Episode 50: Flying High

*Starting Scene*

Continuing on top of a roof not too far from the Western Gate, Trace faces toward Wing as he gives off a serious attitude, having both hands still mounted on his sides, with Faulch remaining a few meters behind while the large flock of birds examine the new adversary to their tamer without detaining their stationary flight.

Faulch can only gawk in awe, trying to do his best to grasp Trace's unexpected emergence, as he waits for what's next to occur.

Meanwhile, Wing shakes off the electrocution he went through earlier and firmly concentrates his vision upon Trace while keeping his frustration in check, even though he's very enraged right now. "Who are you?!"

Before answering Wing's question, Trace turns red a bit as he takes a deep breath via his visible eye temporarily being shut and then declares in an over-the -top manner while overflowing determination with his gaze back on the ninja-wannabe, "Weren't you listening?! Of course you weren't because I shocked the shit out of you!" The aqua-eyed individual thrusts his right hand into the air, maintaining his other appendage on his waist, while pointing his index finger and middle finger skyward. "I'm the mighty, the impeccable, the guy all the ladies want and the guy their boyfriends/husbands hope to one day be! I'm known by many monikers, but the one you'll need to remember is this one! I'm Trace of Electricity!" He swiftly navigates his outstretched limb at Wing without losing an ounce of his uncharacteristic behavior. "And I'm going to rock you like a hurricane, so watch out!"

A long pause follows with both Faulch and Wing totally baffled by Trace's introduction of himself while a lone crow caws, representing itself as another variation of a cricket chirping when a stale performance is issued.

Trace's clearly ashamed by what he said while grimacing a couple of times and slowly drops his hand. "Uhhh... Let me explain..."

Without warning, hysterical laughter reverberates from the area behind Faulch, quickly gaining the three men's undivided attention as bewilderment shows on their face. Afterwards, it's displayed that Dante's the one laughing while holding onto his sides via both hands and is rolling on the roof's surface with his feet being the closest to Faulch, however, sustains a distance of approximately seven meters away. During his exaggerated movement, the blonde harshly yells in between laughs with his eyes closed, "What was that?! Is that really the best you could come up with?! No one in this world will even get that reference you made at the end! Plus, we have to be careful or copyright will screw us over!" Dante persists his laughing as he cocks his head back and randomly kick his feet around.

Wing cocks his head to the left while overcome by uncertainty and thinks, "A human with dark blonde hair..." He restores his head's angle as he blinks a couple of time while mentally stating amidst his attempt to check Dante's physique, "His description matches, which means he's..."

Trace, brushing aside the part of Dante's dialogue he doesn't remotely understand due to knowing he won't get a straight answer even if he inquired an explanation, hurriedly takes a few steps to his right to fully see the hoodie-wearing lad since Faulch was mildly in the way and angrily retorts after withdrawing his left hand from his waist. "You're the one who told me to say something egotistical to pay you back for the advice! You think I would actually ever talk like that out of my own desire?!"

Dante immediately halts his rolling around, sits up to confront Trace with both hands resting on his currently crossed legs and bluntly nods. "Yup, no doubt. That's especially considering you sort of got influenced by those Digger Spellcasters back in Castelo. You just want to let loose and act kooky whenever you feel like it, but compel yourself to front a boring character instead, believing it to be immature if you behaved any other way."

Trace steers his head to the right so he would cease making eye contact with Dante while blandly ordering, "Shut up, Dante. Just shut up."

Wing keys onto one of Trace's words with his eyes narrowed a tad and mumbles, "Like I suspected. It's indeed him."

Sympathy appears on Dante's face as he casually rises to his feet via his head momentarily lowered, and once he stands upright with both hands inside his back pockets, places his focus onto Trace again. "Okay, I won't shut up, but I'll do you the favor and leave. You should be able to handle that ninja dude alone, although if you need any help, Faulch will surely lend a hand." The green-eyed human switches his gaze toward the right, which is where the Eastern Gate's located, prior to interest taking over. "Anyway, I suck at sitting still for too long, so it's better that I bail." Dante reverts his attention to Trace and cheerfully waves with his right hand elevated to his head's height. "Good luck, Trace." He promptly uses Accelerator to leave via becoming a fast blur that travels toward the right and down the building's side.

Wing momentarily closes his eyes, taking in a breath, while thinking placidly, "It's fine that I let him go. Mammoth will take care of him."

Briefly seeing Dante's departure thanks to vaguely turning his concentration toward the blonde, Trace calmly refaces Wing with Faulch toward his lower right. "I know we're enemies, but please accept my apologies for what I did before. Believe me, that wasn't me at all." The pad-wearing gentleman directs his focus toward Faulch. "You too. I'm seriously sorry."

Faulch and Wing mutually give Trace a dull stare, apparently not convinced by the purple-haired young man's apology.

Trace's right eye twitches a few times as he double-takes between both men while some irritation can be noted and thinks, "I got this weird feeling that they don't believe me..."

Wing hastily moves on from Trace's attempt to save face while speaking in a fervent tone. "I don't care who you are normally! Today, you stealthily attacked me and acted like a cretin, Trace of Electricity! Prepare yourself!"

Acknowledging that as their command, the swarm of birds simultaneously fly down at Trace with vicious aggression expelling.

Trace smiles with amusement arising due to witnessing the united advancement from the aerial creatures while sparks commences to conduct along his body, more specifically his arms that are moderately bent upward so they will be ready for the downpour, prior to skeptically asking, "Has no one ever told you that electricity and things that fly don't mix?" He quickly drives his right arm skyward as it's greatly surging. "Electro Shock!" Trace sends out an electric stream that pierces through the giant horde headed towards him, disrupting many birds' flight trajectory while a sizable number are struck. These winged animals cry in pain because of being severely electrocuted and eventually fall down upon the roof.

