Welcome, dear readers, and thank you so much for checking out my work in progress (and it's been in progress for a long time!)

As some of you know, I had a stroke five years ago now, in November 2019. I'm fully recovered, but I still have some difficulty speaking (reading aloud is a challenge!) and I feel like my 'creative brain' took a hit as well. I set the story aside for more than a year and a half as I recovered; I picked it up in mid-2021 again and I've worked on it off and on since then. I've just put the story back online after finishing Chapter 5, which has been in the works (off on on) for five years. Subsequent chapters will NOT take nearly as long, I promise! I've also extensively edited the four chapters I've shared previously, and the outline is finished (34 single-spaced pages in MS Word! 😁) All that remains is the actual writing...

This is a project that's been near and dear to me for some time (it's been rolling around in my head since 2017!) Randall (left) is strait-laced and practical; he's essentially given up on finding love, telling himself he's better off without it. He's more like me than any character I've written; his journey includes some of my own trials and struggles. Colette (right) is light and carefree, 'flying by the seat of her pants' as often as not, though she has her own hang-ups in the romance department. On the surface, they might seem like they wouldn't get along, but they just might be perfect for each other...

With everything in such a rough state, I more than welcome any feedback you may have. Please, tell me what works, what doesn't, what you like and don't like. Things like the title, the blurb, and the cover are only placeholders. I'm especially in search of a better title; suggestions are welcome! Like I've said, I'm excited about this project, and I want it to be the absolute best it can be. I want to do Randall and Colette's love story justice!
