Chapter 12- Sayounara Valentines.

I couldn’t sleep at night because of that asdfghjkl incident that morning with him; that scene. I rolled and rolled and rolled on the bed, thinking about it over and over; whether he mean it or not. I shouldn’t doubt him but my heart just can’t hold it back no more. Eventually, I texted him.

To: MY HOTTEST FIANCE (Yes I changed his contact name).

Hey, you sleeping?

I stared at the phone, waiting for a reply. Three minutes past, four, five, six....

From: MY HOTTEST FIANCE

On the bed. Ready to sleep. You’re rolling over and over on your bed because you can’t forget what I did to you this morning.

    I blushed.

To: MY HOTTEST FIANCE

Okay bye goodnight .-.

.

From: MY HOTTEST FIANCE

I’ll haunt you in your dreams, be prepared.

.

To: MY HOTTEST FIANCE

I SAID BYE!

.

From: MY HOTTEST FIANCE

You’re blushing.

After that, I ignored him. Eventually, I fell asleep. The next morning, I made Yukina cried because I screamed when I woke up. Yeah, I screamed because I was late for my appointment with Akito. Yukina cried because she was so shocked; she thought I was a ghost.

I ran downstairs to get some water and breakfast then saw Akito who was waiting for me outside the house since half an hour ago. I rushed to him and we headed to the main city.

“You screamed like hell.” He commented as he turned into a corner.

I giggled. “I was so panicked.”

“And I heard Yukina screamed and cried too.”

I laughed at that. “I feel sorry for her, she’s like a 6 year old kid. I had to put her back to sleep.”

Suddenly, my phone rang. Caller ID: MY HOTTEST FIANCE. I smiled before answering it.

    “Hello mister.” I said.

“Wow, you seemed happy. You got plans today?” he guessed.

“Mr I-Know-Everything, huh. Yeah, I’m going out with Akito. How are you over there?” I asked.

    “Everything’s normal. Just fine.”

“Oh okay, have you taken your breakfast?”

“Yes but I missed your sandwich.”

    “Cheesy~”

    “You’re blushing.”

    “I am not!”

He cut off the call and I can imagine him laughing to himself right now. Akito laughed. “You are so tsundere.” He said.

I glared at him. “I’ll tell Akashi!”

“Oh he’ll admit the same. He’ll be on my side.”

“No! He’ll be on my side! Now, drive!”

Akito chuckled and continued the journey.

Meanwhile, at the hospital....

“I-Inori-Sama!” the nurse panicked. She tried to hold her back but Inori was surprisingly strong despite of her weak condition right now. Without further delays, she sped off to outside of the hospital. With one main goal in her evil heart.

Kill she who goes by the name Akari Kizuna; Akashi Seijuurou’s claimed wife.

“Candy!?” I asked. “No! Akashi don’t like sweet things!”

    “Really? But he likes you.”

    “I’m not sweet!”

    “You’re dull?”

    “I’m not!”

    “Sour?”

    “Ugh, fine, I’m sweet.”

    “Ew.”

    I laughed. “You’re jealous Akito!”

    “Why should I?”

    “Because you are!”

    “You’re ridiculous.”

    “I know. We both are.”

    “I’m not.”

“I meant Akashi and me.” I stuck out my tongue at him. He pulled my nose then walked away. I pouted then followed him. Wow, buying presents for guys are so much fuss!

“Why not just give him chocolates?” he suggested.

That reminds me.... “WHY DID I NOT THINK ABOUT THAT!?” I screamed.

Akito winced. “Ow, no need to shout. I’m right here.”

I sighed then raised my fist in the air. “Let’s go buy chocolates!!!!”

“Don’t get too excited. It’s annoying.”

    “You’re jealous of me.”

    “Could you stop saying jealous!”

    “No!”

    “I feel like slapping you.”

“Slap me and I’ll tell Akashi and he’ll kill you!”

He tch-ed and turned away. I giggled. At the mention of ‘Akashi’, he can never win! “Why not make chocolates?” Akito asked.

“Hm, yeah. Let’s buy the ingredients first.” I said. So we walked by the streets, watching the cars passing by, some fast, some slow. Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw a girl around my age (do we even call that a girl XD) with a beautiful smile across her face, her hair is the colour of the sky, her eyes is the colour of ocean blue. She has fair skin and her long hair reached her mid-back.

Familiar.

Beside her is a guy around my age too. He has grey hair and blank eyes. Familiar too.