Wing instantly bridges the space separating himself and Trace as he firmly says with barely a meter left until contact's made, "What if its purpose was to be a diversion while I utilize my own stealth abilities to defeat you in one blow?" The attractive male hurriedly pulls his right arm toward the side, having the limb raised near the height of his head, so he could swing it horizontally to launch a chop at Trace's left temporal region.

Trace blocks the strike via his left arm pad, complements of him immediately lifting his free arm next to his head, and causes a pretty loud thud to transpire with electricity relentlessly generating. "Predictable. That's why I kept my other arm available."

Wing cackles evilly while inquiring in a curios way, "And what if this was another diversion?"

Abruptly, the hefty faction that avoided Trace's Electro Shock had resumed their airborne charge as they're mere seconds from landing on their target with numerous vocalizations still echoing.

Faulch injects himself into the conversation, continuing to stand at a decent distance from Trace's backside, with determination overrunning him. "That's where I come in! You mustn't forget that I'm also here!" Magic promptly starts to radiate from the shaggy-haired adult's person.

Just when Faulch was going to create a seal, Trace interrupts while overflowing tenacity and an incredible quantity of electricity. "No need! I got this, but you should shield yourself if you don't want to die! Shock Cloak: Storm Variation!" His whole body's enveloped by white electricity that shoots out multiple bolts everywhere, something the spell he's presently utilizing has never really done previously out of Trace's accord. This leads to countless birds getting hit and almost instantly drop to the roof's terrain one after other like the first handful that suffered electrocution.

Doing as Trace advised him, Faulch didn't waste the precious couple of seconds permitted before the aqua-eyed lad cast his spell and created a big seal to deflect all stray bolts flying in his direction while muttering astonishingly, "Amazing...! Is he really only a Class A Minus Spellcaster from what the Royal Council informed me and Cassius last week?!" The cloaked man tries to settle down and persists talking to himself in a low volume. "I'm sensing a magical level that's fairly comparable to Carlile or Kinu, individually speaking. He may need a little more to exactly equal them, however, it's a bit crazy that he practically jumped over a Class A within that time."

While Faulch pondered over Trace's increase in power, Wing swiftly maneuvers around to elude each electrical bolt hurled towards him via sharp weaves of his being and some acrobatic movements befitting one who titles himself as a ninja. In the middle of his remarkably fast mobility, the Asian has no other choice than to make a considerable amount of space to secure his safety from the scattering sparks. Once he accomplishes his goal, Wing ceases his acrobatics so he can face towards Trace while quite content. "Today I'm truly blessed. God has given me not one, but TWO worthy opponents. I have to retract my earlier complaint now." The Animal Tamer cackles a little.

Trace reduces his production of electricity, allowing Faulch to undo his defensive seal, as he solemnly comments with minimal static traveling along his being, "Pay attention. I already stated that I got this, meaning you shouldn't worry about fighting Faulch anymore. I'm your main threat."

Wing smirks, ignoring the pained squawks and twitching of the fallen birds, while there are still a ridiculous sum flying around since they were fast enough to dodge the recent barrage of electrical attacks. "I can't accept that though. It would be me undermining my devotion to always achieve victory in God's name if I did such a putrid thing."

Aggravation takes shape on Trace, although he manages to sustain the majority of his personality. "It's like I'm listening to the same broken record from different players. God this, God that. I have nothing against God, but too much of something eventually starts getting annoying." He glances upward with no real emotion emanated and apologetically mutters, "Don't smite me. I'm only expressing myself." Trace sheepishly chuckles before resetting his sight upon Wing and establishes a stern demeanor while electricity begins increasing in quantity throughout him.

Faulch wisely steps backwards to make sure that he wouldn't get caught up in Trace's surging as he thinks, "His resolve is respectable, however..." The silver-eyed gentleman switches his concentration to Wing with a small amount of concern forming and keeps on thinking. "He won't be able to win... Even with his massive improvement, Trace isn't to a Class S Spellcaster's level yet and that will be the wall blocking his path to victory."

Wing, scanning Trace's composition with a lot of focus, says maliciously while generating slight movement involving his limbs, "Something I will accept is that I must use the last resort all Wilde men and women have, saved my brother Sal. He had to relinquish his to be more of a supporter. It's strange he was gifted that since his strength and height were well above average, making him a commendable fighter. If he ever were to lose, I believe it would be due to being rusty in combat or getting caught off guard by something unexpected that didn't permit his physicality to play a role."

Trace stares at Wing without really fretting what was just uttered, continues expelling electricity and sarcastically rebuttals. "How interesting." The vested young man changes his tone to exhibit a somewhat callous attitude. "You're talking about the Bestial Merging Spell, right? I fought your brother Fang and his was very troublesome, despite me killing him not long after he completed the transformation."

Wing's significantly consumed by rage while faintly grinding his teeth together, however, that action can't be seen too well because of his lips not being far apart. "I'll punish you for that..!" The Asian-looking male then passionately shouts with his pupils getting a bit larger, "Bestial Merging!"

Every remaining bird hovering in the sky quickly go to the section above Wing and commence circling around like a typhoon comprised of different colors as their cries escalate to the greatest extent they have managed yet.

Trace and Faulch witness the aerial animals flying in perfect synchronization with some anticipation resonating from the pair until a knowing grin works its way onto the dark-skinned Spellcaster.

Peering at the flock over him after about twenty seconds had passed, Wing abruptly detects something's amiss, which distinguishes his eagerness and determination, as he weakly utters while his pupils shrink to their normal size, "They... Aren't vanishing and becoming one with me... But I applied the spell, so-" The ninja-wannabe makes a discovery that forces him to pause his speech, deviates his attention toward his person and does a quick analysis with panic brewing. "I'm having difficulty accessing my magic!" Wing immediately snaps his concentration upon Faulch, fury replacing the panic he was recently experiencing. "This is your doing!"

