On their way to Busan, Taehyung and Y/n found themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere as their car broke down. Panic set in as they realized they had no signal on their phones to call for help. Stranded on a desolate road, both of them found themselves in an unexpected predicament.

Y/n let out an exasperated sigh, looking at Taehyung with a mix of irritation and resignation.

Y/n- Of course, this would happen. Just my luck to be stuck here with you, Taehyung.

Taehyung, never one to be deterred by a little inconvenience, flashed a mischievous grin.

Taehyung- Oh come on, Y/n. Think of it as a bonding experience. I know you secretly enjoy spending time with me.

She rolled her eyes at his words.

Y/n- Yeah, right. Bonding experience my foot.

He ignored her comment and began inspecting the car engine, pretending to know what he was doing.

Taehyung- I think I found the problem! It's... uh... the flibberjibber valve. Totally fixable.

She watched with amusement as he fiddled with random parts of the engine.

Y/n- Flibberjibber valve? Taehyung, do you even know what you're saying?

He chuckled, giving her a playful nudge.

Taehyung- Do you really think I know a thing about cars? Now what do we do?

He muttered, kicking the tires of the car in frustration. Y/n sighed and ran a frustrated hand through their hair.

Y/n- I don't know, Taehyung. We'll have to figure something out. Maybe there's a nearby town or a gas station we can walk to.

He scoffed.

Taehyung- Walk? In the middle of nowhere? No way, I'm not doing that. We're gonna freeze out here.

She rolled her eyes.

Y/n- Stop being so dramatic, Taehyung. We can't stay here forever. We need to find help.

As they debated their next course of action, the sun began to set, casting deep hues of orange and purple across the sky. The temperature dropped quickly, leaving them shivering in the cold.

Taehyung- Okay, fine! We'll walk, but just for a little while.

He grumbled, grabbing a flashlight from the trunk. She nodded and they set off, walking side by side in uncomfortable silence. The only sound was the crunch of their footsteps against the gravel road.

Soon in the dense forest, Taehyung and Y/n found themselves hopelessly lost. As the sun began its descent beyond the towering trees, the shadows grew longer, and panic started to creep into their minds. Just when they thought all hope was lost, they stumbled upon an old cottage, its wooden structure begging for repair.

The wooden door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit interior. It was evident that nobody had been living there for quite some time. But they both had no other choice, they had to take refuge for the night.

Taehyung, being the first to reach the cottage's entrance, gave Y/n a triumphant grin.

Taehyung- Huh, looks like fate has pushed us into further bonding, huh, Y/n? Sharing a creepy cottage in the middle of nowhere. How delightful!

She scoffed, refusing to show any sign of amusement.

Y/n- Don't get too excited, Taehyung. This place is probably infested with spiders and rats. Not exactly my idea of quality bonding time.

Unfazed by her sarcastic comment, He stepped inside, inspecting the surroundings as though he was a detective solving a mysterious case. Dust settled on the furniture, cobwebs covered the corners, and an ominous portrait of a somber-looking woman hung on the wall.

Taehyung- So, Y/n, how about we divide and conquer? Taehyung suggested, his eyes gleaming mischievously. I'll take the spider-infested attic, and you can clean up the rodent kingdom in the basement. Teamwork, right?

She glared at Taehyung, contemplating whether throwing him out into the forest in their current situation was a better option.

Y/n who has been feeling unwell since they entered the forest, suddenly she collapsed onto the dusty floor. Taehyung rushed to her side, his worry evident in his eyes.

Taehyung- What's wrong with you?

He asked as he held her, concern lacing his voice.

Y/n- I don't know. I started feeling sick as soon as we entered this forest.

She weakly said. He gently touched her forehead, his eyes widened when he realized that she has caught fever.

Taehyung- Holy shit, you're burning up.

Pointing to a worn-out mattress, he gently helped her lay down.

Taehyung- Stay here, I'll find something to help you feel better.

He rummaged through the shelves, searching for anything that can be of help. But all he could find were a few dusty bottles of questionable origin. Returning to her side empty-handed, he sighed.

Taehyung- I couldn't find anything to help, but I won't give up. We'll figure something out.

Y/n managed a weak smile, grateful for his changing attitude.

Wracked with fever and shivering uncontrollably, she lay weakly on a worn-out mattress. Her body consumed by a raging fever. She shivered uncontrollably as sweat dripped down her forehead.

Taehyung saw her condition, his brow drew together. He knew they will find no hospital nearby, also it was raining by now. If they step out now her condition can worsen more.

Taehyung- I... I'll stay close to you, Y/n.

He whispered gently; his voice tinged with a vulnerability he had never shown before. He rummaged through the place and found a cloth. Dipping it in water he kept it on her forehead. He kept doing for a while, but her fever didn't subside a bit.

He rubbed her hands and palm but that too didn't work, He realized that she needed more than just a damp cloth and sips of water to recover. He made a bold decision, one that would surprise them both.

He couldn't see her like this anymore.

Taehyung- Y/n, you're freezing.

He declared, as his eyes glistened.

Taehyung- I'm going to warm you up.

Confusion washed over her face as she watched him confidently remove his jacket, revealing his well-built physique. Her eyes widen at his sudden action.

He made her wear the jacket before carefully sliding into the mattress beside her, gently taking her into his embrace leaving no gap between their bodies. He slid his hands on her waist pulling her even closer. Her breath hitched at the unexpected intimacy of the situation.

Y/n- Taehyung, w-what are you d-doing?

She stammered, her face flushed with both fever and embarrassment.

Taehyung- I'm giving you my body warmth.

He stated matter of fact. She looked down as he held her chin and made her face him.

Taehyung- It's the fastest way to raise your body temperature and fight off the fever. I know we've always been enemies, but we're both human, and I can't just abandon you now.

Her eyes widened in astonishment, yet she found herself unable to refuse his kindness. She slowly wrapped her hands around his neck snuggling closer to him. He tightened his grip around her waist. He could feel her burning body as she was so close to him.

Taehyung- You'll be fine.

He whispered in her ear and kissed it as she slowly hummed. Soon they both fell asleep in each other arms.

As the sunrays entered the cottage, Taehyung fluttered his eyes open. He realized Y/n was still in his embrace, her soft breath was hitting his neck making him feel unusual.

He slightly detached her from him and kept his hand on her forehead. He sighed in relief as her fever has gone down. He kept looking at her face with admiration. Leaning closer to her he bopped his nose with hers.

A shy smile appeared on his face as he recalled his action.

Y/n slowly fluttered her eyes before opening them completely. But she immediately looked away when she glanced at Taehyung and their position. Calming her racing heart, she slowly removed her arms around him and sat up.

Taehyung- Are you feeling better now?

Y/n- Yeah.

She said avoiding his gaze as he smiled at her behavior. He was about to say something when his phone rang,

Taehyung- Finally there's signal, it's Jin Hyung.

He immediately picked up the call and told him what happened. Jin has called him to know if they reached Busan or not, but their phones were unreachable.

Taehyung- Hyung has sent a driver, he'll be here in an hour or so, we'll go back to Seoul.

Y/n- But what about the wedding we were going to attend in Busan?

Taehyung- Don't worry Mom will handle it, besides you're not completely well hmm.

He said as she nodded her head.
