Y/n was watching as Cardin was beating Jaune brutally in Professor Goodwitch's class, he was the bully of the school and he wouldn't wait a second to shove a blade into his neck. But he made a vow that his ancestors before him made: stay your blade from the flesh of the innocent, his thoughts were interrupted by Cardin's monologue

Cardin: "this is the part where you lose"

Jaune: "over my dead-"

Before he can say anything he was kneed in the gut and Cardin was going to strike him with his mace but then Professor Goodwitch stopped him

Goodwitch: "Cardin that's enough!"

Cardin stopped assaulting Jaune and put his mace on his shoulder

Goodwitch: "students as you can see Mr. Arc's aura has reached red, in a tournament style duel this would indicate that Mr. Arc is disqualified..."

Y/n listened but also glared at Cardin, he was pissed at him and was willing to kick his ass anytime of the day, then the bell rang and the students left the cafeteria. Later team RWBY and JNPR was eating lunch as Nora talked about the dream she had, Y/n didn't pay much attention to that topic however did listen when Pyrrha brought the topic of Cardin bullying Jaune

Jaune: "what? No! Cardin is just playing around"

Y/n scoffed as he was fixing his phantom blade

Y/n: "jouer? cet enfoiré vous intimide et d'autres faunus et devrait juste être tué par un Grimm"(playing around? that fucker has been bullying you and other faunus and should just be killed by a Grimm)

Everyone gave Y/n curious looks

Y/n: "*sigh* basically what I was saying is that Cardin is a bully and he shouldn't be in this-"

He then saw Cardin picking on Velvet by pulling on her ears, Y/n was now sick of this bullshit. He flicked out the blade of his phantom blade, flicked it back in and went towards

Y/n: "hey you ginger retard!"

Cardin: "what did you just call me Frenchie?!"

Y/n: "you heard me goddamnit! Stop bullying her!"

Cardin let go of Velvet's ears and grabbed him by his collar

Cardin: "why don't you make me?"

Y/n: "with pleasure"

He then unsheathed his hidden blade and stabbed Cardin's wrist as he screamed in pain, Y/n then kneed him in the chest and started to beat the ever loving shit out of him, this shocked team RWBY and JNPR since he never was this, he was typically calm and monotone. After he finished he lifted Cardin by his collar and unsheathed his hidden blade and touched his throat

Y/n: "now listen here you fucking bastard, I'm sick and tired of you keep on bullying everyone in this academy. You keep this up and I am not afraid of putting you or your team in the grave six feet fucking under, You hear me?!"

Cardin weakly nodded

Y/n: "good"

He then kneed Cardin in the face and a sickening crack was heard across the room

Y/n: "take this morceau de merde(piece of shit) to the infirmary, his wounds won't kill him but it didn't tickle either"

They frantically nodded as they took Cardin away and went to the infirmary, Y/n left the cafeteria to his room to clean the blood off his clothing

Blake POV

I can't believe it, Y/n beat Cardin with no remorse and protected Velvet even if she is a Faunus. I was going to go up to him tell him something but then he left the cafeteria without a word, I followed him and he went to our dorm. I went inside to find him washing the blood off his uniform

Blake: "hey Y/n..."

Y/n sighed

Y/n: "I know that I took it too far but-"

Blake: "why did you defend Velvet?"

Y/n stopped as he turned off the water and hung his clothes to dry, he then looked at Blake

Y/n: "Blake, the Faunus has been through too much from humans and deserves a place in this world not as the ones feared or hated, but as those treated equally. And bastards like Cardin are those who interfere that equality and should be stopped anyway possible..."

I looked in shock, all he did when my team was around was just say some kind of remark in French or would just ignore what we were doing, but when he said this he said it in such passion like he would even do what he would do it.

Blake: "y-you really think that?"

Y/n: "of course...and I know why you asked, you yourself is a Faunus"

Blake looked in shock

Blake: "how did you-"

Y/n: "there was obvious motions on your bow and your mood also syncs with it, I also have a "sixth sense" that makes me see things others can't see. But don't worry Blake your secret is safe with me"

Blake smiles at this and hugged Y/n

Blake: "thank you!"

