It's been about a full month since my time here at Union Academy and it's been great. I've made plenty of friends with Yang being the friendliest of them all. Ryuko would drop by randomly and sometimes drag me out to the city. Jiro and I would go to some music shops where we should tell me about instruments and some bands as well.

I helped out Izuku train and I offered to train Jaune, but as of late he's been acting distant. And at lunch he sits with Cardin from 1-B. His team has been worried about him, but unfortunately he wouldn't talk to them. But I knew that eventually things would work out for him. I could just feel it.

Aizawa:"Alright, everyone listen up. We will be doing some training off campus. I will be taking the heroes in training and Prof. Goodwitch will take the huntsmen in training. Rias, you and your club will go with the huntsmen. Same with you, Ryuko and Mako."

"What about me, sir?"

Aizawa:"You'll be joining us."

I nodded and he told everyone to hurry and get dressed and to meet him out at the landing pads. Everyone rushed to get dressed and Izuku came out wearing the gym uniform instead. He said he had some repairs to do because he and his team had some close encounters with Grimm plus Bakugo was launched right where he was. I slipped into my casual clothes and soon we all piled into a bullhead.

Prof. Goodwitch was flying off in a different one and when we landed there was a private bus waiting for us. We got on and the bus started heading towards the off campus training site. I looked around for a seat and I saw Jiro looking at me. I smiled and sat by her. She was listening to music so I didn't bother her and just leaned back in the seat.

Iida:"Mr. Aizawa, what kind of training will we be doing?"

Aizawa:"Rescue training. Shipwrecks, landslides, and some others."

Everyone began discussing their quirks and started teasing Bakugo because his attitude really wouldn't make him popular.

Kaminari:"Yeah if anyone is gonna be a popular hero, it's definitely gonna be me!"

Kirishima:"Yeah. Electric powers are cool and flashy. All I have is my hardening. But if I'm being honest I think Todoroki and (Y/n) have the best chances at being top heroes.

"Me?"

Kaminari:"I hate that you're right."

Tsu:"Yeah. (Y/n) is pretty strong plus he can use different weapons. And remember that tsunami he made with Jiro?"

Kaminari:"I'm lucky I escaped that thing."

Mina:"That was actually crazy! You'll definitely reach the top of the hero charts (Y/n)!"

"Thanks. But I'm still unsure if being a hero is for me."

Kirishima:"Don't sweat it, man! You've got a few more years to figure it out!"

I nodded and the bus came to a halt.

Aizawa:"Enough chit-chat. We're here. This is the Unforseen Simulation Joint. Or the USJ for short."

He jumped out the bus first and we all soon followed after and saw a large dome like building. We stepped inside and saw a multitude of environments.

And in there we met another pro hero by the name of Thirteen.

She started to tell the class that quirks were powerful and that even a minor slip-up can cause a civilian to get hurt or even worse...killed. As she continued to speak, the lights started to flicker before going dim. The water fountain in the center of the building then started to only shoot out spurts of water before a strange wispy hole expanded and a bunch of weirdly costumed people stepped out.

Kirishima:"Is this part of the training?"

Aizawa:"Stay back and stick together!"

They flinched as he slipped on his goggles.

Aizawa:"Those are real villains."

Everyone was shaking and he looked at Thirteen.

Aizawa:"Hurry and begin the evacuation."

She nodded and ushered everyone to the doors and we had no choice to but to run as Aizawa jumped down and began fighting all the villains on his own. We were then halted when the warp gate turned out to be an actual villain that stood in our path.

Wispy Man:"I do hope you can forgive our intrusion. It was my understanding that All Might was supposed to be here. That is why I brought along a few guests. That wanted to witness him in his last moments."

As he continued to monolog, Kirishima and Bakugo lunged at him, but their attacks fazed through him and he laughed a bit.

Wispy Man:"That's right. Even if you are students you're still some golden eggs. Luckily, it's my job to split you all up and torture you to death!"

He created a large dome around us all and the dark mist enveloped us and I was transported to a different part of the USJ.

No One's POV

(Y/n) looked around and noticed he was in a zone where rain has being blown around constantly. He looked over and saw he was with Tokoyami and Koda.

