Lu bai was surprised when he was called to report to work when he was given a week off, hearing his boss being slow serious, lu bai arrived at the company and found his boss who wasn't in a good moods with just his aura, it clearly shows he is not someone who will be questioned.

"Your sweetheart who is now my partner is at the hospital, a small accident happened to him, i thought you should know, since you two are very close." It must be this heartless man fault, lu bai ran out of the company, stopping a taxi, he instructed the taxi driver to go, arriving at the hospital, lu bai was shown where xiao zhan was.

Xiao zhan was laying down on bed, he has a bandage on his head, fingers and his right hand too, his face too has bruises, lu bai ran to his best friend and held xiao zhan uninjured hand, zhan opened his eyes and he smiled seeing his best friend.

"Why are you smiling you fool? Your hurt." Lu bai said in tears, zhan shook his head.

"I'm fine, don't cry, i didn't die and it doesn't hurt at all, i told you xiao zhan is strong." Zhan answered with a smile on his face.

"Why don't you just give up? We can find some other means to get money, you don't have to sacrifice yourself and happiness in the hands of that beast, i can sell my apartment and some of my valuables, this way we can get money for your mother operation, how about it?" Lu bai said meaning every word he has said.

"You don't have to, we have already reached at this point and there is no going back, I'm not so petty to go back on my words." Zhan answered making lu bai to frown.

"Do you really think it's worth it staying with that beast? He is no good at all! He doesn't know what humanity is! He never cares or think about others! He only think about himself! He doesn't deserve you at all! Your too good to be in such a toxic relationship!" Lu bai said and poked xiao zhan face, making xiao zhan to hiss pain.

"I believe one day he will change and be a man with feelings, i will endure everything for my mother, look at me, even after he beat me up, I'm fine and talking to you normally." Zhan joked.

"Don't joke around, have you eaten? I bought some congee on the way, eat up while it's still hot." Lu bai asked xiao zhan who shook his head, lu bai fed his best friend, the medicine that was brought over, lu bai helped xiao zhan to apply, lu bai couldn't stop cursing Wang yibo wherever he was making Wang yibo sneeze in his office, this made Wang yibo send one of the bodyguard to buy some cold medicine thinking he was having a cold, he didn't know he was getting cursed by his secretary.

"Actually yesterday at the party, i met someone very manly and handsome, just my type." Lu bai who was done attending to xiao zhan started talking while blushing.

"With the way your blushing, it looks like my best friend, finally met his Mr right, I'm so happy for you." Zhan answered making lu bai to pout.

"We only talked as good friends, nothing happened between us." Lu bai said, love written all over his face.

"Did you want something else to happen ?" Zhan asked his best friend who slapped xiao zhan hand, making xiao zhan groan in pain.

"It's not like that! You know I'm very hard to get! I'm not so easy!" Lu bai protested, but his expression showed otherwise, zhan nodded his head, though in reality he knew his friend didn't mean a word he has said. Because if he continues to tease his friend, he will get another beating, lu bai stayed with xiao zhan the whole day, in the evening, he went to his apartment to get some clothes, then he returned to the hospital, this way it will be easy to take care of xiao zhan who is injured. Zhan protested, but he will never win against his best friend.

Four days later

Xiao zhan wounds has completely healed and he was allowed to go back home, for the past four days, xiao zhan didn't see Wang yibo, yibo never visited xiao zhan even once.

"I finished the discharge procedure, let's go." Lu bai who came inside the room where xiao zhan was admitted said.

"Okay, i have already packed everything." Zhan answered and got his things, but lu bai took the bag of zhan clothes, arguing that, someone who is sick should not do anything stressful or carry heavy things, the clothes weren't that much.

"We are going to my apartment right? You can't easily go to that beast house! He will have to come and apologise for what he did to you! Teach him a lesson." Lu bai told xiao zhan who shook his head.

"Its nothing, take me back to his house, i don't want him to apologise, because he did nothing wrong, it was my fault, i took advantage of him when he was drunk, allowed him have his way with me when he was not in his right senses, i deserve the beating and the insult." Zhan answered, thinking about it, he really was at fault, he should have refused, he should have pushed him away, but he didn't, he let everything that happened that day to happen, he really is cheap.

"Can't you stop being so naive and stupid xiao zhan! It's not your fault, I know my best friend better, he will never do such a thing! You can lie to others but not me!" Lu bai protested, he will never let his best friend blame himself of something he has never done before.

"Hey zhan stop ignoring me, say something." Lu bai added while following xiao zhan who didn't answer.
