Ch. Six
Taehyung's POV
I got a message from the unknown number as I was about to fall asleep. I stared at the message and squinted my eyes as the bright light shined in my face.
Unknown
Are you okay?
My eyebrows furrowed and I typed.
Me
Am I NOT supposed to be??
Unknown
I heard about the fight
What happened
Me
Mason is a piece of shit
Unknown
Don't say mean things
Why did u fight him??
Me
I thought you said to stop talking to u?
Who are you????
I waited a while and got no answer. The person left me on read, so I decided to put my phone back up and go to sleep.
The next morning, Jin walked up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"What's your excuse this time?" He asked.
I sighed and looked at Jin. He could read me like a book, so I decided to not even try and lie.
"He was messing with nerdy boy." I shrugged. After hearing about what actually happened from Yoongi—Who heard from Hoseok- I decided that Mason Stone is just pure trash.
I mean.. who just goes around kissing other people's necks and then gets mad at them for something that they did? Like- what the fuck?
When I saw Mason blaming that Jungkook kid, I got pissed off. He didn't have a right to even be pushing him against a wall..
At all.
If someone harassed me, I'd beat their ass until they couldn't see out of either eyes.
The thing that pissed me off even more was when he said that I wanted to "fuck the innocence out of him" before Mason did.
Who the fuck.. Who says that?
I'm not even gay anyways. What the fuck did he think? That I was trying to smash poor nerdy boy Jungkook? No. Especially not forcefully. Not like he was trying to do.
I walked into class and saw Jungkook reading his usual romance book, and I sat behind him. I wasn't sure whether or not to say anything to him or if I should act like I didn't do anything.
Jin smirked at me, and I furrowed my eyebrows as he wiggled his. "What the hell are you doing?" I mouthed soundlessly.
He bit his lip and smiled.
I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to my desk, finding it to be more amazing than Jin's weird faces or Yoongi and Hoseok talking about literally anything and everything.
It's official. Hoseok took my best friend.
I sighed and rested my head against the wall next to my desk. The principal stuck her head in the classroom door and scanned the room.
"Jungkook, Taehyung, come with me." She said. Jungkook lowered his book and looked up with a shocked face as I stood next to him.
"W-Why me?" He asked in fear.
It was so obvious that he had never been called to the front office before, and it was very amusing to watch him get all worked up.
"I- I didn't do anything, I swear-"
"Just come on." I grabbed onto his arm and pulled him up next to me, making him stand. He set his book onto his desk and sighed.
A smile came across my face as he brushed my hand away. He was obviously upset about going to the office, but I knew he wasn't in any trouble. If anything, she just wants to talk.
Jungkook pouted the whole way to the office and as we were in the office, waiting for Mason to come in as well. Mason walked in with bruises all over his face and a grimace as he looked down at me as I sat in a chair.
I tried to cover my chuckle, earning a glare from the principal, Mason, and even Jungkook.
"Okay. Jungkook, before you get upset, I just wanted to let you know that you're in here because we saw the tapes from the cameras in the hallway." The principal sighed. "It's quite obvious why the other two are in here." She sent a pointed glare in our direction.
I was sitting in between Jungkook and Mason, and I didn't know whether or not if I could hold myself away from beating him again as he stared Jungkook down like he was dead meat.
Jungkook was little in his chair. His eyes were planted onto the floor as he bit his lip. His cheeks were puffed up and his eyes looked soft and scared both at the same time.
He looked— .... I don't know.
I huffed and looked at the principal. "Look, first things first, I saw Mason pushing Jungkook against the wall. After that, I beat his ass. Can we go to class now?" I asked her.
She glared at me and scrunched up her nose. "I saw that from the video, Taehyung. Stay seated and listen to me, will you?" She clicked her pen in annoyance and sighed.
"Mason, you will have two days detention." She said as she looked at him. He glared harder at Jungkook and I stared at Mason more than ever. "Taehyung, you will have five days for initiating the fight. Mason didn't hit back, so.."
"I already know, Mrs. Price. Trust me." I said as I kept staring at Mason. He finally looked at me and grimaced as I sent him a death stare.
"Have a good day, boys. Stay out of trouble." She opened her door and smiled a little. "Jungkook, tell your mom I said hi." She said.
Jungkook smiled and waved at the principal. "Okay, Mrs. Price! Have a wonderful day."
Oh yeah. I forgot he's nerdy boy who gets all of the great attention and love from everyone.
How can someone be so cheerful?
We both were heading back to our first class in an awkward way. He was strolling along on the other side of the hallway as I walked on the other side with my hands in my pockets.
"Thank you," He suddenly spoke up.
I looked at him, but he was looking at his feet as he placed his hands behind his back. His eyes were darker than they were before, and his bright voice had disappeared, turning into a more low and softer one than before.
"Thank you for what you did." He smiled to the ground and looked up a bit more.
I stopped looking at him and stared at the wall. "Who said I did it for you?" I asked.
He shrugged and looked up at me, finally speaking to me instead of at me. "Nobody said that you did it for me. But you still did it." He said as he opened the door to our classroom.
A smile was planted into his face before he walked in, showing his brighter side. It was different than what he was just showing me.
My eyebrows drew closer together as I realized what had just happened.
Did he just fake a smile? I mean, he's got it all. Why does he have to fake happiness?
