Hi All

Happy Reading.

-----------------------------------

Adarsh considered Sanskaar carefully. They were in his cabin and Sanskaar had something important to discuss that morning. He expected it to be about a new deal or a project or some brilliant ideas which usually Sanskaar came up with but no way anticipated this.

From past 2 years, Sanskaar had been an integral part of the intern recruit committee and played a key role in technical interviews. His unique knack of tapping right talent fitting the needs of Maheswari group came handy and they would often joke around Sanskaar shifting to HR. And now all of sudden he didn't want to be a part of it.

"Why Now? Are you concerned because you have been a guide to intern ..but aren't guides supposed to be a part of it? Your inputs are what we count upon ..and you know that! Sanskaar." Adarsh waited. When nothing came in...

"Am I missing something?" Adarsh frowned.

Sanskaar took a minute. If Laksh was his personal confidant, Adarsh Bahia had been his professional mentor. He always a nurtured healthy respect and looked up to him in various aspects of the business... but discussing love life? Sanskaar cleared his throat.

"Bhaiyya, a clash of interests. personal and professional"

Adarsh processed the words carefully and it took only a few minutes for him to deduce. The little frown taken over a quirk of amusement " Are you telling me you have fallen for an intern?"

That was quite right on point. Sanskaar nodded "I am afraid, its yes"

"And you are serious about it?" It's written in his eyes, Adarsh thought, amused. His little brother..in love.

"Dead serious," Sanskaar confirmed.

Adarsh nodded. " All set? I mean when are you breaking the news to the family?"

Sanskaar found the conversation easy going ."I am still working on it, bhaiyya In a week or two. I mean I haven't proposed yet..and I..."

"Do it as soon as possible. " Adarsh smiled and walked to Sanskaars side. "Pari keeps bugging me about your marriage because she wants to have a partner in crime..and Maa...I think she will be the happiest one. Dad, I am sure will not have issues though I doubt the name 'Bose' might have complications. We will work that out. And if you need a piece of expert advice.." Adarsh smiled and patted on Sanskaar's shoulder with a suggestive smile.

After a few minutes, Sanskaar walked out of the cabin with a huge smile on his face. Well, that went very well. There was a reason he chose to opt out of committee. Maheswari Group had been always known for its transparent and unbiased process and he didn't want his personal equation to mar the image or give a chance for some to point.

Swara is capable on her own and he had no doubts she would clear rounds with flying colours and as discussed with Adarsh, Pushing Swara's viva voce to last day wouldn't be a problem at all, as interviews tend to stretch across over series of days and submission of medical certificate as per process was all that needs to be done. Shouldn't be tough, given the hospital is under Maheswari patronage.

Last night Swara had been tensed about the project. Did she have to when she has the boss in her kitty? But No! She wouldn't even look at it that way while he was sure most of them wouldn't have hesitated to exploit the advantage. That is what sets her apart. Too naive and pure-hearted with no malice. He assured it would be taken care of ..but what followed next was his favourite.

He managed to fish out few of her likes.

Tulips and Roses.

Sanskaar smiled as he walked towards the cabin. He definitely missed her presence and hoped ...his morning wish would leave her in few smiles equally blooming as her favourite flowers.

----------------------

Oh! She loved it. The bouquet, the lovely arrangement of tulips and roses in the bursting colours of lavender and pink.

Not her favourite' orchids' but for Sanskaar Maheshwari, she can make an exception. Kavita leaned forward inhaling the fragrance. Did he choose by self? A lingering trace of his perfume which she had has taken a note yesterday says so. She did admit the sting when bouquet arrived in the morning for Swara Madam under name of Sanskaar Maheshwari but she took the delivery. She threw an extra sweet, generous smile to the delivery boy assuring it would find its rightful owner...but only in dreams.

Swara having these beauties. Not a chance. She would have her fill first, like always. If Swara gets a check-up call she can always make up some story.

"Oh !I forgot " " Or

"I thought it was for me .. I was expecting them from a friend," and the list goes on with and a fake apology. Poor innocent Swara would easily fall into the trap. Kavita ran her fingers over petals...

"Sanskaar or flowers. Whatever is yours, Swara. It would be mine." She looked at the note in her hand. A cute one with a heart symbol but sad, it has to find its place in trash. She crumpled the note.