Faulch nods without even trying to deny Wing's accusation and maintains his demeanor. "Were you under the assumption that I didn't know what the Wilde Family's primary spell would be? I specialize in information gathering above all else. That's why I have knowledge of things most others haven't ever contemplated."

A thoughtful look shows itself on Wing's face while recollecting the situation when Faulch placed a seal onto his back before thinking, "That was an awful error. I was too arrogant and underestimated his ability."

In the meantime, Faulch navigates his eyesight toward Trace as he gingerly says, "I hope you aren't bothered by it. You wanted to fight him alone, but I left a seal to restrict his magic at the beginning and that will prevent him from using the Bestial Merging for a while."

Trace grins understandingly. "It doesn't, really. We're in a war..." The Caucasian promptly pulls his left arm behind himself, focusing a lot of his electricity around it, and extends the limb forward while powerfully declaring, "Electro Shock!" Trace releases another electrical attack in Wing's direction with stunning agility.

Wing responds via re-utilizing his extravagant mobility that has him spiral backwards.

Following that, Trace adds to what he was saying to Faulch with not a single grain of pause and emanates overwhelming intensity, "I'm willing to take advantage of every opportunity!" The purple-haired Spellcaster's memories flicker vividly, demonstrating an image of Jace and a separate instance involving Takeru, as he gently states, "I have to if I ever hope to kill that jackass...!" Trace hastily lowers his left appendage prior to dashing ahead while bent down significantly so he can have his next spell prepared.

Then, Wing lands back upon the roof with his person toward Trace as the green-haired adult's merely a few meters behind the spot he formerly stood on while fervently commenting, "Such a high notion you must be running through your head! I may be without my Bestial Merging for the time being, however, that won't deter the course of your fate!"

As Wing finished speaking, the accumulation of birds descend to crash atop Trace while their insistent vocalizing resounds.

Trace completely ignores them due to taking into account that, if he gets distracted, he will either lose track of Wing or probably get caught off guard by an assault from his adversary and swings his right hand forward this time as he strictly yells, "Doesn't matter what you blabber out, I'm going to take you down! Buster Shock!"

Wing effortlessly contorts himself toward his right and avoids Trace's strike with his eyes continually fixed on the enemy. "I won't receive another hit, you hear?! Now, prostrate under the power God blessed me with!"

The feathery swarm instantly start bombarding Trace since they didn't suffer any hindrance from the aqua-eyed male's neglect of their advancement as some pained squawks escape from them thanks to Trace still brimming electricity. This makes the vested individual halt his movements while bearing the vast collisions his backside and head are receiving with gritted teeth as he's staring at the roof's section in front of his feet, currently torqued forward amidst his person tightening up.

Wing sneers at Trace's perseverance as he remains on the purple-haired gentleman's left until pulling his left leg backwards and launches a kick upon Trace's face. Impacting his limb's shin upon the target right after that, the Wilde Family member coldly states with his being mildly slanted back while restraining the shocking sensation travelling into him because of the contact that's present, "I ordered you to prostrate!" He then initiates a flurry of punches, chops and kicks onto Trace's head, completely pushing aside the agony that transpires each time he hits the former Trailblaze Spellcaster.

Trace deals with numerous blows, creating a sizable number of bruises on his face, while notably grimacing, but doesn't intend to let the barrages afflicting him go without consequence as an immense sum of electricity gathers atop his now jointed index finger and middle finger owned by the Caucasian's right hand that was just poised closer to his side after temporarily outstretched ahead. A couple of seconds later, during the retraction of Wing's leg to administer another kick toward the face, Trace points his right hand to the red-eyed man and energetically shouts, "Shock Bullet!"

Without any lagging, the Shock Bullet flies out from Trace's united finger tips and successfully penetrates through the center of Wing's midsection with a loud crackling sound echoing. At the same time, the green-haired opponent gawks at Trace in disbelief, having unconsciously withdrawn his appendages that he was using to inflict damage, as he gags a bit prior to straining himself to utter, "That was... Fast..."

Trace, repelling the bird-based shower due to raising his production of electricity up to a new level that easily electrocutes them all, fully confronts Wing while extending his right arm so there's barely any space between his two fingers and the pad-wearing young man with ferocity displayed. "Try telling me to prostrate again! I dare you!"

Wing keeps his mouth shut after hearing Trace's last outburst as his abdomen commences secreting blood from the recent wound he gained, not realizing that the seal on his back resurfaces solely to flicker a few times and ultimately vanishes.

Sensing that his spell has lost its effect, Faulch lightly leans forward with panic enveloping the Gate Guardian while desperately yelling, "Trace, the seal!"

Trace immediately knows what Faulch's referring, making sure not to accidentally divert his concentration from Wing, and shoots a second Shock Bullet. Unfortunately, despite how little separation existed, the little bird that had sat on top of Wing's shoulder in the past, blocks the electric bullet's path via hurriedly swooping from Trace's right and sacrifices itself for its master while being blown into bits because of the projectile's explosive force involving such a small creature. This profoundly disheartens Trace for both the fact that he missed a perfect chance to defeat Wing and purposelessly slaughtered a measly fowl.

Not wishing to allow the brief reprieve unintentionally given by Trace to slip by, Wing's pupils grow in size again before menacingly expressing, "This time it won't fail! Bestial Merging!"

