*Shadow's POV*
Me: Did you find a way to revert this, Faker?

Sonic: Well. About that.

Me: I am going to kill you if you tell me I am stuck like this forever.

Sonic: Well, technically, you can't see me without falling in love with me.

I growled and clenched my fists, then slammed it down on the desk. Rouge gasped and dropped some of her papers since she got startled.

Me: I don't need your stupid jokes, Hedgehog.
Me: Did you or did you not find a way to fix this?

Sonic: Yes and no.

Rouge got closer to me and leaned over to see our conversation. "Seems like you are doing better. This is the Shadow I know."

"Shut it, Bat." I kept growling furiously. All of this was affecting my job, causing me to get in trouble with the commander. I couldn't afford to keep getting distracted with stupidities like feelings and romance.

Me: What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Sonic: It means that there is no potion to revert the Love Potion
Sonic: BUT tomorrow will be the last day it has that effect on you. It only lasts 5 days!

Me: Great. One more day stuck with you.

Sonic: The lady told me some things about it if you're wondering.

Me: I only care about what may be able to help me out of this.

He took a while to answer that message. I kept seeing him typing and then deleting his message multiple times until finally I got a response.

Sonic: I can help with that.
Sonic: The farther I am from you, the less it will affect you.
Sonic: It's my fault you're feeling this way. I'll do you a favor and stay somewhere else until the effects are gone.

Rouge snatched my phone away when she read the message and started typing, then passed me the phone after she was done. I rolled my eyes and read the message she sent.

Me: Where are you planning on staying, Blue? You don't have to leave, I am sure Shadow can survive until this is over. -Rouge

Sonic: Hey Rouge! I assume you are at work with Shadow then if you are answering.
Sonic: I can stay with my family, it's okay.

My ear flickered, and Rouge got closer to the phone as she re-read the messages a few times just like I did. He had a family?

Me: You have a family? -Rouge

She stole the phone again and leaned down so I could see.

Sonic: Yeah. I am a triplet, actually.

"Great, there's more like him." I rolled my eyes, causing Rouge to punch my shoulder.

"I didn't know this tea. Did you?" Rouge asked.

"Why the hell would I care about the hedgehogs life?" I crossed my arms. Rouge got on my computer and used G.U.N. database to look for Sonics background. She found nothing.

Me: Did we know this? -Rouge

Sonic: No. Never bring it up.
Sonic: Family situation is a bit of a tough subject.
Sonic: Are you looking for stuff about me on G.U.N.s database? You're going to find nothing.

Me: Who are you? -Rouge

Sonic: I am your friend, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Sonic: That's never going to change

Me: Why is there no information about you? -Rouge

Sonic: My family is a sensitive subject.
Sonic: You want to know, then you can ask Tails
Sonic: Not really in the mood to explain anything right now. If you show him these messages, he will tell you as long as he sees that he has permission to talk about it.

Me: What are you hiding? -Rouge

Sonic: Not hiding anything.
Sonic: I was just never asked.
Sonic: I'll be back after tomorrow then. Good luck having grumpy Shadow back.

Me: Bye Blue. -Rouge

Rouge passed me the phone back as if I wanted to keep texting the idiot. I put my phone away and stood up, already knowing that Rouge needed to know what Faker was not telling us. I chaos controlled us to Miles' lab and knocked on the door.

"Shadow? Rouge? What are you doing here?" He asked as soon as he opened the door.

"You kissed a prince!?" Rouge stood up in shock once Miles finished telling his story. I was frozen in place, not sure whether or not to believe this. It was nonsense. No way would someone like HIM could be part of the royal family.

"Guys, it's really not much of a big deal." Miles said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Sonic doesn't like it when someone treats him like royalty. In fact, he renounced his succession. He does not want to be next in line. He gave the spot to his sister." The fox explained.

"Why would Sonic keep such a secret?" Rouge asked, but I stayed quiet.

"He didn't hide it. He is okay with people knowing, but he will never bring it up himself, and it's not like we go on asking about our pasts or families before we met. The only reason he doesn't have any files at G.U.N. about his past or his family is because his mother thought it would be best if no one knew. But things have changed since then."

Rouge kept asking questions to the fox, but I was lost in thought. I wasn't sure what was going on in my head. Although Faker was far away from me, I felt disappointed knowing that I could never be with a prince.
