Reyna wakes up the next morning with the sunlight blinding her. She doges the slab of wood that has become her enemy and throws her legs over the bed.

If she was back a Camp Jupiter she would have her work cut out for her. But it was oddly quite.

She sees Nico sleeping his black hair falling over his eyes. She wants to move his hair away and to apologize for last night, for failing to protect him.

"Do I have something on my face?" He says and Reyna slightly moves back.

She wasn't aware she was awake.

"No I was just thinking."

"As was I." He says groaning then stands up.

"Nico!" Reyna yells and brings her arm up to cover her eyes.

"What?" He asks clearly confused.

"I'm not used to seeing people without a shirt." She says her face probably red.

He laughs, "I was just letting me wound air out. Do you have any idea how hard it is to sleep with thick bandages."

Reyna rolls her eyes and removes her arm and sees Nico putting on a black shirt. Not really black but a deep grey.

"I'll meet you outside." He says and walks out the cabin.

Reyna puts on a clean pair of brown shorts and a purple Camp Jupiter shirt.
She laces up her shoes and walks out the cabin and finds Nico rested against a tree.

"Ready?" Nico asks and brushes his dark hair out his eyes.

"Yes." and he closes the distance and takes his left hand and she feels the joint of heat from his touch.

"Then lets go." He said and pulls he along to the Arena.

"Oh are you ready to get you beat again?" Reyna says and gets into fighting stance.

"I recall last time I beat you." Nico said and points his sword in front of himself. And tosses Reyna her sword with his other hand.

She catches it and returns to her originally fighting stance and lunges and right when their swords are about to clash. A voice pulls them apart.

"Sorry guys but your with me for the morning." Will said.

Reyna eyes widen as she takes in the slight of him. His hair was matted with dirt as well as his face. He has slight bags under his eyes. Will also had many bandages all around his body but mainly the chest and arms.

"When is the last time you've gotten rest?" Reyna asks still holding her sword.

He closes his eyes slightly, "Two days ago."

"Will." Nico groans.

"The Infirmary is packed after the attack last night. I had to burn even more of my siblings. And s-she's gone."

Reyna stares at Nico and a silent agreement passes through them.

"I'm personally escorting you back to the Apollo cabin." Reyna said.

"No I have to help you with training." Will yawns and rubs his eyes.

"I'm perfectly fine with archery."

"Lies." Nico coughs and Reyna sends him a glare.

"How about this. You get some sleep for say 2 or 3 hours and then you can train with us." Reyna said as she was already guiding him out the arena.

She walks him back to the Apollo cabin that has the back half taken off by acid and fire.

"Are you going to be alright?" Reyna questions as she stands in the doorway.

"Honestly I don't know. But one thing is for sure." He said half way asleep.

"And what's that?" Reyna asks softly.

"That I'm not going to rest until I find her." He said mid way and collapses from exhaustion, "She is my best friend."

Reyna closes the door and walks back to the Reyna. Half way there she sees Nico speaking to a girl around her age.

They talk for about another moment and she walks away pushing something into his hands. Reyna brushes it off and changes her direction to go to the infirmary.

Will wasn't lying when he said it was packed. Reyna had to watch her step to make sure she wasn't stepping on anyone.

A boy that was around the age of twelve. He was sickly pale and his chest rose and feel at uneven pace. Just looking at him she could tell he was very weak.

Reyna quickly grabs his small hand and she gives him so of her own strength. He gasps slightly and his eyes slowly open revealing grey orbs.

He makes eye contact with Reyna and whispers, "Thank you."

Reyna smiles and brushes his blonde hair from his forehead, "Rest now brave warrior."

He obeys and he falls back to sleep.
Reyna walks down two beds and sees Charlie and Aaron.

Charlie was sitting up speaking quietly to the same boy with shoulder length blonde hair. Aaron was sleeping bandages around her head and forearm.

Charlie makes eye contact with Reyna and she can just make out of what she just said.

"I'll speak to you later Ryan thank you for the lily." She smiles and the boy Ryan gets up and walks away a small smile on his face as well.

"How are you feeling?" Reyna asks and sits on the foot of her bed.

"Okay expect that horn that grazed my side last night." She shifts her eyes to Aaron, "I'm more worried about Aaron."

"Yes her wounds-"

"Yes that but Jordan missing." Charlie cuts in putting her hair behind her ear.
"Speaking of it about 30 demigods are missing."

Reyna remains silent dwelling on Charlie's words. Lost demigods.

"Did you see demigods fighting last night? Like evil demigods." Her brown eyes flicker to Reyna. "I saw one in a cloak stab someone from the Apollo cabin. The girl she turned as the figure was about to attack but her eyes saw someone she knew."

"Y-yes someone like that attacked me but I didn't know them." Reyna confesses to Charlie.

"I don't know Reyna but something doesn't feel right." She stares out the window.

"I know I feel it too." Reyna runs he hands through her hair. "You know you're a hero."

She whirls her head toward Reyna, "Me?A hero?"

"Yes you saved Nico last night that was very heroic." Reyna smiles at her expression.

"Wow." She mouths.

Reyna laughs softly and Charlie joins her.

"It's hard to believe 2 weeks ago I was a normal kid. Beside stealing cars and robbing wealth people." Charlie shrugs.

Reyna stares at her her lips slightly parted.

"Yeah I lived on the streets. Stealing anything I could use to survive. A cop tried to arrest me but there was something off about her. She was super pale and had a donkey leg. Weird. That's when Stream the stayr saved me he had another demigod with him. Ryan the guy that just left and so yeah picked up a few demigods along the way and ended up here." She explains.