Every single aerial creature elevated in the air, be it out of their own accord or having been hurled away by Trace's electricity, instantly halt whatever they're doing in a manner that makes them appear frozen to comply with Wing's demand. After that, they all hastily direct their attention onto Wing, rush to the ninja-wannabe without even attempting to assault Trace in the process and fly around him nonstop, creating a cylinder-shaped defense reminiscent of the previous typhoon formation they used.

Trace had no other option than to lower his right hand while running backwards for a bit so he wouldn't get caught up in what's happening before him, and once he's at a fair distance, scopes out the situation with caution emitted. "I guess they don't combined the same way, huh. Will he drain them of their life force like Fang did?" He aims both hands ahead, having crafted them into the shape of a guns, as determination engulfs the lad. "Whatever! I'll be stopping it anyway!" Trace simultaneously releases a pair of Shock Bullets at the feathery defense with his hands recoiling a tad, hoping they will break through and hit his adversary.

To the electricity user's disappointment, the two Shock Bullets are unable to pierce the cycling flock, but did manage killing off several birds in spite of that. Not giving up yet, Trace keeps shooting a plethora of electrical projectiles with devotion overflowing.

Faulch becomes concerned with his posture repaired as he observes Trace's onslaught and mumbles to himself, "It's not working! They're too many and their constant movement reduces the shots' strength to puncture!" The silver-eyed gentleman specifies his gaze on Trace, who still refuses to falter at how durable the bird-based typhoon is, while quite impressed as a faint smirk establishes itself. "Doesn't look like he'll be quitting any time soon though." Faulch instantaneously remembers Trace's introduction, bringing out a curious personality. "Trace of Electricity... You're definitely who we suspected you to be, but for some reason, you're here... You're here defending Velkry with your life at stake..." He vaguely grins in approval.

Some time progresses while Trace valiantly persists his firing of Shock Bullets until an abrupt expansion from the feathery encirclement occurs with multiple crashing onto the purple-haired male, forcing him to halt his barrage, and take a few steps back as he's very alarmed. Then, having put his hands down, the Caucasian notices that what actually struck him were carcasses instead of living animals, which causes his visible eye to widen as much as possible out of surprise. Afterwards, Trace veers his focus to where Wing's supposed to be located and does find the enemy, however, he's no longer in his normal form.

Wing, as the sleeves of his attire have completely been ripped off to let them take in some fresh air following their transformation into long, brown-colored wings, intently watches Trace via his presently orange/red eyes that own an enlarged black pupil in each, comparable to certain species of birds, and has stopped bleeding from his torso. Also, the Asian's body has mildly increased in size overall while his handsome face mutated to the point of gaining a pretty hefty, black beak and head that's a lot like a brown crow's with a dash of black throughout his face as his wavy, green hair was able to remain on top. Once the Bestial Merging's achieved, Wing cackles for a second prior to gradually lifting his arms, maintaining them toward opposing sides of his person, with feathers casually falling off and releases a vicious caw that hurls a gust of wind at Trace.

Trace's promptly hit by the wind, however, holds his ground with seriousness plaguing his entire being and comments, "I see you took in your animals' life force as I predicted, although it was different from your brother's. That makes me wonder... Which is more potent? Absorbing them with their whole body or not?"

Wing answers Trace's question while slowly squatting with his vision peering up. "There's honestly no contrast to Fang's method and mine in terms of which is more beneficial. In the Wilde Family, we contain individual aspects when it comes to our Animal Tamer magic like I mentioned earlier and as you may have figured during this fight's progression." The feathery man then lunges into the air and takes flight with the greatest of ease while skillfully flapping his arms to travel around appropriately.

Trace and Faulch simultaneously follow Wing's impeccable movement as neither of them are certain of what to do. This doesn't last long thanks to the aqua-eyed person deciding to take action while electricity assembles within his left hand as it continues being lowered and fervently yells, "Shock Daggers!" Five daggers materialize where the white-colored electricity's focusing before being thrown skyward by Trace with a sturdy grunt escaping him as a lot of might was put into them, making the weapons elevate hastily. Not long after, the blades ascend all the way to Wing while a split second from stabbing different parts of his body since some division transpired during their high-speed journey.

Sadly, Wing doesn't intend on allowing contact to be so easy and makes a sharp turn toward his left, effortlessly eluding the Shock Daggers that keep on soaring upward, while gazing down on Trace without detaining his flying.

Trace's persistence appears once again while creating multiple daggers inside both hands as he commences releasing a flurry of them via swinging his appendages above himself one after the other and forms a new set of bladed weapons following each throw to minimize any possible reprieve that there may be.

Wing stays calm and decisive amidst the onslaught as he swiftly maneuvers in the sky, successfully dodging all of Trace's daggers with not even a slight cut maiming him. At the same time, the transformed foe cackles, barely maintaining his vision upon Trace since he's presently upside-down, while gloatingly remarks, "Humans and Spellcasters always had a disadvantage against birds! They could never hope to reach the heavens like birds do as long as they're alive! Feeling the marvelous air and clouds on their skin! It's only with death and God's acceptance they would attain such, unless you're me! I was bless to be able to become one with birds and escalate to a height far sooner than the rest! As a matter of fact, many blasphemous Spellcasters, like yourself, and humans will NEVER experience this glory! NEVER!"

Trace sends out the last batch of daggers he created and smugly asks with his right hand outstretched ahead while poising his left hand behind himself, "Do you know what's the con of flying?"

Wing curiously cocks his head to the left without saying anything or even changing his stance.

Trace soon answers his own question as confidence takes shape with most of his extended hand curled to point the index and middle finger at Wing yet again. "Crashing."

