Episode 52: Faith Sealer
*Starting Scene*
Starting from where things left off previously, Mammoth becomes quite enraged due to not liking what Dante just said, especially the part where he called them "Dogs", and resumes the overwhelming production of his magic. "I won't stand aside as the outcast of our worst enemy brazenly insults us! I will dispose of you without error, Dante Einsburn!"
Dante plainly neglects Mammoth while steering his attention back to Cassius and says in a laid-back tone, "Hey, Cassius! Since you got a bunch of info in your head, you wouldn't happen to know where this Grand Elder Richard resides, would you?!"
Mammoth's completely baffled at how effortlessly Dante eliminated his existence as he stutters over and over in search of the correct words to issue a complaint.
Though he's quite confused by the sudden inquiry, having put his left hand down not that long ago to continue watching Dante and Mammoth's discussion, Cassius sets his vision on the green-eyed individual before nodding. "I do, although I've never been there. He's at the center piece of the Saints' five main headquarters. It's in Raivel for a matter of fact, and of course, contains a substantial number of their members, making it impossible to infiltrate unless you have an army of equal magnitude."
Dante slyly responds with his eyes glistening a little as he mildly slants his posture toward Cassius' direction. "But you know its location, right?"
Cassius calmly answers while trying to figure out why Dante's asking that in the back of his mind. "Correct, however like I said less than ten seconds ago, it's impossible to infiltrate with a small group. Last time I checked, which wasn't that far back, that base has tens of thousands of men guarding its perimeter alone."
Dante straightens himself and lackadaisical waves off Cassius' notion with his right hand. "Don't sweat the small stuff." He returns his gaze to Mammoth as the blonde happily utters after lowering his right hand. "This is where we part ways! You take care of yourself and I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible!" Dante chuckles.
Mammoth sternly objects as a hint of rage's displayed and takes a step forward via his left foot. "Like I would let you leave with no resistance! It is absurd for you to even think that! We are to fight right here and now!" The green-haired adult's about to do something so he could ensure that Dante doesn't escape, but is cut off by witnessing an unknown object flying toward all three men's vicinity from the background of his opponents with stupendous agility.
Dante confidently grins without deviating his attention from Mammoth while saying prior to the speeding objects arrival, "You talk as if that was our destiny. Too bad I'm not much of a fan of that concept. It's okay though. You'll have your hands full with this dude over here."
With those words spoken, someone accelerates through the spacious gap dividing Dante and Cassius, startling the latter due to him not expecting that to happen, as whoever it is collides upon the ground pretty close to Mammoth's location while creating a big cloud of smoke. Following that, the smoke dissolves to reveal an unconscious Ansol lying on his back, having a sandal print embedded on his right cheek, and is in rough shape to say the least because of his harsh landing. Meanwhile, at a good distance away, Sano easily lands on his feet with both hands clutching Ruyi Jingu Bang while it continues to be attached to his lower back, glances at the three individuals and contentedly greets them. "What's up, guys?!"
Cassius' promptly dumbfounded once he sees Sano's presence and momentarily strains himself to speak in a low volume. "It's... That hyperactive boy from the hot springs... I believe his name was Sano..."
Dante joyously replies to Sano after cocking his head toward the right and back to rest his focus on the half-breed as he puts both hands into his back pockets. "Nothing much! I'm glad you're here!" The long-sleeved lad properly looks at Mammoth again while cunningly smirking and slightly nudges his head forward. "Can you fight that guy over there?"
A bit of surprise overcomes Mammoth's expression while steadily reversing his left foot's placement to be poised next to his other limb.
Sano instantly nods without hesitation as his concentration's locked onto Dante and is wholeheartedly smiling. "Sure!"
Cassius resumes being dumbfounded for several seconds until rapidly shaking his head to snap out of it, faces toward Sano and demonstrates a criticizing look while gesturing his left arm ahead of himself. "That's it?! You won't even ask why he wants you to fight him?!" The white-haired gentleman swiftly veers his left hand to the side as it remains stretched out. "What kind of person agrees with no knowledge of the reason?!"
Both Dante and Sano commandeer their attention to Cassius in an undeterred way before concurrently stating with some delight brimming, "The awesome kind!"
Cassius' disheartened by the united response with his shoulders slouching while putting his extended appendage down and grovels shamefully, "Did they just sort of mocked me? But they weren't even here when I said it... And now that I hear it from them, it sounds SO cheesy..." He drops his head as a sigh escapes his lips.
Dante turns toward Cassius as his vision's presently on Sano. "I'll be going now, Sano! Do your best!"
Sano lifts his left hand near his shoulder pertaining to that same side to give Dante a thumbs up. "Right back at you!"
Dante happily receives Sano's gesture and then heads to Cassius after mounting his attention upon the hazel-eyed Spellcaster without an ounce of worry shown.
Just when Dante's about to walk a few meters in front of Sano, Mammoth tries to interfere via use of his amazing velocity that's been displayed throughout his time in Velkry.
Sadly for the Wilde Family leader, Sano quickly unstraps Ruyi Jingu Bang with his right hand so he could aim one of its ends at Mammoth and passively says while lowering his left hand, "Extend." This leads to the orange staff greatly increasing in length and reaches all the way to Mammoth's left pectoral, however, halts with a measly centimeter of space.
In the meantime, Dante simply steps below Ruyi Jingu Bang with no problem at all, acting like nothing out of the ordinary even occurred, and continues his way toward Cassius in an upright position.
Mammoth briefly stares at the outstretched weapon poised before him until directing a furious glare to Sano. "Death awaits those who intervene! You clearly aren't a Spellcaster, meaning you have no reason to be involved, so take this generous opportunity I am allowing you to flee!"
Sano's significantly intrigued as he keeps a firm grasp on Ruyi Jingu Bang. "Whoa! You're willing to overlook the part about me being responsible for Ansol's defeat and are granting me salvation?! That's cool!" His expression then reflects seriousness. "Do I seem like the type who needs to be saved though? Wipe off the dirt in your eyes, jackass. I've already been saved, and even if I hadn't, you wouldn't be my ideal hero." Sano smiles.
