(Lola's POV)

         Being with Edward is a routine I love, we see each other everyday at school and almost every weekend. I often feel like finding Edward is the best thing that has ever happened to me, how comfortable it was to be with him without any worries.

      Our fight at the club was quickly forgotten when I saw him at school this morning, he looked so nervous and regretful. My mom was always going on about how different my life in San Francisco is from my life in New York. Many things caused the change, my pain is one of it but I think I'm happy with this change, it has brought me someone who genuinely cares for me.

       As we walked towards the school exit, I spotted Chloe and her group– the school popular girls– she saw me also and gave me a discreet smile then raised her nose up and walked with her friends by her side.
      Seeing her like this, I almost laughed, this was the Chloe who hung out with me laughing and chatting so freely and people feared her at school. I watched as people cleared the road to give them space, some people sneering and gossiping about them, others just staring at them and trying to avoid them.

      Beachview had a no bullying policy which I'm sure they know that student don't exactly follow because I've heard Chloe talk about people she got on her hate list for annoying her and I've heard students talk about the consequences of getting on the popular girls bad side. Chloe always justifies her actions by claiming they acted first and she reacted, all I knew was, my best friend is a softie at heart.

       Sometimes I think about how my two lives collides with each other, my old life in New York and my new one in San Francisco. At my school in New York, I was the 'chloe' of my class and Leo's girlfriend was the 'Chloe' of the whole school, she being the queen b and me being a queen b in the making. Getting invited to parties hanging out with seniors all while I was just a freshman.

         Chloe was known for her meanness in school which I failed to understand because the Chloe I know was extremely simple. I always atributed her mean behavior in school to a façade she wore to keep her position in school, acting like a stereotypical queen bee but my best friend was very nice.

        Her group of friends consisted of two other girls apart from her, they are identical twins whose mother was a famous movie director always working. They were often called 'the triangle', with the twins been the equal slants and Chloe being the grounding factor. Her group was really dynamic but stereotypical in the sense that the three of them were beautiful and 'mean' just like in the movies but there was no blonde girl among them, Ariel and Autumn were red heads with blue eyes, Chloe was a brunette with hazel eyes, each of them had their own personality different from the other so you couldn't say Chloe controlled them because they are their own person.

         I looked up and saw Edward was also looking in the direction which Chloe and the twins just left through with a scowl on his face. I could not understand why those two never got along, Chloe always has a snide remark about Edward and he always had some complain about Chloe but they sometime try to tolerate each other when necessary. I think it might be because they are from different sides, Edward from the group of unpopular Kids and Chloe, was a symbol of popularity.

      I pulled his arm and we walked towards the parking lot where Jason was waiting at the car talking to a girl. He ended his little chat with the girl as he saw us approaching and the girl walked away swaying her hips with her short uniform skirt swishing as she walked, her tie was baby blue indicating she was among the new entries into beachview.

     Everyone's uniform at Beachview was the same, a knee length, plaid, midnight blue skirt with all the colors of our ties forming the lines and button up white shirts for girls, the sleeves depends on the season, while boys wore long, midnight blue tailored pants and button up white shirts also the only difference was the ties, baby blue for freshman, light blue for sophomores, indigo for juniors and navy blue for seniors; just like the one I currently had around my neck. I smiled thinking about the freshman girl who just left and of how she was already acting like the popular girls at the school by flirting with boys and defying school rules by reducing the length of her skirt , exactly Jason's type.

       It felt a bit nostalgic staring at her, she reminded me of how I was in my freshman year, very interested in the latest trends— I think I still am but I prefer to ignore it—, trying to climb the social ranks at school and making lots of friends who I might not even know their last names. Looking at her, I felt a little pang in my chest like I missed all the fun I use to have with all my friends in New York but I think my life is better like this. We soon got to Edwards car and Jason wiggled his brows at me.
  
     "Jace the Ace pack" I said in mock salute and he smiled at me

  "It's true, I Ace everything I do"

"C'mon don't be so obnoxious" I said as he gave me a handshake he claimed to have invented for us both.

"I am so surprised to see you are early and I don't have to call you" Edward said from beside me after rolling his eyes at me and Jason.

"Yeah I have to go on a double date with Anthony today to help him out" he said casually replying to Edward taunt .

      Jason was such a great person overall, he might be late sometimes or even act immature but he was nice so I often wonder how Edward and Jason got to this point where it was always taunts and cold replies. My brother and I loved each others company that we spent all of our free time with each other. I didn't want to go into another time frame thinking about him so I decided to come back to the present.

   "So Ed I'll meet you at yours after calling my dad to inform him I might be home late". I said looking up at Edward who looked excited

   "Okay sounds good"

" Lola can I borrow your car for tonight" Jason asked scratching the back of his head

"No I don't think so, I don't want my baby getting hurt" I said with a serious look on my face because my car was a member of my family to me and I can't have a drunk teenage boy ruining my car

" I promise nothing would happen to her" he said earnestly I almost laughed at the look on his face

" Her?"

" Yes her, why?" he asked raising his brows in question.

"My car is a him" I said

"Enough both of you, Lola are you giving him the car or not so we can settle this I have a dish to prepare" Edward said in a bored impatient voice.

