"Okay, how about her?" She showed him a Tinder profile of a pretty short-haired brunette smiling at the camera, a calico perched on each shoulder. "She's a straight eight out of ten."

Sasuke studied the picture for a moment, chewing, before swallowing his bite and stating bluntly, "I don't like her hair."

"Whaaat?" Sakura whined, slouching over the side of the couch. "Come oooon, Sasuke, you need to get a date! Why are you so damn picky with girls, anyway?"

"I don't see the point in putting much value in outward appearances." He rose an eyebrow as he took another bite of pizza. "Why does it bother you so much?"

"Because if I have to hear Naruto whining to you about double dates with Hinata one more time, I think I might actually lose it." She rolled her eyes with a huff, grabbing her own slice. "Besides, I'm worried about you; all you do is stay in and research, you need to get out and have fun!"

"I don't like crowds of people," he reminded with a frown. "There's nothing that doesn't amuse me in the apartment."

"And that's the problem," Sakura emphasized. "You need to have fun. Relax a little! We just finished the semester, and now we get to relax!"

"I need to keep up my streak in League of Legends," he replied, turning his attention to the pizza.

"Sasuke," she said, exasperated. "Yesterday Naruto asked if you wanted to go to the mall and you said no."

"Because Hinata is going," he pointed out irritably. "And if Hinata is there, the idiot gets too mushy and disgustingly PDA."

Sakura opened her mouth for a moment to rebut, but after a moment closed it. "You know what, that's fair. Ugh, they're so sappy."

He made a noise of agreement, and the two eased into silence again, the commercials having ended and the game show returning.

Sakura swiped through Tinder again and found a profile, her eyes lighting up. "Aha! What about her? I think she's your type."

He glanced over to see the picture of a fun-looking blonde with wide brown eyes, caught mid-laughter as someone offscreen splashed her with water.

"I don't like her eyes," he stated.

Sakura groaned loudly in frustration. "What's it gonna take to get you out and about?"

"You don't even know my type, first off," he replied without even glancing her way. "Second, is it so hard to assume that I don't have time for girls?"

"Okay Mister Heartbreaker, if they aren't your type, then what is?" She demanded, leaning forward on the couch.

Sasuke glanced up, set his pizza slice down, and suddenly grew shy.

Sakura stilled at the eye contact, her own face blooming with red as her eyes grew wide. "W- wh- huh--?"

"When I said they weren't my type, I meant I only have one type," he explained quietly, a flustered frown on his face as he looked away. "So if you want me to get out, you'll have to hook me up with someone who happens to meet my standards."

Sakura blinked as his hand receded, once, twice. Then her eyes softened, and she reached out to grab it.

"Is this your way of asking me on a date?" She asked.

"What do you think?" Sasuke grumbled, looking away with a brighter blush.

"Then tomorrow at the park," she shyly offered. "F- for a picnic."

He nodded, suddenly at a loss for words. The weight of her hand in his suddenly was more pronounced, and tentatively, he gave it a squeeze, the warmth seeping into his whole body and leaving him feeling content.
