3rd person P.O.V (can you believe it! I'm not doing 1st person anymore!)

"This is Sasuke, I'm at point A."

"Point B."

...

"This is Naruto at point C, dattebayo!"

"Too slow Naruto- the target has moved, follow it!"

In case you couldn't tell, Team 7 was doing the Demon Cat Tora mission.

"I'm going in, ttebayo!" Naruto whisper yelled through the microphone.

He jumped at the cat, pinning it down temporarily, before lifting it up with one hand. Tora then started scratching at his face unrelentingly as the rest of team 7 jumped down from their positions.

Bāsuto walked up to Naruto and grabbed Tora with a blank face. The cat immediately calmed down and relaxed in Bāsuto's arms, curling itself in a ball and sleeping.

The rest of team 7 looks at Bāsuto confused, Kakashi and Naruto especially. Kakashi because in all of his years of being a shinobi, he had never seen Tora relaxed like this. And Naruto because, well, the claw marks on his face could explain themselves.

'Idiots, it's not like it's that big a deal.'

Kakashi was now staring at Bāsuto like he had answers to life. After all, a loophole to the grueling task known as catching Tora was the answers of the universe, wasn't it?

"Okay then, let's go report to the Hokage," Kakashi said to the genin with a newfound respect for one of them.

It seemed Sasuke was glaring at Bāsuto, possibly jealous, noticing that Kakashi staring at him with respect. Well, as much respect as you can get from a single eye being visible on an entire face.

"Okay, let's see what missions we have available. Babysitting, gardening, grocery shop-"

"NO!" Naruto said, making a big X with his arms.

"I'm sick and tired of these chores! Come on, we're shinobi now! Give us better missions, Old Man!" He screamed at the wizened Hokage.

Iruka glared at him angrily.

"NARUTO! Quit being disrespectful! You're only genin, so these missions are matched to your capabilities. Shinobi missions are divided into 4 ranks: D rank, C rank, B rank, and A rank. These ranks are made to show their difficulty, D rank being perf-"Iruka trails off noticing only Bāsuto was listening, though Bāsuto was just pretending.

The rest, including their sensei, had stopped paying attention to him. Naruto was talking about ramen, the Uchiha was staring off into space thinking about revenge, and Kakashi was reading his book.

"LISTEN TO ME YOU BRATS!" Iruka yells using big-head-jutsu.

Getting everyone's attention, he clears his throat to continue, only to be cut off by the Hokage.

"Leave it, Iruka. I'll give team 7 a C-rank mission. You'll be bodyguarding someone." The Hokage says to team 7, believing in them as well as their sensei.

"Who is it?! A princess? Or a lord from another land?" Naruto yells excitedly, exhilarated at the prospect of getting to protect someone.

"Send him in." He tells the chunin by the door. They go outside the office and come back in with an old man with a bottle of sake in his hand, the smell of alcohol wafting from him.

"I'm Tazuna, master bridge builder from the Land of Waves! Are these snot-nosed brats the ones protecting me? They don't even look like ninja! Especially the idiot midget." Said Tazuna rudely, introducing himself.

"Haha, who the idiot midget dattebayo?" Naruto asks.

All of team 7 except for Bāsuto line up. Sasuke being the tallest and Naruto being the shortest, the emotionless boy not joining in as it was clear that he was taller than Naruto. Naruto started fuming.

"Why you! I'm gonna KILL YOU!" Naruto screamed, charging at Tazuna.

Kakashi easily held him back.

"No killing the client, Naruto." Kakashi scolded him.

"Meet at the gate in 30 minutes, pack for a week-long trip," Kakashi told us before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Bāsuto was heading down a street towards a familiar weapons shop. His custom order would finally be ready, after 2 years. He didn't blame the shop, as there were many complications along the way.

The order being very complicated was the biggest reason. There were so many intricate pieces that couldn't be even a millimeter off. Not only that, but the shop running out of the material it was being made out of delayed it by half a year as well, considering how rare it was. He was just glad that it had been finished before the wave mission. Looking at the clock, he noticed the 30-minute deadline was almost up, so he grabbed his sweater and bag and put the order inside it,  sealing it one of the storage seals within.