During Sano's minor conversation with Mammoth, Dante had arrived at Cassius' location while telling him something that totally baffled the sword-wielder to the extent of Cassius inability to speak for a while. Eventually, tired of waiting for a verbal rebuttal, the blonde draws his right foot backwards without diverting his gaze from the older Caucasian and unprecedentedly kicks Cassius' left shin.
Cassius quickly feels an intense sting course within his body as he shivers a tad until raising his left leg to grab a hold of his shin via his left hand and hops around with his head down while maintaining his right hand's grip onto the Longsword. "Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!" He suddenly stops, returns his left foot to the torn landscape, confronts Dante with his left hand clenched into a fist while stationed forward to threaten the hoodie-endowed human and angrily shouts, "What was that?!"
Dante blandly replies. "A kick to the shin. Now, are you gonna' do me that favor? Not like it's impossible to do."
Cassius pulls away his left hand from ahead of himself, soothing the hostility accumulating at his core in the process, and coldly states, "It may not be impossible, but you have to be out of your mind to do that!"
Dante innocently watches Cassius while tilting his head to the right. "Hmm?"
Realization overtakes Cassius as he rolls his eyes toward the left prior to shutting them. "What am I saying? You have INSANE written all over your face. Part of the reason why I never wanted Ilya to get more involved with you than she already had." The white-haired man opens his eyes while administering a stern look upon Dante. "Don't think I've forgotten. This whole disaster transpired because of you. I swear on my honor as a Class S Spellcaster that I'll make you pay, Dante."
Dante sharply nods with a sincere grin surfacing. "I hear you loud and clear! Thanks, Cassius! Just wait here and don't butt into Sano's fight, okay?!"
Cassius begrudgingly agrees to Dante's request via a hesitant nod since he didn't like the idea of not doing anything to insure Velkry's safety. After doing that, the cloaked individual sheaths the Longsword to his waist and aims both hands at Dante as he passionately declares, "Teleport!"
Dante instantaneously disappears from where he was standing, not issuing a single word of goodbye to Cassius.
*Scene Change*
Constructed atop a gravel terrain while expanding across a vast region, nearly a hundred skyscrapers and buildings are present as the Saints Organization's emblem is etched on all of them. The immense structures are neatly organized in a manner that allows them to create the shape of a crucifix if someone were to see it from the sky as they contain only four main, spacious roads that cross with each other at the center. Right in the intersection, with a substantial amount of room, resides an incredible building that could be easily compared to a towering, Roman-styled cathedral of a grayish/white coloring and has many stone-material crucifixes perched on its flat top while also owning the angelic wings that represents them, however unlike the other structures, the emblem's embedded upon every visible side possible.
At the moment, it's a nice, uneventful day for all those within the massive collection of buildings as minimal clouds are noted while countless priest wannabes stand outside of a circular, cement/brick wall that extends high into the sky, peaking at around two hundred meters, and perfectly encompasses the structures inside it. Also, like the Saints Organization's headquarters that Dante and the others invaded, the entire wall's top part is full of masked men, who are keeping an eye out for anything coming from afar despite the fact their face is covered.
Meanwhile, in the final floor of the majestic, cathedral, an elderly man with fair skin sits at an intricate, silver-plated throne and is dressed in silver/white garments resembling a pope's. This includes the iconic mitre placed over the elderly adult's head containing the same color as his attire with no one else around. While he leisurely sits via both hands lying on the seat's armrests, it's visible that the individual possesses an obese body that equals Melvin's, has dark brown eyes and really short, somewhat spiky, maroon hair as he wears a silver cross dangling from his neck. Next to the pope-looking male's left is a small, rounded table that holds a single, thick book with the title "God's Only Son" written on the cover in silver letters and a plate holding red apples stationed closer to him. Some time then passes by with the maroon-haired gentleman analyzing the room's confines he's currently in, which is excellently decorated like any typical place that would be considered fit for royalty, until resting his gaze on the apples and slowly starts reaching out for one via his left hand.
Before that could be accomplished though, poised a few miles above the towering structure, the sound of rushing wind overflows due to there being a rapid descent that suddenly commenced as whatever is falling heads straight at the cross-shaped facility's core with nothing in its way aside a few clouds. Soon enough, an enormous impact resounds while smoke instantly expels from the cathedral's top, causing everyone outside and inside the outstanding structure to become extremely alarmed. After that, a handful of masked men frantically rush to a sizable paternoster lift powered by several automatic, chain-based pulleys and begin ascending through the cathedral to aid the person they know resides there with one taking a moment to notify those outside of what happened via a grey-colored item that looks like an intercom. "There was a crash! A crash in Grand Elder Richard's room! We're investigating it now! Be on standby, everyone!"
Having said that, the priest wannabes hurriedly get to a giant door that has the Saints Organization's emblem plastered on it too and don't even take a second of contemplation to barge inside once the paternoster opened. This results in smoke spreading towards them, which oddly makes them cough a few times despite their mouth not directly receiving any of it thanks to the mask's obstruction, while halting their progressing in front of the lone entrance/exit and scan the area with one of them concernedly shouting, "Grand Elder! Are you alright?!"
A response is swiftly issued, however, not from who they wanted to hear as the voice talks in a devilish tone. "For now, he is." Dante's slowly shown at the room's midway point after most of the fog disintegrates, revealing a bunch of rubble and broken crucifixes scattered randomly, while nonchalantly standing sideways inside a miniature crater he apparently forged out of the marble floor comprising the intricately-designed zone. He presently watches Grand Elder Richard via his head turned toward the right as he's facing the quarter's left wall and lackadaisically says, "Hello, there. Don't mind me. I managed to land on my feet, so I'm okay even though I smashed into this place at almost sonic speeds." Curiosity takes shape as the young adult checks out the floor. "What's amazing is how all I made was this poor excuse of a hole. Where's the logic in that?"
The Saints Organization members are rendered speechless while rummaging through their minds who's the individual before them.
