True Light
Requester: Zayachu15, Prompt: the SRS meets up with Galaxynyan who needs help with his new friend Gloien, who is having a traumatic flashback and dealing with new experiences on earth, Notes: Galaxynyan and Gloien belong to the requester, happens during TA 4: Son of Dimensions
"Thanks for coming here," Galaxynyan told Keita as he met up with the group in front of a portal.
"Hey, it's no problem," the demon-Youkai hybrid replied. "Your mom helped us, so it's time to return the favor."
"What happened here, though? It stinks of multiversal energy like it's being compressed," Dylan Kwon asked.
"Well, some universes have been erased..." Galaxynyan nervously explained.
"What?!" Natsume's eyes widened.
"Geez, we go deal with finding lost souls for a FEW DAYS, and in said few days this happens?" Shirou groaned. "I wish we could get a break."
"Trouble magnets never go on vacation, it seems," Naruto exhaled as he wrinkled his nose. "But it does feel strange here."
"No doubt about that," Equestro sighed.
"But that's not why you called us here, right?" Satoshi cut in. "Well, aside from the debris we can see. Looks like an earthquake?"
"Probably similar to the First and Third Reboots," Daisuke offered. "But you were saying, Galaxynyan.
"Yeah, it's more to a new friend of ours. We thought you guys could help us out with him. He's traumatized from past experiences, and right now, he's... having a panic attack," Galaxynyan seemed hesitant to say the last sentence.
"A panic attack is never good," Duri frowned.
"Those usually end badly," Sayaka agreed.
"So how do we do this?" Tomoki asked. "Keita-nii?"
The half-blind male mulled over it before he said, "First of all, the humans and demon-human hybrids should go check around and help out anyone who may seem disoriented. I think that Yuujin and Dukun can take it from there?"
Dukun nodded, "Sure."
Yuujin agreed to it too, "I think that I'll be able to deal with that."
"Great. Jibanyan, can I put you in charge of caring for the kid Youkai?" he turned to his partner, who nodded, "Of course, nya!"
"Alright, you're assigned there with the other Youkai, CGs... Well, you get the point," he said.
"Of course, nya!"
"And as for Duri and Sayaka-nee, can I ask you to help out with the kid Galaxynyan talked about?"
"You got it," the bespectacled Korean nodded, while Sayaka smiled as she said, "You can count on us!"
"Us demons will work on detecting and stabilizing the energy here if we can. Koushirou-nii, are the programs working?" he asked the main leader of the analysis department.
"Yeah," the red-haired looked up from his laptop. "I should have the results soon."
"Great. That'll give us time to help out Yuujin's department. Also, we need those who can fly. They will take to the skies to check on the city. Try to help whoever you can."
"Alright then," Akame/Boboiboy gave him the thumbs up.
"Let's go then. Time is running, and the race is against the clock when it comes to rescues."
They then dispersed, and Galaxynyan led the two psychologists to where Gloien was.
He was breathing heavily, and even though Lilo and Stitch were trying their hardest to help him, it was failing, seeing how terrified he was.
Duri's eyes softened. He knew what it was like to suffer and feel so alone in a place so different from home, wherever that was for him. It just hurt so much seeing a fellow fictioner going through pain.
Seeing this, without any hesitation, Sayaka strode over, and kneeled in front of them, "Hi there. Can I try to help?"
Seeing what she was doing, Duri joined her and gave a soft smile towards Gloien as he said, "We don't want to hurt you. We're here to talk to you."
"T-Talk?" Gloien blinked owlishly.
"Yeah! I'm Maizono Sayaka, but you can call me Sayaka. This is Cha Duri, and he's my fellow counselor. If you'll let us help, we'll try our best to help you."
Stitch seemed a bit distrusting of them, but Lilo asked, "Will he get better?"
"As long as he has the will to try. But I'm sure he does have it, so it'll be fine," Duri ruffled her hair slightly.
"Okay then. Stitch, we should try to help out too," she told her friend, who nodded before they left, even though Stitch still growled a bit at Sayaka.
She waved them off cheerfully despite that, before she turned to Gloien, saying, "You're not used to any of this, are you?"
Taken aback by her bluntness, Gloien shakily nodded.
"I mean, I get you're scared, and honestly, I am too," Sayaka admitted. "I just don't show it. I don't want to worry anyone. I have done things I am not proud of, and sometimes they just come back to me at night, making me wonder why I was given a second chance at life."
Upon seeing his confused look, Duri quickly explained, "She was killed when a plan to kill someone backfired horribly, but then was revived a few years back."
"I was not a good person, but you know what?" Sayaka told him. "I didn't give up. I treasured the second chance and studied psychology, getting my degree and becoming someone others can find comfort in. I'm still far away from repenting, but at least I can make peace with my trauma. You should too. It's a long road, but I'm sure you'll make it."
Gloien's eyes widened, but they soon watered as he hugged her out of nowhere.
She smiled gently, feeling the tears seeping into her light green jacket, and pet his head, "There there, it's okay. You have a family now. You have Lilo-chan, Stitch-kun, Galaxynyan, the rest, and us SRS members too. I'm sure you'll get through it too! Just believe in yourself!"
"T-Thank you!" he sobbed quietly. "I-I'll try my best."
Duri watched and smiled. He knew that Sayaka had and would always struggle with her past mistakes, but she would make it. She was strong that way; a true light to those around her.
Sayaka just kept on hugging him. Warmth was something that no one should ever have to give up. She refused to let the fire of hope die. That was why she worked hard every day, after all. The life purpose she had found after being revived.
She wouldn't let it die now.
"I'm not proud of what I did in the MKG, but you know what? I realized something crucial about life because of it; if we let every mistake lord over our lives, what meaning will those lives have? Mistakes are not to be worshipped, but instead embraced and learned from. If you can't do that, you can always try again. No matter how hard life will get, stand strong, for your support system comes from the people all around you. Love them and grow together, no matter how hard it can be to face the past. The present and future can be better, but only if you choose to germinate in the soil of the past."
