THE WEDDING DAY

{9}

The wedding day arrived, and the atmosphere was filled with a unique blend of tension. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and curiosity. The venue was adorned with breathtaking flowers and exquisite decorations, a stark contrast to the tension between the bride and groom. Family and friends gathered, eager to witness this unique event.

As the guests took their seats, whispers filled the air, questioning the authenticity of this union. Nobody could understand how these former enemies had ended up saying "I do" to each other.

As Y/n walked down the aisle, all eyes were on her. She looked radiant in her wedding gown, but her expression betrayed her conflicted emotions. Taehyung, on the other hand, stood at the altar, waiting with a mix of nervousness and doubt. Their families looked on, unsure of what was to come.

Jimin who was watching Taehyung since the starting, whispered beside him.

Jimin- This is going to be the most interesting wedding ever.

As they stood at the altar, both Y/n and Taehyung wore expressions that were a mixture of annoyance, disbelief, and confusion.

The ceremony began with a traditional exchange of vows. The priest cleared his throat and began,

Priest- Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Y/n and Taehyung. If anyone has any objections, please speak up. Y/n and Taehyung, in front of the witnesses present today, you will make promises to each other that you'll stand by each other's side forever.

The Priest's words floated through the air, but it was clear that the couple's minds were elsewhere.

Y/n and Taehyung stood side by side, their gazes locked, both took turns, each expressing their reluctant love in sarcastic yet humorous tones.

Y/n- You know, this is a crazy idea.

She whispered, Taehyung smirked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Taehyung- Who cares what they think? This will be the wedding they'll never forget.

The guests watched in awe as the couple exchanged their vows. Y/n spoke of passion and adventure, while Taehyung spoke of loyalty and strength. It was a clash of ideals, but somehow, it worked.

Y/n muttered under their breath

Y/n-I can't believe I'm marrying this guy.

Taehyung caught the comment and smiled, replying,

Taehyung- Don't worry, darling. I feel the same way.

After the vows, it was time for the rings to be exchanged. As the priest declared them married, Y/n and Taehyung shared a reluctant glance, a mixture of amusement and surprise in their eyes. No one had expected their wedding to be this entertaining or light-hearted.

Priest- Now the groom may kiss the bride.

As the priest said those words Y/n and Taehyung's eyes widen. Y/n looked at Taehyung with pleading eyes as he stared at her back. He gently wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer as her hands went to hold his shoulder.

He leaned closer, both of their hearts beating in an unusual pace. He kissed near the corner of her lips as she fisted her hands which were resting on his shoulders.

He stepped back immediately as both of them looked down after sharing the close proximity with each other for the first time in their lives.

In the midst of the joyous chaos, Taehyung's grandfather, decided to lighten the mood. He walked up to Taehyung, patting him on the back and whispering in his ear

G/Kim- Remember, grandson, a successful marriage requires three things: a sense of humor, forgiveness, and a never-ending supply of snacks.

Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle, his eyes meeting Y/n's for a brief moment.

Grandpa then grab the microphone and start speaking. The whole room fell quiet as all eyes turned towards him.

G/Kim- Today, my dear grandson Taehyung and Y/n, we gather here to celebrate love, the most peculiar form of it, I must say!

He began, causing a few chuckles to escape from the guests.

G/Kim- Now, I've watched these two grow up together, always bickering and never seeing eye-to-eye. But today, they have managed to reach an entirely different level of their relationship.

As he continued speaking, the guests couldn't help but find themselves entertained by the charismatic old man's stories. He recounted countless incidents where Y/n and Taehyung had competed against each other in the most outrageous ways, much to everyone's amusement. Their childhood pranks, sabotage attempts, and epic battles for the title of the superior being were brought to light, eliciting laughter from all corners of the room.

Y/n and Taehyung exchanged glances, realizing that their amusing past was being exposed for the world to witness. The tension between them seemed to dissipate slightly as they both realized they had shared a unique bond, even if it was one built on rivalry.

G/Kim- And so, my dearest grandchildren, I want you to remember that in every good love story, there has to be some drama and madness.

He concluded, and the crowd erupted into applause.

Ana, went over to Taehyung, attempting to defuse the situation.

Ana- Can you believe this? Our beloved rivals, getting married! This is downright hilarious!

Taehyung chuckled sarcastically.

Taehyung- Yeah, hilarious indeed. Who would have thought we'd end up here, bound by wedlock?

Ana- I can already imagine the wrestling matches over who gets the remote! Or maybe the intense stare-downs during family gatherings.

As the conversations continued, the guests tried to break the ice. Laughter mingled with the nervousness, creating an atmosphere of unexpected joy. Even though they were enemies, Y/N and Taehyung couldn't help but appreciate the absurdity of the situation.

----------------------------------

Y/n's mother wiped away a stray tear and looked at her daughter with a mixture of pride and sadness.

Y/m- Y/n, my dear, I can't believe this day is finally here. It feels like just yesterday you were a little girl, playing with your dolls.

Y/n smiled warmly at her mother, her eyes shining with love.

Y/n- I know, Mom. It's hard to believe how fast time flies. But remember, no matter where life takes me, I'll always be your little girl.

Y/n's father, chimed in, fighting back tears.

Y/f- That's right, sweetheart. No matter how many miles separate us, you'll always have a special place in our hearts.

Hoseok, tried to lighten the mood with a teasing smile.

Hoseok- Yeah, yeah, all this mushy stuff is making me feel like I'm at a sappy movie. But seriously, Y/n, you better not forget about me. I'm going to miss our late-night gaming sessions.

Y/n chuckled, playfully nudging her brother.

Y/n- Don't worry, oppa, no one can replace the bond we have. I promise I'll make time for our gaming marathons, no matter what.

His grin faded, and he looked at Y/n with eyes filled with unshed tears.

Hoseok- You better invite me over for dinner often, Y/n. I can't survive on microwave dinners alone.

Y/n's laughter filled the air, a sound that brought comfort and joy to her family.

Y/n- You know you'll always have a seat at our table. Homecooked meals and plenty of game time. It's a promise.

As the time to leave approached, Y/n hugged each of them tightly, tears streaming down her face.

Y/n- I love you all so much. Thank you for everything.

Her mother kissed her forehead.

Y/m- We love you too, Y/n. You deserve all the happiness in the world.

With a heavy heart, Y/n walked towards the door, Taehyung waiting for her outside. Y/n climbed into the car, her eyes meeting his gaze. As the car pulled away from the house, her family stood on the porch, waving goodbye with heavy hearts.

As the car rolled down the street, Y/n's tears began to flow freely, and Taehyung held her hand tightly. He didn't need words to understand her pain, his touch and presence were enough to console her.

Y/n slumped back into the car seat, tears streaming down her cheeks. Taehyung reached over, gently wiping them away.

Taehyung- It's okay to be sad.

He whispered, his voice filled with empathy.

Y/n nodded, finding solace in Taehyung's words. He reached over to hold her hand, offering her comfort.

Taehyung- I know it's hard, Y/n. Our families will always be a part of our lives, no matter where we are.

She glanced at him, her eyes swimming with mixed emotions.

Y/n- I never imagined this would be so difficult. I love my family, it's hard to leave everything behind.

He squeezed her hand gently.

Taehyung- I understand, Y/n.

She nodded, leaning into his shoulder for support.

Y/n- I know you're right. It's just that saying goodbye is always hard, especially when it feels like I'm leaving a part of myself behind.

He kissed her forehead softly, his voice filled with tenderness.

Taehyung- You're not leaving anyone behind, Y/n. They will always be with you, in your heart.
