As soon as I walked into the lab Leo asked me "Hey Dani since it's our free day off want to hang out?" He asked. "Sorry Leo I was actually going to watch a marathon on Netflix but if you want you can join me." I said and Leo nodded. And then Chase walked in "Hey Chase want to hang out?" Leo asked.

"Sorry Leo I gotta make the most of my day off I already organized the weapons vault, alkalized the island's water system, and taught a cute little group of dolphins to wave hello." Chase said mimicking the hand wave that he taught them.

"Aww I wish I was there to see that." I said and Chase smiled. "Next up some light reading." Chase said. "Ooh." He said grabbing a book of Bree's and flipping the pages and in five seconds he finished reading it.

"She ended up marrying the vampire? I did not see that coming." Chase said and Bree snatched the book away from him. "Wait you can speed read?" I asked and he nodded. "I should have known no wonder you finished writing your report in one day." I said.

"Oh hey Adam." Leo said standing infront of him. "No." Adam said walking away. "I didn't even ask you anything yet." Leo said. "Alright go ahead." Adam said.

"Thank you would you like to- "No." Adam said interrupting him then he turned to us. "Guys check out this rock I found on shore I had to dig it up from a wooden box, old yellow coins and jewelry." Adam said showing it to us and it had a spider shape on it.

"Adam this isn't a rock it's a fossil let me see that." Chase said. "No." Adam said pulling it back but Chase grabbed it. Then he placed it on the desk and pressed his two fingers on his temple a couple seconds later he gasped and looked at us.

"This is a prehistoric sea spider it went extinct millions of years ago." Chase said. "Way to go Chase you made my rock boring." Adam said disappointed and walked away. "Whoa cool." Jake admired.

"Cool I love spiders. You know what back in highschool they used to call me spider legs." Leo said smiling but we just kept looking at him to see if he got the hint. "And now I realize that's a bad thing." Leo said realizing. "No kidding." Jake and I said at the same time and we looked at each other.

"It looks like it's from the cretaceous period." Douglas said. "Your right Douglas it's from the validation subdivision . I would have loved to see this spider when it was alive." Chase said.

"Well maybe you can, you know before I got into bionics I raveled in biology I was trying to use fossils to bring extinct species back to life." Douglas said. "That explains why there's still no Mrs. Douglas Davenport." Bree said.

"This specimen is almost perfectly preserved." Chase informed. "You know I was never able to crack it on my own but maybe with your help and Jake's help I can." Douglas said pointing to Chase and Jake.

"I'm pretty sure your not looking at me but I am in." Leo said forcing himself into their group. "Let's do this Douglas and Jake." Chase said. We then heard a ringing noise behind us and we all turned around to see Adam on a bicycle.

"Hey Leo it was rude of me to just say no when you asked if I wanted to do something earlier." Adam said. "Well it's nice to see you've come to your senses." Leo said walking over to him.

"What I should have said was no thank you." Adam said just as Leo was about to get on the second seat he left and I started laughing.

I decided not to join to boys for this. One, because I clearly would have no idea what they were talking about half of the time and second, I'm going to have a marathon on Netflix.

I was into the first 15 minutes of the tv show Scream when I suddenly hear music and Bree complaining, I paused the show and looked up. Figures it was Adam I then walked over to them.

"Watch it." Bree said. "Keep it down." I followed. "Sorry it's kind of hard to see with all this snorkeling gear." Adam said fiddling with the mask. "Then take it off." Bree said. "Well how will I breathe?" Adam asked.

"You and Dani have the bionic ability to breathe underwater." Bree said. "But I'm not underwater." Adam said. "Okay why are you here? We have the whole island to ourselves can't you see Dani and I are trying to relax." Bree asked.

"Hey I live here too did it ever occur to you that you sitting here reading quietly might be annoying to me? And you having your laptop watching a show on such a low volume is also annoying." Adam told Bree and I.

"No." We both responded at the same time. "Well it is." Adam fired back. I super speeded back to the couch and clicked play until literally 5 seconds later I heard a razor.

I geo leaped back to the pool area where Bree was trying to relax to see Adam with a shaver. "Adam what are you doing?" Bree asked. "What does it look like? I'm shaving my knees." Adam said in a duh tone of voice.

"Why would you shave your knees here? Can't you go to the bathroom to do that?" I asked. "Cuz it's my day off and it's cold in there." Adam said continuing to shave then blowing the hairs off.