He smiled as he hugged the cat Faunus back

Y/n: "You are welcome"

After the incident with Cardin everything went smoothly, Y/n was in Oobleck's class writing down notes surprisingly able to catch up with Oobleck's teachings

Oobleck: "what was the ability the Faunus had during the battle of fort castle?"

Cardin threw a paper ball at Jaune making him wake up

Jaune: "hey!-"

Oobleck: "Ah Mr Arc! Very kind of you to be contributing to class! Do you know the answer?"

Jaune was frantic when the scenario hit him, both Pyrrha and Y/n were giving him hints by pointing their eyes. Then Jaune found the answer or more so the incorrect answer

Jaune: "oh! Binoculars!"

Y/n facepalmed as the rest of the class laughed

Oobleck: "Very funny Mr Arc..."

Oobleck then looked at Cardin

Oobleck: "Cardin! Do you have anything to add to this?"

Cardin: "Well...it is easier to train an animal than a soldier"

Y/n attempted to jump him but then Pyrrha and Blake held him back

Y/n: "Laisse-moi à cet enfoiré, je jure que je vais le tuer!!!!!!!"(Let me at that fucker I swear to Oum I'm going to kill him!!!!!!)

Pyrrha/Blake: "Y/n calm down!"

A minute later Y/n sat down huffing

Oobleck: "Mr Dorian, is there a reason why you tried to attack Mr Winchester?"

Y/n looked at him

Y/n: "isn't it obvious? He treats the Faunus badly when they deserve respect just as much as humans respect themselves"

Cardin only scoffed

Cardin: "Faunus deserves to be in cages like how French like you deserve to be in the guillotine"

Y/n only chuckled

Y/n: "you know, I'm surprised someone who can't answer a simple question as this knows what a guillotine is"

Cardin glared at him

Cardin: "it's not like you don't know the answer!"

Y/n: "no I don't, but I know someone else who knows the answer"

Pyrrha: "the Faunus had night vision"

Blake: "the general was ignorant in this fact when he decided to ambush them in their sleep, perhaps if he paid attention in class he wouldn't have be remembered as such a failure"

Y/n: "OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH GET DROPPED MOTHERFUCKER!!"

Cardin glared as he got up and Y/n released the arms of his phantom blade

Oobleck: "Mr Winchester, please take your seat"

Jaune snickered at this however...

Oobleck: "You and Mr Arc can stay after class for additional teaching"

Jaune's expression dropped as the bell rang,  Y/n left a bit angered about what happened as he closed the arms of his phantom blade

Pyrrha POV

I followed Y/n, I noticed he's more angry than he typically is but it's something I have seen before, I followed him and before he can leave he ran towards Cardin as he kneed him in the face after he shoved Jaune which made him go flying as he picked up onto his feet

Y/n: "you alright?"

Jaune: "yeah..."

I watched Y/n sigh in frustration as he, I tapped his shoulder as he looked at me

Y/n: "Oh, hey Pyrrha"

Pyrrha: "Y/n, are you alright?"

Y/n sighed

Y/n: "No, Cardin and his so called team of huntsmen shouldn't be here if they are here to bully and discriminate. I don't understand what Ozpin was thinking when they brought him in and not only that but I don't understand why the staff aren't doing jack shit about this..."

I just look at him speechless, I wouldn't think that Y/n would care for such a person which no one did but me

Pyrrha: "why?"

Y/n: "hm?"

Pyrrha: "why defend someone like Jaune?"

Y/n sighed

Y/n: "no one should be treated like this, not even someone like Jaune. There is potential in every human and Faunus in remnant and every single one of them should be free from this kind of treatment..."

I smile at this, the fact that Y/n is willing to defend those who lack the ability to defend themselves made me want to get closer to him

Pyrrha: "I'm glad, if only if there are more people like you in this academy"

Y/n chuckled

Y/n: "yeah probably, come on let's go to the cafeteria we're gonna miss dinner..."

I smile as I go with him, maybe I should hang out with him more