Grand Elder Richard remains sitting in his throne with his left hand having failed to acquire an apple due to all of them falling off the now downed table because of the massive quake caused by the crash while some roll on the floor aimlessly. Not long after putting his left arm back atop the throne's armrest, the old man temporarily examines Dante's characteristics until peering upward and finds that a partial fragment of the ceiling has collapsed, leaving a significant hole that allows the sky's visibility. Amidst him doing that, Grand Elder Richard emits a contempt personality as he states without veering his eyes away from the sky, "Thou has made such an unparalleled disgrace a reality. Tainting the pristine of this holy place with thy despicable arrival." He navigates his attention onto Dante with no change to his demeanor. "I hope it was worth dying for, Dante Einsburn."
Dante halfheartedly smiles at Grand Elder Richard and mildly moves his limbs to relieve any stiffening they're feeling. "We've never met personally, and yet, you know who I am without introduction. Did you deduce who I was based on me looking kind of like Kai?"
Grand Elder Richard shakes his head as a solemn look replaces his contempt. "No. It is thy father, Izachi, who thou share an eerily resemblance to. That is how I knew." The brown-eyed person removes his back from the throne and rises to his feet, demonstrating that he's merely a couple of inches taller than Dante. "And I know why thy is here. Honestly, thou is ridiculous to go so far for revenge."
Dante chuckles with both hands parting from his back pockets since they had been there the whole time while stationing them upon opposing sides of his being and fiercely clenches the appendages into fists. "I finally found you... You're the guy who executed the only member of my family that I ever came to trust and love..." His eyes intensify as both God's Power Glove and the Sealing Glove shine brightly while passionately yelling, "You killed Hitomi! For that, with all my anger and hatred, I'm going to kill you!"
Hearing Dante's outburst causes the minuscule group of masked men to act hastily via charging forth so they could prevent the blonde from even attempting his declaration and unitedly release a valiant cry.
Dante, not wishing to waste time with the look alikes, spreads his legs to widen his stance as he focuses on the floor below, ferocity radiating profoundly from the green-eyed lad, and punches it via his left hand. Within that instant, multiple cracks fluctuate everywhere while overtaking the walls and ceiling prior to the room completely breaking apart with a mighty burst. This leads to the cathedral-like structure's top part to explode in its entirety as any sort of immediate footing available has been eliminated, which includes the nearby paternoster lift's destruction. Simultaneously, the priest wannabes scream in dismay while various sizes of debris and furniture that resided inside Grand Elder Richard's quarters fly haphazardly. Among the floating items, one of the red apples gradually hurls itself toward Dante, who effortlessly caught it with his right hand, and then steers the limb out of the way while commenting without much emotion, "That did the trick. Sure, going to 15% right off the bat is sort of overkill, but screw it."
Grand Elder Richard intently observes Dante while using his left hand to maintain the mitre on his head. "Teleport." The husky individual suddenly vanishes until popping up in front of Dante with half a meter separating them as his right hand's prepared to strike. "Strength up." Grand Elder Richard's veins become notable along his right arm and launches the amplified limb at Dante.
Dante tries to cross his arms forward to block the attack, but doesn't succeed in doing so because of his body instantaneously freezing up and raises his eyebrows out of surprise.
At the same time, Grand Elder Richard hits Dante right in the face as that sends the blonde backwards with absurd velocity after remarking plainly, "Immobilize."
Dante's back soon slams through numerous, large, chunks of debris while emanating a decent amount of pain and then collides with the door that lead into Grand Elder Richard's Throne Room due to there not being enough momentum to break through it as well. Afterwards, the debris, furniture, look alikes, Grand Elder Richard and Dante reach the central area of the cathedral-styled building that barely managed to elude dismemberment with a gigantic horde of priest wannabes present while there's a immense, silver bell located at the back as a decorative piece. Some then come into contact with the floor, most unceremoniously, as the spectators desperately attempt to dodge every projectile raining down upon them.
Despite his physique, Grand Elder Richard lands on his feet with a heavy thud, stationed several meters in front of the bell, and doesn't demonstrate a shred of discomfort as he takes his left hand off the mitre while staring at the section ahead since Dante just crashed there, still having the big door attached to his back. "Does thou make it a habit of colliding against things, be it on purpose or not?"
Dante calmly lies on the door in a sprawled position as the Caucasian's facing toward the sky, not giving much attention to the shower that's transpiring around him, with both of his gloves continually glowing and escaped the previous ordeal unscathed. "Good question." He draws his right hand toward his mouth, revealing that he didn't lose his grasp on the red apple he caught, while biting onto it without trouble.
A hint of worry establishes itself on Grand Elder Richard while situating both hands toward opposite sides of his person before inquiring, "How is it that thy has regained mobility? I did not dissolve the Immobilization Spell."
Dante persists eating the apple, sits up to better concentrate on Grand Elder Richard and chooses not to implement a rebuttal as the downpour that everyone else are occupied in avoiding ceases.
Grand Elder Richard isn't too pleased by Dante's lack of cooperation as he sternly shouts, "If thou is so willing to refuse, I shall merely administer it again! Immobilize!"
Dante's whole body stops for an instance until the Immobilization Spell's abruptly dispelled, allowing the green-eyed male to keep eating. This comes to an end not long after thanks to the blonde finishing the apple while Dante tosses it aside via his right and steadily gets to his feet with his head down a bit.
Grand Elder Richard can't help being awestruck at how ineffective his spell suddenly is and asks with mild rage, "What is happening?!"
Many of the masked men surrounding the two individuals facing off set their sights on them while a handful are aiding the ones who had also fell from the cathedral's upper half.
Right after that, Grand Elder Richard goes into a verbal rampage as he furiously and repetitively yells, "Immobilize!"
Each time that word's spoken, Dante becomes entrapped by the spell, however in a split second, is freed while seeming quite bored with Grand Elder Richard's efforts after a few times. "It won't work."
Grand Elder Richard detains his flurry while directing a shocked look at Dante.
