The Ninja, like the dragons they once fought alongside with, flew high into the air and then swooped down to fight their respective enemies. Kai fought Aspheera, Cole fought Vangellis, Zane fought The Mechanic, and Jay fought Pythor.

Kai spun around and kicked Aspheera across the face before spreading his wings and then flapping them, sending out giant bursts of fire. Aspheera growled and swung her sword, sending out a burst of pink fire. The two bursts clashed and exploded before Kai and Aspheera quickly went back to fighting, with Kai using his bare hands and feet to punch Aspheera, while the Serpentine Queen used her sword.

"I'm ssstarting to underssstand you, Massster of Fire!" Aspheera cackled, swinging her sword against one of his wings, which Kai was using as a shield. "You're impulsssive! Rageful! Like the fire you keep losssing!!!"

Kai chuckled. "Impulsive, huh? Your one thing is revenge!" He cried before kicking her across the face again and then flying high.

Aspheera stumbled back before she was blasted with fire over and over again until she finally used her sword to block it.

"Revenge, revenge, revenge!" Kai sang. "Ever get tired of saying that? You may be powerful, but you're one note!"

"Sssilence!!!" Aspheera demanded as she shot out fire as well, but this time, Kai dodged and then zoomed forward, punching her in the face and actually knocking out one of her fangs.

Kai grinned before landing on the ground. "That's some good advice! Nighty-night!!!"

Then, with a flaming fist, he uppercutted Aspheera and grabbed her sword from her. She was knocked out cold.

Kai grunted as the crystal began spreading to his arm once he held the sword, but he closed his eyes. When they opened again, they were glowing and the crystal shattered off the sword.

The Sword of Fire was back. Kai could feel its power and a huge sense of nostalgia.

Zane was just flying across the air, constantly dodging or deflecting blasts from The Mechanic, who now had both shurikens on his back.

The Mechanic then grabbed one of them and threw them at Zane, doing the same with the other.

Zane gasped and then wrapped himself in his wings, deflecting both quickly before he landed, his eyes glowing blue.

The Mechanic raised his cannon arm and it suddenly changed in a pink glow, and the shurikens actually shrunk before inserting themselves into the cannon. The Mechanic laughed. "Man, I love the things this dimension does!!!"

"The Overlord's going to destroy it all! What makes you think he's going to keep you by his side once he reaches ultimate power?!" Zane cried.

The Mechanic's pink eye narrowed. "Ohhh, don't take me for an idiot! You're doing the thing where you try to get me on your side! Even if we do all get destroyed, at least I won't have to see the likes of you ever again!"

Zane cracked his fists. "Very well then...I'll be taking those shurikens back."

The Mechanic cackled. "You're not getting them back...like how you didn't go back for your brother."

Zane's eyes widened for a moment, but he once again remembered what Master Wu taught him before he lunged forward with his icy dragon wings spread wide.

The Mechanic fired both shurikens, but Zane suddenly caught them both and then kicked The Mechanic across the face.

Zane then grunted once he felt the pink crystal forming over his arms, but he focused and then concentrated. Seconds later, the crystal shattered and the Shurikens of Ice were back.

The Mechanic gulped. "Oh, no."

Zane smirked before he threw the Shurikens at The Mechanic, freezing him solid. He then lifted his hands and both came flying into his palms.

"...after all of this is done...I'll make it up to you, Echo...somehow...even if you'll hate me for all time." Zane said, promising himself before he flew off to meet with the others.

Meanwhile, Cole and Vangellis were clashing with both the scythe and the wings of Cole's Dragon Form. The two were flying in the air as well, pink and orange energy flowing across the sky.

"Once I've destroyed you...I will take back Shintaro!" Vangellis exclaimed, pointing his scythe at the Master of Earth. "This I swear on my-"

Cole pretended to snore before he 'woke up'. "Oh, sorry. Villain speech, right?"

Vangellis' eyes twitched before he slashed Cole across the chest and then raised the scythe high in the air. The very earth below them shook and then? Pillars of rock began shooting at Cole.

Cole's eyes glowed orange before his fists did as well. He then began using his 'Earth Punch' ability to smash through all the pillars that came at him, all the while soaring through the air. He then lifted his hands and the pieces of rock that came from the pillars suddenly attached themselves to his hands.

