teases & dates PT 2
Ivanna's eyes were wide as if she was a child taking a tour in a candy store. Yes, Asgard is very beautiful and the people here were lovely. It was better than staying in her apartment all day watching TV; so she was happy that Loki wanted to invite her to this ball that the Asgardian people were having. Also, the fact that people knew about her and of her arrival here in Asgard is what made her feel unstoppable. She always dreamt of coming to this realm, and it was a dream that came true.
Heimdall, Thor, and Loki showed her around and took Ivanna to the castle. And the moment they stepped in the women of Asgard took her away from Loki so they could get her ready.
"Please do not hurt her," Loki insisted protectively to the Asgardian women who helped around the castle--they didn't talk much either.
"I'm okay. I'll see you in a little bit," Ivanna shot Loki a smile before she was guided elsewhere to another part of the castle.
Loki watched her disappear once they turned the corner. He stuck his hands in his pockets and sighed with his shoulders following with. It wasn't like he didn't want her to get ready, but he just wanted to spend more time with her.
"You must really like her," Thor says deciding to break the tension in the air, because they could all feel it.
Loki turned around with his eyebrows raised, "Come again?"
"You heard me Loki, don't be foolish," Thor monotonously responded with one of those 'really' glances.
"I didn't hear you actually. Now what did you say?" Loki challenged his brother, pressing the issue more.
Thor looked at Heimdall then back to Loki, deciding not to repeat himself, "Nothing nevermind."
"Good," Loki fake smiled. "Now I'm going to get ready. Leave me alone. Stay out of my way. And all will be good," and with the snap of his fingers he disappeared.
Loki popped in his room and finally let out a deep breath that he has been holding for the past twenty minutes now. He was frustrated and confused, indeed he was. As much as he didn't want to admit it Loki knew that he felt something for Ivanna. But he didn't know exactly what it was and how to use it properly without casing trouble.
"What does the term 'liking' even mean?" Loki asked himself as he paced back and forth in his room with his hair in between his fingers. "Does she even like me back? Well, I don't know Loki. You don't even know what a date means and yet you decide to take her out on one--ug, the stupid you are."
He was frazzled at the moment and he knew that he was going to be running out of time soon and he didn't want to seem flustered when he meets up with Ivanna. Loki bets that she is getting all dolled up and beautiful for this date; and here he is panicking like a fool.
"Keep your calm Loki, keep your calm," Loki went to his wardrobe room to pick something out. Yes, dark green was his thing and he knew that he looked good in it but tonight he wanted to look a little different--but a good kind of different.
He allowed the water to fall down on him as he started to think about how this night was going to go. The thing about Loki that not a lot of people knew about is that he overthinks way too much. Just because he is the God of Mischief and he can act on impulse doesn't mean that it's like that all the time. There are moments were his mind runs a hundred miles an hour that his mentality almost crashes. He tries to not overthink as much as he used to, but it's a working process.
Once Loki was washed up he wrapped a black towel around his waist and stepped out of his bathroom. Going over to his bed he looked at the suit he picked out and smiled a little bit. It was an all black suit with dark green trims mixed with gold. Instead of it being more of a warrior combat outfit lile usual, it was more Midgardian-ish and subtle. With ease he used his magic to the put the suit on himself and the popped the golden shoes on his feet to set off the attire. He then walked over to the mirror to fix his luscious long hair; soft ringlets of curls fell down to his shoulders beautifully, making him look like the sexy God that he knew he was.
He believed that it was time to be confident again. Loki didn't have much luck with women because they all thought that he was an asshole for all he has done--in which he is one and that is true but this was different. This certain woman that he is going to be by his side tonight isn't like some other woman he has encountered before. She was adorable, sassy, and words couldn't describe how beautiful he thinks she is. And the fact that she is going to be his date excites him even more.
Time passed and the ball was now in place. All the Asgardians were there looking lovely as ever, drinking drinks and having a good time. He didn't know where Thor or Heimdall was. So he was by himself with a room full of people who thought low of him, and that's just how it was.
