There weren't too many people hanging around in the park despite the weather being perfect for a walk. Chanyeol and Soojin walked next to each other down the path through the park.

"So, tell me about your friendship with Jun-Oh," Chanyeol started the conversation.

   "Well," Soojin began, smiling from nostalgia, "we met in sixth grade through this group of people that we both hung out with. After that group had broken up a bit, we both found new people to hang out with. We just started getting closer and she eventually sat at our lunch table." Soojin looked down at her yellow shoes. "Going into high school, Jun-Oh switched schools. Though, we seemed to grow even closer, if that was even possible." She chuckled and looked back up at Chanyeol. "We're the kind of friends that scream at each other one minute, then the next we're feeding each other peach rings."

   "Cute," he commented. "I'm glad you two stayed together. I remember switching schools when I was younger and never talking to my old friends again." Chanyeol pressed his lips together for a second. "But it also brought me here, and meeting the people I have."

   "That's true. And maybe sometime you'll run into your old friends." Soojin shrugged as she took a drink.

   "You and Jun-Oh seem like a great pair of friends."

   "Oh, yeah we are." A smile surfaced again on Soojin's face. "What about you and Kyungsoo?"

   Chanyeol sighed. "Oh boy, where to start with that guy... When I started to work at Universe Cafe, I was new in town so I didn't know anyone. I applied for Universe Cafe because it was just opening up. That's where I met all the friends I have now. Three of them quit, but I still keep in touch with them. Lay..." Chanyeol paused with a look of confusion. "He did work there, and I'm pretty sure he still does? He used to work full time, but then disappeared for a bit. Now he comes in to hang around all the time and helps out the customers."

   "Lay seems like a very special person," Soojin laughed.

   "No kidding," Chanyeol agreed. "I hang out with Kyungsoo the most because we usually get a lot of the same shifts and positions. He used to be a lot more spunky and outgoing—"

   "Chanyeol?" someone called from behind.

   Chanyeol and Soojin turned around to see a rather tall guy walking up to them.

   "Kris? What's up?" Chanyeol high-fived the guy gave him a warm smile.

   Kris laughed. "Hey, funny running into you."

   "This is Kris. He used to work at Universe," Chanyeol introduced him to Soojin.

   "Nice to meet you," Soojin told Kris. "I'm Soojin."

   "So..." Kris nudged Chanyeol with his elbow and tilted his head to Soojin. "Is this a new girlfriend or something?" Kris chuckled.

   Chanyeol laughed in return. "A friend. We're working together to set Kyungsoo up with this girl she's friends with."

   Kris nodded. "Interesting. Well, have fun. I hope you get the little devil with this mystery girl."

   "See you around man." Chanyeol waved 'bye' to the former Universe Cafe employee as he walked away.

   Soojin watched Kris as he left. "I swear, what do you put in your coffee because everyone associated with Universe Cafe is attractive?"

   Chanyeol raised an eyebrow, looking from Soojin to Kris. "What? Kris?" Chanyeol scoffed. "I'm way cuter."

   "Well, you have been there longer." Soojin laughed.

   Chanyeol smirked. "Was that you agreeing with my statement?"

   Soojin stopped laughing when she realized that she did. She coughed and then took a drink of her frappuccino. "Uh, so what were we talking about before Kris showed up?"

Chanyeol's smile lingered while watching Soojin glue her eyes to the path. "About how Kyungsoo and I became friends. He went through a hard time and three people ended up leaving Universe. I stayed by his side through it, but he's still kind of affected."

   "I'm sorry to hear that," Soojin put in.

   "Things happen and it's over now. Kyungsoo puts trust in me which is all I can ask for, especially since he has issues with giving it away nowadays. That might also be why he isn't trying very hard to talk to Jun-Oh." Chanyeol ran a hand through his hair.

   Soojin looked up at Chanyeol. "We can help him get past it."