Tokoyami:"(Y/n), it's good that you're here."

(Y/n):"Yeah. I'm glad you guys are here too."

They heard some sinister laughter and turned to see a group of villains blocking their exits. Koda grew scared and quivered behind the two. Tokoyami used his quirk, Dark Shadow, to ready up for the fight and (Y/n) summoned his knives. (Y/n) tossed them in the air and called upon some lightning that did some major damage to the villains. Tokoyami grabbed one villain and used him to slam into others.

They fought off the rest with ease and smiled.

Tokoyami:"Now that was easy. But there still might be more. We should scope out a bit more before trying to regroup with the others."

(Y/n):"Alright."

They started to hear the sound of clapping and looked up to see someone standing on one of the many buildings in the storm zone. They jumped down and got ready to fight. The mysterious villain wore a black coat with their hood up to completely hide their identity.

?:"S̸o̷ ̷w̴e̶ ̴f̸i̸n̷a̵l̴l̵y̴ ̷m̸e̵e̵t̴,̷ ̷(̵Y̷/̶n̵)̵."

His voice was weird as it came out distorted, but they noticed it was a masculine sort of tone.

(Y/n):"What do you mean finally?"

?:"O̴u̶r̶ ̷m̶e̵e̷t̶i̸n̸g̶ ̷w̸a̶s̸ ̵d̷e̵s̴t̸i̶n̷e̵d̴ ̵r̵i̸g̴h̸t̴ ̶f̷r̷o̷m̸ ̶t̵h̷e̷ ̷v̷e̴r̴y̷ ̴b̷e̴g̷i̵n̸n̶i̶n̷g̶."

(Y/n):"Destined?"

Tokoyami:"(Y/n), do not fall for his words. He's probably trying to confuse you in order to take you down easily."

?:"M̶y̸ ̶w̵o̶r̶d̵s̶ ̶a̶r̷e̵ ̵n̷o̶t̵h̶i̶n̴g̶ ̵m̶o̸r̴e̶ ̶t̵h̵a̵n̵ ̴t̵r̴u̸e̶."

(Y/n) looked at the mysterious opponent and couldn't help but the shake the feeling that he had met him before. But...where? As he pondered on it, some more villains showed up and got ready to fight.

Tokoyami:"(Y/n), ignore him and let's deal with the others!"

(Y/n):"Got it!"

?:"Y̸o̶u̷ ̸c̴h̸o̴o̵s̸e̵ ̷t̸o̴ ̵i̴g̴n̵o̷r̶e̷ ̸m̷e̵?"

He scoffed and jumped onto the building he was on earlier.

Villain:"Hey! What are you doing?! Help us!"

?:"Y̸o̶u̶r̸ ̵s̷a̷f̵e̸t̵y̴ ̶i̸s̴ ̵n̴o̴t̶ ̷m̴y̵ ̵c̵o̴n̷c̵e̷r̵n̶.̸ ̶M̵y̴ ̴o̷n̵l̸y̵ ̷c̵o̷n̶c̷e̴r̶n̶ ̷i̶s̶ ̵w̸i̸t̴h̴ ̶h̵i̶m̸.̵"

He pointed at (Y/n) who glared before helping Tokoyami fight off the remaining villains.

?:"I̴ ̵c̷a̷n̷'̶t̸ ̴b̵e̴l̶i̸e̸v̸e̶ ̶t̶h̵e̸y̴ ̶h̷i̸r̸e̶d̵ ̶s̵u̴c̵h̶ ̶i̶n̶c̶o̷m̷p̴e̷t̸e̸n̷t̶ ̵f̴o̵o̴l̷s̶."

He jumped back down and started to approach (Y/n).

Tokoyami:"Dark Shadow!"

He used his quirk and tried to attack the man, but he only laughed.

?:"A̴n̴ ̴i̴n̵t̷e̶r̸e̶s̸t̴i̷n̸g̴ ̸q̷u̵i̴r̵k̶!̷ ̷B̶u̷t̸ ̵I̵ ̵r̵a̴i̶s̴e̸ ̶y̸o̷u̷ ̷t̵h̸i̷s̴ ̷i̶n̷s̶t̶e̷a̸d̸!"

