Episode 41: Love-Hate Relation

*Starting Scene*

Ten minutes before what seemed to be the conclusion of Ilya and Yuki's battle with Toad, Dante swiftly travels up the metallic steps wrapped around the room he had been fighting Saints Organization affiliates, which he continues to do so as more and more masked, priest wannabes charge at the blonde from ahead of him. Utilizing the great speed his Accelerators provide, the hoodie-wearing young man doesn't allow his foes to even bring out their magical ability, easily parrying them to the wall towards his right via sufficient strength to render those unconscious or maliciously throwing many over the steps' ledge with fast maneuvering that can't really be seen while they helplessly fall to their doom.

As he does that, Dante demonstrates no emotion at all, paying enough attention to cut off the flow of each enemy near him, and commences mentally reminiscing about his journey up the metal path he's currently on. "So far, I've come across seven rooms, including the one with that big window, since I started going up this stairway. First, I saw a room that was literally almost like a pond. " His mind displays the image of a dark pool of water located inside a room much like the last one he entered and had confronted a grand quantity of Spellcasters. There are multiple leaf petals that could individually and effortlessly carry a person floating on the water's surface with a small section of cement-based land stationed toward the opposite side from where the wooden doorway Dante stood at during his observation of the room. Following the image of that area, another mental picture replaces it while exhibiting a feminine room due it containing flower designs everywhere with numerous, scratched-up, brown furniture positioned everywhere and a gigantic, green rug covering the floor as Dante's standing near the same kind of entrance again. "Second was that sorta' girly room, although I have this odd feeling I would've really enjoyed relaxing there if I could spare the time."

Momentarily ceasing his thought process and high-speed movement, the Caucasian gentleman grabs onto a Saints Organization personnel's neck via his left hand, instantaneously beginning to strangle the adversary, while nonchalantly lifting him off the steps. Once that happens, Dante resumes thinking with his arm outstretched, watching the masked man in his grip struggle to escape, while the green-eyed human's slowly surrounded by the other priest wannabes as they're all poised at the room's right. "Then came that desert-like room with the hyenas and the Spellcaster sleeping on a pile of them." He recalls that exact vicinity he mentioned, a sandy terrain making up its general composition with Fang lying his back atop all seven hyenas that are presently gathered together while quietly breathing during his passive slumber. At the same time, it's notable that the hyenas have taken account of Dante's arrival, however instead of making even the slightest of effort to ward off the invader, they unprecedentedly commence quivering in fear while amazingly not disturbing Fang's sleep as he slightly moves to be more comfortable. This leads to Dante to shrug the entire meeting off without uttering a word and left the room to continue his rampage outside.

Having finished that recollection, Dante ruthlessly tosses the masked individual he was holding without any care and soon crashes upon those who remain blocking his path, causing them to fall backwards. After doing that, the blonde steers his left hand to position it close to his side while mildly raised, balls the appendage into a fist and thinks, "I eventually saw three more rooms, each having a way that perfectly suited a certain type of animal. No one was there though, so I brushed them off... Is what I want to say, but the last one I checked out was really impressive. It was a huge room that I believe was structured for a monster. The reason why is..." Dante promptly remembers a ginormous area of space with no type of furniture as the room was comprised of a terrorized landscape that appeared to have been bashed into by some sort of behemoth based on the scarred, metallic floors and almost completely destroyed walls, which are made of the same material. While going through that memory, the hoodie-endowed person vocally completes his sentence, not able to restrain the excitement he felt at that instance, while striking the flat surface of the stairs beneath him with his left fist. "I could sense his unwavering blood lust!"

With contact made, the entire flight of steps uncontrollably shakes as if a powerful tremor had just transpired, forcing many of Dante's enemies near the stairs' edge to fall while those behind the lost their balance and started rolling down the path. Concurrently, the Saints Organization affiliates close to the wall valiantly try to stay on their feet as they're fairly consumed by horror.

Not long after, Dante calmly adds to his previous statement with his posture bent down, his legs decently parted from each other to assist the long-sleeved male so he can maintain his current stance, as Dante's right thumb is hooked inside his pocket and eyes are glued on the stairs, "And that's incredible considering I'm sure he isn't even here. I'll have to be really careful if I face him in this state sometime soon."

The fierce trembling comes to a halt after a while, permitting the survival of a small sum of look alike Spellcasters as they gradually compose themselves and then cautiously contemplate in their mind about advancing toward Dante.