Just then Chase ran in "Guys you've got to come downstairs and see this come on." Chase told us before taking my hand and I literally had to run with him.

"Behold one of the greatest achievements in the history of science." Douglas said taking the cover off the tank and there it was the famous sea spider standing right infront of us.

"AHHH SPIDER I'LL GET IT!" Adam said taking off his flip flop but Chase and held him back and I chuckled. "Stop, Douglas, Jake and I were able to extract the DNA from the fossil and reanimate the sea spider." Chase said.

"Wait so you brought a million year old creature back to life in one day?" Bree asked. "Yup and it only took us a couple of minutes." Jake said. "What'd you do with your day off?" Chase smirked. "I could knock you out in one day and you wouldn't wake up until a week later." I said. "Never mind." Chase replied.

"When you take a lot of shortcuts and conduct dangerous experiments without any safety precautions you can do anything in a day." Douglas said. "Can you believe it." Chase asked. "You spend your whole day off with your weird uncle playing with a dead spider? Yeah I'd believe it." Bree said.

"This is just the beginning think about all the other extinct animals we could bring back to life dinosaurs, ooh dodo birds-" Douglas started naming. "Camels." Adam said. "Adam camels aren't extinct." Chase said literally reading my mind.

"Oh yeah, then how come I've never seen one?" Adam asked. "Ugh that thing is nasty." Leo said putting his face up in the glass. "Can I touch it?" Leo asked. "No." Douglas said.

"Oh but you guys can touch it?" Leo asked. "Look, we can't risk anything happening to it the spider's very existence could change everything." Chase explained.

"And make me famous around the world." Douglas continued smiling. "And what about Jake and I? Chase asked. "I'm sure you'll end up on somebody's blog and Jake would end up on a big billboard for 'Who's that handsome new face?' Douglas said referring to a magazine.

"There that should keep our little friend safe." Douglas said putting the cover on the spider's cage and locking it. "Well I'm going to go somewhere quiet and enjoy my day off." Bree said. "Same here later people." I said holding up a peace sign before geo leaping into the living quarters and resuming my show/marathon.

"Hey Leo I have a question." Adam said running into the living quarters. "What's up?" Leo asked. "Is this annoying?" Adam said before blowing the air horn and Bree and I looked at eachother in annoyance.

"Yes it's annoying." Bree said. "Extremely annoying." I continued. "Well I'll tell you what's annoying people who interrupt conversations." Adam replied. "Leo." Adam said before blowing the air horn again.

"Let me hear it one more time." Leo said going along with Adam's game and Adam did it again. "Yeah that's annoying." Leo said. "Well we might have a problem because this thing is like candy to my ears." Adam said blowing the air horn again.

"Adam why do you keep pestering Dani and I?" Bree asked. "I'm not pestering you I'm just trying to relax on my day off this is my zen." Adam said blowing the air horn a fifth time.

"That's it." Bree and I said at the same time before super speeding him to the front of the pool and making him fall in there. "Try tooting your little horn now." Bree said and Adam did but it came out all muffled due to the water which made me laugh.

"You messed with our spider." Douglas said walking in with Chase and Jake and pointing to Leo. "You can't bring an extinct spider back to life and expect me not to play with it. Besides what's the big deal?" Leo said.

"The big deal is you didn't put the cover on right and it escaped." Chase said. "Oh well that is a big deal." Leo said. "Ahh ow." Adam said holding his back as he came of out of pool.

"Are you okay?" Chase asked. "I don't know something bit me in the back when I was in the pool." Adam said. "That's called karma." Bree sing songed. "I bet it was the spider." Douglas said.

"If it was it's gone." Chase said. "It really hurts can you take a look?" Adam asked before bending and we all yelled at the sight of the swollen bite. It looked like he had a hump!

"I better scan the wound." Chase said before pressing his two fingers on his temples. "Guys his spider bite shows lethal levels of poison." Chase said and we all stood there shocked. "What is it bad?" Adam asked.

"No just stay calm and think of your happy place. Better yet." Bree said pulling out the air horn making Douglas, Leo, Jake, Chase and I cover our ears while Bree smirked and Adam smiled.

"His vitals are dropping by the minute." Chase said. "He's burning up." Leo continued. "I cannot believe this all because of a spider bite." Bree said. "If we don't do something soon he's going to." Douglas explained but instead of talking he showed us by slicing his throat with his thumb then putting it down.