A strange monster figure appeared behind him and pushed Dark Shadow into the ground harshly.

(Y/n):"Hey! Leave my friend alone!"

With his knives still equipped, he dashed at the figure and tried to claw at his face. The dark figure behind the man caught his wrist and tossed him aside. (Y/n) flipped through the air and landed back on his feet. The hooded man and the dark figure crossed their arms as (Y/n) dug his feet into the ground.

(Y/n): This guy... Just what is he?

The creature behind him threw some dark crescents and (Y/n) flipped over them and watched them cut straight through some lampposts. He threw his knives while in the air and the creature caught them. A burst of electricity spawned right on his palm and the creature flinched.

?:"Y̴o̶u̴'̵v̷e̴ ̶c̴e̸r̵t̵a̸i̷n̴l̴y̷ ̸c̴a̵r̶r̴y̷ ̸s̴o̸m̸e̵ ̸p̶o̶w̵e̷r̷,̶ ̴b̴u̶t̶ ̶d̶o̵ ̶n̴o̷t̷ ̶e̸x̵p̵e̵c̵t̵ ̷t̴o̷ ̷a̶c̴t̷u̸a̷l̸l̵y̵ ̴d̷o̶ ̶a̷n̸y̸t̵h̷i̴n̶g̷ ̵w̶i̸t̷h̸ ̸t̷h̷o̸s̷e̸ ̶p̸u̸n̷y̵ ̶k̸n̵i̸v̷e̵s̷."

(Y/n):"That's not all I have!"

His knives disappeared and in his hands appeared Eternal Flames, his chakrams. He dangled them before tossing them at the man. His creature blocked the attack and the chakrams bounced back to his hands.

(Y/n):"Tch! I didn't think the villains actually had someone strong."

?:"I̷'̶m̸ ̸f̷l̸a̶t̸t̸e̴r̷e̶d̶ ̶b̵u̴t̶ ̸I̶'̴m̴ ̸n̷o̷t̷ ̵a̷t̷ ̸t̴h̷e̵ ̴l̴e̷v̶e̴l̴ ̷o̶f̶ ̵s̷t̴r̵e̴n̵g̸t̶h̴ ̶I̸ ̷w̶o̶u̵l̷d̶ ̷h̶o̷p̴e̸ ̴f̷o̶r̸.̷ ̸T̴h̴o̴u̶g̴h̸,̵ ̸I̵'̴m̷ ̷t̶h̸e̴ ̸o̷n̷l̶y̵ ̸o̸n̷e̸ ̷w̵h̵o̸ ̷d̷e̴s̴e̸r̵v̷e̸s̸ ̴t̵o̶ ̷g̸o̸ ̷a̵g̴a̸i̷n̵s̵t̴ ̶y̵o̶u̴."

(Y/n):"And why me, exactly? I don't know you and you know me somehow."

(Y/n) watched as the hooded man held out his hand. He stared and saw a dark aura pulsating off his hand.

(Y/n):"Not a chance! You're just babbling on like a crazy person! What reason do I have to trust you?!"

?:"B̵e̴c̸a̴u̸s̷e̶ ̷u̵s̷ ̷N̸o̵b̸o̷d̸i̴e̶s̶ ̵h̸a̵v̸e̴ ̴t̵o̵ ̷s̸t̴i̶c̵k̶ ̸t̵o̸g̷e̴t̶h̶e̶r̸."

(Y/n):"A nobody?! I'm more of a somebody than you! I have friends after all! You're just hanging around with a bunch of thugs and posers."