Dante pulls his clenched hand away from the metal to properly repair his posture before the excitement he was experiencing fully fades and gazes at the masked men toward his right with a hint of intimidation. "Out of morbid curiosity, how many rooms are left?" He veers his concentration to the ceiling above by lightly slanting himself to the left since there's stairs blotting his view as it isn't too far from his present location. "I'm pretty sure I'm almost done with my search, and if no one's up there, I'll have to backtrack to get the answers I want." Dante reverts his focus onto the Saints Organization members while resetting his composure as he says in a sweet manner, "So please be nice and tell me. Do that and I'll let you all live for now." The glove-wearing lad sincerely smiles at the priest wannabes.

The Saints Organization affiliates choose not to rebuttal, wanting to maintain their pride at least because of them keying on the "For now" part Dante recently stated and totally understanding that they will end up dead no matter what.

Dante weakly chuckles with his head tilted back as his eyes become vacant. "You guys are seriously courageous. I like that. I just wish you had picked a better side." The Sealing Glove suddenly shines without Dante removing his thumb from the pocket it's submerged prior to a seal emitting a dark glow on each of the remaining opponents' body.

Not even a second later, the look alikes let out a strained groan while their legs buckle and soon fall down via a blunt thud.

Afterwards, Dante keeps on his way up the flight of stairs, and just when those who were lying on the steps ahead began to rise, a seal forms brightly on them as the Latin etching subdued every single one of them in less than a second with the blonde casually mentioning, "Guess you guys didn't notice that I placed a seal on you already. That's typical considering I went faster than the speed of sound." He walks pass the downed men, idly swinging his left arm around, and comments with his vision forward, "It's sad that your courage amounts to practically nothing though. After all, as things progress, my bond with these gloves and shoes grow stronger. Eventually, I'll reach a point where the me as I am now will give way to another me. A me that will be decided on a certain factor." The hoodie-endowed male chuckles again, exhibiting a detached personality. "I honestly hope it doesn't turn out badly. Killing everyone would be very annoying, but possible nonetheless."

Following that statement, the Caucasian persists his travel atop the stairway until arriving at an enormous, wooden, double door as he's on the right side of the room once more and is facing the structure without a care in the world since he already disposed of all the obstacles trying to thwart his progression. A moment later, Dante glances to his left, sees that the path immediately ends a couple of meters ahead and leisurely mutters after returning his attention to the door, "It's just like they had thought. One more door." The green-eyed person grins while finally taking his thumb out of his pocket. "Had they know that I heard their thoughts despite giving me the silent treatment, they would've reconsidered their decision." Dante meagerly shrugs. "Either way, I can't help respecting them a little."

Then, out of nowhere, a masculine, right fist with bulging veins protruding from the entire tan-skinned arm belonging to that hand hits the back of Dante's head with so much force that it promptly sends him, face first, straight through the wooden door, instantly making the large structure break into pieces while flying off in different directions. This causes the blonde-haired young adult to enter a grand room completely comprised of a metal alloyed similar to the last one he remembered and repeatedly collides with the metallic floor while continuing to uncontrollably move through the air until positioning his feet below himself, harshly plants them upon the terrain and skids across the new setting in a contorted posture as his back's toward the way he unwillingly came in.

After doing that for a few seconds, Dante manages to halt himself with his head briefly lowered and then hastily raises his head, revealing a minimally scuffed face even though it was intensely rammed through a door, as a look of bewilderment rapidly envelops the gloved individual. The reason for that isn't too much because of Dante being abruptly hurled into the room, but due to the fact that there's a gigantic water tank dividing a sizable section of what's merely a meter onward from him as he's witnessing three, adult, killer whales nonchalantly swimming within it. Once he completely absorbs what's in front of him, the green-eyed human cocks his head to the left after standing upright and stares at the transparent glass while remarking in a somewhat awestruck tone, "You don't see that everyday."

