Chapter 6- Social Media & Rising Star Sierra Summers

Earlier that day: Liam's POV

"Come on, Liam, one little video. You know what my manager said, we both need to start posting on Instagram more, it's one of the best ways to get our careers to boost." Sierra states seriously as she pulls out her phone and tapping onto the camera app.

Sierra Summers is a rising actress, she's pretty popular since her last movie took off, and since my coach is good friends with her manager they thought it was a brilliant idea that we start 'fake dating' so people can grow more intrigued with Sierra than they already are. My coach also thought this was a good idea for myself since it'll help grow the attention with my rise in college football as well.

"I'm not really in the mood—" I begin to protest only for her to shoot me a warning glare with those devious green almond shape eyes of hers, that's definitely one way to get me to agree. That girl is frightening.

"Okay, fine." I say in defeat, not wanting to get on her bad side since she's already not the nicest. Sierra doesn't waste no time to get what she wants, and roughly grabs my hands that were stuffed into my warm pockets, and bring them out into the cold and around her small waist so I'm standing behind her.

Don't get me wrong, Sierra, is a nice girl, sometimes, but she's very into social media and her image to the public eye. Most of the time she comes off very snappy and rude— to me at least. I've also witnessed a few times Sierra's manager trying to put her best interests at heart, doing things for her that normal managers wouldn't normally do solely for the fact that she cares about Sierra, but she absolutely has no appreciation for it since she feels very entitled to the things people do for her.

To say the least Sierra and I have no actual chemistry whatsoever— like zero.

Sierra doesn't hesitate to get the job done and presses the red record button at the bottom of the screen. I force on a smile, staring down at her 'lovingly' just like her manager has been instructing me to do for the last two weeks. She lets out some soft giggles to act like we're having some fun outside with the fresh winter snow.

"Liam," she giggles at the screen with a playful eye roll in my direction, and I make sure to continue to keep my arms around her for the camera because I will literally get told off by her if I don't— well, at least she knows how to pretend to act nice.

Within seconds she posts the videos, and once it's finally out there she pushes my arms off of her. Isn't she the sweetest? Definitely not a handful to work with or anything!

She flips her ponytail dramatically and flashes me a proud grin on her lips, waiting to hear some sort of compliment out of me. "Don't you think I'm such a skilled actress?"

This girl loves compliments but hates giving them.

"So amazing, Sierra!" I remark, fake enthusiasm laced in my voice as a sarcastic smile is on display for her to get the hint— but she doesn't.

She never gets my sarcasm, never, she always thinks I'm actually complimenting her.

I guess it works in my favor because that's one way to avoid an argument.

A sound near the back gates startles me from my thoughts and I instantly look over at Sierra curiously— who already just so happened to be giving me a simple shrug in response to my questioning gaze. I reminded her earlier to be careful for paparazzi, they've been crazy obsessed with following her around lately, so one of the last things I want is them finding out my home address and harassing my family because she wasn't careful enough.

But when I turn my head to see who was there, there was absolutely no one.

________
Present time: Giana's POV

"This movie is so lame," I whine with a pout as I throw back some popcorn to ease the pain of what I'm watching. "You picked it." Matt counters with a low laugh and I was about to open my mouth to protest but he was actually right for once.

This movie has been playing for at least an hour already, and the only thing that has happened is one zombie chasing after another in an old abandoned high school, there's like no plot to the story whatsoever!

The trailer looked good but now as I'm starting to watch it, it kinda sucks, I heard people have been going crazy for it because of this new girl to Hollywood named, Sierra Summers— I think that's her name anyways.

Those two annoying zombies keep chasing after this one human who's a cheerleader for her school, and the only reason she's actually there is because she stayed back for practice when a zombie outbreak occurred! Who goes to school during a zombie outbreak?! Anyways, the girl who I think is Sierra is playing the cheerleader, and damn she doesn't stop screaming and running the entire movie!

She looks very familiar but I can't place my finger on where I've seen her before, I must've watched another movie with her in it in the past.

"What's even so fascinating about this cheerleader? I feel like she would be a snob in real life." I remark a little too loudly, earning a deep chuckle in the dark room that definitely wasn't from Matt.

Emma is right, I think I've gone absolutely crazy, because that laugh sounds like that one person I've vowed not to think about. It can't be. Not in a million years. I shake the insane thought off and focus my attention onto Matt and solely on Matt, so I don't distract myself from all the good progress I've made this week.

"She's human, they're zombies, they're hungry zombies." Matt states the obvious as he emphasizes the 'hungry' part as if I was stupid and I roll my eyes at his sarcastic usual behavior.

He always like to point out the obvious.

"Aren't you a know it all?" I whisper with an untamed laugh as my eyes do there best to focus on the screen. We might get thrown out with how loud we're being, but I don't care because I'm actually having fun for once.

"I know that this is a date." He winks smoothly, but as soon as those few words escaped his lips, random pieces of popcorn go flying across from the first few rows in front of us and slamming right into Matt's forehead.

I bite my lip in a attempt to hold back a chuckle, lowkey impressed, that was a pretty good throw for a piece of popcorn.

Matt wipes the buttery goodness off his forehead and I give him a know-it-all-smirk. "I think someone wants you to be quiet."

We're totally getting kicked out.

"I would like to see them try." He replies confidently.

And there goes some more popcorn flying directly at his forehead. Again.
