Ch. Three
Jungkook's POV
The party was tonight and the number I had messaged the other day asked me if I was going. I was strangely thinking about going even though I'm rarely caught at those things.
I wanted to go mostly because I wanted to know who the person I had been messaging was. I found the piece of paper on the sidewalk and my curiosity decided to take it, looking at the number and finally gaining courage to text it. I still didn't know who they were.
My mom knocked on my door and opened it with a bright smile. "Honey, please be careful tonight." She said softly. "And no drinking."
I laughed quietly, causing my eyes to crease in the corners and my lips to curve upwards.
"Mom, let me live!" I whined.
She shook her head and hugged me tightly. "You wouldn't drink even if I asked you to." She chuckled and ruffled my hair. She's right.
I had never been into any of the "cool" things in school. I liked reading, not drinking. I liked to stay at home and play games, not partying.
The only normal thing about me was the fact that I could easily talk to anyone or everyone, and apparently that's not even normal.
I finally got to the big house and took one last step forward before stopping. My body felt numb as I looked at all of the crazy people dancing outside, drinks in their hands.
I was wearing black skinny jeans and a white T-shirt— nothing too bad.. except for the fact that everyone else was spilling drinks everywhere and this is my favorite outfit.
The corners of my mouth tilted down as I looked at everyone who was here. I took out my phone and decided to find out who the unknown person was behind this number.
Me
Are you at the party?
I walked inside the house, stepping in between people as I made my way to the beverages. It was all only alcohol.
My nose scrunched up as a guy tumbled into me. "I-I'm Sorry." I stuttered as I tried to walk away. The boy grabbed me and pulled me into him, smirking as he looked down at me.
"If you wanted my attention, you got it." He slurred his words. I furrowed my brows and untangled his hands from my waist.
"I wasn't trying—"
"Come on," He cut me off. "Let's just have a little fun." He smirked and got closer to me.
I shut my eyes in fear, not knowing what he was going to do. The last thing I saw before I closed my eyes was his blonde hair and brown eyes coming closer and closer to my face.
He started kissing my neck and I squealed as my eyes shut tighter. "Get away, you perv!" I pushed him off of me and ran for the stairs.
I took out my phone, ready to call my mom to come get me from this horrible place when I saw my phone light up with a message.
Sidewalk Number
Yeah I'm here
Are you?
I stared at my phone for a moment and decided to try to see who the person was before I left. This was my only chance to see them out of school, so I took it.
Me
I'm here.
Meet me at the tree beside the pool
Now or never, mystery person
I waited a couple of minutes, seeing that the person had read the message. I waited another couple of minutes to decide whether or not I wanted to go outside.
When I got to the pool without being seen by the boy who started kissing me, I looked at the tree and furrowed my eyebrows.
The only two people who were at the tree were Min Yoongi, who looked impatient, and Kim Taehyung, who was glancing at everyone.
I walked a little closer to the tree, not making it noticeable that I was looking for anyone.
"Tell Juliet to hurry up," Yoongi groaned. "I made Hoseok wait for me, Taehyung." He said.
Taehyung scoffed and shooed him away.
"I never told you to stand here with me anyways, just go." He shrugged. Yoongi took off and smiled once he stood next to Hoseok.
I furrowed my eyebrows and clenched my fists once I saw the boy from earlier walking around, looking through the crowd.
Is he looking for me?
I wanted to hide, and the only place was behind the tree.. so that's where I hid.
Taehyung turned and squinted his eyes at me. "What are you doing, nerdy boy?" He asked.
I frowned and rested my head against the tree. Really? Now of all times? I looked up at him and sighed. "What are you doing?" I asked quietly and smiled weakly at him.
Taehyung looked into the crowd of dancing people and shrugged. "I don't think that's your business." He said coldly and crossed his arms.
He furrowed his eyebrows and looked ahead of him. "Hey, have you seen a boy about my height and kind of babyish face? Brown hair.. Brown eyes..?" I heard the guy from earlier ask Taehyung. No, Taehyung please don't say..
My body stiffened and I stayed still.
I looked at Taehyung, still hiding, and shook my head. Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows and looked back at the boy. "You mean Jungkook?" Taehyung asked with a grin. "He's here."
I gripped my fingernails into the tree and ran for the street, not stopping until I got home.
I was out of breath and I could barely feel my legs anymore as I fell onto the hallway floor.
Gee, thanks a lot Taehyung.
I took out my phone and looked at the number on my phone, gripping onto my phone tightly as I pressed "Delete Contact."
I sighed and headed for my room, deciding that today was just a complete loss of time.