Unexpectedly, the sound of a heavy, metal contraption reverberates far behind Dante while complemented by a fast sliding noise until creating a spine-tingling bang. Moderately startled, the long-sleeved person snaps his head to the left to investigate what was the source of the sound and barely gets a glimpse of it, which was a metallic door perfectly replacing the destroyed, wooden doorway via a downward shutting motion with wood-based debris lying nearby, thanks to his peripheral vision before being abruptly greeted by another, right-handed attack, however, aimed at his face this time with impeccable speed. In response, Dante confronts the oncoming striker, swiftly lifts his hands forth to separately place each one on the currently blurred foe's shoulders within a split second and uses the extreme momentum applied from his new adversary to run backwards up against the immense tank that's now behind him. Immediately after, the hoodie-wearing gentleman pushes his feet off the glass he temporarily traversed, vaults himself over the attacker's head, flies off his enemy's shoulders via a mighty impulse from both hands and successfully lands a bit over four meters away with his back to the tanned man who attempted to hit him.

In the meantime, the assailant chose not to detain his strike and powerfully punches the glass before him, causing an instantaneous surge of cracks to be displayed all over its surface with a deafening, screeching sound resonating. While that occurs, it can be seen that the masculine individual stands just a bit taller than Dante as his arms are the only part of his body that's excessively muscular while the rest is properly toned for one of his apparent age, which would be somewhere near his late 20s. In addition, he's dressed in a haori coat like Fang, however, his is green instead of brown while fastened by a single strap that the clothing contains to make up for the fact he isn't wearing an undershirt, has black jeans, a pair of green getas keeping him from being barefooted and also has an overall Asian appearance.

Soon enough, with water starting to seep through the gradual openings on the huge water tank, the haori-wearing person turns toward his left to stand sideways without removing his fist from the area he hit, showing an indifferent expression as his sleek, green hair that extends to the midpoint of his shoulder blades flow in accordance to the man's sharp movement while the bangs mostly mask his forehead do the same thing, and emptily says once his red eyes lock onto Dante's back, "You had me worry there. For someone to have the nerve to infiltrate one of the Saints Organization's headquarters, I would have been fuming mad if your mobility was inferior to my normal agility."

Dante slants himself to the right after having folded his arms together, scanning the region he presently resides with just his eyes zigzagging around, as he halfheartedly smirks while lackadaisically retorting, "Well, I'm usually good at dodging sneak attacks. After all, it wasn't as if you went at a speed I've never faced previously." The wavy-haired young man commandeers his body to properly make eye contact with the enemy following a fixing of his poise and loses his smirk prior to solemnly stating, "I simply didn't sense or even HEAR you behind me. That's all." Dante briefly shuts his eyes while deeply sighing until looking at the red-eyed male again. "So, you were a part of the Saints Organization five years ago, am I right? Obviously, that includes your whole family, but you're probably the only one here at the moment who could answer some very important questions I have. Would you be so kind in doing so?"

The tan-skinned Spellcaster's demeanor doesn't change with his eyes narrowing a tad while the loud noise of rushing water begins drowning the metallic room. "I do not believe the tank will allow sufficient reprieve to answer even one of your questions. It's now lunchtime for my whales and I am not the type of being that would selfishly put-off feeding his pets. Only scum would do such an atrocious act."

Abruptly, the giant, glass tank can't maintain its strong stature any longer and shatters as a vast collection of water quickly commences flooding the metal terrain, effortlessly swallowing the green-haired Saints Organization member. Having both heard his opponent's words and seeing the massive wave head towards him, Dante unfolds his arms to position them on opposite sides of his person so he can brace himself for the impending impact that will occur no matter what, displaying great tenacity, while fervently declaring with both hands clenched, "I'll just have to deal with them first! No problem!" He's immediately hit by the outstanding sum of water after finishing that sentence and isn't in clear view within an instant.

*Scene Change*

The battle-scarred room where Ilya and Yuki fought makes another appearance, time having reversed roughly eight minutes, as both dames had landed back onto the damaged floor with no trouble while taking several moments to observe the accumulated smoke hovering close to the ceiling Toad was impaled. Not long after, the pair switch their focus to the former pathway that was shut while acknowledging it still being blocked by the brick wall as Ilya says in a slightly aggravated tone with her gold staff resting against her right shoulder thanks to the assistance of the hand belonging to the same side continuing its grasp on it, "Darn! We forgot to make him open up the path!"

Yuki turns toward Ilya, both hands lowered to opposing sides of herself as the Ice Wand's held in her right hand, while staying at her companion's left and exhibits minor curiosity. "Couldn't we merely break through it with a spell?"

Ilya's suddenly stunned after hearing Yuki's inquiry without deviating her attention from the wall as he jaw dropped a bit and then mumbles out of pure exasperation while overtook by a dull look, "I feel stupid..."

