21 - Grey?
So I had planned on dragging out the happiness before this chapter...but I'm having difficulty writing aimless fluff, so here's the feels.
"Okay, that's just creepy."
"I know right."
"They're graduating. This year."
"Yep."
Sam and Gabe had just happened upon the realization that their older brothers were in year 12, and would soon be doing their final exams. (Me with my brother...his graduation was this week)
"Who are we going to prank in school?" Gabe asked.
"Anna and Samandriel? You have a lot of siblings," Sam said.
"True," Gabe replied. "Also Jo, Kevin and Adam."
Sam nodded in agreement. "That's so weird though, we'll still be here and they'll be off in college and things like that."
"Well half my brothers already are, so..."
"Is Lucifer even in college?"
"No, he just randomly appears beside people to make Satan jokes. Like that is literally all he does with his life."
"Excuse me, I rule hell too," Lucifer said.
Gabriel rolled his eyes as Sam jumped back.
"Luci, how did you get into the school?"
"I flew."
"Seriously brother, stop with the fourth wall," Michael said, literally appearing next to Lucifer and grabbing him. He dragged Lucifer away leaving Sam and Gabe in confusion.
"Um..." Sam said.
Gabe just shrugged. "We're a weird family. I mean apparently our dad is god and our mom is a fangirl. I don't even know."
Sam just shrugged, and they walked off to their next class, art because it is needed as part of the upcoming tragedy.
They were getting their canvas's back, since it'd been marked and all that stuff. Gabriel ran over to grab his, and sat beside Sam after getting both of theirs.
Gabriel passed both to Sam. "I made it for you," he said, blushing slightly. Sam looked down at the canvas Gabe had painted and immediately smiled.
It was a mix of pictures all painted together with bright colours. Except they were of all the pranks they had done up until they got together.
"Gabe this is amazing," Sam said, smiling up at Gabriel. Gabriel smiled back. Sam looked down at the other canvas, the pair of golden wings he had painted, and passed it to Gabriel. "You can have mine."
"Are you sure Sammy? I mean, this is amazing, you really should keep it."
"Seriously, Gabe, take it. They're your wings anyway."
Gabriel smiled and took the painting, before pulling Sam into a hug. Sam chuckled and ruffled up the shorter ones hair. Gabe pulled away and pouted while Sam just laughed.
~~ Dean looked over to where Meg and Castiel were talking. And glared. Hard.
"Dean," Charlie said. "It's okay, they're just friends."
"How do you know?"
"I can tell," Charlie said. "Seriously, Cas is your soulmate, he wouldn't do anything to you."
"Oh really? Why is he becoming distant then?"
"He's not. You've literally been with each other every single moment today except for now."
"...oh."
"Isn't Cas gay anyway brother?" Benny asked.
"Bi," Dean said. "Probably more gay than straight, but still bi."
"Wow, everyone's bi in this story," Charlie said, rolling her eyes.
"You and Sam aren't," Garth pointed out.
"I thought Sam was bi."
"Mr Fizzles can see the truth," Garth said, holding up puppet.
Ash rolled his eyes, while still looking at his laptop screen. He was typing stuff. As always.
Cas walked over to them then, leaving Meg alone and watching them carefully.
"What was so important that you just left suddenly?" Dean asked him.
"Meg wanted to talk to me," Cas said, shrugging. "It's sorted out now."
"Why did she want to talk to you?"
"Just weird girl stuff."
Dean narrowed his eyes and glared down at his food.
"Hey Dean, we're graduating soon," Cas said suddenly and Dean looked up in surprise.
"We are, aren't we?" Benny said. "Cool."
"Well I already failed last year," Dean said. "I wouldn't be surprised if I had to do year 12 a third time."
"No, I'm going to make sure you pass," Cas said determinedly. "I'll force you to study if I have to."
"Oh hell no," Dean said but Cas just bitch faced him and Dean sighed. "Fine." Cas smiled and hugged Dean. Dean sighed again but with a small smile this time.
~~
Gabriel smirked as he looked around the corner. Sam was walking down the hall, looking innocent as hell.
As Sam went to turn the corner, Gabe jumped onto his back, wrapping his legs around Sam's waist and his arms around his neck.
Sam jumped in surprise, then relaxed when he realized it was Gabriel.
"Hey Gabe," he said, smiling.
"Heya Samsquatch," Gabriel said, smirking evilly. He reached into the back of Sam's shirt and poured the contents of the packet he had been holding down. Then he jumped off Sam's back and watched.
First Sam was confused. "What did you just put down my shirt?"
"A little something known as itching powder," Gabe said, smirking. Sam went pale and deadly still.
"You didn't."
"Yeah, I did."
"You suck."
"Woah that escalated Sammy."
Sam rolled his eyes and started itching himself. Because that's what itching powder does. "Ugh I'm going to go change," Sam said. He started walking, and Gabriel innocently followed him. "Perv."