They formed into giant maces and Cole pounded them together like they were boxing gloves before lunging at Vangellis.

The Skull Sorcerer lunged back at him, swinging the scythe forward...before Cole punched the arm that was holding it, causing him to drop the scythe. Vangellis screamed in pain before Cole punched him with both hands, knocking the former king out cold.

Cole had his mace-like gloves turn back into pieces and he caught both Vangellis and the scythe. He then landed and threw Vangellis onto the ground.

"...Vania still cares about you deep down...so I can't let you die." Cole said as he felt the crystal already shatter. He looked down, seeing the Scythe of Quakes back in his hands.

Finally, Pythor was just causing a gigantic storm by spinning his nunchucks in the air. Pink lightning shot down from the sky, but Jay was just dodging them or spinning around in the air.

"So, this is how the dragons felt! Gotta say...I'm having the best time of my life!!!" Jay laughed as he spun around, like he wasn't in danger.

Pythor snarled. "Why did I get the annoying one?!"

Jay then swooped down, punching Pythor across the face before landing on the ground. "Says the guy who can't even fight! I mean, look at me, I lose nearly every fight and yet the supposed 'Serpentine King' can't win one either!"

Pythor's eye twitched before he swung his nunchucks, hitting Jay across the face and then shocking him. Jay screamed in pain before his eyes glowed a bright yellow and he shot out a giant amount of lighting at Pythor back.

The Serpentine King screamed in pain before feeling it stop as soon as it came. Then, before he could even say another word, Jay shocked him again and knocked him unconscious.

Jay then swiped the nunchucks from his hands and watched the crystal immediately shatter when he touched them. He chuckled, spinning around the Nunchucks of Lightning with a sigh. "Ah, the memories..."

Then, all The Ninja met up and looked up at the giant mech. The head was glowing brightly and they knew what that meant.

The Crystal King was coming out to fight.

And sure enough, the head of the mech opened up and The Crystal King flew out with red, gold, purple, and silver energy sparking all around him. He roared, stopping the battle and alerting everyone of his presence.

Harumi then finally made it back onto the mech and then put her sword on her back. "M-my lord...the Crystal Council have failed...our armies are actually failing!!!"

The Crystal King's eyes glowed before he turned to Harumi. "AND SO ARE YOU..."

He then lifted his hand, a purple ball of energy forming...he was going to destroy her.

Harumi gasped and stepped back. "M-my king, I-I just wish to serve you!! I-"

"DO NOT TAKE ME FOR A FOOL...YOU ARE NOT TRULY LOYAL...YOU DO NOT TRUST MY JUDGEMENT AND FOR THAT...YOU SHALL PERISH."

But then, a golden blur zoomed in and scooped Harmi into his arms. The Crystal King roared once he saw it was the Monkie Kid himself on his own Somersault Cloud and armor that made him look like the Monkey King.

MK then looked down at Harumi and zoomed down to the ground, throwing her aside. "That's for breaking my friend's heart!" He exclaimed before zooming back up to the Crystal King, with his Golden Staff in his hands.

He then stopped once he was face to face with The Crystal King. His fur, tail, and cape blew in the wind as he rested his staff on his shoulder. "Looking for me?"

The Crystal King sparked with golden energy as his eyes narrowed. "DID YOU TRULY THINK YOU COULD DEFY ME...? ALL ALONE...?"

MK grinned before he spun his staff around. "Oh. I'm not alone..."

The Crystal King then shot out a gigantic golden laser from his eyes, which MK dodged. He was as fast as the wind before he lunged forward and hit The Crystal King across the face with his staff.

MK then punched The Crystal King higher into the air, grinning as he cracked his neck.

The Crystal King stopped himself effortlessly and then suddenly lifted all four of his hands, purple lightning shooting out from them.

MK zoomed throughout the sky on his cloud, spinning around his golden staff as purple lightning bolts fired at him, almost non-stop. He then zoomed higher and higher into the air until the lightning couldn't catch up with him.

The Crystal King's eyes narrowed as he floated through the air, the purple lightning firing off his body and practically demolishing the sky itself. And as if it was alive, it was chasing MK.

MK's red and golden armor shined, even in this dark sky. "C'mon! You can't be that bad at aiming, can you?!" He exclaimed before zooming at The Crystal King.

