        Roy shook as he held the knife above the blonde he was kneeling in front of. Said blonde was looking up at him with confusion but under that confusion was complete and utter trust as if the boy had no idea of what was about to happen to him. He couldn’t… Roy couldn’t kill the boy he was too innocent and Roy wouldn’t be able to bear the betrayed look that would shine in those beautiful golden eyes as he bled out. Roy threw the knife away from him barely hearing it clatter to the ground as he scooped up the boy who he’d kept captive for the last three years, into his arms hugging him tightly.
        “I’m so sorry…” He whispered to the boy who said nothing in return just stayed limp in the vampire’s arms. He had only kept the boy for his delectable blood, using him as a consistent food source. But he’d trained the boy into a docile pet. Ed tentatively wrapped his arms around the vampire, rubbing comforting circles on his back.
        “Shh..” He hushed Roy quietly, not saying a word, only hushing him gently. Then finally he asked, “Do you want to eat?” It was barely a whisper, but Roy’s eyes widened at the thought of feeding from the golden boy at this time.
        “No, not right now pet.” He whispered, “Come upstairs with me…” He led Edward out of the dungeon where he had kept the boy all this time and led him to the vampire’s posh room. It was stylishly furnished with dark blues and blacks with accents of white. In the middle of the room was a bed Roy never used since he didn’t need sleep.
        “Come,” He said gently to the boy and brought him over to the bed, “You will stay up here with me from now on, alright?” The boy watched Roy with trustful eyes and nodded obediently. Roy smiled and kissed the blonde’s temple before pulling him into a tight embrace. Edward leaned into it. It had been so long since anyone had touched him in such a gentle manner as this and he sighed happily and closed his eyes. He rested his head against the man’s shoulder, yawning quietly. Roy noticed this and gently lowered the boy onto the bed where he curled up smiling slightly as he drifted off to sleep. Roy smiled softly and laid down next to him, carefully wrapping an arm around him, minding his inhuman strength, and pulling him close. He buried his face against the boy’s hair and closed his eyes to let his mind wander.
