Y/n and Taehyung found themselves out shopping together. Little did they know that this innocent outing would soon turn into a life-threatening situation.

Y/n- I didn't know my shopping day would ruin because of you, can't you let me shop in peace.

Taehyung- In peace, little monkey you have ruined my entire afternoon in your useless shopping.

He said mimicking her tone.

Y/n- Shut up, now stay here I'll quickly go and buy my favorite stuff.

She said and went strolling the shop while he was lazily following her trying to keep up with her pace.

As they keep strolling through the bustling streets, a most wanted criminal spotted Y/n and decided to take advantage of the opportunity, since the police was running errands to catch him.

The criminal, armed and dangerous, approached Y/n with malicious intent.

Criminal- If anyone dared to come close, I will kill her.

Y/n's breath hasten as she felt him pointing his gun at her temple. Taehyung who saw Y/n held at a gunpoint by the criminal was about to intervene, but someone held him.

?- Sir please wait.

Taehyung- Leave me. What do you mean by wait, he held my wife as captive you idiot.

Panic filled the air as everyone around them scattered, leaving Y/n defenseless. Just as the criminal was about to strike, a gunshot echoed through the air. The police had come to the rescue, shooting the criminal dead.

Shaken and terrified, Y/n found herself trembling uncontrollably. Taehyung, who had witnessed the entire incident, rushed to her side. He wrapped his arms around her, offering comfort and solace in the midst of chaos.

Taehyung- It's okay, Y/n. You're safe now.

He whispered softly, his voice filled with genuine concern.

Y/n- Tae there's b-blood all o-over me. He's d-dead.

She said shaking terribly in his hold.

Taehyung- Shhh calm down baby hmm. Look nothing happened to you. He's not dead.

He said whispering in her ears. He felt her grip tightened on his shirt as she was hiding her face in his chest.

Police- Sir please take madam home, we will handle the matter here.

Taehyung- Okay.

He said and tried to detach her from himself, but she didn't move a bit. He gently picked her up in his arms and took her to his car.

Taehyung- Y/n look we're in the car now, hmm don't be scared I'm here with you.

Y/n slightly shook her head in a no. She kept hugging him tightly refusing to let go. Having no other option, he sat with her on his lap on the driver's seat and started driving the car carefully.

He could feel her shivering in his arms as her shallow breaths were hitting his neck.

As they reached home Taehyung picked up Y/n in his arms and went to their room. He already told Irene everything and asked her not to tell anyone in the family about what happened.

Taehyung- Y/n go and change hmm I'm here don't worry.

He said as she slowly nodded her head and went to bathroom.

As Y/n saw her reflection in the mirror she started shaking seeing her blood-soaked clothes. She immediately turned the shower on and stood under it. Rubbing off the blood on her body harshly.

Taehyung too immediately changed his clothes and was waiting impatiently for Y/n. He knew she would be traumatized after witnessing all this. Everyone has always been protective over Y/n. They've always kept her away from any kind of danger but now that she has witnessed an encounter it'll definitely leave an impact on her.

After half an hour Y/n came out wearing a bathrobe. Taehyung immediately approached her and made her sit on the bed. He picked up the hair dryer and dried her hairs. She was sitting quietly which worried him.

Taehyung- I've kept your clothes hmm, change into them till then I'll bring something for you to eat.

She only nodded her head which made Taehyung restless. He sighed and went out of the room to bring food for her.

Taehyung- Little monkey go to sleep, I am here, I am not going anywhere hmm.

She nodded her head and laid down on the bed. He also went to his side and lay down staring at her. He felt bad seeing her quiet.

Taehyung- I was so terrified when I saw you at gunpoint. If something happened to you Y/n, how will I be able to face myself knowing I was there with you, yet I couldn't protect you. I can't see you like this, I will definitely help you overcome this trauma. I want my little monkey to act like her usual self.

He said looking at her and gently stroked her hairs as she was sleeping soundly.

Taehyung gently stroked Y/n's hair as she shivered beside him, her eyes filled with fear after waking up from a nightmare. The room was dimly lit, with only a soft glow coming from the moonlight filtering through the curtains.

Taehyung- Hey, hey, it's okay, Y/n. I'm here with you. Just take deep breaths and try to calm down.

Y/n clung onto Taehyung's shirt, tears streaming down her face as she struggled to catch her breath.

Y/n- It was so real, Tae. I can't get the images out of my head.

She said while sobbing. He tightened his hold around her, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Taehyung- Shh, Y/n. I promise you, it was just a dream. I'm right here, and nothing will harm you. Let me take away the fear.

He whispered to her. She looked up at him, her eyes still filled with lingering fear. It was moments like these when she appreciated the depth of their connection.

Y/n- I'm... I'm scared, Taehyung. I don't want to go back to sleep. What if the nightmare comes back?

She said, her voice trembling.

Taehyung- I understand your fear, baby, but trust me, it won't come back. Close your eyes and feel the warmth of my arms around you. I'll chase away any darkness that wants to haunt you.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. His comforting words began to soothe her, slowly easing the tension within her body.

Y/n- Please stay with me, Taehyung. I need you by my side.

She whispered slowly.

Taehyung- Always, Y/n. I'll always be here for you, whether it's in your dreams or in reality.

He said softly.

They lay together in each other arms in silence, the only sound filling the room being the rhythmic beat of their hearts. Taehyung continued stroking Y/n's hair, his touch a balm to her troubled soul.

Y/n- Thank you, Taehyung. You always know how to make me feel safe.

He smiled, his eyes warm as he looked into her eyes.

Taehyung: It's my duty to protect you, Y/n. I'll do anything to keep you safe and happy.

They held each other tightly, finding solace in each other's arms. As the night turned into dawn, Y/n felt herself drifting back to sleep, comforted by the knowledge that Taehyung would be there when she woke.

Taehyung- Sleep well, little monkey.

He whispered and kissed her forehead, drifting to sleep a little later.