"Chase? Chase, where's Chase?" Adam asked. "I'm here Adam." Chase said as Adam took his hand. "There's something I have to tell you if I die." Adam said. "I'm not going to let that happen." Chase said. "No listen to me, if I die I want you to know even when I'm dead." Adam said.

"Adam." Chase pleaded. "And I'm still a pile of bones I'll still be taller than you." Adam said and Chase immediately shot up and Adam started laughing. "You should have seen your faces." Adam said.

"Wait why do you have so many tiny faces?" Adam asked. "Oh no the venom must be making him hallucinate." Leo said standing infront of him. "I love what you've done to your hair Bree." Adam admired.

"I would have never brought back the spider if I knew that it was poisonous." Chase said. "Why didn't you know it was poisonous?" Douglas asked. "Why didn't you know it was poisonous?" Chase replied back. "Your the fossil guy." Chase said. "You're supposed to be the smartest man in the world." Jake retorted.

"Hey stop! Blaming eachother isn't going to help Adam. Besides I was the one that pushed him into the pool." Bree said. "Ahh so it's your fault she admitted it." Douglas said. "Well he let the spider out." Bree pointed at Leo.

"Hey I'm not even here right now I'm in Gettysburg." Leo said. "We have to find that spider if we can make an anecdote by extracting the venom from it's sack it should reverse the effects." Chase said then Adam groaned in pain again.

"Don't worry Adam we're going to find that spider and save you I promise." Leo said. "Okey dokey Mr. Corn Man. Don't be afraid I just want to bite your head off." Adam said opening his mouth and Leo backed away. "Okay come on." Chase said as we left the living quarters. Boy this was going to be hard.

"Now the spider is very dangerous so we have to be careful that we don't get bitten." Chase said to Bree and I. I was holding a baseball bat, Chase was holding a news paper and Bree was holding a toilet plunger.

Then Chase started shoving us and we stood up. "What re you doing?" Bree asked. "Protecting you?" Chase said but more like a question. "Oh come on I'm the bigger loss and we both know it." Chase said. "Your bionic and your afraid of a spider?" Bree asked.

"Of course not I made it I'm not afraid of it." Chase said looking out for it. Then I used my fingers and trailed then up Chase's back. "Ahh get it off me! Get it off me!" Chase exclaimed running away and Bree and I started laughing.

"Hey did you find it?" Chase asked Douglas and Jake as Bree and I ran in. "No did you?" Douglas and Jake asked. "See." Leo said. "No we did not but thank you for asking." Leo replied. "Okay a spider could not have just disappeared into thin air." I said.

Then the building started shaking. "Wait what was that?" Bree asked. "I think it's coming from outside." Douglas said as we looked out the window that was in back of us. "Is it?" Leo asked. "I think we just found the spider." Chase said.

It roared at us through the window making us run to the training area and dropping our weapons. "That spider didn't look like that this morning what happened?" Leo asked. "Yeah how did it get so big?" Jake asked.

"I don't know." Chase said. "Why don't you know?" Leo asked. "I don't know." Chase said. Douglas trying walking away but then we stopped him. "Douglas." Chase said. "Okay fine remember how you wanted to make the spider more resilient so it wouldn't go extinct again?" Douglas recalled.

"I remember you wanted to do that." Chase said. "And we talked about giving it growth hormones." Douglas continued. "And I said do not do that!" Chase exclaimed. "Which could be interpreted many different ways." Douglas said then Chase let out a groan.

"Well I didn't know it would get this big." Douglas defended. "Oh who knew growth hormones would make something grow." Chase said frustrated. "Your just mad because I didn't save any for you." Douglas fired back. "Toasted." Jake said and I started laughing.

"Below the belt Douglas, below the belt." Chase defended. "Okay guys stop there is no need to kill eachother although that was a good one uncle Dougie." Bree admitted and Douglas smiled and again the building shaked for a second time above us.

"If we don't stop that thing it's going to destroy the entire academy." Chase said. "No wait we can't kill it yet the venom is no good to Adam if we extract it when the spiders dead." Douglas explained. "Great not we just need to find someone who knows how to milk a 50 foot spider." Leo said.

"No, no, we don't have to milk it we'll have to extract the spider's venom with this. It should be sharp enough to puncture through the venom's sack." Douglas said loading the gun and putting a needle on it at the top of it so it would shoot out.

