She was ecstatic. Her husband was coming back on leave and she had planned a surprise on her first wedding anniversary.

He had called her two days back and informed her and since then, she was on cloud nine. Its been six months since they last met, but now the news of his coming back was making her impatient.

Sometimes waiting is the hardest thing of all and our willingness to wait reveals the value we place of the person we're waiting for. He was her life.....her everything.

She couldn't sleep at night. The thought of meeting him was making her anxious so she got up early and started preparations, cleaning, cooking and getting ready ...trying to look her best.

It was still 08:00 am which means still a long wait. So she switched on the television to cut the time.

A headlines flashed on a news channel......

*More than 40 CRPF personnel died in Pulwama terror attack.*

Names of the martyrs flashed on screen. She was dumb stricken. Relatives started coming to her home. Tears were streaming down her cheeks but she had not uttered a single syllable, since then.

Three days after the attack, as promised....her husband did come back with all the honour and dignity but ... ... ...