Dante promptly explains without interest and elevates his left hand next to his left cheek as the hoodie-wearing lad commences brimming an ill will toward Grand Elder Richard. "Breaker's the source of your anguish. It cancels out any magic that has a serious chance of risking my life." The blonde looks at the God's Power Glove while slightly exhibiting a wary behavior. "Though, it has kind of a time-lag. Luckily, it's nothing I can't handle." Dante puts his hand down as he focuses on the maroon-haired person. "By the way, you indeed got a free shot in, but that was mainly because you cast the Immobilization Spell out of instinct. After all, I wasn't expecting you to use something I've only met one other person who's done it to me. Either way, you can have complete mastery of that spell and it still won't work the full way you want. You'd do better relying on the other four when it comes to fighting me."
Grand Elder Richard's attitude switches to now emit suspicion. "Thou already knows? Was it from reading my mind?"
Dante firmly nods while gradually advancing toward Grand Elder Richard. "Exactly. Looks like you have a habit of thinking about a lot of stuff at once, although the fact that you're an ordinary Spellcaster with no specialized magic came up after you punched me in the face. It must suck knowing all that you're good for is wielding the five spells any Spellcaster can use and being the leader of annoying, egotistical idiots."
Grand Elder Richard permits a tiny laugh to escape his lips and speaks as he ignores most of Dante's taunt. "I am a very old man. I constantly reminisce to ensure I do not forget the values taught to me and the things I have done in God's name. I may not have a type of magic, however, I achieved something spectacular. I am the lone individual in history to master all five of those spells." The pope-looking gentleman grins cynically. "Which reminds me... Does thee prefer to read my mind or hear me detail everything I had done to thy's dear cousin? Here is a hint. The Immobilization Spell was exceedingly useful in the prevention of her resisting me and everyone else that took part."
Dante shivers from anger with his hair standing on end and hands tensing profusely. "You really want to screw yourself, huh?! I don't need you to tell me or even remotely think about that! I already know!"
Grand Elder Richard hurriedly shows concern as he retracts his right foot, placing the obese man partially sideways. "How would thee possibly know?!" Urgency joins in while the adult gazes at the priest wannabes. "Do not simply stand there! God is always watching, wondering who shall earn His favor! Actions speak louder than prayers!"
The look alikes barely hesitate prior to acting on Gran Elder Richard's orders with magic starting to emanate while rushing toward Dante in unison. Unfortunately for them, the masked men failed to obtain Dante's attention as the long-sleeved young man utilizes Accelerator to launch himself skyward without giving the charging Spellcasters any time in halting and accidentally strike each other via different spells being cast.
During the priest wannabes' blunder, Grand Elder Richard keeps his eyes glued on Dante and witnesses that the green-eyed gentleman's traveling forward to be above him. Once that's achieved, the mitre-wearing man swiftly runs backwards just when Dante initiated a front flip while descending fast to the elderly adversary. This causes the blonde to impact upon the floor that's also constructed out of marble via a mighty kick from his right foot as a deep impression is cemented with many cracks forming. Even though he saw what a lone kick's capable of, Grand Elder Richard displays a serious personality and isn't that far from the silver bell behind him. "Thou have superb strength, however, hatred shall be thy's undoing."
Dante grits his teeth scornfully as he hastily adjusts his footing to commandeer his left arm back. "I know that too! I didn't ask for your opinion though!" He throws a left punch at Grand Elder Richard, who counteracted with his right fist, while collision occurred and forced a tremendous shock-wave to expand. Due to that, all the Saints Organization affiliates in the room are hit by the explosive gust until giving into it and are sent flying uncontrollably, painfully smashing onto the walls. Plus, the silver bell begins chiming since it's receiving a direct impact from the shock-wave, flailing around madly, while narrowly not hitting Grand Elder Richard's back by a single inch of space existing. Immediately after that, Dante's eyes mildly widen out of disbelief, but still retains his angry demeanor with his and Grand Elder Richard's fist continuing their struggle to overcome the other. "We're evenly matched, although Breaker's at 15%?!"
Grand Elder Richard coldly retorts with his left hand holding tightly to his mitre. "Evenly matched, thy say? That is sorely incorrect. Teleport." The brown-eyed enemy disappears from ahead of Dante, making the male contort forth due to the pressure he was applying losing what was stabilizing it, and materializes right behind the Caucasian while issuing another strike with his right hand, however this one is fixed onto the back of Dante's head.
Dante quickly responds by swinging his right arm back while lifting it high enough to land his elbow on Grand Elder Richard's knuckles, blocking the assault with no real problem, and then blandly comments, "You're actually right. I'm neglecting the fact that Breaker has much more to offer, but I have to restrain myself from doing anything rash. Also, just so you know, I'm naturally right-handed."
Grand Elder Richard instantly understands the situation as the giant bell's ringing stops since the shock-wave had subsided, lets go of his mitre and gingerly withdraws his right appendage while sternly yelling, "Speed up!" The maroon-haired Spellcaster abruptly sends a plethora of punches with agility too quick for the normal eye could see.
Dante deflects via using both arms to shield himself and dodges the first array of strikes so he could veer around to face Grand Elder Richard before commencing his own barrage as his gloves shine endlessly. Numerous blows are then acquired by the two opponents, although none are really deteriorating the relentless pacing demonstrated while Dante takes into account that his right hand has yet to touch Grand Elder Richard. "You're fighting smart, choosing to avoid the Sealing Glove even if it means you'll get brutalized by Breaker. That translates to you fearing Lucifer more than God, you know?"
Grand Elder Richard harshly grunts while stepping in powerfully with his left foot to administer a right punch on Dante's left cheek, which connects thanks to its sheer speed, as that rattles the hoodie-endowed lad's brain. This results in a marvelous opportunity for the Saints Organization's main leader, one he's easily willing to take, and callously starts instilling an unforgiving assortment of hits involving his four limbs.
Dante, unable to regain his bearings since the assault isn't permitting a second of reprieve, suffers substantial damage throughout his person as he whiplashes according to each strike with an agonized grimace appearing while having his eyes shut.
Grand Elder Richard laughs triumphantly with his mitre slipping off his head because of the excessive movements he's producing until stating maliciously, "I must say due to it weighing on my mind from the moment thy uttered it! I do not believe thou truly knows what was done to Hitomi Einsburn leading to her execution for refusing in assisting our righteous effort. It is impossible. Thou likely said it to elude confirmation of what was speculated to have transpired. However, as part of thy's punishment for sullying this representation of our devotion to God, I shall tell thee how she was dishonored!"