'Turns out Jiraya was way better at seals then he was at literature.' The Bāsuto thought as he headed to the front gates of the village. There, he saw the rest of his team as well as Tazuna.

"Bāsuto! You're late!" Naruto yells out to the raven-head. The blond then ran forward bouncing around out the gates.

"Maa maa, Naruto, what's got you so excited?" Questions Kakashi.

"This is my first time adventuring outside of the village, dattebayo!" Naruto yells out, still very excited and exuding an impossible amount of happy energy.

"Tch, these are people who are going to protect me?" grumbles Tazuna.

Naruto goes in for the kill but is once again held back by Kakashi.

"Don't worry Tazuna-san, I'm a jonin so you don't have to worry," there was an edge to his reply.

"I still don't feel very safe."

Naruto bristled at the slight. "Listen here, you old man! I'm gonna become Hokage and you're gonna wish you never disrespected me! You hear me?" 

"The Hokage is the greatest ninja in your village right? Like you could ever become the Hokage. That'll be the day alright, when pigs can fly! Even if you did manage that, I still wouldn't respect you!" He tells Naruto before walking away.

Bāsuto's P.O.V

We had been walking for a few hours when I finally spotted the puddle on the road. I had sensed their chakra around 5 minutes ago.

We continued on past without making any change in movement while I took this change to take a glance at Kakashi.

Oh, the irony. In cannon, Kakashi and Sakura would be talking about there being no ninjas in Wave right about now. Glad she's not here.

A few seconds after walking past the puddle, the demon brothers jump out and 'kill' Kakashi.

With all the the speed I could muster, my body quickly moved into a defensive stance Naruto and the client, allowing me to easily defend either of them. It seemed like neither of the two brothers took an interest in me.   

Good

Naruto was wearing a kill-me-orange jumpsuit, while Sasuke stood out because he's the only one fighting them. I noticed one brother head for Tazuna and the other head for Naruto's frozen form.

I lept towards Tazuna, blocking the claw with a kunai and the other with my hiatate that was wrapped around my wrist.

Glad I had the thought to custom make this thing, despite how expensive it was.

Kakashi quickly appeared while I was handling the brother and took out the other twin, with Sasuke helping him.

I shoved a Kunai through my enemy's chest while he was looking at his brother, killing him in the process.

Kakashi who was walking towards me as well as my teammates paused in consternation, stopping himself from congratulating me.

This is what it means to be a shinobi. They should know that.

Kakashi eventually walked towards Tazuna and began the same accusatory conversation as in cannon. I wasn't paying much attention due to my inspections of any possible wounds or blood on my figure.

Sasuke eyed me warily before looking up towards the rest of the group.

Glancing up just in time to see Naruto pull out a Kunai and stab his posioned hand, claiming that they would continue on with this mission.

We then continue on after getting Naruto's hand patched up.

As we were on the boat Kakashi looked at me.

"Bāsuto, are you alright? First kills tend to be hard on people." He asked me.

I simply stared at him.

"It wasn't," I told him, knowing he would understand what I meant and not the genin.

He nodded at me in understanding.

Great, more attention isn't what I need.

He stops staring at me to then ask Tazuna about the situation in the Wave.

Tuning them out as I went through my bad, searching through my belongings before freezing at Naruto's shout about a "big bridge"

Nevermind, I need to get prepared.

I discretely unsealed the kunai pouch in my sleeve, having not done it before because of the heaviness slowing me down.

"-as far as I can take you all, take care." The man who gave us a ride said. He soon rowed away after everyone was off the boat.

Naruto then proceeded to throw kunai at almost everything, scaring the living daylights out of Tazuna every time he threw one.

I then saw a winter rabbit jump out of the bush Naruto threw a kunai at and knew it was going to begin soon.

"GET DOWN!" Kakashi yelled.

I kick Tazuna's left leg making him fall as I jump out of the range of the spinning blade, it missing me just barely. Then, a cow printed silhouette lands on the wedged sword.

Kakashi, noticing the weird clothed man on the blade, calls out to him.

"Momochi Zabuza, rogue ninja of the Hidden Mist."

And this chapter is DONE! It's not as long as the previous chapter, but that's because I want to try and get a more consistent schedule.
