Chapter Twenty
Last chapter! (Hooray!) This chapter has an important scene in it, but I also added something at the beginning just for fun. And here it is.
"Gosh darn flippin' darnit!" Vanellope slams her empty root beer mug on the bar table.
"Language~" Felix hums before taking a sip of his own root beer. He's sitting across from Vanellope.
"What's the matter, kid?" Ralph asks.
"I left my kart all the way at Station Three!" Vanellope complains. She waves her arms dramatically in the air after she hiccups. "Now I gotta go all the way back and pick it up!"
Ralph leans down so his face is by Felix's ear.
"Do you think she's drunk on sugar?" Ralph chuckles.
"Definately, she had six glasses!" Felix laughs. Vanellope pokes Felix's nose with her pointer finger.
"You're talking about me," she says in a teasing tone of voice. "That means you like meh." Felix swallows and leans away from Vanellope, who's now crawling across the table towards him."
"Okay, that's enough root beer for you," Ralph declares. He lifts a massive hand and pulls Vanellope off of the table, seating her back down on her bar stool. Felix exhales in relief. "I didn't know you could get drunk on sugar," Ralph states.
"Nah, it's probably just a sugar crash, but that's nothing I can't fix," Felix chimes. He pulls out his magic hammer from his tool belt.
"I don't know, Felix. Vanellope's kinda funny like this," Ralph notes.
"She attempted to crawl across the table. That isn't very lady-like," Felix argues.
"Hey, I am the politest person you will ever meet!" Vanellope chirps in. Felix rolls his eyes, leans over the table, and smacks Vanellope with his hammer, causing Vanellope to glitch in her seat. "How about we go pick up my kart?" she suggests. "You guys can keep me company since it's a long walk to the other station."
"That's better," Felix smiles as he puts his hammer back in the loop of his tool belt. "Let's get going."
Ralph, Felix, and Vanellope exit the bar and they begin their long walk to Station Three. It takes about twenty minutes to get there, but along the way they chat with each other-so time flew by.
"Here we are," Ralph says. The trio step into the third Game Central Station.
"And there's my kart!" Vanellope grins. She skips over to the kart which is right where she left it-by the outlet Fix-It Felix Jr got unplugged at not too long ago. Vanellope is about to jump into her kart, but she stops herself. "Hold on," she says. Ralph and Felix join next to her. Vanellope is staring at a plug wedged into the outlet. "They put a new game in already."
Ralph glances up at the black screen above the outlet. "This isn't a new game. This is ours," he points out. Vanellope and Felix look up at the screen.
Fix-It Felix Jr, is what it reads. All their eyes widen.
"How?" Vanellope asks. "It was just unplugged! I saw it happen!"
"Litwak must have given us another chance. Felix and I did up our game in the past two days," Ralph explains.
"Well, that's great! The game's saved!" Vanellope jumps up and punches the air with enthusiasm.
"Looks like we have a home again."
Felix is just staring at the outlet. Ralph notices and he waves a hand in front of Felix's face to draw his attention away from the outlet and at Ralph instead.
"Isn't this great?" Ralph asks him. Felix blinks.
"Nicelanders," Felix mumbles. "We have to tell the Nicelanders! It's a miracle!" Felix laughs uncontrollably as he dashes to the power strip's cord. He's almost laughing like a maniac.
"Felix! Wait up!" Ralph calls. Vanellope jumps in her kart and Ralph takes a seat on the back. The kart begins to move and it continues to increase speed so Ralph and Vanellope can catch up to Felix.
"Hey, Ralph!" Vanellope calls over the roaring engine of her kart. "Does this mean we can celebrate at Tapper's again?"
"NO!"
The End.
And there you have it. I had a lot of fun writing this and planning the story from beginning to end. I know, the writing isn't that great. I still consider myself new at writing, but I hope you enjoyed this story as much as I did. Thank you so much for taking the time to read Unplugged. It means a whole lot to me. :)
