What is wrong with me? Sophie asked herself. She was going over the days memories and she saw how she acted at the Healing Center. Why was I acting like that? I didn't make sense. She said she would skin Keefe alive if he did a prank. Why would she say that?

"Sweetie!" Called Edaline from downstairs . "Dinner time!"

"Coming! "Sophie shut her memory log with a bang and put it on her nightstand next to Iggy's cage.

She bounded down the stairs to meet a cheerful Edaline.

"Sit down." Edaline conjured up a chair. "We're having giple fudge tonight!"

Sophie smiled as she pictures giple fudge. It looked like Mastodon poop, but was amazing. And it tasted like chocolate and apples.

She sat down and Edaline called for Grady. Edaline and Grady sat down and the family devoured the delicious dinner.

"Can we have Mallowmelt for dessert please? " Begged Sophie.

Edaline chuckled. "Of course!" She conjured up some and Sophie delighted, grabbed a piece .

"Save some for me!" Grady said as Sophie reached for her third piece.

Sophie pretended to think, her pointer finger tapping her forehead. "Hmmm. I'm not sure. You've been paying attention to the Gorgodon more than me lately. "

Grady gave her a bewildered look as she snatched the plate and looked at the mallowmelt.

"Well, I guess you could have some." She set the plate back down and Grady snatched two pieces as if afraid Sophie wasn't going to let him have any more.

She laughed.

Dinner ended and Sophie went up to her room. She hailed Keefe.
It rang for a bit before he picked it up.

"Heya Foster."

"Hi Keefe." She suddenly felt nervous.

"So what do you need? More Keefe time? " He smirked.

"No!" If Sophie could have pushed him through the screen she would have.

"So then, why'd you call? Is it because you're still too worried about me?" He rolled his eyes.

Sophie looked surprised at his words. After a moment she saw that Keefe looked surprised too. As if he didn't mean to say the words.

Sophie shrugged. "I forgot why I did. Oh now I remember! I hailed you because you needed someone to look after you." She replied tersely.

Keefe narrowed his eyes. "Well I don't,.so you can hang up."

" Fine! "

"Fine!"

And Sophie promptly hung up.

As she put her Imparter on her nightstand, she realized what she had said. And what Keefe had said.
Why was she acting like that? And why was Keefe acting like that?

As Sophie hung up, Keefe pondered what Sophie said. She was acting weird. But then, he had been on an edge with Sophie for some reason during the call too.

He wondered why he had been rude to Sophie. And why Sophie and been rude to him. It was very complicated.

"It was just us both tired" he decided.

But, Keefe had a nagging feeling, that it was only going to get worse.

Yeah Keefe! It's only going to get worse. Have you figured out why they're fighting? It you have, congrats! But if you haven't, you'll find out in a couple chapters. And I'll try to post them as soon as possible!
