The weekend was pretty uneventful, Cas and Dean hanging out with each other the entire time while Sam walked around with pink hair, occasionally showing up at the Novak house. In other words, the author can't be bothered writing the weekend.

So let's skip to Monday morning.

Dean drove Cas and Sam to school. Sam almost jumped out of the car, wanting to escape Destiel. They'd somehow managed to get closer if that was possible, never leaving each others side and always holding hands or hugging or something like that.

Sam ran away from the car, straight to his floral locker and saw Gabriel standing there, right on cue. He was casually leaning against Sam's locker, a note already taped there.

He watched as Sam slowed and walked up to him.

"You're late," Gabriel said and Sam shrugged. "How much do you remember?"

"Not everything," Sam said. "So we should keep this going. Gabriel." Sam smiled as Gabe smirked and winked, before running off. Sam laughed softly before grabbing the note off the locker.

'Well my dear pink moose, you know I have the soap for your hair.'

Sam just smiled while shaking his head. He walked off to his first class, science, knowing Gabriel wouldn't show up until right on the bell.

As he sat down in his seat, he wrote on the back of the note. 'Well, this pink moose wants his normal hair back. Besides, pink doesn't really match my eyes does it?'

Gabriel walked into the classroom late, just as had been done before. Sam held the note out for him to take as he passed, which Gabriel did with a smile. Sam watched him sit down at his own desk, reading the note before writing something back.

After class ended, Sam waited so Gabe would give him the note as he walked past. Gabe did, except he kinda just dropped it on Sam's head instead of passing it to him, ruffling Sam's hair as he did. Sam made an indignant noise to which Gabe laughed before leaving the room.

Sam opened the note. 'Well then, come and get it ;)' Weird, this was what he had written before, except not on this note. Maybe he had something planned.

Just as his memories were telling him to do, he went to the Novak's table at recess. Well, it was now the Novak's plus Dean and his friends.

"Heya Sammy," Dean said, seeing Sam there. Sam didn't reply, just walked over to Gabriel who was staring up at him. Sam looked into Gabe's golden eyes for a few moments before handing him the note. Except instead of leaving, he sat beside Gabe, wrapping an arm around him and resting his head on Gabe's shoulder. Gabe smiled softly at him, and everyone at the table went back to their usual talk. Gabe opened the note, which read, 'Fine by me ;)'

Gabe smirked and looked at Sam who was now smiling into his shoulder.

Let's just jump across the table to Destiel shall we? Coz it's their story too.

Dean had an arm around Cas's shoulder, Cas leaning into his side.

"You two are literally inseparable," Charlie said. "I haven't seen either of you not attached to the other today."

"We understand that Dean just came back from the dead, but really Cas," Balthazar said. "Over attached much?"

"Shut up," Cas said, leaning further against Dean. Dean chuckled and put his other arm around Cas.

"I almost lost him," Dean said. "Sure I almost lost my life, but Cas is more important. Never letting my bee go again."

"Awwww," Charlie said. "Now why can't all my gay ships be this canon?"

"How many of said gay ships have actually spoken?" Benny asked.

"Do you really want the list?"

"No. Forget I said anything."

"Too late. Johnlock, Destiel, Sabriel, Troyler, Phan, Sterek, Stony, Stucky..." Charlie continued listing every single gay ship she had. And those were only the ones that had spoken.

(I just discovered Stucky and it's consuming my life)

"You asked for it Benny," Dean said, laughing. Benny just gave him an exasperated look.

"I have a question," Anna said. "If they're reenacting things, why is Sam here?"

Dean looked over at Sam and Gabe. They looked peaceful.

"Who knows," Dean said. "Who cares? Whatever they're doing, it's working."

Cas just smirked. "His hair though."

"I know," Dean said, sniggering.

Sam seemingly sensed this and glared at them.

"Yeah, how'd you get pink hair?" Samandriel asked.

Silence from everyone. Because Samandriel shouldn't be able to tell it was pink.

"Oh my god," Anna said. "Our littlest brother has found his soulmate before us."

"What is the world coming to?" Balthazar asked.

"Wow you guys don't interrogate him about it," Gabe said, scowling.

"I agree with Gabe on this," Cas said. "Where's the interrogation?"

"It's coming," Anna said. "Give it a few moments."

Moments later, Lucifer appeared.

"Okay Alfie, who is it?" he asked.

"What the actual..." Dean started. "You know what, I don't even know anymore. Our family is weird Cas."

Cas smiled at that.

"It's..." Samandriel said slowly. "Adam."

"Wait, Adam Milligan?" Sam asked suddenly, and Samandriel nodded. "Huh."

"Why aren't you with him right now?" Anna asked.

"I...kinda freaked out and ran off," Samandriel said quietly.

"Aww our adorable little brother," Lucifer said, pulling Samandriel into a hug. "Don't be scared of the real world."

Suddenly Michael appeared, glaring at Lucifer. "I swear if you keep doing this, I'll—"

"You'll what?" Lucifer asked, smirking. Michael just rolled his eyes before dragging him away.

"That was odd," Castiel said.

"Yeah Lucifer seemed to be implying something," Anna said.

"We'll investigate that later," Balthazar said. "For now..." He pulled Samandriel up. "Go talk to this Adam person."

Samandriel gave him a scared look. Sam looked thoughtfully at him before also standing up and walking off. Gabe watched him go for a moment before running after him. It looked like he passed something to Sam before walking back.

"Why did he leave so suddenly?" Balthazar asked.

"He's friends with Adam," Dean said.

"Good, that means we have someone to trick Adam into—" Gabe started before Samandriel glared at him. "Fine. No pranking you two together. It works though."

