"Keefe." Sophie stared at him. "You're a Shade."

He smirked, but it looked forced. "Finally! I'm gonna be better then Bangs Boy!"

" Keefe! " Sophie said exasperated. "Stop goofing around."

" But it's so fun. " He whined.

She rolled her eyes.

"Keefe's a Shade?" Grady asked. "If the Neverseen wanted a Shade, they could've taken Tam again."

" Maybe Keefe is gonna be a better Shade or something. " Sophie mused.

"So you're saying," Keefe said, " That I'm better than Bangs Boy?! "

"Keefe! Stop it. I'm trying to think."

" Well sheesh. I'm sorry your Highness. "

Sophie groaned.

"Well, we need to get him a mentor." Sophie pointed out.

" No duh. " Keefe said. "My skillz need to be shown off!"

" Keefe. " Sophie said turning her head to look at him. "You don't have 'skillz'." She air-quoted ' skillz'.

"Foster!" Keefe clutched his heart. "You didn't just say that!"

" Oh yes I did. " Sophie said rolling her eyes.

"Should we tell them to stop?" Whisper hissed Elwin.

"I dunno." Marella replied. " it's kinda entertaining. "

Sophie spun around. "Ugh! Let's go." She said marching off.

" Dramatic much? " Marella giggled.

"Just come on!" She yelled.

They out th leaped to Foxfire, to find Lady Zilla.

"What do you want?" She asked sourly.

"We need you to mentor Keefe."

" Why Keefe? He's not a Shade. "

"He is."

" He isn't. "

"He is."

" He isn't. "

"He is."

" He isn't. "

"He is!"

" He-" she was cut off by Keefe gathering some shadows.

"He is." She breathed.

" I told you. "

"Why do you want me to mentor him anyway?" She asked . "I'm already mentoring Tam."

"Because we want you to mentor them both. Together. "

"Fine."

"This should be interesting." Fitz laughed.

Keefe glared at him.

"Well. Keefe, training starts tomorrow at ten. No later."

"Yes Ma'am!"

She walked away grumbling about some stupid nonsense, and kids these days.

"Well Keefe," Sophie said folding her arms around her chest. " it looks you'll be busy for awhile. "

She light leaped out leaving everyone laughing except Keefe.

"Hmph."
