1: Ruka

Hello, it is me, your not so average Luxray in a world not too different from yours. Welcome to Ruka, not the city or town from your world, but a kingdom from our own world. Now, for where i stand now at the beginning of my tale... Is upon the outskirts of this kingdom. The kingdom of Ruka... As i stand there as a bold Pokemon...

"And you said... You are alone?" Said one of the guardsmen.

"Yes sir, i am alone." I said, fiddling around with a tree branch.

"Okay, we'll let you in, but please allow us to understand one thing; Why do you stand on two legs and not all fours like you're supposed to..?" Asked the other guardsmen.

"Well... It's a long story, but put into simpler terms, i was forced to learn this way of maneuverability." I simplified, letting go of the branch and standing up, not matching their height.

They both sigh and talk amongst themselves, as i can barely hear what they are saying.

They then look at me again...

"Alright... Proceed inside, The Hunter will meet with you and you may enter the barracks." One said, stepping aside to let me through the doors.

I nodded and proceeded through, looking around as i enter.

Since Ruka is one of the most richest cities in the whole area, it looked very beautiful upon entry.

Why was I here? Why... To do what every other male, yet strong pokemon would do; Enter the forces against the ALTER.

So many questions, I'm guessing, so who are the ALTER you ask..?

The ALTER is a massive fleet of people who have the complete opposite mind and ideas as we all do. Let's just say, they are copies of ourselves that are completely twisted and aggressive. Not only that, but they have been invading our world over and over to try to kill everyone in it. Why? Who the hell knows.

Now as i was saying....

Entering the city was nice, it made me feel safe, but due to some recent attacks that had visible damage on some of the structures here, that ruined the sight and feeling a little.

"You better not wander off, lonely Luxray... Head straight to the barracks!" Yelled a guardsman, as i shrugged it off and ran into the city.

"The barracks... The barracks..." I said looking around, obviously very lost.

In the inner edge of the city, it was very easy to get lost, so for a dumb teen like me at that time, i got very lost.

I watched other Pokemon walk by, they all seem normal, yet I'm the frantically lost dummy looking for my destination.

"Does anyone know where the barracks are in this place!?" I yell, desperate for an answer, until a Bisharp came out of nowhere and looked at me in the eyes.

"So you... Are Zaiden?" He asked sternly, as I nod slowly. He smiles a little and pats me on my back.

"It's nice to finally meet you." He said stepping back a little.

"Are you The Hunter??" I ask, very confused. He then nods and turns around.

"Follow me, kid..." He said, walking away.

I looked around, then ran to his side without hesitation. As I caught up to him, he looked at me and handed me a paper.

"What's this?" I ask, grabbing it.

"Heh... The information you'll need to know, Mr lonely boy." He said, looking forward again as we both walked.

I thought about what he said about my loneliness, but shrugged it off, and read the paper...

---

"Welcome to the A.E.R.O., aka the ALTER Extermination Revolt of Order. The information below must be followed accordingly and must be taken for note before entry to the barracks." I read out loud.

"What revolt??"

I didn't really understand much of what i was reading, then looked at the bottom, it listed the rules...

"Lights out: 7 pm."
"Take all classes according to procedure."
"No fighting."
"Don't be out after lights out."

---

I shake my head, and look at the paper again.

"Why the hell is this basically like boot camp!?" I yell, still staring at the paper.

The hunter shrugs and keeps walking.

I go silent momentarily.

"You have a lot of training and preparing to do, young Luxray..." He said, looking at me again.

"As a warrior?" I say, being the little weirdo i was at that point in time.

"No Zaiden... A soldier... You will become a soldier. This isn't some sort of situation like what you are thinking..." He says, looking away and approaching a gateway that lead to a shrine.

I look at the shrine in awe, it looked very beautiful.

The Hunter then approached it and touched a sort of pressure plate, as we were then teleported to a large encampment of other Pokemon.

The buildings were a sleek color of grey, and they looked like no ordinary military buildings.

The Hunter looked at me and smiled again.

"Welcome Zaiden, to the A.E.R.O."
