"I can't help but want oceans to part,

cause I'm overcome in this war of hearts..."

"I already tried calling multiple times... Y/N!" Taehyung yells out and runs towards my weak form. He embraces me just as I was about to lose my balance, cradling me gently in his arms. "I was so worried. You were so late and your phone was off and..."

His raspy voice disappears towards the end of the sentence. Peeking through his shoulder, I see another figure standing in front of my apartment building.

Yoongi?

What is he doing here?

Taehyung slowly releases me from his arms, putting his hands on the side of my shoulders, and stares at my face worriedly.

"Is everything alright?" He asks, obviously having noticed my stuporous gaze. "You were supposed to be here an hour ago."

Yoongi's eyes are fixated on me, his slightly frowned brows and pursed lips suggest to me that most probably he's told Taehyung all about him bumping into Jaebum threatening me today.

What happened to minding his own business?

Well, of course he'd tell him. Taehyung is almost like his younger brother and I'm the girl that he's worried is going to hurt him.

"Um," I mutter, my mind frantically searching for plausible excuses. "I was chatting with Yuri after classes and completely lost track of time. She's always on and on about her boyfriend problems and I couldn't get out of it."

Taehyung cocks a brow and inhales heavily.

"But me and Yoongi passed by your university a couple of times with my car. That was the first place I guessed you'd be at."

My palms start to get cold and sweaty and I gulp loudly. They've been searching for me?

Lying has never been a strong suit of mine, as it made me extremely nervous and jumpy.

"Yes, that's because-" I stutter, choking on my words. "That's because we were sitting on a bench at the university park. It's all the way in the back of the building and that's probably why you haven't spotted us."

I blurt the words out as quickly as I can, in hope that I sound convincing.

Taehyung pushes the inside of his cheek with his tongue, glaring at me pensively. After a few seconds, his hardened expression breaks into a relieved one.

"Okay. All that matters is that you're here now." He says softly and hugs me again, this time a little bit lighter but I can still feel the worry in his body.

My gaze falls on Yoongi, whose arms are crossed in front of his chest and his eyes narrowed at me, as though they are reaching towards the most hidden corners of my mind.

I clear my throat nervously as my conscience is burning up under Yoongi's intense and judgmental glare.

"Actually, Taehyung," My voice shakes and my eyes go back and forth from his face to the ground under my feet. "I ran into Jaebum today."

I raise my eyes to meet his, expecting to see his startled expression, but instead, he just looks at me calmly.

"I know that." He replies and instantly confirms my suspicions of Yoongi spilling everything. "Yoongi hyung called me just as I was wondering what was taking you so long. That's why I was so worried. I thought something horrible might have happened to you."

I shake my head, my fingers fidgeting with a button on my coat. I decide it's probably better if I tell him everything. I have absolutely no idea how much of my conversation with Jaebum Yoongi has actually heard.

"No, no. I'm okay. Jaebum's face isn't though." I offer Taehyung a weak smile. "But, he did try to threaten me. He said-"

Taehyung raises his hand, cutting me off in the middle of my sentence, and I stare at him questioningly.

"That's okay. You don't need to worry about that now. It's already taken care of."

Taehyung glares at his cousin knowingly and Yoongi gives him a small nod, almost imperceptibly, the stone cold expression still resting on his face.

I look at them both, feeling lost.

"Already taken care of"? What does that mean?

Usually in the movies, when they say that, it means that someone's been or is about to be murdered.

"What?" I ask, perplexed.

Taehyung brings his arm around my waist and pulls me gently towards him. My whole body tightens as my brain wraps around his last words nervously.

"All you need to know is that Jaebum won't be bothering you anytime soon." Taehyung utters blankly.

I glare at Yoongi who's been oddly silent during this entire conversation. His face doesn't offer me much clarity either.

"Since everything's okay now, I'll get going." The black-haired boy announces dryly, finally breaking through his statuesque posture. "Taehyung, I'll call you later."

The suspense in his voice sends cold chills down my spine and I shiver.

Taehyung's facial features harden and he gives his cousin a firm nod.

"Okay, hyung. Talk to you later."

The way these two look at each other makes me wonder what the hell is going on. Yoongi hops in his car quickly and before I can say anything he's out of our sight.

Taehyung and I go up to my apartment in complete silence as I feel a pulsating pain starting to emerge from my head. My brain is on fire, almost as if someone's thrown it in a frying pan.

My trembling fingers barely open the door, my heart vigorously beating against my chest. Taehyung doesn't say a word, though visibly observing my strange behavior, but I'm pretty sure he thinks it's because of the scare of my encounter with Jaebum earlier today.

I sigh heavily while we take off our coats. My mind is torn between telling Taehyung about the real reason I was late today or heartlessly lie to his face.

To the face of the man that I've grown to care about so deeply, that it's tearing me up inside to hurt him.

Taehyung reaches out to wrap his hands around my waist, interrupting my train of thought.

"I've been thinking about you all day." He whispers, stroking my cheek with his thumb. His breath brushes on my neck and I inhale sharply. Before I have the chance to reply, he starts giving me sweet butterfly kisses on my jaw.

"Taehyung." I say under my breath, the words clasping on my throat.

"Mmm?" He hums, his lips busy travelling towards my neck.

"I have to tell you something."

I gasp when I feel him gently sucking on the crook of my neck. His grip on the sides of my waist tightens and the arousing sensation makes me arch my back, pushing my body towards his.

My mind slowly starts to shut down, clouding my judgment.

"Is it about us?" I hear his husky low voice right next to my ear.

"N- No." And yes.

He slides his hand under my shirt, reaching for my bra, and unclasps it skillfully. He pushes me towards the wall, leaving me little to no room for escaping.

"Is it something concerning your safety and well-being?" He asks again, raising his eyes to meet mine, and licks his lips seductively. The way he looks at me leaves me out of breath, preventing me from thinking straight.

"No."

"Is it something that you have to tell me right now?"

"No..."

"Then it can wait."

He growls and picks me up abruptly while smashing his lips against mine. My body quickly responds to his and I wrap my hands around his neck, burying them in his soft hair.

Taehyung places me down on my bed, his touch a little bit rougher than the first time we were together. He urgently takes my shirt off and starts kissing the lower part of my abdomen, his hands fidgeting with the zipper of my jeans.

"I want to spend the rest of the night pleasuring the most amazing girl in the world." He whispers and pulls his body up towards, hovering over my chest. He kneads on my breasts as his tongue traces my lips, making a small moan escape from my mouth.

"My girl." He groans softly, his brown orbs staring deep into mine.

Taehyung stands up on his knees and takes his shirt off, running his fingers through his hair, then looks down at me. I try to calm my heart beating and take a deep breath in. His eyes glued to mine, he positions my waist perfectly for him.

Then he leans in and our bodies collide, sending a rush of adrenaline in my veins. Taehyung buries his face in my neck, his heavy breathing right next to my ear as he nibbles on it. I throw my head back, tugging onto his hair. He grinds towards me and I moan breathlessly. The words I hear him whisper into my ear next leave me speechless.

"I love you. So fucking much."