"Check the security feed to see if it's still our there." Chase told Bree, Leo and I. "It's by the living quarters." Bree replied. "Great, alright let's go." Chase said. "Oh remember we have to get as close as we can to make sure we have a good shot." Douglas said.

"So you want us to sidle up next to a giant, angry, deadly spider, and poke it with a needle?" Leo asked. "Yup and if we can do it before my brother returns that would be great." Douglas said as we all followed behind him and went into the living quarters.

When we walked in the living quarters started shaking making us stumble a few steps. "Why is it trying to attack us?" Bree asked. "It's not, it's trying to eat us." Douglas corrected. "Why is it trying to eat us?" I asked.

"Because we forgot to bring back his food source." Douglas replied. Man this guy has an excuse for everything. "We? Oh there is no we this you. You are a terrible scientist." Leo said through his gritted teeth.

"Hey I'm not the one who let the spider out." Douglas fired. "You are the one that made it into a 50 foot man eater." Leo replied. "That's true he isn't wrong 'Douglas the scientist' hmm." Jake said putting air quotes around Douglas the scientist.

"Chase. Chase, where is Chase?" Adam asked. "Oh knock it off." Chase yelled. Then as it was on top of the building Leo grabbed the shotgun from Douglas and we went over to where by the pool was. "Okay, alright, ha." Leo said adjusting the shotgun each time.

"Leo what are you doing?" Douglas asked. "Saving the day you know doing my Leo thing." He replied confidently. "Not like that you aren't your angle is all off." Douglas said then he got thrown a couple of feet back because of one of the spider's legs came swinging at him.

"Now that's karma." Leo said laughing. "No stop Douglas is right your angle is completely off." Chase said. "Oh I am not giving you the shotgun to the one that started all of this." Leo said. "Again you started all of this." Chase said.

"Seriously just someone shoot the damn spider." Jake said. "Oh I will I'm about to end this." Bree said grabbing the shot gun from them. Bree walked down the two stairs. "Here I'll stop it for you." I said using my molecular kenisis to stop the spider it was right under us then Bree shot it and all the venom come out.

It splattered all over us. "Eww gross." I said. "Got it." Bree said as the spider fell of the island into the ocean. "Mission accomplished." I said. "Perfect this should be more than enough venom." Douglas said wiping some venom off of Bree's cheek and mine.

"Ya think?" Bree asked. "Well let's go make that anecdote." Chase said and all the guys walked away. "Hey Bree and Dani do you need a towel? No I'd rather stand here covered in spider goo. Oh and it went in my mouth." Bree said. "Same here." I said spitting it out.

After that I took a shower and changed into some fresh new clothes we then all went to the kitchen/lounge area and we were playing cards. "See this is what I'm talking about." Leo said. A little family bonding." Leo said.

"Funny how it takes a giant killer spider going after a loved one to remind you what's really important sitting around with the people you see everyday." Bree said. "Too bad we had to destroy spidey I'm going to miss him." Leo said. "I'm not." Jake replied.

"On the bright side we're the only people to make a species extinct twice." Douglas said and Adam walked in. "Adam you look great." Bree said. "Thanks you look like you always do." Adam said. "Wow that anecdote worked quickly." Chase realized.

"Then why does he still have that giant hump on his back?" Leo asked and Douglas, Leo, Jake and Chase stood up and walked over to Adam. "It's just the access fluid it should be gone in a few days." Douglas said.

"Or I could just pop it right now." Adam said lifting up his shirt, I went under the table just in time as it popped and I splattered all over Douglas, Leo, Jake and Chase. "I feel better already." Adam said. "So do I." Bree said smiling and putting down the plate.

"No argument here." I said laughing at them as Jake was coughing trying to get the fluid out of his mouth. "And it went in my mouth." Leo said. "You and me both brother." Jake said clearly disgusted.

"Hey guys check out this funny looking egg that washed up on shore." Adam said handing the egg to Chase. "That's a dinosaur egg." Chase said. "Oh boy." Bree said. "Here we go again." I said. "You know this time if we don't give it growth hormones we could-" Douglas was about say something but Leo cut him off.

"Or." Leo said grabbing the egg and cracking it into pieces with his bionic arm and they fell on the floor. "You could get a new hobby." Leo continued before walking to the hydroloop. "If you need me I'll be in Gettysburg!" Leo shouted as the doors closed. Boy was this an interesting week.