  " I am still trying to decide, sophomores can be careless," I said

"Jason would not be careless, we both know how much he loves Mercedes and he keeps his promises," Edward said making Jason and I to stare at him because he rarely ever supported Jason and he was trying to convince me now to give Jason my car.

"Why are you trying to help Jason out are you being a good elder brother" I asked smiling mockingly and Edward scoffed.

"I'm helping him because he won't have to borrow my own car which he is more likely to ruin but his love for Mercedes would keep yours the way it was given to him"

  " That explains it, okay I'd give you my car but you'd have to drive home with Edward, when I get to your house I'd hand the keys to you"

  " I don't only love Mercedes, I love you too, thanks Lola you are a life saver" he said grinning widely while Edward stared daggers at him.

  " Okay Ed and Jace meet you both at yours after I call my dad" I said and walked towards my car.

     After calling my dad to tell him I might be home late and where I'll be, I drove to the Christopher house, parking my car in front of the large house, I knocked at the door and Helen their house keeper opened the door with a large smile on her face, for her age, she still looked very young but her face had laugh lines around her mouth and eyes, her blue eyes always held a smile in them and she had a very warm personality.

  "Oh hello Helen" I said surprised to see her here by this time because she was only around when there was a lot to do at the house and Edward never mentioned that she'll be around.

   "Hello Lola dear how are you?"

"I'm fine and how's the new baby?" I asked referring to her new grandchild

  "Splendid, he is one fireball of energy," she said fondly. "Okay, dear Edward's in his room, I'm going to check up on things before heading out." she said walking towards the back of the house.

    This house and Chloe's were like my other home where I spent most of my free time. The beautiful Five bedroom house was built really simply and had a very nice air around it. The house was large but it felt really comfortable and homey, the living room was decorated tastefully with a mixture of modern and antique English furnitures, there were pictures of Edward and his family scattered around the living room walls and souvenirs from vacations also served as a form of decoration. I kept my school bag on the floor and was about taking the stairs towards Edward's room when a beautifully dressed Eliza came down with a smile on her face as she saw me.

   "Lola dearie how are you doing?" She asked

  "Hi Eliza, I'm fine and you look great" I said complementing her.

   Her pale skin looked so beautiful in the deep burgundy cocktail gown she was wearing, her dirty blonde hair was left in loose waves around her shoulder and she had on light make up which made her blue eyes pop .

  "Oh thank you sweetie, why didn't you change from your uniform was it so urgent?" she asked mildly concerned

"Oh no, it is nothing at all I just came here to hangout" I said mentally smacking my head because I completely forgot I had to change.

   "Okay, see you later then" she said giving me a hug .

"Have a great time Eliza" I said and she responded with a thanks then walked out of the door after shouting a goodbye to her sons.
 
    Speaking of her sons I wonder where Jason is and why he has not come to collect the keys.
    I walked over to Ed's room and met him shirtless, he didn't really have pacs and all that but his beautiful torso was a nice view. He was about to put on a shirt, on seeing me he smile and left the shirt on his bed

   "Hey babe" he said walking over to me slowly

   "Hey back at you"

"Enjoying the view?" Edward said trapping me with his arms and my back pressed against the door

  "Yeah but your face is obstructing my view at the moment" I said feigning disappointment

  "yeah, so what do we do about that?" he asked slyly and I smiled telling him what he wants to hear

  "Why don't you kiss me" without any more word and without wasting time.  I felt our lips connect in a soft kiss, no hurry, just two people in their own world, his lips felt so soft against my own and I felt like I left earth until someone pushed the door making me wince in pain and curse as the force from the door made Edward to bite my lower lip.

     Both of us moved away from the door cursing and opening the door to see Jason stupidly staring at us confused before realization hit him and he almost burst into laughter.

  "I'm so sorry Lola, I swear if I had known I wouldn't have interrupted," he said sincerly all trace of laughter  had left his face. Before I couldld reply Edward spoke

    "That's why humans that are right in the head knock before entering a room," he said scowling

  "I said I'm sorry."

"Yeah, yeah what do you want?" Edward asked impatiently

"I heard your voice Lola and I came looking for you to collect the keys" he said and I remembered I told him I'll let him borrow my car.

  "Okay let's go to the sitting room,I left my school bag there" Jason stepped out and I followed behind with Edward grumbling and walking behind me.

   "Here's the key to my baby, rule one, not a scratch, rule two, take rule one seriously, lastly be back by nine because I need to get home" I handed the keys to Jason who was grinning and nodding obediently

    "Yes ma'am I'd do exactly as you said."

   "Good now you can go" I said and he walked out of the house gingerly with Edward trying to hide s smile

   "Look how happy he looks, nodding like a child whose mother has agreed to let go trick or treating," Edward said

  "I think I just signed my car to a kid going trick or treating," I said irritably and Edward laughed.

   "I can vouch for my little brother on this one, your car may come back late but surely in one piece"

    "I sure hope so, back to the reason I'm here, so what's on the menu? "

   "A simple Italian dish" he said looking professional

   "And what's that?"

"Fettuccine and some mixed vegetables sauce with thinly sliced beef".

   "sounds good, I hope it taste that way"

"It would, making pasta is a niche for me"

" Okay if you say so, do you have anything I should help you with"

  " Yep, just talk to me while I cook" he said and smiled bringing a smile on my face too.
