"Just when I thought I had forgotten you,

sleep took over

and we were dancing again."

A sweet scent of vanilla filled the air that I inhaled slowly. Something soft tickled my cheek and I let out a small laugh, opening my eyes against the sun rays that caressed my eyelashes.

"Hey, babe. Did you sleep well?" A gentle melodic voice asks and I squint my eyes to focus on the male figure sitting next to me.

"Jungkook?" I gasp in disbelief, shifting my whole body to face his as I grasp his hand to check if he's real. "You're here?"

"Of course I am." Jungkook frowned, slightly surprised at the question. His hazelnut brown bangs fell before his beautiful eyes that sparkled magically, reflecting the sunlight. He put his other hand on mine and I look at it, amazed at how real everything feels.

"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked softly, putting a strand of my hair behind my ear. My eyes traveled somewhere behind him, scanning our surroundings. I recognized that we were in Jungkook's room, but everything looked slightly different. Somewhat lighter. Even Jungkook himself was wearing a snow-white loose shirt and white pants that stretched all the way down to his bare feet.

"Babe, what's the matter? You seem tense." He asked, calmly observing my face. I feel a wave of anxiety wash over me as my mind painfully reminded me of what happened today. Or was it yesterday? I couldn't seem to remember.

"Jungkook, did you talk to Taehyung?" I inquire as Jungkook's palms tenderly engulf mine. His perfectly sculpted eyebrows raise and he purses his lips as if he was deep in thought.

"Who?"

I feel all the blood leave my face and direct towards my vigorously pumping heart.

"Kim Taehyung, Jungkook." I emphasize on the name and stare in his eyes, patiently awaiting some kind of a reaction from his side. "Your best friend?"

Jungkook grins, uncovering a perfect set of teeth as his pink lips stretch in a wide smile.

"Babe, what are you talking about? My best friends are Jimin and Hoseok." Jungkook frowns. "And Namjoon hyung, but he studies in America so we rarely see each other."

All the muscles in my body stiffen, making it impossible for me to move. My thoughts start crashing against my brain as a terrifying feeling of dismay creeps up in my chest.

"Jungkook, are you joking? Tell me this is a joke." I utter, my voice raspy and hoarse. He shakes his head slowly.

"Babe, I don't know a person named Taehyung." He says very softly, as though he is talking to a child.

The tranquility in his composure starts freaking me out, my breathing becomes shallow.

Jungkook pulls me deep into his embrace, placing me so that my head can lay on his chest. A gentle breeze enters through the window, the cool fresh air making my skin bristle. Jungkook starts stroking my hair tenderly, his deep orbs looking down towards me full of love and affection.

"You're probably confused, babe." He says, now caressing my cheek with his thumb. "You slept a lot. Perhaps you're still dreaming." He lets out a light chuckle.

"Yes, probably." I agree, suddenly starting to doze off even though I don't remember sleeping. Something was clouding my mind, I felt like I was forgetting something very important. I closed my eyelids slowly.

"Mhmm." I hummed peacefully as Jungkook's soft palm stroked through my long hair. "This feels nice."

"It does, doesn't it?" Jungkook smirks, playing with a strand of my hair, rolling it on his finger. "You know what would feel even better?"

"What?" I ask under my breath, still struggling to remember the thing I was forgetting, but it escaped my mind once again.

"A nice relaxing bubble bath." Jungkook chuckled, suddenly ceasing to stroke my hair causing me to open my eyes and look at him.

"A bubble bath?" I knit my eyebrows, sucking on my cheek. "I don't know, I'm not a fan of those."

"You'll become one when you let me arrange it for you." Jungkook throws me a convincing look, cupping my cheek and his touch once again has a strange intoxicating effect on me. "Trust me."

"Okay then." I nod. Jungkook stands up and extends his arm towards me, inviting me with his eyes to take it. I hesitate for a little bit, all of a sudden feeling weird.

"Come on now." He urges me and I take his hand at last, our fingers locking in a firm grip. I follow him sheepishly through the hall, my legs moving on their own, making me feel like I have no control whatsoever over my body.

"There." Jungkook beams as we enter the bathroom, chills running down my spine as my bare feet step on the cold tiles. "You start the water, fill the tub and make yourself comfortable. In the meantime, I'll go and find some bubble bath essentials." He winks at me and gives me a sweet peck on the forehead.