Yuki firmly nods before bluntly stating with the Ice Wand vanishing since the young Spellcaster believes it's safe to put it away for the time being, "You most definitely are."

Ilya right eye twitches while gritting her teeth a tad until the white-haired girl directs her gaze upon Yuki with seriousness brimming and sarcastically rebuttals. "Thanks a lot." She hurriedly calms down prior to a smug composition arising while smiling with her head cocked backwards a little. "By the way, you called me by my name and not only once either. What's up with that? Is that your way of showing me you actually care?" Ilya proudly giggles.

Yuki's eyes widen from shock as she lightly blushes and yells frantically, "What?!" The blue-eyed adolescent closes her eyes to shake her head with her posture momentarily bent forward. "No way!" Yuki promptly returns her concentration to Ilya while speaking in a defensive tone. "I got caught up in the moment and kept forgetting to refer you by Miss Know-It-All! Nothing else!" She plants both hands on her hips, puffs up her cheeks and snaps her head to the left to avoid Ilya's eyes. "Hmph! I could really care less if your life's in danger." The pink-haired princess stops puffing her cheeks while no longer blushing as she remarks somewhat happily, "Heck, with you gone, Dante will be free of any unwanted distractions and will devote himself to me!" Yuki gives Ilya a disappointed glare. "Please die for my sake, Miss Know-It-All."

Ilya gestures her left hand near the height of her head, having positioned it upright, with anger establishing itself on her face. "Like I would, especially how you look amidst saying that! You didn't even try to pretend to feel anything other than disappointment!"

Toad's voice unexpectedly resounds from above Ilya and Yuki as a small amount of annoyance can be heard out of him. "You want to talk about disappointment? Alright, allow me the honor to vent mine through physical actions, would you?"

Ilya and Yuki are hastily engulfed by overwhelming panic while simultaneously gasping prior to looking up again so they can verify what they heard wasn't a figment of their imagination.

Right after that, Toad becomes visible due to the clearing of the smoke, permitting the burns and heavy wounds on his body to be seen, as he regained his frog-like stance on the ceiling's surface because of his webbed hands' stickiness and creepily examines his enemies in the same manner a frog would while currently upside-down. Then, the jukata-wearing male leaps off the ceiling and descends toward the two teens, flipping numerous times forward to build momentum, while intending to use himself as a weapon once again.

Ilya, fast in reacting to Toad's advancement, removes the gold staff from her shoulder to points it skyward via both hands and passionately shouts, "Burst!" The hazel-eyed beauty releases a blast of energy at the oncoming foe as the two forces collide in a matter of seconds.

Surprisingly though, Toad isn't derailed or even forced back an inch while relentlessly persisting his extreme rotation as a stand-off between himself and Ilya's spell transpires for quite some time.

During that, Ilya receives an immense quantity of pressure onto her person, almost like she's losing control of her blast, and valiantly struggles to keep on going with her eyes set forth as she thinks, "This is bad! He's not simply persevering! He's conquering it! I can't hold on much more!" The accessory-endowed chick suddenly recalls something before shifting her gaze to her left, witnesses that Yuki's watching her from the same spot the petite princess has been for the past couple of minutes and gets very worried. This sadly forces Ilya to unconsciously let Toad breach through the blast due to her minuscule lack of focus on holding him at bay.

Toad, unaware of why he's now able to resume his advancement, rapidly bridges the gap with Ilya's attack dispersing and is mere moments from crashing upon both adversaries.

Ilya glances back at Toad's direction as distress overflows her, however, swiftly puts that aside while unprecedentedly abandoning the gold staff, resulting in its two gold rings that hover around the weapon's blue gem to vanish. This is so she can navigate both hands toward Yuki after lunging at her and shoves the corset-wearing teenager away with a firm grunt escaping her lips.

Yuki's baffled by Ilya's haphazard action while sent backwards and tries to reach out to the hazel-eyed individual via her left hand as she fearfully screams out, "Ilya!"

Ilya happily smiles at Yuki with her eyes glimmering and kindly says, "See? You do care."

