Aphmau walked me into the lower deck and sat me on one of the beds.

   " How did you fond us? We weren't in Phoenix Drop."

   " I just said your name, and I came here."

She nodded.

   " I'll go get you some food."

I nodded. She walked out of the cabin and I was alone. I sat on the bed and let the tears fall. I heard the door open and I saw Katelyn. She walked towards me and kneeled by the bed I was sitting on.

   " Hey stop your tears. At least you know he will be at peace."

   " ... "

   " You know I went through the same thing."

   " Really?"

   " Ya. His name was Jeffory. Jeffory the Golden Heart. He was my best friend and I eventually grew to start liking him. I never knew how he felt. I just know that the girl back there that helped us get to Nicole? She was his daughter."

   " What?"

   " Ya. That's why I ran after her. Anyway, Zane killed him because he let Aphmau go instead of capturing her. Afterwards, I went to check on Abby and she told me how much he had liked me. I realized I could have had a relationship with him and things would have been completely different. "

   " How did you get over it?"

   " Well, I had Aphmau there to help me. She helped me calm down. I just had to realize that he was in a better place than here."

I nodded and I hugged Katlyn. She hugged me back and the tears stopped flowing from my face. We pulled away.

   " It was nothing really. I just wanted to do what Aph did for me. Especially since I have been down the same road."

   " It's like that with Aph too. We both lost years of our lives where we could have been taking care of our sons. I just feel....."

   " Angry, Sad? I know. Like I said it's going to take some time. I promise it will get better."

I nodded and Aphmau came in with food. She set the tray in front of me and gave me some water. I started drinking and eating the food she gave me. It was freshly cooked.

   " So where are we heading?"

   " We don't exactly know. We are heading northeast though. "

I nodded and they stayed there with me. Talking to me. We laughed and I enjoyed their company. It made me feel happy that they were always going to be there for me. They were like sisters to me. They were family.
