3 figures dashed through the forest, 1 in front and 2 following behind.

"Where are we going Bāsuto? The tower is in the other direction. I thought we were heading towards it." Sasuke asked.

Basuto looked back at Sasuke.

"We're heading to meet someone." Bāsuto said, as if that explained everything.

They ran for a few more minutes before Naruto broke the silence.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You should have asked sooner, we have already arrived." Bāsuto said as they made a sudden stop. Ahead of them, on the other side of the clearing, was Jade's team.

Naruto and sasuke both braught out weapons, preparing for a fight, but Bāsuto stopped them.

"Did you find any scrolls on the way here?" Bāsuto asked.

"Ah, we did, but it was a heaven scroll, which we already had." Jade explained.

Naruto wailed comically.

"Our scroll is a heaven scroll!" He exclaimed sadly, realizing the scroll was useless.

Yoshi quickly butted in, "Well as much as I love drama, we need to get going. Both our teams are working together, we need two earth scrolls, and that's that! Lets head to the tower." She exclaimed.

Sasuke moved to burn the extra scroll, but Bāsuto stopped him.

"We might need an extra in case something goes wrong."

Jades eyes flashed in recognition, realizing what he was referring to. She smirked, turned around and began jumping from tree to tree, the rest of them following suit.

They ran for close to 5 kilometers, the only noises being naruto complaining, and Bāsuto and Jade having a quiet conversation at the front of the group. They were about half the way to the tower, before they set up 'camp'. In reality, it was an ambush devised to get more scrolls.

It is still only about an hour after the test began, most teams probably aren't this far in and spent more time trying to take out other teams then progress.

As such, they were in a prime position for other people to stumble upon them. And that was just what they wanted, which was why they deliberatly made a fire.

Now it was simply waiting game, for scrolls, and for Orochimaru.

Jade's P.O.V

"Hey Bāsu?" I called to him.

He smiled lightly.

"When was Bāsu on the table?" He asked me.

"I could call you bās, but your not fishy enough for that." I joked.

"Har har. Very funny, normally I'm the one making tha jokes. That's besides the point though, I'd like to know how your first meeting with kami went." He asked me.

Oh, thats a fun topic

"Well, it started with me asking what beauty products she used to look so good,"  "Im not suprised." I glared at him for that remark, though continued undeterred. "And then I asked how I got there, and if I was hallucinating. She told me how she was basically god, and that she wanted my help." I explained to him.

"Go on, that can't be the whole story. Your life is never that boring."

"Yeah, your right, I'm just too awesome to have a boring conversation with god!" I stated, placing my hands on my hips and going into a cliche superhero pose. He laughed, and slapped me on the back lightly.

"Yeah yeah, rub it in. You have a way cooler life then me. Now back to the explanation."

"Ok ok, so first thing she did was fill me in on the situation, which is honestly pretty cool. I just wish it hadn't been naruto and instead an anime I actually watched." I explained to him, pouting slightly at the end, for dramatic effect obviously.

"At least you've got me, so your not completely clueless on everything there is to know about this place. Like usual." He said cheekily. I glared at his casual insult to my intelligence.

"Anyways, as I was saying, she filled me in, then we check on how you were doing. It was... amusing, to say the least. I wasn't kidding when I said you needed help, because you were currently getting tortured." I explained, laughing lightly at the end despite it being about torture.

"Of course, you look at the exact moment I'm doing the absolute worst, and not when I'm I don't know, setting things in motion to save the world?

"Unhuh, and what kind of stuff is that?" I asked him, wondering what he could have done.

"Well, first of all, I managed to get into contact with Fuu and Yukata, who you would know if you had actually watched the series!" He exclaimed after my confused glance at the names.

He sighs, exasperated.

"Anyways, have you gotten into contact with either Bee or Yugito while in kumo?" He asked me.

My eyes widened.

"Holy shit. My sensei is someone notable in the series! Damn, Yugito-sensei is lit." I exclaimed happily.

Bāsuto's eyes widened, but after a moment he smirks, then the smirk escalates to a small chuckle.

"My god, I didn't think it would be this convenient. I know where and how to contact 5 of the 9 bijuu. This seems much easier then I thought it would be." He exclaimed, seemingly overjoyed.

His eyes come back into focus, before going wide. He quickly gets up, and looks behind us.

"Whats got you so worked... up..." I trailed off looking behind us as well. There, standing within eyesight and definitely within earshot, was Sasuke and Sachi.

Bāsuto's P.O.V

Fuck. I was too caught up in my excitement that I didn't notice their chakra. Rookie mistake. Now the question is, how long have they been listening.

"Heeeeyy Sachi, Sasuke. What are you guys doing here? Who am kidding, how much did you guys hear?" Jade asked, not even bothering to keep up the act.

"Everything." Sasuke answered, his gaze curious and cautious.

I sigh. This was gonna be a bitch to do, and leave me with quite a bit less chakra, but It needs to be done.

I molded my chakra, before doing handsigns.

Sasuke and Sachi jump back suprised, but it was too late. They both fell to the floor unconscious. Sasuke didn't even have time to activate his chakra.

I took my bag off and went through it, grabbing the 2 seals I was looking for.

Jade glanced at me curiously, but said nothing.

I placed the seals on their forehead, and took a step back.