Yuki becomes speechless as she watches Ilya briefly floating in front of her until the Velkry Spellcaster got hit from behind by the continually flipping Toad and is fiercely slammed onto the floor, making a shock-wave sweep the complete area while a lot of smoke explodes throughout because of the mighty impact that occurred. This results in Yuki being pushed further back thanks to the shock-wave, although manages to drop her feet upon the battle-worn terrain about six meters from where Ilya was struck, stumbles a bit since her blue boots still are transformed into the Frozen Skates with her head down and then gains sufficient stability to revert her attention forth while drenched by concern. She instantly sees the smoke spread around the room while the shock-wave that had been released already gone without doing any additional damage to the walls, joins both hands together prior to stationing them above the center of her chest and whimpers in a stressed manner, "No... Please, don't be... I didn't actually mean it..."

With what seemed like an eternity to transpire for Yuki, the smoke disappears into nothing while displaying an almost naked Toad since his attire didn't fair as well as he could against Ilya's Burst Spell, saved the boxers he fortunately was wearing underneath his outfit, and came out of that last confrontation not injured much more than he already was. This is because of the slimy secretion Toad had been emanating from his person following the casting of his Bestial Merging Spell, combined with the constant rotation of his attack, protecting him from the burning quality of the previous gold blast as the Animal Tamer's crouched atop Ilya's back, who's right cheek is currently pressed against the demolished floor due to a horrendously-bruised Ilya lying on her stomach in an unconscious state, while absently facing toward the main entrance.

Having gotten a look at Ilya's condition and circumstance, Yuki gasps with both hands trembling while still over her chest.

Toad slightly hears Yuki , creating some curiosity to take form, as he peers to his right and excitedly grins once he locks eyes with the pink-haired dame. "Oh, there you are!" The Wilde Family member suddenly hops to situate himself so he can fully confront Yuki, not caring at all that Ilya's below him, and gently croaks before tauntingly commenting, "I thought you mysteriously vanished. That would've been an interesting trick, but all you did was avoid me and sacrificed your friend here." He tapped his right foot on Ilya's motionless body while finishing that remark and then faintly laughs. "You're also an opportunist."

Anger starts to resonate within Yuki's eyes while intently glaring at Toad as several of her fingers dig into her chest and utters in a moderately devastated tone, "No, I'm not! I'm alright solely because she pushed me out of the way!" She lowers her head, recollecting the handful of instances that she's been in dire straits, and commences sobbing with her vision on the floor. "I keep getting saved!"

A chilling air abruptly courses throughout the entire room and causes Toad to momentarily shiver as he checks his surroundings with a hint of worry shaping while softly asking himself, "What the...?"

Then, Yuki continues talking with a surge of cold wind quickly circling around her. "Never in a million years would I think that Miss Know-It-All would go out of her way to protect me! Even after what I said about dying for me so I could have Dante to myself!" Tears promptly pour down the blue-eyed teen's face and shakes her head without lifting it. "Why?! Why am I such a burden?! Why can't I..." Her voice cracks up, forcing Yuki to leave that last inquiry to herself incomplete while slumping a tad.

Toad sneers while resetting his concentration on Yuki and tilts his head to the right. "Don't be so fed-up with yourself. It's not like there were any realistic expectations of you beating me from the beginning. As a matter of fact, I'm positive that's what your blonde-haired friend predicted to happen and knew all you could do was buy time." He scoffs prior to diverting his attention toward the blotted pathway, having repaired his head's composition. "That opportunistic bastard truly did lie to me like I thought." Toad demonstrates a meager sum of suspicion on his being after remembering something. "However, now that I take another moment to think about him, I feel like he did me an enormous favor in a strange sort of way. I'm literally tied with Kitten and Fang when it comes to our magical prowess, but I don't know. Something was just off when we met. I guess my animal instincts are finally kicking in like-"

Yuki interrupts Toad as a little of Yui's voice is presently mixed in with hers and speaks in a commanding manner. "Silence!"

Toad looks at Yuki out of the corner of his eyes with a stunned expression and unintentionally does what he's told.

Meanwhile, Yuki parts her hands from each other to put them down as they're quite tense at the moment with the fair-skinned princess' head staying lowered while the temperature drastically descends all over the place. "I can totally accept that I'm weaker in comparison to my friends, so I won't fight any insults you may have toward me because I won't remain this way forever, so it's fine..." The corset-endowed beauty hurriedly brings her head up to focus on Toad once more, radiating an incredible amount of tenacity and passion, with no more tears ailing her face. "But I've had enough of your implication of Dante using us!"

