"What just happened," Junior thought as he stepped out into the crowded hallway. The feeling on Dolph's hand in his still lingered there, making him extremely giddy. He made his way to science class with a goofy grin on his face.

"Hey, Space Kid."

The freshman glanced back over his shoulder. "Oh, hey Max."

Max casually fell into step beside him. "What's with the smile? Something happen?"

His smile only grew wider. "Dolph held my hand for a few seconds. Well, not exactly, but-"

"Yeah yeah, I get the point," the jaded teen replied, cracking a small smile. "Anything else happen?"

"He said he had a surprise for me."

"Oh?" Max bit his lip, trying not to give too much away. "That's interesting."

"I know, right?" Neil Jr. was vibrating with excitement. "Do you think he likes me?"

"Kid... I know he does," the ravenet murmured, hoping he got the hint.

Of course, he didn't.

"Thanks for the encouragement, Max!" he called out, walking into his classroom. Max forced a smile and watched him go. Once the brunet was out of sight, he growled in frustration. "God dammit, why did I choose to help oblivious idiots?"

"Says a once oblivious idiot."

He sighed irritably. "Shut the fuck up Nikki."

She laughed as she passed him. "Look at the bright side, Dolph's painting the alley in two days, and hopefully showing Junior the day after. We've done our part. They'll be dating in no time!"

"They better be," he muttered, following her. "'Cause if they don't, I'm gonna make them."