"What do those do?" She asked me, staring intently at the seals on their foreheads.

"They will erase their memories of the past 10 minutes or so. They're only temporary though, and they will probably remember within the week. For now though, we have to make it look like we were attacked. It would be highly suspicious if we just came back with 2 of our teammates unconscious." I explained to her.

I left her with the bodies of our unconscious teammates, before running into the woods towards the nearest team, ready to take their scroll, and use their remains to make the area we were at more like a battlefield.

As I got within eyesight of the team, I realized it was the team of that genin I knocked out.

I didn't care about that fact too much though.

I quickly got behind the last person of the group, and silently assassinated them with a quick slash of a kunai to the throat. I quickly hid the body and switched my henge from that of me as a 12 year old, to that of their teammate.

I pretended to drop dead, the other 2 hearing the sound and turn around to see their 'teammate' unconsious on the ground. They quickly moved next to me, examining me. After a few seconds they pick me up, and it gives me the perfect moment to strike. I stab the girl picking me up through the chest, and stare at the final remaining member of the team, coincidentally the one I had knocked out.

I henged back into my 12 year old self, before placing my hand out, asking for the scroll. He looked fearfully at my henged form. He hesistantly took his bag off his shoulders, and took his scroll out of it.

An earth scroll, convenient

Then I see him go to make the signs for a fire jutsu, likely ready to burn it. I took action and knocked him out with the same jutsu I used against Sasuke and Yoshi.

Fuck, that jutsu is so chakra intensive. Shooting a pure concentrated blast of chakra at someone's temple drains your chakra to all hell.

He fell right as he was about to release a fire ember from his mouth, it wasn't able to escape, and burnt out inside his mouth. Unfortunately, Not without giving him severe burns on the inside of his mouth.

I grabbed the scroll off the ground, and grabbed 2 of the bodies, running  back to where Jade was.

I realized I was quite low on chakra. Realizing it was better to save any and all chakra, I released my henge, going back to my 8 year old body.

Oh Jades gonna get quite the chuckle out of this

I finally arrived to see jade had already made good preparations, including propping our teammates bodies up, as well as making the place look like an actual battlefield.

I quickly propped up the bodys I was carrying, adding a few more cuts here and there for added affect.

Now it was just time to put our acting skills to the test.

But we never got that chance, because of very unfortunate timing.

Right infront of both our eyes, slowly rising up out of the ground, was the biggest threat in this whole forest.

It was the snake sannin Orochimaru. Still hidden as a grass genin.

And yet when he rose up, he didn't look at me, nor the battlefield around him. He only stared at the unconsious body of my teammate. A lust for power in his eyes, staring at the thing he wanted most.

And so I went unnoticed.

Taking this opportunity, I hastily grabbed Jade and get out of his direct line of sight.

"Jade, go get Yoshi and Naruto. We need to get them out of there. I'll try to keep him distracted." I ordered. She knew now wasn't the time to argue, and quickly headed off. Now it was just me, 2 unconsious bodies, and someone who could kill me in less then a second.

I don't bother trying to hide my footsteps, or cloak my chakra, I knew he would spot me, so instead, i just walked right up to him.

He glanced at me curiously, no doubt questioning how I could be so calm.

Hes even more suprised when he realized I didn't have a weapon out.

"Orochimaru." I said to him, and his smirk widened.

"So you know who I am, and yet you, a mere genin, still come this close without a weapon?" He asked, still staring at Sasuke.

"Ill make a deal with you. I'll let you put the curse mark Sasuke, I'll even arrange for everything to go smoothly when he leaves to you, all I ask is for an i.o.u, a favor when I need it." I said to him.

"And what makes you think I'd make a deal like that with you? I could kill you right now and everything would still stay that course." He said matter of factly.

I knew it might come to this, so I was fully prepared.

"I know where the shinigami mask is." I wasn't entirely sure whether he would accept or not. Its not like it really matters.

"Very interesting, that is a good proposal. However, you've forgotten one very important thing. I can just reanimate you and force you to tell me." He mentionned, as though talking about the weather.

It took me less then a second to realize what was coming. I tried to block in time, but it was no use. I got a snake right to the neck. I collapsed to the ground then and there. Just before dying again, I decided to have some 'fun' with Orochimaru.

"15 mi-minutes. Rethink your... decision, then." And with that, I died for the third time.

"You know, telling me about Jade would have been great."

"Oh, I know, I just thought it would have been more amusing to have it as a suprise."

"Very funny. I do have to ask though, if I'm able to come here because  i have multiple lives, how did Jade show up here?"

"Oh, it's simple really, I just gave her all the age I had cut off from you and gave it to her. Since I just took 4 more years off you... shes got about 12 years left."

"Interesting, so she can't die until that point?"

"No, she can still die, but if she does live till then, she immediately seizes to live."

"Do you know what's going on outside right now?"

"Oh yes, Naruto, Jade and Sachi are getting destroyed and are barely keeping up with Orochimaru."

"I expected as much. How much time do I have left?"

"About 30 seconds."

"Look, I know you just took four years from me and gave them to Jade, but I'm going to need those back."

Well, of course. In fact, I'll throw in a little extra, how about being 16 again?"

"That would leave Jade with only 4 years left."

"Indeed it would. Goodbye now. It was nice talking."