?:"Y̶o̷u̴'̵r̸e̶ ̶m̵o̸r̶e̴ ̵i̶g̶n̶o̶r̴a̴n̷t̷ ̴t̷h̷a̵n̵ ̶I̷ ̴t̸h̸o̶u̷g̶h̴t̷.̸ ̷I̷ ̷d̷o̷n̵'̶t̶ ̶m̴e̵a̶n̶ ̶i̸t̵ ̷a̸s̵ ̸a̶n̷ ̸i̴n̶s̸u̷l̶t̴.̶ ̶I̵ ̵t̶o̶l̶d̴ ̵y̶o̶u̶,̸ ̸w̵e̸ ̷a̶r̷e̷ ̴e̸m̷p̸t̴y̴ ̸h̶u̴s̶k̵s̵.̷ ̶W̶h̵e̵n̷ ̷s̷o̶m̵e̴o̵n̵e̸ ̴w̵i̶t̶h̶ ̴a̷ ̷s̸t̸r̶o̵n̵g̶ ̶h̴e̸a̵r̷t̶ ̷d̷i̴e̶s̶,̵ ̵t̵h̵e̴y̶ ̴l̶e̴a̷v̶e̵ ̸b̴e̸h̴i̵n̶d̵ ̴a̴ ̸b̷o̸d̴y̶ ̷r̵e̵m̵i̷n̸i̸s̷c̴e̵n̷t̸ ̵o̵f̸ ̴w̴h̵o̷ ̴t̸h̷e̸y̸ ̶o̷n̶c̸e̷ ̵w̵e̸r̴e̴.̴ ̸A̴n̶d̴ ̶t̶h̷a̷t̵ ̵w̴o̷u̴l̵d̸ ̴b̶e̸ ̴u̷s̵."

(Y/n) stared at him and was genuinely confused. Even Oobleck's fast-paced speeches were more coherent than what this man was saying to him.

(Y/n):"Yeah right! I'm my own person!"

The man sighed in exasperation and shook his head.

(Y/n):"Well, I don't really know anything about my past. Or my powers either..."

(Y/n): Ask Ozpin? What would he know about my past? I shouldn't let this guy get to my-"

His thoughts were interrupted once he got punched by the shadowy creature. He was sent crashing through a building and tumbled along the street. He got up and groaned in pain as he did. The hooded man teleported in front of (Y/n) and grabbed him with his dark figure and threw him out the storm zone.

(Y/n) crashed through the ceiling and broke through it and was spinning through the air and grit his teeth. He was then backhanded down to the mountain zone below. (Y/n) crashed harshly and surprised everyone. The villains there looked on before backing away when the hooded man appeared in front of them.

?:"I̵s̸ ̵t̵h̸i̴s̵ ̷t̷h̷e̵ ̷b̸e̷s̵t̶ ̶y̶o̷u̶ ̵c̷a̶n̶ ̶d̸o̵?̶ ̴I̵'̴m̷ ̷q̴u̸i̷t̸e̷ ̸d̷i̵s̶a̶p̸p̴o̸i̴n̵t̶e̵d̸.̶ ̸M̶a̸y̶b̴e̸ ̸y̶o̷u̸ ̴n̵e̶e̶d̵ ̶a̶ ̴l̵i̶t̷t̷l̵e̶ ̷i̵n̶c̷e̶n̷t̶i̵v̷e̷ ̶t̵o̷ ̴a̵c̶t̵u̶a̸l̴l̵y̷ ̸g̸e̸t̸ ̶s̸e̴r̴i̴o̵u̷s̶!"

He appeared behind Jiro and grabbed her with the dark figure and held her up and began to squeeze her body tightly. She cried out in pain and Yaoyorozu tried to help her out, but was pushed away with a blast of dark wind. (Y/n) heard Jiro's cries and picked himself back up and looked pissed.

(Y/n):"You want me to get serious? Then you got it!"

He suddenly appeared right by his side and used a brand new weapon to cut straight through the dark figure's arms. Jiro was caught by (Y/n) who set her gently on the ground. He then showed off his weapons.

Interdiction

He had two laser-like beams floating a bit off his palms and the hooded man stepped back a bit after seeing what it did to his partner. (Y/n) tossed one into the air and it spawned dozens of duplicates that attacked the villains surrounding them. They cried out in pain before passing out and the ethereal blade went back to his hand.