Wing's briefly unable to fathom the context to Trace's word, however, gradually discovers that the pad-endowed male isn't merely aiming his fingers toward him and rushes to look in front with his eyes widening at the instant sight of every dagger that he avoided as they'e quickly descending onto the Animal Tamer thanks to gravity playing its usual role. In fear of getting struck, the Asian desperately tries to dodge the daggers again as Wing remains in place, but since there are so many, he's cut and stabbed by several of them despite his effort while getting very upset. "Planning something like this from the beginning, Trace! Are you a ninja like me?!"

Trace unexpectedly appears above Wing's head with the Shock Cloak Spell initiated once more so he could propel himself to that height while firmly retorting in the middle of showering daggers. "That's stupid! And even If I was, I'd be a hell lot better than you as one!" He then does a packaged front-flip as his electricity surges around his left leg, administers a downward kick upon Wing's face via that limb and intensely shouts, "Buster Shock: Leg Variation!" The electrified strike hits the desired mark, although fails to send Wing hurling for some reason, which profoundly dumbfounds Trace while repairing most of his posture with his left leg extended forward.

Wing suddenly swings his left arm toward Trace's outstretched leg, landing a powerful chop on his knee joint, and dislocates it a tad while a disgusting popping sound reverberates.

Because of that, Trace tilts his head back with his visible eye shut as he releases an agonized scream prior to being abruptly flipped backwards by Wing shoving his leg away.

Watching what's transpiring in the air, Faulch expresses his worry while eagerly wanting to do something, but holds himself back out of respect for Trace's wish to fight Wing without assistance. "Trace!"

Having gained enough space during Trace's forced back-flip, Wing hurriedly ascends higher with great speed, not caring about the continuous pouring of Shock Daggers that are either cutting or stabbing him, and talks with a determined tone as he's glaring at the sky. "What were you thinking, Trace?! Did you believe one hit would work while I'm in this form?! Was it one hit all it took to kill Fang?!" The Wilde Family member stops his escalation merely to confront Trace, who's facing away due to the back-flip while starting to fall down, as Wing promptly resumes flying, however this time toward the enemy with more speed than before, and angrily screams, "I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET THAT THOUGHT AND AVENGE MY BROTHER, EVEN AT THE COST OF MY LIFE!"

Without any time to react, Trace's backside is hit by Wing as an excruciating sensation overwhelms him while both men hastily descend with the last remaining daggers that have yet fallen to the roof's surface following them and crash through the building, resulting in it commencing to collapse.

Faulch, shielding himself from the smoke and debris made, momentarily stumbles due to the roof breaking apart until wisely running to his left so he could elude the fate Trace suffered. After that, having jumped off the crumbling building to stand on the nearby street where the civilians were contending with Wing's birds, the Velkry Spellcaster awaits to see who emerges out of the destruction that took a couple of minutes to settle.

Inside the rubble, with very little room, Trace lies on his stomach while still alive, however, appears to be unconscious as both the wounds he already owned and new ones have opened up. Also, the Shock Spellcaster's almost completely drenched in blood, isn't producing electricity throughout his person and has his right cheek pressed against the tiled floor belonging to the decayed structure.

Wing, on the other hand, has held onto his consciousness, but isn't fairing much better since he's been heavily wounded by the building's collapse in addition to the daggers that embedded themselves on the front of his torso and is sitting beside Trace's right to catch his breath as his legs are sprawled ahead. While doing so, the green-haired gentleman slowly returns to normal with his eyes dissecting Trace's condition. "Why...? Why was I... The only one... Who got injured... By your daggers...?" Wing veers his focus forward, not specifically searching for anything in that direction, as he dully sighs and slouches a little. "Well... All that's left is to kill you..." He unprecedentedly gags and then vomits blood on top of his lap with his body contorted, revealing that numerous daggers had deeply pierced his back during the crash. Not much after that, Wing keels over to his right, hits his side on the floor and lets out a single groan of dread before dying.

Trace hears that last bit of noise from Wing as the young man painstakingly opens his visible eyes, demonstrates a glazed look and weakly mutters, "To avenge my brother...? I can really sympathize with that..." The Caucasian closes his visible eye again. "But that won't make me regret being the cause of Fang's and your death. I'm a selfish hypocrite that will get his revenge unlike you..." Trace passes out while all of the daggers present dissipate into nothingness.

*Scene Change*

Sano and Yuki had wandered around Velkry for some time prior to finding themselves within the eastern district as they're facing against a plethora of Oscar's goblins, which were ruthlessly terrorizing everything there with countless civilians dead along the street. Because of this, dread overtakes Yuki as she does her best not to let any tears escape her eyes, recalling how similar the situation is when the dame mentally compares with what happened in Icela, while scanning the region and quickly realizes that the goblins are steadily closing upon the duo. In Sano's case, the black-haired teen removes Ruyi Jingu Bang from behind his neck while only holding it with his right hand and utilizes the weapon to nudge Yuki back since she's still toward his right as Sano remains looking at the green-skinned creatures. "I'm gonna' take the lead, okay? I know I can beat a lot of them if you give me about a minute alone."

Yuki turns to Sano with worry consuming her while grasping onto one of her purse's straps via both hands. "Are you sure about that, Sano?!" The princess glances to the right due to that being the horde of goblins' location. "There are so many!"

Sano veers his sight onto Yuki and confidently nods. "Yeah! You can even count, and once a minute's up, you're welcome to jump in!" The half-breed resets his attention to the goblins. "I just wanna' make sure you won't get swarmed by them, so that's why I'd like to do that first!"

Yuki profusely blushes, blinking a few times in a dumbfounded way, while stuttering out, "R-Really?!"

Without verbally replying to Yuki's inquiry, Sano sharply nods and sprints forth as a tenacious smile appears. Soon enough, the golden-eyed lad begins battling the giant accumulation of goblins, striking each one either with Ruyi Jingu Bang after elegantly twirling it or by implementing various types of kicks. Among those kicks, some used the tanned gentleman's staff for support, elevating him while switching his grip on Ruyi Jingu Bang, as this permits numerous spinning strikes and split kicks without letting go of his weapon.