Seeing no signs of Ivanna, he decided that he was take a seat in the corner of the ball. He sipped on a drink and just let time pass by. But suddenly, he got this tingly feeling in his stomach and he didn't completely know why; but all he knew is that something good was coming his way, and he didn't get that type of feeling very often.
The Asgardians were shocked seeing the powerful woman strut through the ball. Everybody turned her way and was in awe by her beauty. The demigoddess wore a sheer sandy colored dress that had glitter all over it. Every piece of the fabric fitted her perfectly, making her look so stunning on every level there is. The bottom of her dress split in half, allowing her long pretty brown legs be shown off with pride, heels clicking with every step she took. Hair was slicked back into a very pretty low bun with beige clips on the side to keep her flyaways down. The look in her eyes and the brightness of her smile lit up the place. All she was doing was walking and she had the whole entire room staring at her.
"My goodness," Loki stood up to his feet when he realized that she was walking his way. He didn't know if it was her or the drink but he legs were getting very wobbly, but he stood tall and smiled at Ivanna when she finally approach. "W-Wow, you look phenomenal," his gawked at her and was just stunned. How could one look so beautiful? He thought to himself in admiration.
"Thank you. And I see you look extremely extremely good looking tonight sir Loki," Ivanna was a charmer and the compliment she just gave him made his cheeks heat up. She liked the suit on him and how his hair always seemed to look perfect no matter what. The way his shoulders were built and the longness of his legs attracted her to beyond means. Not too mention that his elegant fingers were decorated with golden and black rings which made her knees buckle from underneath her. Everything about him was so dreamy, and she wonders, how did I get so lucky with this?
"Don't be too formal. We're going to get to know each other very soon and we'll be pass that stage formalities," Loki insisted swaying back and forth between his heels and the balls of his feet.
"Whatever you say," she sings with a polite smile.
"Here, take a seat," Loki moved to the side and pulled out a chair for her. His hands were sweating really bad as he gripped the back of the chair. But he allowed for her to sit and he took a seat close to her.
"This isn't like most parties," Ivanna noted as she looked around.
"Well this isn't much of a party. This is more formal and subtle," he tells her unbuttoning his jacket. "Asgardian parties are a little bit more top notch."
"Oh okay. Well, back on Earth their parties are really crazy," she explains to him, quietly thanking the server who gave them drinks.
"How do you even manage down there?" Loki asks twisting the ring on his index finger.
"Well, I don't work, I don't get sick, and I don't have to worry about this thing called 'periods' so I'm doing okay," Ivanna chriped with a nervous chuckle.
Loki tilted his head a little bit, "What is a period?"
"Not sure, but I heard it's pretty gruesome so I don't wanna talk about it," she waved it off.
"Fair enough," he nods.
"My job is to make sure the Earth doesn't die," she then tells him with a prideful smile.
"Sounds like a big responsibility," Loki suggested.
"It is, especially when humans are making technology more advanced which makes it kinda hard to make sure the air doesn't get polluted, the seas aren't being trashed, and I kinda also have to worry about Gods coming in and trying to invade the planet too," she adds sipping her drink while giving him the side-eye.
Loki rolled his lips in and snapped his fingers, guilt filling up in his stomach, "That..that too."
"I'm just showing love, no hard feelings Loki," she assures him with a small giggle as she reached over to touch his hand softly. "I know you have changed since then and I feel as though people shouldn't keep that on you forever. We are all not perfect, we all have our own flaws."
Loki literally wanted grab her cute face and crash his lips onto hers, but he reframed, and just smiled, "You're the only person who has ever said that to me," he sighs happily, it really meant a lot to him.
Ivanna smiled back at him, "It's all from the heart."
"I'm sorry, but where the hell have you been all this time?" He chuckles unbelievably as he adjusted himself in his seat to face her more She cover her face shyly as she giggled, and he just grinned at her. "Oh c'mon, don't be bashful."
"I keep it on the lowkey," Ivanna jested as she sent him a very slow overdramatic wink. But she stopped smiling when he wasn't laughing with her. "What? That was funny."
"I didn't get it," he blunts says back.