--------------

Her morning started on a contented note. Swara woke up with a soft, dreamy smile...recalling his voice faintly.

Goodnight Swara. Sweet dreams.

She didn't even realise her eyes giving up and slipping into sleep. She stretched her hands feeling the caress of sun rays streaming freely through drawn blinds.

Sun-kissed ..she mused.

She had always been an early bird and rarely had late lazy mornings. For a change, it felt good. The swell on her ankle mellowed considerably...as pain. Swara helped herself to the washroom. Till she can manage she had no intentions of troubling family.

As she stepped out, a hot piping cup of coffee and breakfast greeted her sight as well as Sumitra who simply enquired her health and added she's out for work and Dadi would be here, if at all anything is needed. She needn't hesitate to give her a call, as well. She will be back by lunchtime.

Swara nodded with a smile" Thanks, Choti Ma,".And all she got was a nod as she left. It had always been that way. Swara ignored the prick and a beep on phone caught her attention. A message from Sanskaar...

Swara smiled as she scrolled through the messages. The gist of it, a morning wish and a note on viva voce. She didn't have to worry about a thing. All is settled and one more on how bad his coffee turned out to be. Swara laughed taking a sip of her coffee. Munching on breakfast Swara recalled bits of their conversation. He seemed keen on her likes and she shared them with no qualms. He asked if she liked reading and what books would she prefer.

And she had been stupid enough to admit she loved all M & B, stuff

She expected him to laugh at her but he fell silent for a minute. "You mean to say all those mushy, romantic types ..fairy tales, prince charming and knights in shining armours or bad billionaires and all..."

"No! Not billionaires ...just princes," she admitted sheepishly. When he asked why girls are behind such dreamy stuff.

"Because such stuff doesn't exist in real life." Swara was quick to defend, "You always don't have handsome, charming men fighting with evil witches, coming to your rescue, sweeping you off your feet or waking you up with true love's kiss, a magic carpet to fly, happy ever afters and....

How patiently he had listened to all her blabbering, didn't laugh at her silly wish list and even asked if she made a note of it.

A note? she had the whole book. Done with breakfast, Swara moved towards wardrobe and pulled out scrapbook she placed out of her sight after that tragic night. How things have changed from then.

She fondly traced it. "You don't have to hide any more and I have so many things to share with you." She smiled and walked to the bed holding it close.

---------

Sanskaar was in all smiles recalling the same conversation. Indeed a dreamy one, Swara is and it so well fits with her fascination. So can he say he was her prince charming? Did she imagine him to be one?

'Prince Charming.' How fancy did it sound all of sudden?

But wait! A Horse, he would manage but armour and sword? God! Sanskaar shook his head. And the wishlist, He tried to take a quick mental note as Swara went on and on. A huge one on hands. Lucky was right! Indeed, his Cinderella and their story looked like a fairy tale in making. Glad, he didn't have evil witches to encounter.

She had sent him cute smileys in a reply to his message. He waited, she would say a word about flowers, but she didn't. Hmm ...Is she planning to tease him? Waiting for him to ask? Not so soon. He knew it was delivered. A little wait wouldn't hurt. He looked at Swara's place, a straight view from his cabin.

Damn! He's missing her and he had a long day before him.

---------

Ragini felt thankful, Laksh readily agreed to meet her with no questions, no tantrums. They met in the same cafe as before.

She started off on a gentle note," I am really sorry, Laksh. I know I had been extremely rude that day and I realised I have been wrong about Sanskaar all this while. We had little talk yesterday and its all cleared. Only if I had been little sensible all this wouldn't have happened. I just wanted to apologise and I am glad.." She looked up... and there he was looking at her with a sentimental expression wiping his imaginary tears.

"Arey Bas Kar pagli rulayegi kya? " Laksh wiped his eyes and sneezed into the hanky." Senti kardiya Subha Subha."

Ragini stared at him in disbelief. Here she is with a heartfelt apology and this guy. She felt her temper kicking in. " Are you always in this drama mode or you have this occasional trances, Mathur?"

"Always, "Laksh answered straight.

Ragini simply shook her head. Some never change, "You know what! Just forget it." she started to leave.

"You are committing the same mistake again, Ragini. This time I may not be very generous." The words of Laksh stopped her in tracks.