"Only when it comes to you Samantha."
Sam rolled his eyes and walked to his locker, all the while getting increasingly itchier and jumpier. By the time they got there he was writhing in his shirt while Gabe just watched and laughed.
"You are going to pay for this," Sam muttered darkly as he got a spare change of clothes from his locker.
"Why do you even have spare clothes?" Gabe asked.
"I'm dating the Trickster. What did you expect?"
"Good point."
Again, Gabe followed Sam to the bathroom. There was no one in there except them.
"Gabe you're still being a pervert."
"Not my fault."
"But it really is."
"Shhh," Gabe said, muffling Sam's face with his hand. Sam just laughed and stepped away from Gabe. While taking his shirt off.
Three seconds was how long Gabe lasted until he was dying inside. Coz you know, seeing Sam Winchester shirtless in front of you was not just something you passed off easily.
Sam smirked as he saw Gabe's reaction, and then walked over to him. He put a hand under Gabe's chin to tilt his head up, as if to kiss him, then put his own shirt over Gabe's head. The one still filled with itching powder.
Gabe spluttered and made a rush of movements to get the shirt off. But there was already damage done.
"Dammit Sammy," Gabe said as he begun itching his arms. Sam just shrugged and smirked, going over to where the showers were to properly wash off the rest.
~~
Sabriel and Destiel went down to the mall after school, for lack of anything else to do. Sam and Gabe had successfully gotten all the itching powder off, and were planning to use it against Dean and Cas at some point later in the day.
When they got to the mall, Sam and Gabe ran off to Chuck knows where, leaving Dean and Cas alone.
"What shall we do?" Cas asked Dean.
"Wanna go get coffee or something?" Dean asked and Cas nodded. They walked over to some random coffee shop and ordered some type of drinkable substance.
"Hey Cas," Dean said. "Do you ever get that feeling like something bad is about to happen?"
"What do you mean?" Cas asked, as they sat down at a table.
"Like, I just feel like there's something wrong. Like in a season finale of a tv show."
"Well I don't feel anything, so everything's probably fine."
"Yeah but still..."
"Dean. Come on. We're fine."
Dean sighed and completely forgot the conversation. "Cas, what are you going to do after graduation?"
Cas shrugged. "Find a college, study something, get some sort of degree and a job, then settle down somewhere nice."
"So an apple pie life huh," Dean said, smiling. "Sounds awesome."
"How about you?"
"Cas I'm going to live with you. Duh."
"Oh right," Cas said sheepishly, smiling shyly. Dean smiled back at his adorable little angel. He reached across the table and pulled Cas towards him, pressing their lips together.
Someone in the shop shouted out some insults to them, but Dean just flipped them off while still kissing Cas. Cas chuckled as he pulled away, then grabbed Dean's hand and pulled him out of the shop.
They ran off through the mall, going into and terrorising all the shops. At one point Dean saw something, a blue bracelet with a charm on it. The charm was a pair of black wings, and Dean bought it and gave it to Cas.
"Blue like your eyes, black like your wings," Dean said as he put it around Cas's wrist.
"Dean I don't have wings," Cas said.
"Oh but you do angel," Dean said, smiling sweetly. Cas smiled and blushed slightly. Dean leaned in to kiss him quickly and they continued terrorising the shops.
~~
"My god Gabe, how much candy do you need?" Sam asked incredulously.
"All of it," Gabe replied. They were in a candy shop because where else would you find Gabriel?
"Do either of us even have money with us?" Sam asked.
Gabe stopped at that, thinking for a moment. He pulled out his phone and sent a quick text. "Cassie will give us money," he said.
Sam just laughed and shook his head. "You wait here, I'll go get the money. Where are they?"
"They're in that bookstore across the road," Gabe said after texting Cas. Sam nodded and went to find their brothers.
Gabe really shouldn't have let Sam go. Because Dean's bad feeling was right. And if Gabe hadn't gotten Sam to get money, they'd all be fine.
But of course, they weren't.
Gabriel was standing in the middle of the candy shop, admiring some of the new stuff, when everything in his vision changed.
Everything turned back to grey.

Sorry for the shortness of this. But I promised to update both books by the end of the weekend and it's currently 10 pm on Sunday. Not to mention my laptop has 19% left. But I wasn't gonna just go back on that promise, because then I'd never get around to writing again. Sorry for not updating in two weeks either, been having a bit of a hard time.
Anyway, I'm back now, and I won't type much because I need to write the update for Hunter's Angel too.
Sorry for the feels...I could've made it worse, I was going to, but I didn't have the heart to write it that way...but yeah...sorry :(
Oh and 4.5k reads, :O you guys are awesome. Here, have a mini Castiel to sit on your shoulder *hands out mini Castiel's*