As a result, the goblins are deflected with a good amount dropping to the ground while others crash against the surrounding buildings.

Yuki gently counts to herself, obviously amazed by how easy Sano's making things look while having ceased blushing, and then focuses on the sandals she gave him as she murmurs, "I can't believe he can move like that even when he's wearing those. It's simply incredible." Embarrassment rapidly takes control of her and fearfully exclaims, "Darn! I lost count!" Yuki releases both hand's hold on her purse's strap to position them in front of her chest as she specifically looks at her fingers and contemplates out loud while trying to calm down. "I think it's been like thirty seconds. Maybe forty at the very most." She draws her concentration back to Sano, noting the fact that none of the goblins have made it too far pass him to go after her since he cuts them off before they even get the idea, while the pink-haired girl blushes again with both hands lowered and clasped together.

Meanwhile, during Yuki's observation of Sano contending with Oscar's goblins, an unknown man gradually walks up behind the blue-eyed adolescent while dress in a navy blue priest outfit and carrying six swords on his person. Once he's in striking distance, the male hurriedly unsheathes one of his katana-like weapons stationed to his left side via the hand belonging to that section and poises it above his head.

Faintly hearing the sound of metal scrapping against something, Yuki parts her hands while retaining them downward and turns her head to the left to investigate what made that noise with a confused look. Horror then entraps the corset-endowed chick as she releases a fragile gasp after discovering her precarious circumstance.

It's at that moment the sword-wielder's fully revealed to be one of the Grand Elder's elites as his azure eyes light up from glee with his aqua-colored hair continuing to be unkempt and arrogantly says, "Such a wonderful expression! That's a face I'd love to cut in half!" He immediately drives his sword down in the attempt to do exactly as he just uttered.

Yuki's rendered speechless and is totally scared stiff as she watches the blade starting to descend with frightening speed.

Fortunately, the sword's trajectory is halted by the sudden appearance of a horizontal Ruyi Jingu Bang located above Yuki's head with contact transgressing between the two weapons. Right after that, Sano's demonstrated to be standing less than a meter in front of Yuki, having both hands elevated and tightly gripping near opposite ends of Ruyi Jingu Bang to make sure that his staff keeps the sword at bay, with enthusiasm evident on the jacket-wearing boy's person. "Hey, I'm Sano Goken! Who are you?!"

Yuki hastily veers her focus to Sano while baffled at how fast he came to her rescue and continues being unable to speak.

Even though he's a tad irritated by Sano's interference, the aqua-haired foe smirks in a cocky manner without refraining the pressure he's making his sword apply onto Ruyi Jingu Bang. "The name's Ansol Short! I'm one of the Grand Elder's elite Spellcasters and the most renown in the Saints Organization since I managed such an honor while still only being a Class A Plus Spellcaster!"

Sano raises his right eyebrow as he seems not to be having any trouble in keeping his ground, despite the force Ansol's instilling upon the orange staff is causing the spiky-haired young man's feet to burrow into the street's terrain, with skepticism radiating. "Wouldn't that make you the weakest then? No offense."

Ansol gives Sano an agitated scowl and rebuttals while doing all he can to sustain his ego. "It's cool. That's a common misconception I get. I'll merely prove your assumption wrong with my blades." He grabs onto the middle sword mounted on his right hip via a reverse grip involving his right hand as the Caucasian attempts a quick-draw slash aimed toward both Sano and Yuki's side.

Excitement overwhelms Sano's being with his eyes glimmering immensely. "I hope so!" The jacketed lad swiftly diverts his left hand from Ruyi Jingu Bang to catch Yuki's right wrist, tugs her out of the way and blots the attacking sword by lifting his right foot toward it. This concluded with a remarkably simple collision between the two of them that barely dented Sano's sandal as a stand-off soon transpires.

Concurrently, Yuki stands toward Sano's left, no longer having her wrist under the golden-eyed boy's grasp, as she's facing him and Ansol with her eyes glued on their recent deadlock, although the previous one concerning their weapons has yet to be extinguished.

Ansol's cocky attitude comes back while staring into Sano's eyes. "You're one crazy son of a bitch! Had I even used a gram of my Cutting Magic, your leg would've split without resistance! There's nothing I can't cut!"

Sano chuckles as he doesn't falter whatsoever, despite the stance he's presently in. "What are you waiting for?! An invitation?! I wanna' see that!"

Ansol's left eye twitches and puts an astonishing sum of strength with aqua-colored magic engulfing the two swords' blade after passionately shouting, "Fine, you ask for it!"

Sano admires Ansol's willingness to comply with the tanned teen's desire before adopting the opponent's force into his own momentum so he could leap off the terrain thanks to utilizing Ansol's right sword as a leg up. After doing that, the black-haired gentleman pushes aside the sword Ruyi Jingu Bang's dealing with, complements of his ascension making it difficult for any defiance from Ansol, and launches a windmill kick via his left foot while successfully landing the strike upon the elite's forehead.

Ansol stumbles backwards with his eyes shut and grimaces a bit prior to planting his right hand on top of his face to caress it as the other appendage has been dropped without either one letting go of his swords.

While that happened, Yuki hurriedly backs away to avoid accidentally getting hit by Sano's stupendous maneuvering as she's clenching at her purse's strap once more with both hands.

Less than a second later, Sano spins around in midair until planting his feet upon the ground, briefly twirls Ruyi Jingu Bang on his right side and then straightens his posture due to being bent forth when he landed while resting an end of the orange staff next to his right foot. Following that, the staff-wielder glances ahead since he's facing toward Ansol's direction, however, instantly changes his attention to look at Yuki out of the corner of his eyes with his head mildly turned and kindly questions, "You good?"