Dante unexpectedly parries Grand Elder Richard's arms away, having them positioned on opposing sides of the currently bewildered, fair-skinned man while outstretched, and grabs a hold of the pope wannabe by the collar to pull him close with an enraged expression while fervently screaming, "YOU'RE REALLY PISSING ME OFF, DAMN IT!" He then torques toward his left via a sharp turn and overhead throws Grand Elder Richard at the silver bell.
Grand Elder Richard reverberates a distressful cry as he's hurled upon the bell while upside down and crashes with so much force that the object rapidly earns a vast quantity of cracks until ultimately shattering in a matter of seconds. Following that, a large, metallic heap is born and seemingly buries the husky individual in his entirety.
In the meantime, the Saints Organization personnel had recently rose to their feet to merely watch Grand Elder Richard being tossed into the decorative piece while gawking out of dread. Eventually, fury overruns the horde of masked men as they dash toward Dante with outraged screaming resounding from all of them.
Dante stands upright and glances at his surrounding, not really concentrating on the look alikes, as the green-eyed young man exhibits a calm attitude. "Considering you know my dad, it's no secret that you get what my range is for hearing thoughts. So, trying to get the jump on me is unlikely if it isn't spontaneous." The gloved person weaves backwards while evading a left jab intended for his right cheek by an inch.
Grand Elder Richard peers at Dante out of the corner of his eyes with a solemn behavior surfacing again. "Thou has quelled the anger blinding thee, eh? That is wise."
Dante suddenly yawns with no discretion whatsoever, causing a disgruntled demeanor to plague Grand Elder Richard, after briefly closing his eyes and then vacantly looks at the older male. "Sorry, that wasn't 'cause I find you boring or anything. My insomnia's having its way with me. Although, it's possible that you're to blame. I don't know if you're normally entertaining, so yeah. Could be a reasonable factor." The blonde human nonchalantly plants his right hand onto Grand Elder Richard's stomach. "Oh, and you left an opening, dumb ass. Seal." Dante hurriedly makes a seal take shape on his foe.
Grand Elder Richard panics while retracting his extended limb as his attention's now upon the afflicted region prior to snapping his head up with an upset look, but promptly loses it thanks to Dante unprecedentedly punching him in the face via his left fist. This sends the brown-eyed gentleman into the wall roughly thirty meters behind him while the structure starts breaking apart.
Dante contentedly smirks as he mutters, "I'm pretty lucky, actually. The real me was surging out for a moment. If it wasn't for the fact I had enough sense to throw him into that bell, I would've skipped straight to 20% from how pissed I was. Plus me yawning helped a lot. My mind cleared up quite a bit, but I feel like I'm going to pass out either way." He shifts his gaze toward the right while noticing the charging Spellcasters, who had temporarily canceled their progressing since they saw that Grand Elder Richard was alright until witnessing Dante's previous action and resumed their infuriated advancement. After that, with disinterest overflowing, Dante spreads his stance as he sustains the sideways positioning unintentionally displayed to the priest wannabes, mounts his right hand atop the back of his left hand so he can dig his fingers into the letter "E" owned by that appendage's glove and remarks in an agitated tone, "You guys interfering isn't welcomed. I'll properly kill you once I'm through with your boss." His eyes become emotionless with no sign of empathy. "So, fly away."
That being said, Dante removes his right hand from his left to quickly cock back the appendage wearing God's Power Glove. This only lasts for an instance as the hoodie-endowed Caucasian swings his left fist toward the huge collection of Spellcasters and blasts them with a stupendous shock-wave that doesn't even take a second to elevate everyone. Right after, the look alikes collide onto different sections of the room's confines while the brute strength of Dante's shock-wave makes it impossible to withstand as everything around begins crumbling. As a result, the green-eyed individual relinquishes his stance while dropping both hands to his sides with his focus maintained on the easily defeated priest wannabes. "My parents really should've named me Overkill. I think I ended up killing them with that." He shrugs while his are eyes shut and passively says, "Well, I did go to 17.5%."
After the issuing of that last statement, rapid footsteps can be heard from a distance as they gain onto Dante's location while a battle cry slowly resonates toward the somewhat wavy-haired lad. Then, at the exact moment Dante reopened his eyes to concentrate on the incoming charge, Grand Elder Richard's shown with an assortment of scuffs ailing his body while the walls keep collapsing in the background and throws a hostile-filled punch at the vengeful young adult's face, complements of his left hand that's pulsating several veins. "Immobilize!"
Dante's instantly entrapped while brimming an astonished expression and thinks with there merely being a couple of inches before Grand Elder Richard's fist hits its mark, "He's resistant to my seals too?!" The green-eyed person promptly receives the powerful strike as that causes his head and upper body to tug backwards with his feet almost parting from the floor while adding to his mental conversation via his eyes closing yet again, "I guess he isn't the top dog for nothing!"
Grand Elder Richard rushes to swap hands so he could apply a right-handed blow upon Dante's abdomen after taking a few steps forth to be poised properly as he's still in front of the hoodie-wearing opponent with ferocity visible. "Thy shall now suffer the ultimate fist! It holds the whole weight of my devotion to God! May thee burn in-"
Dante cuts Grand Elder Richard off by unprecedentedly sending his left fist while stopping short of the man's face due to the distance barely being too far, however, ends not mattering because of the shock-wave that immediately hits Grand Elder Richard with impeccable strength as the gloved male comments coldly, "I'll admit that I was very surprised."
Grand Elder Richard soars into the air and releases a distraught groan with his eyes closed while his head is turned toward the left.
Amidst his enemy's ascension, Dante starts repairing his posture without refraining his speech. "I heard your thoughts up until you went on instincts, but I made the mistake to believe I had you beat so quick and that's why you caught me with the Immobilization Spell." He soon attains the upright composition he was after while seeing Grand Elder Richard land on his back. "Though what good does that do if you can't finish me in the split second it takes Breaker to cancel my immobility?" Dante notes the seal continually shining from the Saints Organization leader's gut as curiosity takes over and tilts his head to the right while mumbling, "That's interesting. The seal's actively showing itself." The Caucasian momentarily pauses, straightens his head and resumes talking to himself. "But that mainly happens either when I place temporary seals, which is a lot of the ones I tend to do, or when they're about to expire. The problem with that is the seal I placed on him was meant to last a long time."