Samandriel just sighed and sat back down.

Sam walked over to where Jo, Adam and Kevin were. "Hey Adam."

"No hello for us?" Kevin said. "Thanks."

"Adam, you met someone called Samandriel lately?" Sam asked. Adam looked up with wide eyes.

"I...yeah..."

"And?"

"He ran off!" Adam said. "He looked freaked out! What was I supposed to do?"

"What are we missing?" Jo asked.

"Adam and Alfie are soulmates," Sam said.

"Alfie?" Adam asked.

"Nickname," Sam said. "He regrets running off, go talk to him." Adam nodded, standing up to go talk to his soulmate.

"Well," Jo said. "Everyone's just so happy in this chapter, aren't they?"

"Yep," Sam said, sitting down in Adam's chair and reading the note Gabriel had passed him as he walked off.

'I don't know, maybe I'll make you give me something in return ;)'

Jo read the note over his shoulder. "You two are flirting through notes now? Just go love each other already."

"I...still can't remember everything," Sam said quietly.

"So? You obviously love him," Kevin said.

"But every time I'm near him, I can see something hidden behind his eyes, some sort of pain that I don't understand. And from something Castiel said, I know it's something I haven't remembered yet."

"Well you still have to reenact the actual meeting," Jo said. "Maybe something will happen then?"

"Hopefully," Sam muttered.

Now let's skip to lunch, where Dean and Cas escape from their group to be sappy together.

Dean and Cas walked to one of the quieter places in the school and sat down next to a tree.

"Hey Cas," Dean said, putting an arm around his angel. "I love you."

"You're never going to get tired of saying that are you?" Cas said with a smile.

"Never. You know what I like more though?"

"When I say it back."

Dean nodded.

"Love you too Dean," Cas said, leaning up to kiss his soulmate. Dean leaned down into the kiss before pulling away.

"Cas...what would you have done if I didn't wake up?"

"I don't know. I honestly couldn't imagine life without you."

"We are so sappy."

"I know right."

"You're sappier than this tree."

"This tree has no sap on it."

"Shh."

Cas laughed and buried his face into Dean's neck. "Hey, what are we going to do after we graduate this year?"

"Well you're going somewhere smart and fancy, and I'll follow."

"The college I want to go to is halfway across the country..."

"Like I said, I'll follow."

"Dean," Cas said, leaning back to look Dean in the eye. "You need to go to college too. And I'm pretty sure you don't want to go to the science one I'm trying for."

"I'll find another one near you," Dean said. "After I figure out what I'm even going to do..."

"You know cars pretty well," Cas said. "Maybe something along those lines? Or business? I don't know. It's your choice."

"I'll figure it out," Dean said. "For now, we're still in school."

"True," Cas said, leaning against Dean again.

"Oh Cas, I was meaning to ask you. What happened to Azazel? He looked like he had a broken nose."

"Yeah I punched him."

"What?"

"I punched the assbutt in that stupid face of his."

"Remind me to thank Meg for teaching you later."

Cas smiled and closed his eyes, enjoying the happiness in his life. Dean pulled him closer, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

Sam walked into the art room, his heart beating unusually fast. Gabriel was already sitting there, an empty seat beside him. Sam sat down in the empty seat. Gabriel watched him with hopeful eyes.

"Hi," Sam said. "I think we have in fact properly met, but anyway. I'm Sam Winchester."

Gabriel smiled brightly. "Gabriel, okay. They call me Gabriel."

"Nice to meet you Gabriel," Sam said. And that was all he managed to say before the memories came flooding in.

First it was every missing detail up until the moment just reenacted. Then it was going over to Gabriel's house for the soap, then pranking his siblings. Gabriel going over to Sam's house, getting to know each other. Sleeping in the same bed and waking up cuddling, then Gabriel checking him out in the morning.

Pranking each other at school the next day, Sam getting Gabriel a detention. Ditching class together, then Sam setting fire to the classroom to get Gabe out of detention. Going to a carnival and causing chaos. Sitting together on the ferris wheel and Sam looking down at Gabe as he realized he was falling for the Trickster.

Skipping school with Gabe only to find out the backstory of him and all his siblings. Finding out how Gabe was scared to lose anyone he got close to, and then admitting that they were soulmates.

Falling asleep in each others arms, to be woken up taped together by the Novak's. The flirting, their friends finding out. Pranking other people together, Sam starting to tease Gabriel. Gabe teasing Sam back and another war started, that ended up with them kissing against the side of Sam's house.

Sleep pranking, being cute with each other. Gabe letting Sam look through his sketchbook, the paintings they gave each other. More pranks, before they went out after school...they were in a candy shop, they didn't have money...so Sam crossed the road. And was hit by a car.

Sam came back to reality, to see Gabe giving him a quizzical look. Sam just stared for a few moments...before waving it off. He wanted to wait a bit longer before telling Gabe. He wanted to do something special for him.

Because Sam had remembered why Gabe always had that look in his eyes. That broken look of misery. Something bad always happened to the people Gabe were close to. Sam had promised he'd never leave him. Yet that was exactly what he had done.

But he was back now, and he needed to prove that to Gabe.

I just realized that my chapters are really long. And that the entire book is 62,000 words. Woah. That's almost as long as my actual novel thingy.

Anyway, happiness for everyone! Also means the near end of this story...which is sad :( But I have too many ideas for new fanfics, including a Sabriel idea I'm excited for.

Also, 13.5k reads. That number keeps going up faster, it's unbelievable. You guys are literally all the best, thank you all so much. And I'm glad I've managed to write a story that so many people enjoy :)