Yuki momentarily hesitates after drawing her focus onto Sano and nods shyly. "Yes, thank you for asking."

Sano contentedly smiles, dismounting Ruyi Jingu Bang from the street's surface. "I'm glad." He deviates his vision toward the area behind Yuki via adjusting his position so he can stand sideways, which resulted in him now facing the pink-haired female, as he nonchalantly requests, "You think you can handle the leftovers?"

Yuki slowly navigates her gaze toward what Sano's referring to and promptly sees that there are still a fair amount of goblins nearby, although their quantity has been reduced considerably because of the short instance her friend fought them.

Sano exhibits a sad demeanor with his eyes remaining locked on the goblins. "I had five more seconds to enjoy doing clean up, but when a guy's priority is in danger... Well, screw everything else." The spiky-haired young man lightly laughs.

Yuki snaps her head to Sano as she's profoundly bewildered and flustered with a hint of redness gathering at her face. "What's that supposed to mean?!" Her face's color rapidly returns to normal while a distraught expression takes over due to noticing something and frantically yells, "Sano!"

Sano's eyebrows faintly elevate before lackadaisically checking the reason for Yuki's abrupt outburst and discovers that Ansol has taken a peculiar stance.

Ansol, having hoisted his left hand skyward again while his right hand's extended horizontally, fiercely declares with hatred resonating in his eyes, "Crucifying Air Slicer!" The priest-wannabe swings both weapons forward as he sends out a cross-shaped cut at Sano that tears through the street and splits in half all the buildings on opposite sides of its path while creating a mighty wind.

Sano examines the oncoming spell with no real difference to his behavior as he keeps standing sideways.

Ansol snobbishly grins in the middle of watching his attack hurl toward Sano via a contorted composition because of how much effort he implemented into it and gingerly utters, "Here's what you wanted, Sano. Have your fill and be cut to ribbons."

Just when those words were spoken by his enemy, Sano raises his right hand toward the advancing cross-shaped slash while continuing to have possession of Ruyi Jingu Bang within that appendage and makes the orange weapon rotate rapidly as it now resembles a fan propeller. Following that, the two collide with an incredible disperse of air fluctuating, causing Sano to be pushed back a tad and is obviously delighted that Ansol's spell had impressive strength. Eventually though, the adversary's assault upon Sano slowly fades due to not having the sufficient power to overcome Ruyi Jingu Bang's fast spinning.

Shock floods Ansol's person as the Saints Organization member separates his arms since they were temporally interlock, stations them next to himself and stands upright while exclaiming in dismay, "Impossible! How did you do that?!"

Sano's expression becomes bland after Ansol's spell completely vanished and halts his staff's movement while putting his right hand down. "I'm not good at explaining how I do things, so I can't give you a full answer. The best I can give is that I used an active force to counter yours." The jacket-wearing lad smiles apologetically. "Sorry if that's not enough for you. It makes sense to me." Sano diverts his attention from Ansol to Yuki with appreciation replacing his former attitude. "Thanks for the heads up, Yuki. I owe you one."

Yuki timidly nods, having loosened her hold on the blue purse's strap that remains on her right shoulder. "Not even. You saved me first, remember? I only did what was natural." The pink-haired beauty then displays a stern personality prior to taking her purse off and gently rests it on the street with her vision briefly pursuing the object's placement. Once that's accomplished, Yuki summons the Ice Wand inside of her right hand as she turns to confront the goblins, who had been busy trying to rally together because of them already figuring out that they will need their collective force if the green-skinned creatures intend on achieving retribution for their kind that fell at Sano's hand. "Now, you focus on that guy and I'll do my part over here."

Sano cheerfully grins while sustaining his sight onto Yuki. "Gotcha'! I might end up leaving you alone though, so be careful and good luck!"

Despite feeling a bit uncertain due to Sano's statement, Yuki perseveres through it without removing her gaze from the large group of goblins and sharply nods. "Okay, I'll do my best!" The Ice Spellcaster dashes forth to give Sano more room to do whatever he's concocting in his head.

Sano halfheartedly chuckles as he lazily mutters, "That's great 'cause..." The black-haired individual shifts his attention back to Ansol, who's brimming an enormous quantity of magic with intensity mixed in, while continuing what he was saying softly. "Ansol over there is getting real serious. I'll probably have to make this bout finish quick or it'll be Wukong all over again." An exasperated sigh escapes his lips with his eyes momentarily closed, however, manages to keep an optimistic demeanor as he relocates his eyesight onto Ansol.

Ansol, fueled by the rage dwelling inside, pulls both arms toward his right while having them parallel to each other. "I swear to God that I'll send you to oblivion! Teleport!" The sword-user disappears from where he stood in a blink of an eye with no sign of where he went.

Sano isn't taken aback though as he simply commandeers Ruyi Jingu Bang forward while including his left hand's grasp onto its lower half to position the staff vertically. In that exact instance the spiky-haired boy did that, an extraordinary shock-wave fluctuates due to contact happening between Ruyi Jingu Bang and two blades, which abruptly swung from Sano's upper left, with the surrounding buildings buckling as some cracks are etched on their walls.

Feeling the mighty quake, Yuki wishes to glance over toward Sano's location from roughly ten meters away, however, halts because of the goblins trying to swarm her and reverberates a battle-cry before initiating her Frozen Shard Flurry at the club-wielding creatures, keeping in mind that her friend can take care of himself.