    “Seikina?” the girl asked.

    “Kizuna.” Akito corrected.

Suddenly, she hugged me. I went speechless and she sobbed. “Akashi-kun told me about you.... you’re not Seikina’s replacement, I accept you as a friend. Let’s just assume I’ve met you before.” She said onto my shoulder. I returned her hug and patted her back.

    “Chiharu, ne?” I smiled.

She hugged tighter. “Kizuna. Kizuna. Kizuna. Kizuna.” She chanted.

“Long time no see, Chiharu. I hear you’re getting married.” I said.

She pulled back and studied my face, her eyes red because of crying. “Yeah, Chihiro and me are getting married next week. Be sure to come okay? We’re doing it at Tokyo since that’s our hometown.” She said.

“Of course I’ll come!” I exclaimed. “I’m so excited!!!!”

We laughed together. I turned to Chihiro. “Hey.... Chihiro.” I waved my hand a bit. He smiled a bit and nodded. We then waved goodbye because they have some business to attend to.

I grinned widely. “Aaahhhh! I’m so happy they’re getting married!” I squealed. Akito just watched me.

Seijuurou.

[When I write this, it doesn’t really mean it’s his point of view, you know what I mean when you read what’s coming]

The air in Osaka is different with Kyoto. Akashi sipped his tea he ordered and personally sent to his hotel room where he is staying. It’s been an hour since he called Kizuna. He was gambling with himself, whether to call her again, text her or just let her be.

Suddenly, his phone rang. It’s not Kizuna, he can feel it. Caller ID: 075-434-8952. He mentally cursed at the caller. He answered the call but remained silent, waiting for the caller to speak first.

“Sei-kun!!” that damned voice he don’t want to hear rang in his ears. When he didn’t answer, she continued. “Sei-kun! You’ll be mine! With this, you’ll be mine! No one will get on the way of our love! Sei-kun! Sei—“

He cut off the call, gripping it so tight, he was having a hard time battling the urge to throw the phone to the wall and let it crash into pieces. Kazumi, Kazumi, Kazumi, Kazumi. Why must she come back to shatter his life? Why can’t she just leave him alone? She’s the one he must eliminate. Immediately.

Suddenly, his heartbeat pattern went fast. Akashi frowned. What’s happening? Something in his heart, head, mind, knew that something had gone wrong or something will go wrong. He took a deep breath and calmed himself. He remembered what Akito had said, “Don’t forget yourself, Akashi.”

Kizuna.

“Hey, wait!” I called to Akito when he had walked far ahead from me.

“You’re like a tortoise, slowpoke!” he teased. I pouted and ran to him. We waited for the green light for pedestrians to appear by the road. There weren’t so many cars that day so it’s kinda calm.

“You have to help me with the chocolates.” I said.

    “Not gonna. I have work.”

“Please! You’ll get the credits too. I’ll write there ‘love and kisses from Kizuna and Akito’!”

“I’m not loving him or even gonna give him my kiss.”

    “YOU GET WHAT I MEAN!”

“No, I don’t. Bye, tortoise!” he said, grinning when I attempted to hit him but he ran across the road. The light’s green THANK GOD!

“Don’t call me tortoise!” I said and went to him. He was already on the other side of the road, waving at me. I laughed then as if was told, I turned my head to see if there’s other people.

No, there was only one car. Heading towards me, in a high speed.

I ran but by the time I started my step, something ridiculously big hit me and the world spun.

    “KIZUNA!!!!”

The last thing I saw was red, red, all red.

Seijuurou.

Akashi was on the way to the conference hall from his room when his phone rang. Caller ID: Akito. He frowned.

“Yes?” he asked when he answered the call.

Akito was panting, his voice was shaking. “Kizuna.... she....!” and what Akito said after that almost stopped his heart right away.

That night, Akashi arrived at Kyoto Hospital. He ran to the reception and saw Akito. He was brought to the ICU and met the doctor there.

“She fractured her right leg and broke her right arm. Suffered brain concussion for a short moment and she won’t be waking up for the while. Probably, two to three days. Her injuries is not so critical but enough to make us panic. You were lucky she was brought here quickly.” The doctor explained.

Akito and Akashi both released a sigh of relief; relieved at the thought that she’s still alive.

“Ah, there’s a bad news though,” the doctor spoke before walking away. “She lost certain part of her memory. Not major loss but it’ll stress her when she wakes up though.”
