Xiao zhan woke up early the second day, prepared breakfast for his mother who was still at the hospital, got things her mother needed and left the small apartment that he has been sharing with her mother for years, he grew up here, his father ran away, living his mother pregnant, alone without any help, her mother survived on his own, without any help from anyone, working to pay the bills, have something to eat, buy clothes for his unborn baby and medicines at the hospital to boost her blood levels, she had no one to depend on, she worked day and night, just to make sure end meets.

Zhan mother never took his son xiao zhan to an orphanage or have him get adopted, she took care of his son, made sure he went to school, have every school necessities, ate food in the morning, afternoon and night, now xiao zhan is all grown up, her mother is sick, no matter what happens to him, he will make sure her mother lives well and gets everything she deserves, xiao zhan will not let her mother who never abandoned him even once to suffer just because right now she is weak and needs help, he is going to anything that it takes to make sure her mother is all better.

"Good morning mom, here is your breakfast and your favourite, the doctor instructed me of what you should be eating." Xiao zhan greeted her mother, placed the food on a table nearby and helped her mother to sit up, zhan mother smiled at his son.

"You don't have to work so hard, don't tell me you worked over night again, I told you to rest, you don't have to overwork, I'm just sick, it's nothing serious, remember to take care of yourself too." Zhan mother answered and patted his son head concerned of his son.

"Its okay mother, I had a good sleep, I'm a strong man and still young, don't forget I'm blessed to be very healthy by budha." Zhan answered and opened the hotpot with food, serving the food for her mother.

"You know you don't have to bring me food everyday, the hospital gives us food, come let's eat together." Zhan mother complained again.

"I have already eaten and satisfied, you eat up, also the hospital food isn't as good as my cooking, you know i took your great skills in cooking, like mother like son." Zhan said and the two laughed, happily, the doctor came to check on zhan mother and saw mother and son talking happily.

"Your here, your mother is recovering first, your such a good son, it's rare to find a man like yourself taking care of her mother or even his father in this era and situation, madam xiao, your so lucky." The doctor said and started having a normal checkup on xiao zhan mother, recording zhan mother vitals.

"My son here is special and unique, I'm blessed having him as my baby boy, but he should also think about himself, looking after himself and bringing an in law home, he is no longer young." Xiao zhan mother making xiao zhan to choke on his own saliva and started coughing, her mother is just so impossible, where did the in law come from, the doctor being so talkative started teasing xiao zhan.

"Your mother is improving well, if this continues, the surgery will not be an issue, don't stress yourself, remember to take of yourself." The doctor who was done documenting and normal checkup of xiao zhan mother told xiao zhan who followed the doctor outside.

"Thank you doctor, without you i don't know what i could do, i will find the money as soon as possible and have my mommy get operated as soon as possible." Zhan answered sincerely, the doctor patted xiao zhan shoulder.

"Its nothing, it's our responsibility to make sure our patients are fine, as for the operation, don't stress yourself too much, everything is slowly." The doctor said, zhan nodded his head in understanding and thanked the doctor again, before returning back to her mothers room, where she was admitted.

"What did the doctor say?" Zhan mom asked his son.

"Don't worry mom, he said your recovering very well, you will be fine soon and be your old self, very young, beautiful and strong." Zhan answered, while cleaning the utensils her mother used to eat on a nearby sink.

"Stop flattering me, I'm already old, how could be young and beautiful!" Zhan mother said while looking at his son who stopped what he was doing, coming to sit beside her mother, zhan touched his mothers hair and face.

"Mom you just don't know, but believe me, your the most beautiful and very young, my mother is the best in the whole world, no one could compare to you." Zhan answered and kissed her mother forehead, before hugging her, zhan mother hugged his son back.

"The only thing you need to do now is get better and come back home." Zhan added 'i will make sure no harm will befall you, even if it means sacrificing my own happiness for you, i will make sure your happy mom, I'm ready to do anything for you.' Zhan didn't say out loud.

"Aww my silly boy, don't worry, your mother is fine and strong, you also heard what the doctor has said." Zhan mother said cheerfully seeing his son becoming sad again, it will hurt her and she will be more worried, seeing his only son being all worried.

"Mom there's something I'm going to do, i will come to see you later, take care of yourself and remember to call the doctor immediately if something happens." Zhan said and left to meet the old man he gave him the offer, zhan was not sure who he is going to marry, maybe an old man, very ugly and scary too, only old dangerous men can be that scary.

"Your finally here, i thought you changed your mind." The old man who was waiting xiao zhan in a small cafe said and smiled.

"I'm sorry to keep you waiting, i was held up in a traffic jam." Zhan apologised.

"Its okay, so without wasting time, let's get down to business, yesterday you called me and said you want to meet me." The old man after ordering some iced coffee for xiao zhan started talking.

"Yes sir. ..well. ..i thought about it, and I've decided to accept the offer, i will get married to him, as long as my mother will be saved." Zhan who took a deep breath said, the old man didn't expect the young beautiful boy to accept so quickly.

"Xiao zhan, have you really thought it through, this is not a joke, this is serious, once you have accepted, there's no going back and no regrets, it will be already too late even if you will change your mind." The old man answered, like trying to confirm if xiao zhan meant every word he has said.

"I'm serious and i have decided, i will marry him." Zhan answered determined.