"Remember, the water shouldn't be too hot."

"Okay." I continue agreeing and look around the bathroom in confusion. Jungkook closes the door behind himself, leaving me to stand there awkwardly. I suddenly have no idea what to do, feeling like a complete alien in an ordinary bathroom.

Following his instructions, I start filling the tub, staring at the water falling down on the white surface the whole time. My mind is oddly empty, as if I'm in some kind of a trance.

"Is everything set, babe?" I hear Jungkook's muffled voice calling me out from behind the door.

"Yes." I reply, my tone dry and flat, as though there's no emotion in it.

"Okay, get in and I'll be right over." He chimes. I start taking off my clothes, looking at them in amazement. I don't remember having them. But then again, maybe I'm just confused from sleeping too much, just like Jungkook said.

Leaving my clothes on the tile floor, I set one of my feet in the bathtub, carefully stepping in. The water is just the perfect temperature and I quickly dive my whole body in it, as some of the liquid splashes on the floor. I inhale deeply, enjoying the pleasant way in which the water welcomes my body.

This really is relaxing.

I rest my head on the cold surface of the tub, staring at the white ceiling. My mind is completely calm and blank, but I just can't ignore the weird feeling of uneasiness I have resting in upper abdomen. I inhale deeply, trying to make my breaths deeper and longer so that I can chase away this knot formed in my gut.

The warm water splashes against my face playfully. I close my eyes, a feeling of sleepiness coming over me. Nothing in the world can bother me now. All of my problems and troubles seem far, far away. I can't even seem to remember them anymore.

I slide even deeper in the tub, the water slightly touching my lower lip. I feel as light as a feather in the water's embrace. I hope Jungkook comes soon, because I'm about to doze off.

It's so quiet outside, I can't even hear his steps outside anymore. My mind is at complete peace right now. I wonder what will happen if I sink into the tub a little more. Just a little...

The water flows into my nostrils, making me cough. Stupid, stupid Y/N, can't you see you're going to drown yourself?

But this feels so good. I want to dive even deeper in this feeling of peace and tranquility. Deeper, and deeper. Until I completely disappear. Until I dissipate in this blissful silence, and my soul is at ease at last...

My bliss is abruptly interrupted when I hear distant thuds. Who dares bother me right now?

Is someone screaming?

I try my hardest to sharpen my hearing, but my ears betray me. I faintly hear someone yelling my name, but I don't respond.

Why are they yelling? Can't they just talk like a normal person?

I feel like the screams are coming closer and closer. All of a sudden I feel like something's preventing me from breathing. My lungs don't seem to work anymore, cutting off my air inflow. My eyes don't listen to me either, because it looks like I can't open them. None of my body parts seem to be under my control, making me feel paralyzed and trapped.

"Y/N! Oh, God, Y/N, please!"

A woman's voice pierces through the silence that fills my mind. It's familiar. Have I heard it somewhere before?

"No! Y/N, wake up! Y/N!"

A pair of hands grab me by the sides, shaking me violently. It's strange how I can feel everything now, yet I can't respond.

"Is she breathing? Oh, God, she's not." Another voice, this time of a male, joins in. It's shaky and hoarse. "Celine, she's not breathing!"

Why is everyone panicking right now? I feel just fine.

"Jimin, do something!" The female voice cries out. "Call an ambulance! Now!"

I feel someone pull me into their embrace, shaking frantically as they touch my face with their shaky cold fingers.

"Stay with me, Y/N. Oh, God, what have you done, Y/N?" The female weeps. "Don't you dare leave me!"

"They're on their way." The male voice returns, this time a little bit more stable. "God, do you think she did this on purpose?"

"I have no fucking idea, Jimin!" The woman yelled out in desperation, then her voice suddenly turned softer, as she mumbled something under her breath. "Please, Y/N, please. Open your eyes, please..."

I started hearing her voice more and more faintly until her words sounded remote and distant.

"I won't let you leave me. Don't you dare leave me. I'll keep talking to you until you open your eyes. Please, Y/N. She begged and begged until eventually, I couldn't hear her anymore.

Darkness fell onto me as I doze off into a deep slumber.
