Janus Description

This man, Janus Edward Culsans, leans against the doorway. His right shoulder is pressed to the doorframe and his right arm hangs down. His palm is turned your direction, revealing the black tattoo that looks a bit like a wineglass that curves inward instead of outward. His left arm is crossed over his chest and the long fingers of his hand wrap around his left elbow.

He regards you calmly with an intense gaze. One thin eyebrow is raised ever so slightly higher than the other. His right eye is a bright, glittering gold while the left is shimmering silver. He has a triangular face, his eyes slanting slightly toward a sharply pointed nose. His mouth curves down slightly, either contemplative or disapproving. He seems to be waiting for something.

Finger length, dark brown hair falls around his face. His haircut seems to be self done. It's ragged and uneven, full of tangles.

He looks slightly exhausted. Leaning against the doorway is a casual posture, so you hadn't noticed before, but he breathes slowly. His eyes drift closed, then open again slowly. Faint circles linger under his eyes.

His dark blue t-shirt hangs loosely around his torso. Zeus had warned that Janus looked worse for wear, but the way that shirt hangs shows that 'worse for wear' means 'almost starving.' His pants are black, the cuffs brushing the tops of his black sneakers.

"You must be the new recruit." His voice is smooth and casual, but holds a quiet forcefulness. He seems just the right amount of confident, if a little on the irritable side, despite his somewhat subpar appearance.

For the first time in the minutes since he arrived, a small smile touched his lips. It wasn't a smile so much as a slight lift on the right corner of his mouth. His mismatched eyes shone kindly, though deep within, there's a long buried pain hidden there.

"I'm here to give you the choice Zeus never does." He steps into the room. He waves a hand, an almost delicate gesture, and a second door appears next to the first. "Zeus is convinced everyone like us needs to be here. But that isn't true. You can leave. The open door will take you through the main doors and Zeus will likely have Hecate wipe your memories. You can go through the closed door, which will deposite you in your bedroom, or you can stay."

Janus flips a coin into the air. It freezes at the crest of its arc. He really smiles then, both sides of his mouth curving upward. "Beginnings. Endings. Choices. Take your time and think carefully. After all...

"The choice is yours."
