Chapter 4: The Goddess of the Earth
"A brown ninja? Utterly ridiculous." Gaia tossed her luscious brown locks over her shoulder and gave her second-in-command an uninterested look.
"But there is something special about him," Badar said, trying to reason with his master. "The very earth shakes as he rolls out of bed. He spills a drop of water, and an entire village is flooded. When he tries to make a fire, he cooks a forest. Surely he is worth examining." Gaia's calm demeanor faded and she fumed.
"BADAR! You are not speaking of this 'brown ninja'! You are speaking of ME! I am the master of the earth! That is what I do! YOU FOOL!" Gaia slammed her hands on the coffee table in front of her. Nothing happened. She stomped one foot on the waxed floor, and cried out in pain. Badar stood there awkwardly. He was not afraid his master, though he was quite wary of her. At last, he decided to slip away and give the woman some space.
Gaia, the goddess of the earth, could no longer control all the natural elements. Not since the First Spinjitzu Master had given them to the original elemental masters. The former goddess now rocked back and forth in pain, clutching her foot and thinking about Badar's words. The 'brown ninja' seemed to be quite strong, though she doubted he knew what kind of power he wielded. If he did, then Ninjago would either be gone or at his feet. Despite what she had said to Badar before, Gaia was interested in observing her new target. As she often told herself: "one must do everything or lose everything to get it all back."
*A/N Sorry that it's way too short! I don't want to spoil more stuff about Gaia! (her name actually means goddess of the earth) Vote if you like the story so far :)*