?:"T̶h̶a̵t̸'̸s̵ ̴a̷ ̶n̴e̷w̴ ̸o̸n̴e̷.̸ ̷I̴ ̴w̶a̵s̵ ̵h̸o̴p̵i̴n̸g̴ ̴y̶o̵u̷'̴d̶ ̶u̸s̷e̴ ̶t̴h̶a̵t̷ ̶o̵t̵h̴e̶r̵ ̶w̸e̵a̸p̷o̸n̴.̴ ̸B̴u̸t̸ ̷n̸o̶w̵,̷ ̷I̷ ̶f̴i̸n̸a̶l̸l̴y̴ ̴s̸e̵e̸ ̶y̸o̴u̷ ̵t̵r̶u̸l̸y̸ ̵a̶r̶e̶ ̷a̴ ̷p̷o̸w̷e̵r̷f̴u̸l̸ ̷N̵o̵b̶o̷d̵y̶.̵ ̸L̵e̸t̸'̷s̴ ̷h̷a̷v̶e̵ ̸s̶o̴m̴e̴ ̵f̶u̴n̷!"

(Y/n) appeared in front of him and kicked the hooded man into the air and he let out a pained grunt. Jiro watched as (Y/n) floated through the air and began swinging the blades around and comboing the man. As the two fought, All Might was down below as he had managed to make it to the USJ thanks to Iida running to the nearest hero station and letting them know the situation. They called Union and Sirzechs used a teleportation spell to send him there immediately. He was fighting a weird creature named Nomu.

The man and (Y/n) were fighting in the air as he shot out blasts of darkness that were quickly destroyed by (Y/n)'s ethereal blades. He teleported to him and grabbed him by the throat and threw him to the ground below. He formed a large crater and saw a storm of blades raining down on him. He summoned his dark figure and it shielded him but the blades pierced through its body before it eventually disappeared.

(Y/n) landed back down and was continuing to glare at him. The hooded man stood up and was panting. He looked over at (Y/n) then back at the other villains who were retreating.

?: Damn! I underestimated you, (Y/n). Is this your strongest weapon? No, you should be only that strong with the Keyblade. What you're using now is the power of nothingness. Heh, you really are a Nobody.

The pro heroes were going around arresting the villains and this gave the hooded man an idea. He fell to one knee and punched the ground.

?:"Y̷o̶u̶'̴v̸e̵ ̵w̶o̶n̵.̷ ̶G̷o̷ ̶a̶h̵e̸a̴d̴ ̴a̴n̴d̸ ̷t̷a̵k̸e̷ ̸m̷e̴ ̴a̶w̸a̴y̴.̶ ̸I̶ ̶s̴h̶o̵u̵l̴d̶'̵v̵e̵ ̴j̵u̷s̴t̶ ̵s̸t̸a̷y̶e̷d̷ ̶b̷a̶c̶k̵ ̴a̶n̸d̴ ̴o̵b̴s̵e̵r̵v̴e̴d̷ ̵y̸o̵u̷.̵"

(Y/n) was panting and put away his weapons. He walked over to the hooded man who then snapped his fingers. A pillar of darkness burst from the center of the fountain and everyone was on guard.

(Y/n):"What the-"

He was blasted in the chest as the man laughed and teleported to the pillar. He raised a hand up and the darkness swirled into his hand and created a large orb. He floated in the air and began laughing hysterically.

Before he could do anything, he saw something above him and he saw that it was (Y/n). He had some blood trickling down his mouth and he was diving straight towards him.

(Y/n):"I'm not through with you just yet!"

(Y/n) summoned a different weapon. This one being bigger and heavier than anything else in his arsenal.

He yelled out at the top of his lungs and managed to carry the axe sword with only one arm and was steadily approaching his opponent. The hooded man shifted his body so the orb would be the first thing he hit.

?:"Y̶e̷s̴!̷ ̸D̵o̴ ̶i̶t̶!̴ ̸I̷ ̷d̴a̸r̴e̸ ̶y̷o̸u̴!̸ ̵L̶e̵t̵'̷s̵ ̸s̴e̶e̸ ̵y̴o̷u̶ ̵s̸u̸r̷v̶i̶v̷e̵ ̴t̶h̴i̴s̷ ̸e̷x̸p̴l̷o̷s̵i̸o̸n̷ ̸o̸f̸ ̷d̵a̶r̸k̷n̴e̶s̶s̷!̷"

(Y/n) didn't stop and cleaved through the dark sphere like butter and landed a devastating blow on the hooded man. But right when he did, the sphere exploded in their faces and sent both flying in opposite directions. Everyone was gasping as (Y/n) began to fall through the air and the hooded man seemed to disappear through a dark portal. A hero managed to catch (Y/n) safely and his clothes were torn with his body slightly singed from the explosion. His eyes grew heavy before everything went dark.