Toad's eyes profusely widen due to feeling intimidated by Yuki's outburst while his breathing is now visible to reflect how cold the region has become in a little over one minute. Afterwards, the red/green-eyed man attempts to gather his composure and leans forward so he can be ready to act on whatever may come next as he murmurs, "I do hope that I'm hallucinating because I'm not much of a fan of the cold, especially in this form. It would explain why I'm suddenly hearing a second voice from her. That simply isn't normal."

Yuki, with her breath also notable, steadily pants for the princess to control her rage and contorts herself the same way Toad is before sprinting forth via her Frozen Skates as she picks up a lot of speed.

Toad allows a small smirk right when he responds to Yuki's hasty charge and leaps off Ilya's back to soar forward. Amidst doing that, the formerly green-haired individual pridefully yells out while curling into a ball yet again with his incredibly fast rotation following, "I'll be kind and beat you like I beat your smoking hot friend! Remember?! Equality!"

Yuki immediately twirls to her right with both hands raised above her like a professional ice skater, successfully dodging Toad. Her spinning then comes to a screeching halt as she's facing where the amphibious man had flown, having her arms horizontally poised toward her left, with her right foot stationed ahead of the other to present a firm stance and sustains both eyes glued upon the enemy while resonating ferocity.

Not long after that, Toad bounces off the wall that was originally behind Yuki, compliments of his spinning body, and returns toward the damsel while flipping backwards as he continues to be very prideful. "Peekaboo! Evading won't really help you!" The Asian psychotically laughs.

Yuki swings both arms ahead in unison and then points them skyward with a powerful, freezing wind ascending according to her movements after placing her left foot next to her right foot for better stability. "In that case, we'll have to drive you to the ground!" The blue-eyed girl hurriedly draw her hands downward as she accomplished that sentence, forcing the strong accumulation of chilling air to descend while gaining countless snowflakes, and wholeheartedly shouts, "Frost Storm Driver!"

Light confusion emits from Toad, although this can't be seen due to his face being tucked into his body, as he barely manages to utter a split second prior to getting rammed by the snow-filled wind, "We'll?" He's promptly sent to the ground, his momentum having been harshly stopped against his desire the instance Toad was overrun with Yuki's spell, and crashes his back on the terrain while causing the floor to break apart even more.

Following that, the excessively cold air that brought Toad down upon the currently fluctuating floor scatters everywhere, making an amazing blizzard occur as a result, and begins freezing everything within the area. At the same time, Yuki repairs her posture and nonchalantly skates toward where Toad fell as she maneuvers around the broken sections of the floor until arriving to her destination with an emotionless expression during her observation of the man below the pink-haired person.

Toad painstakingly rests his sights on Yuki in an upside-down position, his entire being sprawled on atop the battered floor, while practically paralyzed and struggles to talk with his tongue sticking out through the left side of his mouth. "W-W-Why...? I-I w-withstood... Y-Y-Y-Your f-friend's... S-S-So..." The Animal Tamer's nearly-naked body rapidly becomes frozen, only leaving him a few moments of life.

Knowing that very well, Yuki doesn't waste time replying as there's no real change to her attitude and still has Yui's voice merged with hers. "Various reasons. Mainly because you're a moron. You thought a cold-blooded animal had a chance against someone who wields ice, however, I understand where you got deceived. My other half, even with an advantage, is helplessly pathetic. It's merely your misfortune that I'm slowly, but surely, having things my way ever since." She evilly giggles.

No rebuttal's heard out of Toad thanks to the Wilde Family member fully being petrified by frost as it's uncertain if he even listened to the last thing Yuki said while vacantly watching the one who killed him.

Despite defeating the Frog-like man, the indoor blizzard remains, gradually worsening with every passing second, while Yuki raises her right hand in front of herself and makes the Ice Wand appear in its grasp. Once she does that, the pink-haired adolescent draws her vision onto the ice-material weapon as Yui's voice begins to overcome Yuki's when speaking and tightens her right hand's grip in a sinister method. "Time for me to take control. I do deserve it after doing all the heavy lifting again."

Yuki frantically plants her left hand atop the temporal region belonging to the same side and grimaces in terror. "No! I can't let you! You'll hurt the others!" She quickly squats down with her legs close together, burying her face into her lap, while moving her left hand to her head's backside as the jacket-wearing girl's right hand stays stretched forth. "Go back in my head and sleep!"

