the weight

She puts her phone to her ear and steps outside, her heart beats inside her chest. Before she came to the party, she told him that she was leaving, so why did he call her? Did something happen?
The wind blows, and causes her to shiver. The phone rings a few times, each time it restarted, it put her on edge. She felt uneasy, since when did her life become so complicated. There are so many questions that she needs to answer, and questions that she needs the answer to.
Suddenly she feels something around her shoulders, so she turns around to see Robin. She furrows her brows, completely confused as to why she would have followed her out into the balcony. They had just met, and they barely exchanged a conversation before she ran out. She wouldn't blame them for hating her for it.
She realizes that the phone had cycled through its rings and that she's leaving a message currently, "Sorry, Ryker. I didn't have my phone on... if you want me home, I'll come. Text me, or call me back when you get this."
She ends the call and stares at the streets below, the black-haired female standing right beside her. She has a jacket on, and she's staring off at the horizon. They stand in silence, something on both of their minds.
"How are you feeling, (Y/n)?" Robin speaks, catching the other female slightly off guard. "You look a bit conflicted."
"You... can tell?" she leans onto the railing and lets out a breath, pulling the fabric Robin gave her closer to her skin. "I'm just a little lost right now. Do you... know what Ace classified as lying?"
The woman's blue eyes bore into her before she looks away again, "He classifies a lie as a lie. Why? Have you been telling him something that isn't true?"
"No, but I fear... that if I don't tell him something, he'll think of me differently," she closes her eyes, why does she feel safe telling her this? Maybe she hopes that she'll tell him for her. "But I'm also scared that if I share it with him, he'll think of me differently. And... I don't know what to do."
"He'll understand if you don't feel comfortable telling him," Robin takes a deep breath before she continues, "Our group has secrets we don't tell. He has things he doesn't tell us... no matter how hard we try to convince him that he can trust us with anything. I'm not pressuring you, but tell me about Ryker."
"Ryker... he's... he was the love of my life," she straights out her back and swallows hard. "I believed that with my whole being... but now... I don't really know, I can't tell. It's like, ever since I met Ace... in person... something changed."
"It seems you've fallen into a love triangle," Robin chuckles and tilts her head. "Aren't you just the luckiest?"
"I don't want to be," she shakes her head. "And it just feels as if... the closer I get to one of them, the farther I get from the other. And it's tearing my heart apart."