Yang:"Will he be okay?!"

Recovery Girl:"Yes dear, calm down. Try not to wake him."

Yang:"How can I be calm when I know a villain did this to him!?"

Recovery Girl:"Yang, (Y/n)'s body is tough. And I've already done what I can for him. The rest relies on him. He should wake in a day or two. Just keep yourself calm and tell the same for his friends."

Yang:"Yes ma'am. I'm sorry."

Recovery Girl:"Oh it's no trouble at all dearie. It's only natural for a girl to worry about her man."

Yang blushed and looked away.

Yang:"He's not my man... Not yet at least..."

Recovery Girl:"Ooh, so confident. I like it. Here, have a lollipop."

She gave Yang a lollipop and she smiled and thanked her before leaving the infirmary after taking one last look at (Y/n). About an hour after the USJ incident, Yang and the others learned about what happened to (Y/n). Jiro had told them that (Y/n) was fighting a villain and he managed to actually hurt (Y/n) and make him get serious. Jiro sat at his side for a while before they showed up. Then Mako and Ryuko watched over him then it was Yang's turn for a visit, but it was unfortunately short.

The people that attacked were called the League of Villains. Ozpin and the other teachers were discussing on what to do next. There was going to be some news reporters waiting to get some juicy details on the whole thing. And some other teachers asked about the guy (Y/n) fought. Tokoyami told them all he knew and that once (Y/n) was thrown out the zone he didn't know what happened.

2 days later

(Y/n) woke up to a blinding light and closed his eyes before opening them up again and adjusting to it. He sat up and winced a bit as he did.

Recovery Girl:"Good afternoon (Y/n)."

(Y/n):"Good afternoon... Wait, why am I here?"

Recovery Girl:"You got into a serious scuffle with a villain back at the USJ."

(Y/n):"That's right... The man in the hood... How long was I out?"

Recovery Girl:"For two days, dear. Luckily for you, classes are canceled until next week."

(Y/n):"I see. Am I good to go?"

Recovery Girl:"Yes. But do not do any strenuous activities for the time being. Take all the time you can to relax."

He nodded before stepping out the bed and finding a fresh pair of his clothes on a trunk by the bed. He grabbed them and went to the bathroom to change. He thanked Recovery Girl before walking out the room. (Y/n)'s walking speed was a bit slower than usual, but he eventually stepped outside. He took in a deep breath of fresh air before continuing his walk.

As he walked, he noticed students looking at him and giving him a thumbs up or a nod of approval. He wasn't exactly sure why, but all the attention was a little weird. He stopped to sit on a bench and breathed a sigh of relief. He leaned back and looked at the sky.

(Y/n): A Nobody? Ask Ozpin? Why should I believe that guy? But, if Ozpin knows something about my past then maybe...

He tried to piece his thoughts together when someone spotted him from across the yard. She quickly ran over and called out to him.

Yang:"(Y/n)!"

He looked over and saw Yang headed his way and smiled. She quickly wrapped her arms around him and tightly squeezed him. He winced in pain and grit his teeth.

(Y/n):"Y-Yang... Too tight..."

She eased up on him and looked at his eyes directly. He looked back at hers and saw the tears in her eyes.

(Y/n):"Yang, why are you-"

Yang:"Because you were seriously hurt! You guys were attacked by actual villains! And everyone said you fought one of the tougher ones! I was worried okay?!"

(Y/n):"Yang, I'm sorry... But I had to fight back and make sure no one got hurt. And I acted reckless, I'll admit."

Yang held onto him and he hugged back.

Yang:"I'm glad you admit it..."

(Y/n):"And I'm guessing I worried everyone else."

She nodded before letting him go and sitting by his side. She dried her tears and placed a hand on his. He felt his face heat up a bit before their fingers intertwined. They didn't say a thing for a while and just looked up at the sky for a bit before his stomach grumbled. He chuckled awkwardly before she got up and pulled him off the bench before walking with him to go grab some food.

Yang was making (Y/n) feel better and ease all of his worries. But there were would be more fun to be had for him. Next time.
