Appearance: A Japanese girl with almond-shaped chocolate eyes and long black hair that is either always in a messy bun or messy braid. If seen wearing anything else, it's theatre makeup. Her Phantom Thief outfit is a fitted tux with white fingerless gloves and a cape that is black on the outside and red inside, also wearing a Phantom Mask that has a golden cracked lining.
Personality: A sweet girl...once you get to know her. Not gonna lie, she can come off as sly and deceptive in the beginning. Especially considering Makoto has nothing nice to say about her. But she is loyal in everything she puts in.
Powers: Her Persona is Erik, the titular character from 'The Phantom of the Opera'. This Persona is more flashy in its attacks, strong in nuclear and electricity, while weak against flames and wind attacks. One of her first abilities is 'Diversion', in which she literally spends around 5 turns distracting the enemies with a crazy performance, letting the Thieves attack with no resistance.
Crush: Makoto Nijima is her Queen, which is funny because the other hates her guts for a good while.
Flaws: She has a habit of losing focus easily, and can hold a grudge for a really long time. She is also not against cursing.
Background: Saito is the president of the Shujin Academy Theatre Club, which means that she is good at set design, acting, and making up stories and excuses on the fly. It is later revealed that most of her shows while being sold out, are hardly making any money because the school is embezzling it all. That's why Kobayakowa lets her get away with so much: she's the school's little moneymaker and has no idea. She comes into the story a little after the Hawaii trip.
Anything else?: She is also part of a community service group known as "Pride United", an LGBTQ+ support group that works to help improve the image of the community through noble and positive acts. This is where she and a questioning Ryuji meet, thus marking the beginning of a beautiful, chaotic friendship.