Grand Elder Richard commences to stir, having opened up his left eye, as the maroon-haired adversary painstakingly rises to his feet via assistance of both hands since moving is clearly a struggle for him at this instance. Meanwhile, in the background, the decaying of the walls that once enveloped the room have ceased due to there being nothing more to fall down and briefly leaves a cluster of dust floating about.
Dante sternly observes Grand Elder Richard's actions while verbally contemplating at a volume that allows the pope wannabe to hear. "If I'm right, the reason my seal's still present on that belly of yours is that it's having an affect, despite the magical prowess you wield. That means something among your resources is currently lacking. I just need to figure out what. You did use the Immobilization and Strengthening Spell a minute ago, so those are fine. That leaves-"
Grand Elder Richard violently screams after slanting his head back and shutting his eye once more, interrupting Dante in the process, with his magic exploding out as wind circulates excessively in accordance to it. Once that's done, the brown-eyed foe declares aggressively while setting his sights onto Dante, "Maximum Speed!" Grand Elder Richard sprints toward Dante with such an extreme velocity that it instantaneously created a sonic boom, resulting in the section of the marble floor stationed all around him to be totally obliterated, as each step he takes causes the terrain to become deform and shatter. The spiky-haired man then reaches Dante's torso while stretching out his arms forth and passionately shouts with a disdainful glare directed at the human, "Maximum Strength!"
Dante, not having the chance to act, gets tackled by Grand Elder Richard as the unimaginable power and momentum demonstrated drives both of them across the room prior to ultimately being launched from the devastated cathedral that's now beginning to fully cave in, complements of Grand Elder Richard's destructive movements disrupting the little foundation it had left. Because of that, the blonde and his opponent rapidly fly over a part of the immense space provided right outside, where thousands of Saints Organization affiliates had gathered to await their orders, even though they saw the cathedral-like building's eventual downfall as they do nothing other than be stunned. Afterwards, with a continuous flight through the sky having transpired, Dante tries to break Grand Elder Richard's embrace via both hands planted on the maroon-haired man's shoulders so he could push him away as they're advancing upon a skyscraper's midsection.
Grand Elder Richard acknowledges the large structure's presence since his head's peeking out of Dante's right side and hastily relinquishes his grasp on the green-eyed lad while firmly yelling with his eyes now looking at Dante, "Maximum Immobilizer!"
Dante's eyes widen again before everything, including his thoughts and breathing, are detained by Grand Elder Richard's spell.
Succeeding in effectively constraining his adversary, Grand Elder Richard does what Dante had tenaciously attempted to do as he pushes the hoodie-endowed gentleman enough to administer a left, thrust kick with all his might toward Dante's chest. This makes Dante quickly depart from Grand Elder Richard while that helped the older individual's momentum to almost completely stop as the young invader crashes into the skyscraper with a loud bang and smoke accumulating. After achieving that, Grand Elder Richard nonchalantly descends with both hands raised above his head and is currently focused on the ground below.
While that occurs, Dante uncontrollably penetrates through numerous walls pertaining to the building he entered until falling onto the floor because of his momentum dying down, bouncing roughly a dozen times during that, and lies atop his stomach without any movement displayed for a bit as he's stationed in the center of the room. Not long after, the now battered male regains control of everything that was momentarily restricted as Dante strains himself to get up, stumbling a little in the process, and hoarsely says, "Well... That was unexpected... I guess mastering those common spells... Have an awesome benefit, huh?" The wavy-haired person manages to position his posture upright again with his eyes set onto the pathway he made out of someone else's volition, clears his throat and checks the area for anyone.
Fortunately, there's no one to become an instant nuisance, and once that's determined, Dante examines his body as he notes that tears have appeared upon random areas of his clothing while depressingly complains, "Crap! I hate it when this happens!" He peers upward with an exasperated sigh emitted from his mouth, hooking his thumbs into his back pockets, while both gloves finally ceased their glow. "I feel bad asking Yuki or Celty to keep fixing my clothes! It makes me seem irresponsible, damn it!" Realization then consumes him after blinking a few times as he veers his attention forward to stare at the hole once more. "Hey, that's right. He hasn't used that yet. Though, it isn't really something that would be useful in fights."
Simultaneously, Grand Elder Richard marches up to a big building nearby the skyscraper Dante crashed in, which is twice the overall size of the previously mentioned structure, and halts at its front prior to bending forward while crouching significantly. Following that, the pope wannabe navigates both hands back, stabs them inside the gravel terrain with outstanding force that creates a massive earthquake and fiercely grits his teeth as he contorts backwards. This gives birth to a plethora of tremors while the building gradually elevates and is soon fully hoisted over Grand Elder Richard's head at a tilted angle with chunks of earth falling off it.
Within the raised structure, countless masked men lose their balance with others investigating what's the source of the building's sudden change in composition via looking out the large, rectangular windows plaster along the cement-based mass' front and discover that its their leader while one desperately shouts, "Grand Elder! What are you doing, sir?!"
Grand Elder Richard vaguely hears the distressed inquiry as he gazes at the collection of members and replies with not a shred of remorse exhibited. "Punishing a heathen! Be proud! Thy sacrifices shall be commended forever!" The obese adult diverts his concentration from the building to place his vision upon the ground while adjusting his hands to be in an overhand grip since they were poised the other way when lifting the building.
Witnessing those actions, the look alikes hastily begin pleading with Grand Elder Richard while a good amount of them pound on the glass via one or both hands being clenched tightly.
Heartlessly neglecting the Saints Organization personnel's cries, Grand Elder Richard faces toward the skyscraper housing Dante and powerfully jettisons the giant structure skyward, propelling it almost fifty meters above the towering mass before coming back down in slow motion from the pope-looking male's perspective. Not taking that long, the enormous object collides with the skyscraper's peak, inevitably destroying it, while vertically piercing through without trouble as a repetitive wave of thuds, smoke and different-sized debris reverberate.