Completely enraged, Yui retorts while swapping back and forth control with Yuki as she struggles to break the Ice Wand. "Don't you dare tell me what to do! I let it slide last time when you told me to shut up, but that obviously was a mistake since you're getting too full of yourself! Anyway, I've slept enough and I want out! It's your turn to sleep, you pathetic brat!"

Yuki fervently shakes her head without pulling her face away from her lap prior to extending her left hand ahead and tries to free the Ice Wand by prying at her other hand. "I won't!"

While Yuki and Yui battle each other for control, Ilya finally starts stirring at the spot she was basically submerged into until gaining a significant amount of her wits back to steadily push herself off the demolished floor via both hands as her clothing has suffered major damage in addition to the deep scraps embedded upon her back. The headband-endowed Spellcaster almost keels over to her left, exhibiting how physically injured she is, but caught her balance at the last instance and coughs a couple of times while on all fours. Soon after, Ilya's vision clears to stare at the floor as she's gasping for air and mumbles in exhaustion, "Thank goodness... I'm no stranger to getting hit... By strong attacks..." The hazel-eyed beauty glances at her surroundings with some urgency instantly radiating, however, retains her movement to a minimum since she's still in agony. "Hey! Where's Yuki and that pervert?!" Ilya then finds Yuki several meters in front of her, causing the dress-wearing teen to lift her head a tad while wincing, as she lightly sighs from relief. "There she is..."

Having said that, the light-skinned young lady resumes her search of the area, however, this time with curiosity brimming after commandeering her hands to be mounted on her lap so she can station herself upright and sits atop both of her legs. "I don't see the Wilde guy anywhere. Is he cloaking himself again?" Realization abruptly overruns Ilya as she snaps her head back to Yuki while fairly concerned. "Wait! Why do sense this horrifyingly powerful magic from Yuki all of a sudden?! It can easily be on par with a Class A Spellcaster's magic!" The white-haired person deviates her concentration to the blizzard occurring all around the place and frightfully yells, "And why is it snowing when we're inside?!" Ilya hurriedly embraces herself with both arms before steering her focus down to the floor ahead of the hazel-eyed girl as her body profusely trembles and teeth rapidly chatter. "I'm confused and cold! What's happening?!"

Yuki, unable to hear Ilya's cry because of the loud, freezing wind rushing throughout, courageously attempts to win against Yui and removes her face from her lap to intently glare at the hand the other half's manipulating. "Give up! I'd rather die before willingly permitting you freedom!"

Yui groans in a dull way without really loosening her possession of the Ice Wand while solemnly saying, "I have a question for you and I want you to be honest with yourself. Between you and me, who'd you think Dante would prefer more? A weakling who needs to always be saved and throws unnecessary tantrums or a hot bombshell who can undoubtedly hold her own?"

Yuki's totally shocked by what Yui asked her and unfortunately lost her concentration with her left hand as she weakly mutters, "Uhhh..."

Yui immediately smiles out of content due to her plan working prior to applying all her strength in one go and causes the Ice Wand to crack, nearly shattering it.

Yuki sees that transpired with fear engulfing her and desperately pulls both hands to her chest, having shut her eyes in the process, while completely slouching over her lap as she screams, "STOP IT!" The blizzard swiftly reacts to both the cracking of Yuki's wand and her outburst, becoming much more treacherous while creating what could effortlessly be comparable to as a twister around the upset princess.

Ilya hears Yuki's screaming and snaps her head up in alarm as she watches the wind formation for a couple of seconds until slowly getting to her feet with unimaginable pain aching the headband-endowed chick's being. After that, the hazel-eyed teenager carefully moves her right hand off her left arm to have it float down next to her right hip while retaining her left hand's hold on the other arm for support since it ended up suffering a bit more damage than her left when she collided with the ground and strains herself to say, "Yuki..." Ilya promptly takes in a deep breath to yell out of dread and dismay, "Yuki!"

Yuki, even though entrapped by the snowy twister, faintly manages to hear Ilya's voice resonating from behind her, which makes her eyes instantaneously reopen, while turning her head toward the right so she can investigate. Right after that, the pink-haired girl softly asks herself with an awestruck look as her vision's blocked by the mighty blizzard, not letting Yuki verify what she heard, "Ilya?" She then gives off a mournful expression prior to quickly repairing her stature and faces toward where Ilya called out from with both hands slightly lowered, locating them now on top of Yuki's stomach, and passionately shouts, "Ilya!"

