Chapter 4- His special one.
We arrived at the police station 5 minutes later and had to wait outside the questioning room, praying for the best for Yukina. She’s still a kid she shouldn’t be in there. Half and hour later, she got out of the room, with a brave face. She went to me and sat on my lap as Akashi stood to have a small talk with the police.
After he’d done, we walked back to his car. “You should transfer her to another school.” I suggested.
“That’s what I’m thinking. Maybe all-girls school will do.” He replied.
“No!” Yukina broke in. “I love my friends there! I don’t want to leave ‘em!”
Akashi and I shared a look and I shrugged. “We’ll think about this.” I said.
“Make sure you do the best.” Yukina said.
“I will.”

“Uh dammit,” I cursed and sighed. “This is the 100th time!”
Today, I started working at Akashi’s company. Since my office is yet to be done, I stayed at Akashi’s while he’s doing his own stuffs. I was straightening the colored cables of the straight cabel and it hurts when you’re doing it too hard; it burns your skin.
Akashi looked up from his papers. “Does it bleed?” he asked, concerned.
“Yeah, a bit. Where’s the aid-kit?”
“Outside, turn left and in the green cabinet there.” He said.
“Thanks,” I said and went out, turned left and saw the green cabinet. I went to it. The aid-kit was neat, well it’s obvious that no one’s using it. I took out the antiseptic, applied it on my pointing finger and wrapped a plaster around it.
“Straightening a cable?” a voice asked. I turned my head and saw a blondie.
I nodded. “Yeah, how did you know?”
He smiled. “I once did that,” he held out his hand. “I’m Sorata Kisaragi. Call me Kisaragi.”
I shook his hand. “Nice to meet you, Kisaragi.”
“Kisaragi,” another voice broke in. “Fetch me a drink, please.”
We turned our heads and saw a black-haired guy that seems familiar to me. Familiar, really, really familiar. I frowned. He watched me with a hint of annoyance in his pretty green eyes.
“Kizuna,” he spoke.
“What?” I looked away.
“That redhead, um—Akashi, um—boss, called you.” He said and looked away as well.
I nodded and walked past him but stopped when I’m beside him. His scent seems so familiar. “Aki...” I spoke, looking up at him, seeing his widened eyes staring straight at me. “..to....”
It was too fast; he pushed me to the wall, grabbing my shirt tight and I winced. What the hell happened!? HOW DID I KNOW HIS NAME!? WHAT IS GOING ON!? We are both confused.
“Who..” he hissed, eyes showing so much fear and pain. “..are you?”
“A-akari—“
“Don’t lie to me!!!!” he yelled. I flinched and stayed still. His face was so close that our nose are almost touching.
“Akito—“
“Don’t call my name!” he shouted. What is wrong with this guy? Getting so emotional, I only called his name....
“Akito!” a voice warned and he let me go. I turned to see and saw all eyes on us, including Akashi who had gone out of his office, leaning one side against the door frame. Akito turned to Akashi as well, scowled and walked off, pushing me intentionally on the way. I watched him.
I wonder what made him so mad.
I moved to follow him but, “Kizuna, stay.” Akashi ordered. I pouted and turned back to walk to his office. He shut the door behind him and stared at me.
“Put your cables away and follow me,” he said and walked out. I blinked, did as what he told me and followed him outside, to the car park—to his car. We waited till the engine’s hot then he started to drive.
“Where are we going?” I questioned.
“Don’t ask.” He replied. I pouted.
“Why is he—um, Akito, is it, why is he so mad at me?” I decided to ask.
“I guess he’s just as depressed as me. It’s just that maybe he wasn’t able to accept the fact that you kinda look like Kina, your attitudes and also, how you suddenly know our names. It’s like.... like..”
“Like I’m her?” I glanced at him before continuing what I wanted to say. “Honestly, I think Kina is the best girl you’ve ever met? She’s like the sweetheart of everyone’s heart,” I smiled. “I wish I’ve met her.”
“You know Mibuchi Reo?” he asked.
I tilted my head. “Nope. Who is that?”
He shook his head. “Nothing.”
I leaned the side of my head on the window, watching him. His calm face like nothing happened, though I could see the burden, the pain, the sorrow, the depression in his heterochromatic eyes. I’ve never heard him sigh. It’s like he’s planning to put the burden of the whole world on his shoulders.
“Rest,” I muttered.
He glanced at me. “What?”
I blinked. “What? Did I say anything?”
“I heard you said ‘rest’, you tired or what?”
I flushed red in embarrassment. “I was day-dreaming. Sorry.”
He nodded once and pulled up in front of a huge white gate. We got out. I looked around. The surrounding’s quiet and calm. I followed him inside and went up a hill like Jack and Jill. And then we arrived in front of a white cemetery monument with a sweet name written on it;
Akane Seikina.
As if on cue, the wind blowed so hard and I knelt down in front of it, tears streaming down my cheeks. I cried, I don’t know why. The tears just came out and I sobbed. I reached out and touched her grave.
“Sei....kina....” I muttered. It’s like calling out my own name, except that it isn’t. The grave was abnormally warm even though it’s snowing. I rubbed my hands together and cried again.
“She’s a strong one. We all love her.” Akashi spoke behind me. I buried my face onto my muffler and sobbed, trying the hell out to calm down.
“Let’s go home. You’ll catch a cold if you stay out too much.” He said again.
He’s sad. More than me. He’s holding back his tears. Fighting his sorrow.
“Won’t you cry?” I asked.
He went silent then, “I’ve cried a million times, maybe more.”

“Hot chocolate!” Yukina yelled, rushing into the kitchen and crashed onto me, making me stagger and the mug of hot chocolate I’m holding almost fell from my grasp.
“Yukina, halt!” I shrieked and she giggled.
We settled down and sipped some of it. “Where’s—“ I wanted to ask but she cut me off before I could even finish my line.
“Oh, nii-chan? He got out of the shower just now and watched the television. Guess he’s in the living room.” She said.
I nodded and glanced at her. “I’ll check on him a bit.”
“Mmkay.” She answered short and I made way towards the spacious living room. The television is on, showing a tv series of somewhat like CSI. I saw him; white t-shirt, black tracksuit, wet red hair, sleeping silently on the couch. He was back-facing the television, sleeping like a small kid, face so innocent. My heart sank.
“You must’ve been very tired.” I whispered to myself and turned off the television. My hand reached out and touched his cold cheek.
“I’ll be your Kina, though not the same but I’ll try.”
Deep down to the core of my heart, I wanted him to rest for one day, rest, rest from all these shits, rest his eyes, rest his efforts. He’s working too much. No, he’s burdened. But when ‘Kina’ is mentioned, he softened, his expression and mood changes. Kina is indeed his special one.
Actually, I’ll be his Kizuna, lifting all his burdens, I wish I’m a fairy, points my wand at him and he’ll be just fine, living like a normal person, leading a normal life. Not stressed like him. I’ll try to be his pain reliever. Dear Kina, I wish you were here. I wish you were here to ease him. He’s nothing without you.
I wish you’d just come back.
Kina....

“I leave him to you.”