"Ug," she groans slapping her forehead.
"Just kidding, I did," he jokes, watching how her head popped up and her eyes sparkled.
"Really?" She asks enthusiastically.
"No," he immediately deadpanned.
"Rude," she huffs taking her hand back and crossing her arms over her chest.
Loki wasn't going to let that slide. So he used his magic to pull her chair closer to his so that there was no room between them. He noticed how her body language changed drastically now that they were closer, and how her bottom lip was now in between her teeth, "You're something else, ya know?"
A frisson ran down Ivanna's spine at the feeling of his breath against her skin. She loved the hell out of it and it made her a bit weak. Also, she kinda forgot that he had said something to her. Now she has to act cool and keep it calm, "And should I take that as a compliment from a God like you?" She replied back with a flirty look in her eyes.
"You should, I don't give compliments out like that," Loki says to her smokily.
"I guess I am a very special lady then," Ivanna she states with a hum, feeling confident as ever.
"Indeed you are," Loki took her hand and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it, never losing eye contact and watching her face heat up with emotion; which made him a very happy man.
"Pppppsssstttt," is what made the two pull away and turn around to see Thor trying hard not to act suspicious, but he was failing horribly. Once he saw that Ivanna was looking at him too he put a hand on the side of his mouth that faced Loki, beginning to whisper yell. "Hey brother, you are doing great!"
"Does he know that I can still hear him?" Ivanna asked Loki with a brow raised.
"Just pretend you don't see him," Loki mumbles to her.
"It's kinda hard not to," she mutters back to him.
Loki turned to Thor and gave him a tight slipped smile along with a thumbs up, "Thanks brother."
"Have fun--but not too much fun," he then sent Loki a wink before he quickly walked away.
"And people say that you're adopted?" Ivanna questioned with a little laugh.
"Thankfully we are. I wouldn't know how to live if I acted and looked like him," Loki rolled his eyes.
"I heard that!" Thor had shouted from across the room.
"You were supposed to!" Loki yelled back then shook his head.
"Mischievous and funny? I think I have a winner here," Ivanna purred as she placed her hand on the nape of his neck so she could play with the strands of hair at the back of his head.
"Oh stop it," Loki began to blush really hard and tried not to smile even harder but it was super hard.
"What? Never had attention like this before?" She asks licking her lips and moving her hand down his shoulder to lace their fingers together.
"Um..no not really to be ug--brutally honest with you," Loki stammered over his words as he immediately looked down to see their fingers crossed, and it made his heart pound.
"How cute," Ivanna chuckles, then leaning to whisper in his ear. "I could give you all the attention in the world and show you something very magicial," she sexily tells him, but giggles as she proceeds to say. "But let's not get too comfortable..we still have to get to know each other first so we can take this," she pointed between them. "To another level, right baby?"
"Y-Y-Yeah, of course," Loki stuttered as his body became oddly hot and pants grew a bit tight on him. What the hell is she doing to me?
"Now, come on and let's dance," Ivanna pulled away from him and stood up to her feet, tugging on his arm to get him up too.
But Loki shook his head, "I don't think--,"
"No excuses, get up," she ordered with a serious tone in her voice.
As much as Loki didn't want to dance to this slow boring instrumental music, he did anyway only because it was with Ivanna and it was his chance to get close with her. She wrapped her arms around his neck with no hesitation and he cautiously placed his hands on her adorable hips, careful of his hands and where he placed them because he didn't want to be too much. But the way she closed the gap between them and rested her hand on his chest is what made everything okay.
"I know it's hard," Ivanna was in his mind, and was speaking to him with her thoughts. "I know you're trying hard to not lose your mind. But trust me, you won't."
"And how could you be so sure of that?" Loki asked her insecurely in his mind, squeezing her hips tighter out of anxiety.
"Because I know you are stronger than what you may seem Loki," Ivanna tells him with nothing but her sweet and caring tone ringing through his ears and mind.
There was nothing he could say after that. He simply held the woman closely, afraid that she was going to slip away; and that was the last thing he wanted to happen.
