3-
A soon as I got back to the house, mom noticed that I was acting funny. I just told her that I was going somewhere with an old friend, but she gave me a look that indicated she knew I was lying. He's not a friend at all! (He's a boyfriend.)
I rummaged through my closet and found a decent dress, which was black with a hint of blue. Buuuut it had Fira's fur on it. Thanks to that, I spent at least twenty minutes picking red fur out of the silky fibers. After that, I made a mental note to keep the closet permanently Fira-proof.
There was a necklace that my Pokémon and I made out of some green and blue shards we found in Poké Pelago, as well as a few old Metal Coats. I figured that'd go nice with the color scheme, so I decided to wear that.
Not an hour later, Guzma and I were walking around Hau'oli City, enjoying being together for the first time in a while and the afternoon. It was obvious that he'd taken time to make himself look nice, as he had combed his usually wild hair. He was even dressed neatly, even though his clothes were casual.
"Come on! I want to take you somewhere." I let him drag me around the place, until we reach the Battle Buffet, which is in the Hau'oli Ciy Mall. We battled our hearts out, and took all the food we could eat... all while looking stylish.
People stared at us while we headed out. They all knew me as the champion, and they knew him as the island bad boy. Nobody would expect we'd be together, I guess. But he looked them right in the eyes, and held my hand, being as much of a gentleman as he could be.
As night fell, the cries of wild Pokémon quieted down a bit. A family of wild Rockruff sleepily walk towards their burrow, tired after the day. As for us, we walk slowly under the starlight. We head out of Hau'oli, and out onto Route 2. He doesn't look back as he passed his parents' house, focusing on me. I admire the stars, admire what's around me, as I never realized how beautiful it truly was during the day. He stops for a while, then sits on a rock under a palm tree. He motions for me to join him, so I do.
"You know, Gwen, I... really, really like you. Nah, scratch that- I love you. Sometimes I can be a little- okay, a lot- of an arse, but you put up with me. Never met a girl who could do that." He chuckles softly, then looks at me- this time, with a shade of red appearing on his face.
"My parents could be watching right now. I don't think they'd be proud of me. But I love you, Gwen, and I'm not afraid to show that I do." He leaned towards me, wrapping me in his arms. He leans in even closer, and kisses me. We go on for quite a while, until the cry of a wild Pikipek interrupts us.
He smiles, and takes me home using Charizard from his Ride Pager. I will never forget how, as he dropped me off at my front porch, he whispered, "Goodnight, love." And like a mysterious prince in the moonlight, disappeared into the darkness.