"Oh Really! And how is that? I am here apologising and you are having fun..and.."

"Why? Why are you even apologising? Laksh took over, "You thought I am here because I was expecting a sorry from you.No! I am here Because I wanted to have coffee with you which we didn't in a long time. Remember college days ..Post plays how we hanged out, all the fun we had.

I have been missing those days recently and I jumped at the chance of meeting you again. Here you are giving me lectures and throwing tantrums. I mean, do you have this occasional attacks where you switch into these dangerous modes. Sit down For God's sake, Ms Gadodia. Your coffee is getting cold. I know you don't like it that way."

Raini had no clue if it's his tone or words or something in his eyes ..she came back, took her place with no words and sipped her coffee.

"Ragini, I know you ok! I know your words mean no harm, they are at a spur of the moment. I know how protective you are for the ones you care. It's your way of showing love. Tumhare gusse main bhi pyar hota hain apno ke liye, Ragini. Swara is your best friend. I totally understand I would have done the same for Sanskaar. It was just a misunderstanding ...so bhool javo. Ok!"

Ragini watched him astonished. She had always seen his fun, playful side but this was new for her. "I never realised you know me so well, Laksh."

Laksh smiled sipping his coffee, extremely happy overturn of events. Sanskaar and Swara are sorted. He had Ragini right before him. He didn't need more

"Oh! I definitely do .."

And Ragini smiled back at him.

--------------------------------------

Though sorely tempted, Sanskaar reluctantly dropped the idea of being an unwanted guest to Bose house at this odd hour. That would look desperate and he didn't want to give them a wrong impression. Messages and a call in between kept him going ..but he wished for a glimpse of her. He got so used to having Swara around all these months, her absence was dearly felt. He could settle for video call once he reaches home if she is comfortable. It was after an hour, he called her up and smiled at the excitement in her voice. They talked for a while but not a mention of flowers. After a few minutes unable to hold back any longer.

"Did you like the flowers?" He asked trying not to sound eager.

"Flowers? What flowers?" Swara asked confused.

"I have sent you a bouquet in the morning of roses and tulips. You said you like them, last night so ... You didn't get them? " Sanskaar felt dim bells of alarm. They are delivered. Of course, he had a message of receipt.

"You sent me a bouquet! " Swara smiled wide. That itself felt so good. No one ever sent her a bouquet and of her favourite flowers by Sanskaar. She was happy. But Sanskaar was not. something didn't sit well with him. And he was absolutely right.

Kavita.

-----

The minute Kavita saw a phone in Swara's hand and her checking on the bouquet, she had to put up the act. " I am so sorry Swara. You were sleeping then. I thought not to disturb you and it slipped my mind...Just a minute."She rushed to her room and smirked at dull withered flowers.

Now, this is what is written in Swara's share ...lifeless flowers and dreams. Swara, as usual, believed her story She handed over the flowers with a sweet fake smile and watched her walk back into the room." Bhool gayi Kavita ....But these are beautiful, Thank you, Sanskaar." She heard her say.

Beautiful ...Sanskaar sighed. He imagined Swara holding blooming ones not withered but this girl, not a complain and was happy. " Iss ladki ka main kya karu?" But Swara's excitement was contagious and soon he pushed all unworthy thoughts aside ...and he got lucky with the video call. Her smiling face holding bouquet her never-ending chirpy talk ...made up for all lost time. By the end of the call, he was all smiling.

After the call ended... Sanskaar thought for a minute and he exactly knew his next plan of action.

-------------

Nex morning Kavita caught sight of a delivery boy with a fresh bouquet, from her room's window. Oh, One more. She can cook up some other story but first, she needs to get her hands on it before anyone else does. She rushed down, excited and opened the door.

Her smile faded. "Tum?'

"I didn't know you would be this excited to see me, Kavita. .Good Morning. " Ragini stepped inside with bouquet.

"When did you take up the job of delivery, Ragini?' Kavita threw a remark mulling over her foiled plans.

Ragini smiled in return," Had to ...Just to make sure these beautiful ones don't fall into wrong hands. You never know .. a few kinds, I say. Now excuse me, please! I need to make sure, they reach the rightful owner. " Ragini stepped aside and moved in leaving a scowling Kavita behind.

" Swara..."