Dante brings his gaze to the ceiling because of the loud noise generated over his head with curiosity resurfacing. "That doesn't sound pleasant." He instantly sees the whole ceiling explode, smoke surging downward, while the walls surrounding him swiftly crack and shatter. A bit after that, Dante's confronted by the formidable mass containing thousands of people inside, something the blonde knows solely thanks to hearing their thoughts, as its end steadily progresses toward Dante since the skyscraper is obstructing the building's speed while the Caucasian quips, "Yup, I was right. Total badness at twelve o'clock." God's Power Glove resumes shining brilliantly with Dante confidently smiling. "20% just to be sure I hit it out of the park. I know it's a crazy gamble, but I feel like testing my luck." The green-eyed individual gets his left arm ready via partially bending it with the limb next to him until jabbing skyward, causing an intense shock-wave to blast out. This leads to the building receiving the impressive shock-wave as it rockets through the sky while starting to disintegrate under the incredible force afflicting the structure and then blows up into pieces.
During the building's extraordinary bursts, horrific screams echo from the masked men who were once in the massive object, but now find themselves haphazardly flying around with chunks of marble, cement and furniture also airborne while some are hurled upon the priest wannabes, which results in numerous brutal injuries.
Dante watches the decaying building's departure after putting his left hand down without God's Power Glove halting its radiance as bits drop to the floor and cheerfully says, "Worked like a charm!" The hoodie-wearing male glances at his left hand due to slanting his head in that direction a tad while reducing his tone. "I think I've been misjudging how much of Breaker's power I can handle. Still, can't be too full of myself, so it's best I avoid being reckless. That's Trace's job after all." Dante chuckles.
At the same time, Grand Elder Richard just saw the elevation and somewhat obliteration of the structure he had tossed onto the skyscraper, knowing real well the reason for it, as he murmurs in an irritated voice, "His defiance is unyielding, although I have escalated my magic to such a high degree!" He scoffs furiously. "I am permitted with no other options because of it!" Grand Elder Richard aims the palm of his left hand at the vast assortment of debris travelling upward and firmly shouts, "Maximum Restoration!"
As those words were issued, the destroyed building abruptly returns to its former glory, absorbing every piece that separated including those currently lying on the floor, as it had recaptured all of the look alikes who were soaring helplessly before gravity plays its role in making the structure descend for the second time, continuing to be over the substantially damaged skyscraper and Dante.
Dante looks up with a hint of bewilderment demonstrated while grinning nervously. "I take it back! I was wrong on that one! The Restoration Spell is SO useful in a fight if it's used that way!" A menacing demeanor overcomes his expression, having briefly uncurled his left hand to then clench it strongly, and solemnly states as there's minimal space between himself and the building within ten measly seconds thanks to nothing deterring its trajectory, "Not like that matters, really." Dante hurriedly releases another punch so he could repeat the previous event involving the descending structure via an equally powerful shock-wave, however, at a much closer range that has his fist nearly touching the building's bottom end. Soon after, the shock-wave's sheer might forces the building away as it gradually breaks apart again with Dante intently staring ahead.
Having witnessed the great mass' expulsion, Grand Elder Richard takes the initiative to jump into the air with the help of the Speed Spell, which has him journey upward impeccably fast. Afterwards, the brown-eyed adult reaches the height of the practically levitating building right when it explodes completely as he floats over to the structure. Once that's accomplished, Grand Elder Richard enters through the scattering debris while eluding everything flung at him, especially the Saints Organization members he had doomed, and faces downward to set his vision onto Dante as he commences to fall with the dismembered building still ascending into the sky.
Dante steers his left hand to the side so he could get a perfect view of Grand Elder Richard as he wholeheartedly yells, "It's the Teleportation Spell, huh?! That's what my seal has locked up! If it wasn't, you wouldn't be going through so much trouble to get to me!"
The veins on Grand Elder Richard's face dilate profusely out of rage prior to turning himself upside down, allowing his speed to improve while his outfit flutters a lot, without deviating his attention from Dante. "Be silent as judgment comes to thee!" The maroon-haired man thrusts both hands forward as they're profoundly clutched, making him appear like Superman when flying, and eventually arrives at Dante's location via unimaginable velocity while emanating overwhelming hostility amidst screaming, "MAXIMUM IMMOBILIZER!"
Dante, not willing to fall for the same trick yet again, predicted Grand Elder Richard's course of action and leaped to the right before the Immobilization took affect as the blonde narrowly dodges the advancing foe. This results in a gigantic impact transpiring with the entire floor being annihilated while the skyscraper's foundation gives way and begins collapsing. In midair, Dante's maneuverability hurriedly comes back despite the immense sum of magic Grand Elder Richard had utilized to ensure a long-lasting influence while fervently proclaiming after turning his body to confront the Saints Organization leader, "I got you!"
Grand Elder Richard snaps his head toward the left to rest his gaze upon Dante as fear arises while unconsciously commandeering his lower half, making him take on a horizontal posture now.
Dante swiftly pulls his left foot backwards before swinging it and lands a severe kick onto Grand Elder Richard's stomach while launching the opponent skyward because of the great strength he applied, even though the green-eyed human had no footing for assistance. After that, the young man promptly analyzes the region with mild intrigue brimming as he starts to fall until finding an airborne, square-shaped table that remains intact roughly twenty meters below him as there are many others like it, suggesting the level Dante recently entered to be a dining room, and goes to the object by imitating how Grand Elder Richard descend, saved the part he took a Superman-like pose.
Concurrently, Grand Elder Richard continues his unintended journey with his eyes shut as he's bent forth and soon enters the various debris that kept escalating into the sky while notably containing very few masked men at a higher level since most of them have dropped to their deaths long ago.
