Yin And Yang #2!

Title: "(Y/n) (L/n): Origins!"

--------

When I was just a child, I thought that everything will go your way as long as you have good intentions.

A young boy with (H/c) hair looked at a poster on a building of All Might. It said, "You too can become a hero!" He looked at it with wide happy and hopeful eyes. He was completely oblivious to a hero's head being stomped to mush in an alleyway just a few feet behind of him.

And I'll be able to do whatever I need to, cause I have my sister, who's gonna be a hero!

The same young boy sat with his older sister. She was caressing his head as he watched an old-timey anime. His sister was crying, but she was hiding it, so he couldn't tell.

I was so clouded, and yet I still admire how oblivious I was. I honestly wish every now and then that I still thought that simply.

------

Eventually, I learned that the world wasn't all happy. And that I couldn't become a hero.

That harsh truth pushed my childish brain over what it could handle, and I stopped interacting with others.

The young boy looked normal, but had a faint sense of dread hanging over him.

As I grew up I was made fun of for this, and eventually exploded in rage.

The young boy, now about 7 or 8 years old, tried his hardest to attack and hurt his bullies.

So I learned that my emotions weren't my friends, but I knew well enough about Sasuke to assume that they weren't my enemies.

The now 12-year old didn't seem to be showing any emotions, but he wasn't trying to be a machine that didn't care.

I still showed happiness and joy and all my good emotions with family and close friends, but I bottled up my anger, cause I knew that it wouldn't help me.

He made friends and had the time of his life, he didn't even seem to be angry at others.

I grew into a "better" person because over the years I learned that letting out my anger on others wouldn't help anyone.

He sat in class, studying with his advanced mind, and patiently waited for the bell to ring. When it did he got up, and his friends started walking and talking around him. He smiled.

Now being quirkless used to be the worst part of my life, as if I was a step behind others. I learned that dwelling on my weaknesses wouldn't help me.

He laughed and talked with his friend in one moment, and in the other played video games.

Now, I didn't think much of myself, I knew that I was given a decent mind, better than most of my peers, but I didn't let it get to my mind.

Even though he was surrounded by many loud people, he somehow stayed in the shadows, near the back, to not gain any attention.

I think I was never the kind of person to say how much I hate my life, but I never bragged either. I was basically trying to be a background character.

He was talking to his friends, but slumped over and spoke quietly.

Now, I have an objective in my life a real reason to live, and that was to be a truly wonderful person.

The 13-year-old saw a trail of blood that his friends couldn't stomach to follow. He however, did.

I know, that seems like an extremely simple goal, and it is.
I know that helping others has always made me happy, but I feel like I can do more than help a sweet, little, old lady cross the street.

I want to give people hope, allow for little kids to say, "That's (Y/n)! I really want to be like him one day!"
Yeah, I like the sound of that.......
And well, this is the story about how I got to that higher place I could've never imagined.

The teen saw a woman with scarlet hair, she was slumped against the wall, but he could tell that she was still alive due to her sounds of breathing.

He quickly ran up to her, bent down, and checked her pulse. It was weaker than it should've been, but it wasn't totally life threatening.

He could hear his heart throbbing in his ears out of fear. "H-Hey!" He tried to see if she was awake, but she provided no sign of her situation.

"I need to call the paramedics...." The teen went into his right pocket, as normally to get his phone, only to see that it wasn't there.

"Damn it...!" He cursed underneath his breath. His fear was starting to take over as he saw the pool of blood the woman was sitting in.

He was no magician, he only knew the basics of taking care of someone. "Okay (Y/n).....think....I'm all alone and don't have a phone, a woman is bleeding out, but isn't dead......" In an instant it all clicked for him.

"A scarlet haired vigilante....her bounty is huge....this must be the infamous Erza Scarlet!" (Y/n) was put off guard by seeing the vigilante.

He felt like crying because of the situation he was in, either turn in and screw over a vigilante, who had changed his life once before, or go actively against the law and protect a criminal.

He held back his emotion and chose the more dangerous decision.

The teenager carefully lugged the criminal over his shoulder and starter to walk into a cluster of abandoned buildings.

-----

(Y/n) was peacefully reading a book on his phone, but he was beginning to get nervous due to the time. It was 8:00 P.M. and he knew his Dad would completely flip out if he wasn't home by 10:00 P.M.

He had set Erza down directly across from himself, so he could see whenever she would start stirring awake.

"Ugh.....am I dead yet?" Erza started to wake up from her little nap-time.

"Well....." Erza quickly shot up from her spot, and got into an original fighting stance. (Y/n) didn't even bother to get up, as someone who's standing has a higher chance of intimidating someone compared to someone who's sitting down.

"Relax. Nobody besides me knows where we are." Erza lowered her guard and sat back down. She couldn't stand the idea of a teenager in the age of All Might helping her, it didn't sit right.

"What do you want?" Erza decided to just cut straight to the point, and asked (Y/n) what his deal was.

"What, can I not help a poor defenseless woman out?" (Y/n) was not trying to hide his sarcasm at all.

"What do you want?!" Erza started to get annoyed and held (Y/n) up against the wall by his shirt.

"I simply wanted to help you, is that so bad?" (Y/n) answered the scary woman's question with the utmost honesty.

She growled at him and let him go, he slid down the wall caught himself from falling.

She walked away and asked him a question while face away, she couldn't let him see her expression.

