like it was no idea deal.

"The first time I met June, he knocked over a couple of boxes." I chimed in.

June then smiled weakly. "Yeah, I am super clumsy."

Yuki then laughed and looked calmer.

"Yuki, this is Luna. She is the guitarist in Rain's band."

The girl had an o expression on her face.

June turned to face me. "Luna, this is Yuki. She is my niece. She just started working here. She will be working part-time here."

"Cool, nice to meet you," I answered.

Yuki just smiled and nodded her head. "I look forward to seeing you and the band around the cafe." She whispered.

"Same." I smiled at her. Her eyes came off the ground, and she stared at me in amazement.

"Yoooo Luna!"

I turn to see Rain and the other band members. "Hey guys." I bombed back at them.

"You ready to rock and roll," Chase said.

"Sure am!" I grab my tea and follow them to the other room with the stage. I waved to June and Yuki as I followed the band.

We all sat on the stage in a circle. I look at Rain." Sooo, what's the news you wanted to tell us?" I asked.

Rain then lights up like a Christmas tree. "You ready for this! She squealed. We were invited to play a show at a Halloween show!" She clapped.

"Nice!" Alice said.

"Did you tell them yes, we would do it?" Chase questioned.

Rain then shocked her head. "I told them I wanted to ensure it was okay with the other band members first. Plus, it would be the first gig with Luna."

Everyone then turned to look at me. "I am down to play at a Halloween party," I said as I sipped my drink.

Rain jumped with glee. "Chase, Alice?"

"You know I am in." Alice smiled.

"I am down to rock on Halloween," Chase said.

"I will let them know we are in! Rain cheered. Also, we are getting paid to play at the party."

Alice then fisted Rain's shoulder. "You should have led with that!" She joked.

Rain just smiled and made a silly face.

"We have four weeks until the party. We should plan what songs we will do."

We all nodded our heads in agreement. "Well, let's just practice for now," Alice said.

"Let's do this," Chase said, standing up.

My first Halloween party in this new town, and I am playing a show with the band! This is going to be fun! I thought to myself as we started to practice.