Then, Dante plants both feet atop the table he was aiming for while not wasting time to relocate his attention to the broken building and Grand Elder Richard as he crouches quite a bit. With that done, the blonde becomes a blur, kicking the table away because of the impulse used to soar into the air, and gets to Grand Elder Richard in less than three seconds. This is immediately followed by a fast, left-handed punch to the enemy's face without permitting any chance for Grand Elder Richard to even open his eyes as Dante appeared on the pope wannabe's left during the implementation of his strike.
Grand Elder Richard's about to resume his ascension thanks to Dante's attack with an agonized yell emitted, however, doesn't go too far as the hoodie-endowed adversary vanishes after placing his right hand upon the older man's rib section so he could apparently push off him. Due to that, the fair-skinned adult gradually opens his eyes, veers them toward his left and tries to search for Dante with a pained expression. Suddenly, Grand Elder Richard is assaulted by an extremely fast bombardment from every direction possible, causing the pope-looking person to torque repeatedly in accordance with each blow, while hovering in one general spot.
Obviously, Dante's the reason behind the stupendous barrage that's comprised of punches and kicks brought on Grand Elder Richard via accelerating off nearby, large chunks of marble, cement or furniture every time he wants to administer a hit. This lets the Caucasian zoom around without really stopping since he uses the momentum from his strikes to maintain a remarkable pace.
Grand Elder Richard can't do anything to counter Dante's relentless flurry as he simply grits his teeth to bear the agony tormenting the Spellcaster with his right eye closed while the other barely manages to stay opened and stares idly at the ground below him, which is presently visible because of the skyscraper finishing its collapse in a spread out manner that inadvertently made a handful of other towering structures fall. While experiencing the unforgiving beating from Dante, it can be seen that the surviving priest wannabes in the background finally plummet due to gravity with terrified cries reverberating as some call out to Grand Elder Richard, but plainly ignores them and weakly mutters, "God, save me..."
Dante instantaneously shows up next to Grand Elder Richard's right this time while upside down to land a devastating kick onto the back of his opponent's head via his right shin. This blasts the brown-eyed gentleman downward as he's spinning haphazardly with a distraught scream echoing while Dante impulses himself to a big slate of cement that's stationed several meters above after doing a couple of back-flips. He then lands on the object's surface via the palm of his right hand and soles of both shoes resting upon it, still being in an upside down position, as he peers at Grand Elder Richard with a serious demeanor. "He won't save you!" Dante jumps off the slate to descend toward the maroon-haired male with magnificent agility as both hands are poised toward opposing sides of his waist.
As Dante steadily gains on him, Grand Elder Richard ceases his rotation with his person facing in the blonde's direction while both arms are outstretched beside him. Not even a few seconds later, the Spellcaster feels an unexpected sensation of freedom overflowing and quickly opens his right eye to have his full vision set on the seal Dante had installed while noticing that it's dissipating. This draws out a glimmer of hope from within as Grand Elder Richard joyously shouts once the seal completely vanished, "I knew our sovereign lord would not let me die! I am too important for such a fate!" He looks toward Dante, having a smug composition radiating despite still falling, and states as loud as can, "I shall live forever! Maximum Tele-"
Dante instantly reacts to Grand Elder Richard's words, having also realized that the lone seal he placed is gone, via his eyes widening in an urgent manner and then establishes a determined attitude as he swings his right hand forward with the Sealing Glove's letter "D" shining again before sternly declaring, "Seal!" A small, circular etching takes shape ahead of the lad while moments away from embedding itself onto either its creator or on the air, and in one swift motion, withdraws his right hand to send out a left punch at the seal as God's Power Glove glows a stronger light than the other handwear, resulting in the etching to be blasted away by the mightiest shock-wave produced so far.
Right after that, while trying to complete the casting of his spell, Grand Elder Richard's smacked on the mouth by the oncoming seal as that abruptly silences him and frantically thinks with his eyes glued onto the afflicted body part, "What?! He literally punched in a seal from a distance?! Such a ludicrous thing cannot be real!"
Dante suddenly catches up to Grand Elder Richard, adjusting his stance so his feet could be pointed downward, as the hoodie-wearing person plants his right hand over the enemy's face while grabbing onto the right side of his royal-like attire since Dante's currently positioned there and passionately rebuttals in response to Grand Elder Richard's thoughts with his concentration locked upon the ground that both individuals keep heading towards. "Well, I'm freaking real! Deal with it!"
Grand Elder Richard glances behind himself to investigate the situation until panic overruns his whole being at the mere sight of the ground steadily getting closer and attempts to break Dante's hold, however, discovers that the majority of his strength is inaccessible. It doesn't take him long to deduce the reason behind his loss as it's right in his face and looks at the young man out of the corner of his eyes while desperately thinking, "Thy is mad! We will both die at this rate!"
Dante amusingly laughs with his behavior undeterred, almost seeming like someone who's no longer of right mind. "You wish! Remember how I made my entrance?! I'm a pretty durable bastard, so you're the only one screwed here!" He chuckles in a delighted way prior to quickly switching his lower body to be stationed toward the left while there was barely any space left between them and the ground since they're a split second away from making contact. Following that, Dante drives Grand Elder Richard onto the ground as a huge fluctuation of tremors revolve with a crater being born that encompasses about a forty-meter-long circumference while earth and battered objects fly everywhere.
Eventually, the enormous shock-waves disappear while everything else settles throughout the area as a horde of bloodied corpses lie about in different poses. In the meantime, Grand Elder Richard has joined the deceased due to his head having collided with the terrain first, causing it to easily crack open, and seeps out a substantial sum of blood as his eyes vacantly watch the sky while slack-jawed. For his opponent, nowhere near a similar fate had befallen on him as Dante sustains his right hand atop Grand Elder Richard's mug with his left hand continuing its grip on the dead man's clothing while lying on his side and has his head partially mounted upon his right arm. After some time passes with Dante not budging an inch, possibly taking a break to reflect over the entire battle, the Caucasian removes himself from Grand Elder Richard to sit upright with his legs crossed, both hands placed on top of them and his head cocked back. This leads to Dante releasing a big yawn via both eyes being shut until bringing his head to aim forward as a pair of dark circles have plagued the region beneath his eyes without warning while commenting in a very tired and purely content tone, "Hurrah! I'm awesome!"
