( 1 Month Later )

It had been an entire month. Ben and I every day went to Alta to fix it up, and every day it got better. The walls were built back up and so was the gate. We worked on the houses and the parts of town that needed the most attention too. Laurence, Aphmau, Katlyn, and Aaron never returned. I don't know what happened to them, but I hope they're alright. Ben was finishing up a wall while I was working on the second story. I finally looked outside and seen that it was Midnight.

   " Ben it's time we go. It's late."

   " Alright let's go."

I walked downstairs and seen that he finished all 4 walls. I took his hand and shouted Phoenix Drop and we were back in Phoenix Drop in an instant. Ben walked towards his room, but I didn't feel like sleeping. So I walked outside and took a little walk around the village. Levin was doing a good job at reclaiming the broken parts. I was glad he took on his mother's job. I walked towards the dock by the tree and noticed a boat coming towards the dock. I walked and hid behind a tree and then the boat docked.

   ' Just in time. ' I thought

I looked and seen two woman and two men walking off the boat. I grabbed my sword out of the mist and got ready to attack.

   " Are you sure it's clear?" A woman said.

   " Of course it is. No one should be awake at this time." A man said

What do I do? I start walking out in the open. What else was I gonna do? They all see me. They get into a fighting stance and so do I.

   " Who are you? And what are you doing here in Phoenix Drop?" I said.

   " We just came from a long journey. We live here in Phoenix Drop. I am the Lord's mother."

   " Aphmau?"

   " Yes. It's me. Who are you?"

   " Do any of you have a lantern?"

They all nodded no. I sighed and took one from one of the houses. I put it up to their faces and surely it was Aphmau, Katlyn, Aaron, and Laurence. I smiled

   " Hey, guys. How are ya'll doing?"

   " Good, but still who are you? We can't see your face." Aaron said.

I giggled and put the lantern close to my face. Aphmau and Katlyn hugged me, and Aaron stood to the side. I high fived him and then there was Laurence. He looked at me and he had a smile that went from ear to ear. He ran and hugged me. He twirled me around held me close to him.

   " I'm so happy to see you again Y/n!"

   " I'm glad to see you too. All of you. After a month you start to get worried."

   " Well, we are back now aren't we?"

He picked up my other hand and connected his pinkie finger with mine.

   " I also kept my promise."

   " Yes, you did."

   " Well.............we can get the stuff from the boat in the morning. We all need some rest." Aphmau said

We all nodded and I started walking home when Laurence stopped me.

   " Where are you going?"

   " Home."

   " Can I come with? I want to catch up."

   " Sure Laurence."

He walked with me to my house and I opened the door for him. He walked in and sat on the couch in front of the fireplace. I closed the door and sat beside him.

   " We need to be quiet. Ben is asleep upstairs."

   " Alright. So what have you been doing while I've been gone Y/n?"

" Well Ben and I have been going to Alta and fixing it up every day, and I spent the night with Cadenza while she made me this new cloak and clothes."

   " Speaking of which why are you wearing a cloak again?"

   " I never told you did I?" He shook his head no.

I had explained everything to him. Why I had a cloak. Who the men were. Everything. When I was finished he looked a little mad. Scratch that he looked really mad.

   " How could they do that to you!?"

   " Laurence calm down."

  " I will most certainly not calm down! How could they have sold you!? And even so, the buyer is still looking for you!? "

His eyes started turning red. His shadow knight was coming out. He stood up and walked around the room. I stood up and stopped him, but he looked away from me.

   " Laurence you need to look at me and calm down. Your shadow knight form is coming out."

He looked at me, and he calmed down. His eyes went back to his baby blue ones.

   " Good now stay calm. Okay? Come sit down."

He did as I said and he sat beside me. He looked a lot calmer now.

   " Are you calm now?"

" Ya. Thanks. Have you had any of those dreams still with Garroth?"

   " Ya. In the last one, I had he talked about how he thought the buyer would be dead by now. Which we made a theory. Then he wondered why I didn't go with you guys and he agreed with your decision on not letting me go. Then he said how he remembered how I used to wear one, then he said something interesting..."

   " What did he say Y/n?"

   " Remember when I told you about him promising to get out?"

   " Ya."

   " Well, he said that if he didn't make it out he wanted me to move on. I told him that he would get out, but he kept trying to convince me, but the bell rang and I woke up."

   " So he want's you to move on. Well, you tell Garroth that he will make it out, and when he does then we will have a fair fight over your golden heart. Until then though I have the advantage."

I giggled at his remark.

   " Oh, so you have the advantage huh?"

   " Yup." He said popping the P

   " What's the advantage. I see Garroth when I head to bed and I see you every day."

   " The advantage is this..."

then he kissed me. I melted into the kiss and kissed back. Then he pulled away.

   "...Garroth is to shy to even kiss you. That or he'll stutter."

   " Actually Laurence you're wrong. Garroth has kissed me. When he was here and then when he was with me in the dream place."

   " What!?"

   " Ya."

  " Well, the advantage is that I'm here and I can..."

  " What?"

   " ... Spend the whole day with you!"

He took a breath and looked at me. He held my face in one of his hands.

   " I missed you a lot on the trip."

   " I missed you too Laurence."