At the same time, the outstanding vibration manages to push Sano back a decent distance with his feet dragging through the street's terrain, leaving skid marks, while the half-breed gives off an impressed scoff. "Man, I got to give you props. I was told that, as a rule of the Teleportation Spell, a Spellcaster needed to aim their hands at what they want to teleport if it's human-sized or bigger, but I guess that's not the case with you. Another reason you're an elite, huh?"

Ansol grits his teeth with frustration building since his attack barely did anything to be happy about while struggling to penetrate Sano's defense as the shock-wave simmers down. "You bet! And just wait until I go sextuple on you!" The priest-wannabe dismounts his swords, reaching for the bottom sword attached to his right hip via his index and middle fingers belonging to the same side, as he draws it out with amazing agility so he could toss the weapon into the air. "But you have to first survive triple!" Ansol speedily starts swinging his swords at Sano from different angles while transmitting hostility.

Sano ducks and weaves appropriately to make most of Ansol's attempts on him miss with Ruyi Jingu Bang being used to block the rest by swapping his hold between hands while doing minor rotations involving the staff as their collisions spawn loud banging sounds.

In the meantime, the third sword that was elevated is shown descending onto Ansol as he caught the blade's handle once it was about to strike his head without looking via his right hand while the two weapons now held within that appendage link together, becoming a double bladed sword.

Moderately surprised at what he just saw, Sano comments while continually deflecting the left sword's barrage with only his right hand wielding Ruyi Jingu Bang and has his eyes locked on Ansol, "Never seen that before. Of course, my knowledge about stuff's limited to the things my dad taught me."

Ansol ignores Sano's unimportant chatter and retracts his left sword to have the double bladed weapon take the lead in the hail of attacks set upon Sano while getting angrier with each passing moment.

Sano immediately understands the level of how pissed off Ansol is, not really displaying any sympathy for his adversary though, as the golden-eyed gentleman switches his method of blocking to utilized both hands again so he could easily counter every swing.

Ansol suddenly connects the left sword's hilt against one of his other katana-like weapons' handle stationed on his left hip, linking them as well, and swiftly unsheathes it while including the recently created double sword into the plethora. "Time for quadruple!"

Sano perfectly acts on the new addition via stepping backwards to create some space prior to maneuvering Ruyi Jingu Bang behind himself, having positioned it horizontally as both of his hands keep their individual grip on the jacket-wearing teen. Then, right when Ansol tried to overextend his arms so his blades could get to Sano's abdomen since an opening has emerged, the black-haired lad instantly spins like a top in a clockwise motion and harshly repels the opponent backwards.

Ansol regains his bearings after a separation of five meters transpired and gawks at Sano in disbelief while thinking with his arms slightly raised to his sides, "This guy...! He's unreal!"

Sano ceases his rapid turning, exhibiting a laid-back attitude as he faces toward Ansol, and confidently smirks. "You mentioned that your magic could cut through anything." He peers at the right end of Ruyi Jingu Bang with his eye cocked a tad. "Ruyi's still in one piece."

Ansol, feeling as though he's being mocked, navigates both arms backwards with fury pumping while leaning ahead and fervently screams, "I WILL CUT YOU WITHOUT FAIL!" The enraged individual promptly swings his hands forward, throwing the double bladed swords in unison, while they spiral amidst the air with superb agility.

Sano's character stays the same thanks to abruptly figuring out the attacks trajectory while firmly commanding with his vision maintained on the advancing weapons, "Duck, Yuki!" The tanned young man sidesteps the assault by bringing his right foot backwards and goes through the minuscule gap in the middle of the two swords.

Right after that, Yuki temporarily hesitates due to hearing Sano's unexpected order as she was continuing to deal with Oscar's goblins, but ultimately does what she was told without diverting her concentration while mounting both hands atop her head, not losing her grip on the Ice Wand whatsoever, and shutting her eyes. Fortunately, the fair-skinned dame ducked in the nick of time since the double bladed swords had yet stopped their aerial travel and effortlessly slice through a bunch of goblins until finally crashing to the ground.

Then, being an opportunist, Ansol teleports toward Sano's left because of the fact that the enemy continued to be standing sideways with his last two swords unsheathed and lifted over his head via both hands while shouting viciously, "Skipping over to sextuple to kill you! Die, Sano!" The aqua-haired man begins swinging the swords downward.

Sano hurriedly reacts with his person confronting Ansol, only long enough to fall backwards, and nonchalantly removes his feet from the street so he could roll onto his back without letting go of Ruyi Jingu Bang. "I don't think that's what you originally meant that as, and if it is, I gotta' say... Disappointing." The half-breed chuckles as he thrusts both feet onto Ansol's midsection with so much might that it cuts off his attempt and is rapidly sent skyward.

Ansol's completely stunned, losing possession of his swords in the meantime while they fall flat behind him, as he has no control of his body's fast elevation with massive pain enveloping his being.

Sano, not wanting to stop there, does a kick-up to get back on his feet and then steers both hands above his head while sustaining Ruyi Jingu Bang in their clutches. Not even a second later, the sandal-wearing person momentarily runs forward before doing several cartwheels and handsprings until arriving at a substantial distance from where he once stood. Afterwards, Sano halts there for a brief instance with his attention zoomed on Ansol, who recently commenced falling while unintentionally facing toward the spiky-haired male's direction, as he bends his knees and straps the orange staff to his back again via his right hand. "This should be enough." He then sprints ahead with brilliant velocity, jumps high into the air after a few seconds of gaining on the spot Ansol's supposed to crash and drives a spectacular, right-footed, flying kick straight to the Spellcaster's face as his momentum causes both of them to soar through the sky like a shooting star.

As Sano and Ansol effortlessly bypass over the princess, Yuki watches in amazement what transpired, standing upright with both hands remaining on her head, while the goblins do exactly the same thing.