"I never would have thought you've been through all that."

She smiles sadly,"No one does."

Charlie just had this energy about her that made Reyna want to hug her tightly and tell her everything that had she held in her heart.

A bell rings signaling lunch.

She raises from the bed and turns her attention back to Charlie, "Tell Aaron to get well and I'll come visit you tomorrow."

"Okay. See you soon." She waves her off.

Reyna walks over to the Mess Hall where the food is served. She sits at the Hades table. She sends her burned offering to her mother as well to Pluto.

Through the whole lunch Nico didn't show up to the table. After lunch Reyna walks back to the Hades cabin looking for Nico.

"Nico?" Reyna ask into the cabin.

She sees Nico asleep on his bunk. One of his arms over the edge of bunk. His lips slightly parted. As she walks back out she hears him say her name.

"If you touch Reyna I will kill you." He calls out sleepily.

Reyna stops and stares at him from the door frame.

He was dreaming about her?

Well more like a nightmare. Her voice counters.

She walks outside the cabin as decides to spend the rest of her day actually learning archery.

About an hour into practice Will shows up. Looking refreshed but at the same time very tried.

"I thought you come and wake me up after two hours." He yawns slightly as Reyna releases the bow and missed the bulls eye.

"I was distracted." She loads another arrow and knocks it into place.

"No like this." He gently guides her arrow a little higher. Will gives her a thumbs up and she let's it fly.

It finds it's target, dead center.

"Romans are not used to bows and arrows. We prefer swords more stabby stabby." She remarks and Will laughs.

"I'm not that good with the sword I'm average. But hand my a pen or a bow and arrow and I'm deadly."

"Yes as deadly as a sunflower." She suppresses a small laugh.

"Hey!"

"But Will a pen?" She said as they walk to retrieve the arrows.

"I'm just as good as archery as I am as poetry."

She looks into the distance at the armory the we're quite close to the woods.

"Prove it."

Will clears his throat. "It is a nice spring. Except for the prophecy. Average demigod life."

Reyna claps, "Nice Haiku."

"Thank you-" He said and his eyes drift over her shoulder.

His eyes fill with terror and he's sprinting to the woods.

"Will!" Reyna screams as he disappears into the brush. She chases after him.

"Nyssa!" He screams at the top of his lungs. "Nyssa!"

"Will!" Reyna yells he was sprinting surprising fast. "You'll attract monsters stop-"

A roar stops her mid thought and Will skits to a halt. Reyna nearly runs into him. Then a bunch of teenage girls voice breaks the silence.

Reyna grabs Will by the back of his shirt and pulls him into the brush covering them both.

"Ugh! I don't understand why we have to be here instead of at the other Roman Camp." One girls voice said.

Wills eyes meet hers and he mouths 'empousai'

"Because." Another voiced hisses. "Half of the demigods in the prophecy are there and half are here! You idiot!"

"A least my winged eye liner looks better them yours!" The other voice retorts.

"Why you little-"

"Silence!" The voice of who appears to be the leader yells. "We are here to capture the daughter of Zeus. Son of Hermes. Son of Hades and the daughter of Bellona."

"Then why do we need to capture other half bloods?"

The dragging sounds stop right in front of the brush that covered them. Reyna spots 12 legs so six empousai.

"We need an army of both our kind and half bloods to please the masters." Reyna was pretty sure she had a smirk.

Something catches Reyna attention the tip of a sneaker from a brush opposite of theirs.

"Come on we must go the sun is setting and we are turing even more tonight."

The girls giggle and the dragging carries on until Reyna can no longer hear it.

They wait a good solid 20 minutes before quietly emerging from the bush.

Reyna walks over to the brush where she saw the tip of a sneaker.

"Hello?"

A few seconds later a girl comes from the brushes barely able to stand. Will catches her before she hits she ground.

"I knew it was you." He whispers as she desperately hands on to his collar.

"Must h-hurry s-save the o-others." She mangers. Reyna clasps her hand around one of her hands and she feels the strength leaving her body. She is brought down kneeling.

The girls eyes widen and she gasps for breath. "Whoah."

"I get that a lot." Reyna said.

"Nyssa what happened?" Will said as he pulls her up.

"They're turning demigods. It's crazy they hold then kneeling their heads tilted back toward the sky. And then something comes from the ground and goes inside of them. They're eyes turn completely black and then a smile."

Will looked just as horrified as Reyna felt.

"I barely escaped." Her gaze turns to Will and she punches him. "You could have gotten yourself killed!"

Will rolls his eyes. "I'll talk to you about this later. You had my worried sick."

"What now?"

"We'll we are unarmed and in the middle of monster infested woods. The best thing is to go back and warn the camp and get weapons." Reyna said. "But that would cost us time which we don't have."

"Maybe we could-" Will doesn't finish before he is knocked to his knees. A girl with a dazzling smile behind him holding a large at stick.

Reyna hands go to her sword holder and sees her sword isn't there.

She feels something behind her and brings her arm to block. She was wearing wrist guards or else the large wooden stick would have broken her wrist.

The empousai hisses and her eye flash red. Another appears before Reyna could do anything and slams something hard against the side if her head.

Reyna collapses and the the last thing she hears is giggling and red high heeled shoes. As the blood trickle down her head.

Anyway I never thought of Will and Nyssa as a ship but there kinda cute.
Apollo and Hephaestus. As friends I repeat as friends! I met as friends from the very start.
