AGREED

Y/n was in her room with Ana telling her about all the things that happened since her birthday.

Y/n- Ana, you won't believe what my family is trying to do to me.

She exasperated.

Ana- What's going on, Y/n?

Y/n- They are forcing me to marry Taehyung, of all people! Can you believe it? Taehyung, my mortal enemy.

Ana- Seriously?

Y/n: Yes, I can't even comprehend how this happened. It's like a bad dream.

Ana- Well, maybe it's a sign that you two were meant to be together.

Y/n- Oh, please! We were always at each other's throats. The idea of spending the rest of my life with him is torture.

She said in a pissed tone.

Ana- But Y/n, you have to admit, there must be some funny memories between you two. Remember when you superglued his backpack shut?

Y/n- Yes, I remember. And he retaliated by pouring glitter on my head during graduation! It was mortifying!

Ana- Oh, come on! That was hilarious! You two were like little kids playing pranks on each other.

She laughed.

Y/n- Maybe back then it was amusing, but now? Getting married to him? It's beyond my comprehension.

Ana- Well, maybe this is a chance for you two to finally bury the hatred and find some common ground.

Y/n- Yes, because nothing brings people closer together than being forced into an arranged marriage.

Ana- Okay, maybe it's not the ideal situation, but who knows?

Y/n- I highly doubt it. The only thing that will happen is a lifetime of arguments, pranks, and misery.

Ana let out a low whistle.

Ana- Wow, that's rough. I can't believe they're forcing you into this.

Y/n- Tell me about it. I tried everything to convince them otherwise, but they are adamant. They believe that our families coming together will be good for everything, but what about my happiness? It feels like they don't even care about that.

She ranted, her voice filled with frustration. Ana sighed.

Ana- Parents can be so stubborn sometimes. But have you talked to Taehyung about this? Maybe he's feeling the same way.

Y/n scoffed.

Y/n- Talk to Taehyung? That's the last thing I want to do. He's the reason I'm in this mess in the first place. The only thing we ever did was argue, and now we're supposed to spend the rest of our lives together? It's absurd.

Ana chuckled lightly.

Ana- I get it, Y/n. But maybe, just maybe, there's a side to Taehyung that you've never seen before. People change, you know?

Y/n- Ana, he made my life a living hell in high school. He teased me, he picked on me, and he made me feel so small. How can I forget all that and give him a chance?

Y/n exclaimed, her voice full of hurt and anger.

Ana- I understand your anger, Y/n. But sometimes, the things that we think define a person aren't always the whole truth. Maybe Taehyung has changed. People grow up, learn from their mistakes, and become better versions of themselves.

Y/n let out a frustrated sigh.

Y/n- I don't know, Ana. It just feels so unfair. I want to have a say in my own future. I want to marry someone I choose, not someone forced upon me.

Y/n scoffed and rolled her eyes.

Y/n- Yeah, right. The only thing Taehyung cares about is getting the last word in our arguments.

Ana nodded, understanding why Y/n felt that way. After all, Taehyung had always been the troublemaker, always trying to one-up Y/n whenever he got the chance. But Ana knew there was more to Taehyung than met the eye.

Ana- Let me tell you a story.

Ana said, leaning in closer.

Ana-Remember when you lost your phone last month? You were panicking, but it was Taehyung who found it and returned it to you. He could've easily kept it or played a prank, but he chose to do the right thing.

Y/n shrugged, still skeptical.

Y/n- Maybe he was just trying to mess with me but ended up giving it back for a good laugh.

Ana sighed but refused to give up. She knew she had to find more evidence to convince Y/n. Then a grin spread across her face.

Ana- Ah! I've got it! Remember that time when we were all doing that trust exercise, and you had to fall backward? It was Taehyung who caught you before you hit the ground. He was so determined to keep you safe, even though you were enemies.

Y/n's eyes widened in surprise. She had forgotten about that incident entirely.

Y/n- Maybe he did that because our families are friends.

Ana sighed.

--------------------------

Taehyung and Jimin were sitting in Jimin's room, sipping on their respective drinks. Taehyung's face looked troubled, and Jimin immediately picked up on it.

Jimin- Hey, Tae, what's bothering you? You look like you're about to explode.

Jimin said, concern evident in his voice.

Taehyung let out a deep sigh and leaned back in his chair.

Taehyung- Oh, Jimin, you won't believe the mess I've gotten myself into. You remember what happened on Y/n's birthday right.

He nodded, remembering the countless times Taehyung had ranted about it.

Jimin- Yeah, how could I forget? Why? Anything else too happened?

Taehyung ran a hand through his hair, frustration clear on his face.

Taehyung- My family wants that I should marry Y/n. Can you believe it? Marry my sworn enemy! It's like they want World War III to happen!

Jimin frowned knowing he ranted it almost the 50th time.

Jimin- Have you tried talking to your parents? Explained that you don't want to marry her?

Taehyung nodded, his frustration etched on his face.

Taehyung- Of course! I've argued with them for hours, explaining that I can't marry someone I despise. But they just won't listen. They're convinced it's the best decision for both of us.

Jimin- But marrying Y/n isn't a bad idea too, you both have known each other since you were kids.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, feigning indifference.

Taehyung- Please, Jimin, Y/n is just someone I have to deal with. Nothing more.

Jimin smirked, knowing there was more to it than Taehyung was letting on.

Jimin- Oh come on, Tae, don't be so coy. I've seen the way you look at her when you think no one is watching. It's like you're more interested in her well-being than anyone else's.

Taehyung's ears turned slightly red, but he tried to play it cool.

Taehyung- You're imagining things, Jimin. I couldn't care less about Y/n.

Jimin leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper.

Jimin- Are you sure about that, Tae? Because the other day, I saw you staying back after class just to make sure she got home safely. That's not something you do for someone you hate.

Taehyung's eyes widened

Taehyung- I...I was just making sure she didn't get in any trouble. It's not like I care or anything.

Jimin chuckled, thoroughly enjoying teasing his friend.

Jimin- Sure, Tae. I believe you.

Taehyung- I came here and wants you to help me get out of this mess but seems like you're enjoying my state huh! Keep laughing you moron.

He said and stormed out of his room as Jimin was still laughing.

---------------------------

G/kim- Hmm, any other plans?

He asked looking at Taehyung.

Taehyung- No grandpa. I'm fine with it.

Taehyung said as his grandfather finally smiled at him.

G/kim- I knew it, you won't disappoint me. I'm so happy that you made the right decision.

Taehyung too smiled back at him seeing him happy.

---------------------------

Y/n- Mom! I don't understand why Grandpa wants us to marry each other. He knows we're always at each other's throat but still.

Y/mom- It's not him who decided this alone. Your grandfather wished the same.

She said as Y/n's eyes widened in surprise.

Y/f- Y/n dear, the final decision is your, we won't force you. But do remember that it was your grandfather's last wish. He wanted to see you married to Taehyung, to his best friend's grandson.

Y/n felt caught up in emotions. She knew what her parents were trying to do.

Y/n- I will marry him, if that's what you all want.

Y/n said and left to her room as her parents smiled at each other.