The Crystal King raised one of his four hands and then slammed his fist into MK's gut, punching him straight off his Somersault Cloud. The purple lightning turned a bright silver and started firing at MK like bullets.

MK fell through the air, yelping at the bullets as he took out his staff again, ready to deflect them all...until green dragon wings suddenly shielded him, almost wrapping around him.

The Monkie Kid, clearly confused and shocked, looked from side to side. "Say what?"

"You really thought I was gonna let you fight this creep without me?" A voice said with an echo before the wings began to spread out and whoever caught MK let go of him.

MK landed on his cloud again before staring at who was flying beside him. A gold and green Oni with shining dragon wings on his back. MK grinned. "Hey, in my defense-"

"FLY!" Lloyd suddenly exclaimed as he dove higher into the air, with MK following soon after. The energy emerging from The Crystal King didn't give up and kept following them.

The Monkie Kid and The Green Ninja kept flying and flying before Lloyd had to spread his wings again and use them as a shield, defending both himself and MK. The Monkie Kid's eyes glowed gold before he fired out a giant laser beam from his eyesight alone, firing it at The Crystal King.

The Crystal King raised all four of his hands, encasing himself in a crystal that protected himself from the laser. Once it passed, he broke out of his own shield.

"Oh, that's just cheating!" MK exclaimed, gritting his sharp teeth.

Lloyd summoned a pair of dual swords into his hands, spinning them around. "Then, we're not going to play fair either!"

MK looked at him and then nodded before the two charged together, with The Crystal King roaring as he flew at them.

The three beings clashed, with Lloyd and MK pushing against the Crystal King together. The Crystal King roared, sending out a blastwave of energy and sending both The Green Ninja and The Monkie Kid flying.

But then, MK zoomed back over, smashing his staff into the Crystal King's eye, causing him to cry out in pain. Lloyd then flew over, flapping his wings and sending out a gigantic burst of green energy.

The Crystal King, blinded, was hit by the burst and sent flying aback. But then, he lifted all four of his hands and collided them, sending out a blast of all the energies of The Four Primates.

MK yelped and then zoomed off, with Lloyd going the opposite direction. The battle had just started and it was already intense. Both were wondering at the same time how they were even going to win.

"I AM A GOD BEYOND THE GODS OF THIS REALM AND ALL REALMS!!! YOUR STRENGTH CANNOT DEFEAT ME!!!" The Crystal King boomed. "I'VE BEEN THERE SINCE THE BEGINNING...IT WAS I, WHO POSSESSED THE SERPENT THAT BIT GARMADON'S HAND!!! IT WAS I, WHO CORRUPTED THE GREAT DEVOURER AND SENT HIM AGAINST YOU!!!"

Lloyd's eyes widened and he stopped flying, his glowing green eyes wide for a moment.

His father leaving him because of his growing evil, therefore starting a chain of events that resulted in nearly every bad thing that had ever happened in his life...was because of The Overlord?

MK stopped next to Lloyd, grabbing him and then pulling him away from another gigantic blast from The Crystal King.

"THE DEVOURER WAS NEARLY A PAWN!!! EVERYTHING THAT HAD HAPPENED WAS BY MY DESIGN...AND NOW AT LAST...EVERYTHING WILL BE DARKNESS!!!" The Crystal King boomed.

Lloyd was then filled with a righteous anger and he zoomed at The Crystal King, blasting him in the face with all his might and then using his dual swords to slash him across the face. "NOT TODAY, OVERLORD!!!"

MK then zoomed forward, jabbing his staff into the Crystal King's stomach and then swinging it upwards into his face. "NOT EVER!!!"

The Crystal King roared and breathed out another gigantic energy blast, which MK and Lloyd were barely able to dodge. But then, a familiar golden blur zoomed right by them and a trident was then thrown into The Crystal King's chest.

Erlang then floated beside Lloyd and MK, lifting his hand and causing his trident to fly back into it. "I've been aching for another demon to slay..."

Then, The Ninja flew over as well, clutching The Golden Weapons tightly. "Don't forget about us!!!"

The Crystal King's eyes glowed brightly before he lunged forward, punching the air and sending out a giant shockwave that sent all of them flying. But the heroes refused to back down and stood together.

Then, with a cry, they charged at The Crystal King, united and sharing a common goal.