Unexpectedly, the snow-based twister immediately expands in unison with Yuki's cry, making the blizzard's strength increase to the point where almost nothing else, aside the Ice Spellcaster and Ilya, have eluded being frozen stiff. Sadly, Ilya doesn't come out scot-free of the blizzard's improvement in power as a large part of her body has gained frost, which includes her right cheek, and forces the accessory-wearing damsel to grow weaker while her ears barely captured Yuki's voice. This leads to the white-haired individual to call back out after taking a few steps in her companion's direction, still unable to lock her sights on Yuki's exact position, "Yuki, is that you?! You sound different! What's happening?!" Ilya peers at her surroundings. "What's up with this storm?!"

Yuki responds in a rush, brushing off Ilya's question of Yui's voice mixed along with hers, as she struggles to keep her other half from interfering when it involves talking. "Never mind that! You have to knock me out!"

Ilya hurriedly reverts her attention to Yuki's general area while completely baffled. "Huh?! Knock you out?!"

Yuki, knowing that Ilya can't see her presence, unconsciously nods her head as her body becomes heavy due to Yui's constant effort to take over from within that the fragile princess' feeling at the moment. "Yes! If you do that, there's a really good chance my other self will be knocked out too and have to sleep for a while even after I wake back up!"

Ilya mildly slants her head to the left with more of her person freezing to the extent that she might not be able to move once ten seconds pass and inquisitively thinks, "She has another self?!" The hazel-eyed teen abruptly recalls Dante, leaving a huge impression on her as she mutters, "Kind of like him..."

Yuki hastily shouts with her eyes shut again while putting her head down a tad, "I know it's hard for you to understand and I'll explain in detail later, but please do it, Ilya! I don't want to hurt anyone I care about!" The blue-eyed chick then throws her head back and cries in a pleading way as she sets her gaze ahead, "I beg of you, Ily-" Yuki isn't permitted to finish that sentence as she's suddenly hit on the forehead by Ilya's gold staff that had recently flew through the snowy twister with a nice amount of speed. This sends the corset-wearing girl backwards, fully dazed, while the Ice Wand dematerializes in mere seconds with Yuki releasing a loud groan before landing her back atop the distorted, frozen terrain about a meter above the deceased Toad's head.

Simultaneously, the intense blizzard plaguing the entire room commences to die down as Ilya's revealed to be sitting on the floor now roughly two meters farther back than where she stood a handful of seconds ago that way she could quickly reach for the gold staff lying there via both hands and threw it with everything she had left while falling since she didn't have sufficient stability to do so standing. Her legs are currently crossed together with both appendages inside the space between them, blandly observes what's gradually displayed in front of her and calmly utters, "No need to ask me twice. Do you know how long I've wanted to hit you for all your cocky taunts? You just gave me the perfect chance AND with your blessings to make me not responsible." She gingerly giggles from amusement and then takes several minutes to muster up the strength to rise, exhaustion ailing her to no end, with the indoor storm halting in the process. After achieving that, Ilya steadily drags her feet to walk towards Yuki as the dress-wearing beauty's slouched forth until making it to her comrade and utilizes her right foot to nudge Yuki's left, ice-material, skate while paying minuscule mind to the fact that both Frozen Skates had begun melting. "Hey, wake up."

Yuki doesn't correctly react at Ilya's contact, continuing to be passed out with her eyes glazed over and forehead significantly bruised, while mumbling somewhat lazily in an outstretched poise across the floor without Yui's voice entwined amidst her speech anymore as the gold staff that struck her rests next to her left side, "But I'm a good princess, daddy... Don't take my dresses and make me wear a maid outfit... It looks tacky..."

A serious scowl forms on Ilya's face before whispering to herself in the same tone as previously, "That's randomly inappropriate. I do hope there's a decent reasoning behind that babbling." The young female perches the foot she was nudging with on Yuki's left ankle while establishing a devilish smirk. "You're clearly out cold, so I guess I have no choice but to resort to drastic measures in waking you. Do forgive me." Ilya says that last part in a sarcastic method prior to chiming happily, "Burst."

With that said, a controlled blast, so Ilya wouldn't accidentally kill the unconscious dame, generates from the Velkry Spellcaster's right sole and easily transgress through Yuki while instantly causing a pained scream to reverberate everywhere. Right after, laughter can be heard originating from Ilya followed by an extremely enraged Yuki shouting at the top of her lungs, "THAT'S NOT FREAKING FUNNY!"