"I'm a criminal so, why did you help me?" (Y/n) let out a chuckle and smiled widely.

"You help people, with having no real celebration from the public. I decided that today was not your day to be locked up!" (Y/n) didn't mean to show off more of his emotions than normally, but he felt like a better explanation was needed.

Erza stayed silent, but a growing blush emerged on her face. She wasn't used to hearing someone compliment her. She stayed stone-faced and turned back around to properly face (Y/n).

They stood at around the same height, with Erza being 5'6 and (Y/n) being 5'7.

She stuck her hand out to him, and he took her hand in his. (Y/n) softly shook Erza's hand.

"Erza Scarlet." The vigilante introduced herself.

"It's (Y/n) (L/n)." Erza had a serious expression on her face while (Y/n) had one of joy on his.

They broke away from one another and locked eyes.

"I guess this is goodbye?" (Y/n) filled in the silence that was surrounding them.

"Indeed, I must thank you for your action, but we must go out separate ways." Erza did yearn for another complement or interaction with the teen, but she knew better than to get overly attached with someone she would never meet again.

She was about to jump out of the large whole that was in the building, but (Y/n) stopped her.

"Hey, why aren't you bleeding anymore?" He had just noticed that the woman wasn't bleeding at all.

"Oh....that's just a plus to my quirk." Erza was visually surprised by how perceptive the boy was.

"Well, I know you have to-!"

BOOM

(Y/n) was interrupted by an explosion.
Both the defenseless teen and the powerful vigilante jumped at the explosion.

(Y/n) jumped down into the street, quickly yet cautiously, and ran towards the explosion.

Erza quickly followed after him into the danger. They ran together without any words passed between one another.

Erza was faster due to her training regimen, but she was impressed by the fact that (Y/n) wasn't a disturbing distance behind her.

She arrived to the scene where the explosion occurred and looked around to see nothing.

"What happened...?" (Y/n) caught up to the vigilante and saw someone trying to get the jump on her.

"Watch out!" Erza quickly turned around and stepped away from the attacker.

"Are you the one who caused this- No, you wouldn't..." Erza speculated as the thug started to try and attack Erza.

Multiple thugs started to come from various alleyways and started to surround Erza and (Y/n).

"I wonder....was it Jellal that sent you?!" Erza tried to see if it was who she thought it was who sent the thugs.

The thugs noticeably became nervous and Erza started to laugh.

"Oh, He's trying to make sure I don't go soft.....how cute." Erza showed no true anger, just annoyance as the thugs started to enclose the circle.

(Y/n) didn't know how to respond with the situation at hand.

"(Y/n) don't get caught in the crossfire!" Erza warned (Y/n) and he followed the instructions.

A flash of light obscured Erza's clothes and when the light disappeared she was in a different outfit.

"Woah, I never though I'd see the Heaven's wheel armor in real life!" (Y/n) tried to not classify as a super nerd for Erza, but he had seen a few posts on the internet about her almost legendary armor.

When the thugs saw it, they had a different reaction. Some had perverted fantasies, while others became intimidated by the armor.

She swiped her sword once and the whole group of thugs flew into the air, (Y/n) barely dodged the attack by dodging underneath it.

"It probably wasn't even worth me bringing out such an item." (Y/n) looked up at Erza while the buildings started to slide off of one another, allowing for the sun to finally shine into the darkness.

"That was easy." Erza said confidently as a thug started to get the jump in her.

She got rid of her armor in another flash and started to walk towards (Y/n).

"Behind you Erza!" (Y/n) warned Erza of the villain that was trying to get the jump on her. Before Erza could turn around and counter-attack, the thug grabbed her and pointed a gun towards (Y/n).

"I-I'll shoot!" The thug was nervous and shakey, but Erza already grew attached to (Y/n), and because of that didn't want him to be hurt.

"(Y/n) stay put, please." Erza was forming a weapon that would eventually fall between (Y/n) and the other two. That would allow for her to take out the thug and protect (Y/n) at the same time, but she couldn't do that if (Y/n) interfered.

(Y/n) got up and stuck his hands up, to show that he had no tricks.

"Listen, what's your name?" (Y/n) asked the thug.

"W-what should I tell you?!" The thug's hand started to shake more and more as (Y/n) started to approach more.

"It's alright." (Y/n) soothed the thug's heart with words that reminded him of his past.

"I-I'm sorry!" The thug fell to the ground and balled his eyes out. Erza took the gun and crushed it in her hand.

"I'm...so...sorry!" The thug seemed to be saying sorry for all his past mistakes, he was saying sorry to himself rather than to his victims.

"It's alright, just be better." (Y/n) spoke up to the villain, who ran off into the nearby alleyways, hopefully to better himself.

Erza looked at (Y/n) with surprised, widened eyes. "Letting a villain go? That isn't very hero-like, what if he does something worse in the future?"

(Y/n) looked at the alleyway where the villain ran off to with serious eyes. "I don't think he'll be doing that."

Erza looked at (Y/n) with wide happy eyes. "Hey (Y/n)." She started.

"Hm?" (Y/n) looked back at Erza who was happy and glad to give (Y/n) a wonderful gift.

"How would you like to have a quirk?"

There was only a moment of silence.

"Hell yeah, I'd love one!"

And with those words, (Y/n) started a beautiful relationship between him and the vigilante known as Erza Scarlet.
