     “Hey guys.” Tawag ni Liam sa amin. Napalingon kami sa kaniya habang siya  naman may pinulot sa putikan at itinapat dun ang flashlight. Agad kaming lumapit sa kaniya na napa-squat pa para hugasan sa may kaputikan tubig sa lupa. At dali dali niyang pinunasan iyon sa sariling damit.

    “That’s Khate's necklace!” Namumulagat na sabi ni Denise na muntik ko narin sanang sabihin pagkakita ko sa guitar pendant. Lalong lumakas kaba na nararamdaman ko.

   “I'm starting to creep out! Why the necklace is here?! Nasaan na pinsan namin?” Nanginginig na mga kamay ko habang kung anu anong mga karumal-dumal ang pumapasok sa isip ko. Kita din ang takot sa panlalaki ng mata nila Jill at Denise at ng mga kasama pa namin.

  "Niall!!! Nando eating man!! Khate?!! Harry! Syd?!" Tawag ni Louis yun na nag-e-echoe sa paligid.

  “Okay...okay… I don’t want to think any terrible things right now.  But sh*t! Wth where are they??!” Ang taas na ng tonation ng boses ko nun. Muntik pa akong mapiyuk sa kaba at takot. Napalunok ako. Nasapo ko narin forehead ko at napapikit..

Diyos ko po, kung anuman naging kasalanan namin patawarin niyo po kami.

   “Niall?!” Nanlalaking nagkapalitan ng tingin ang tatlo ng marinig nila ulit ang boses na iyon.

   “We’re here! Can you hear me?!!”

  “It’s really him!” Dali dali naming inilibot ang flashlight para mahanap sila. Pero bigo parin kami.

   “Hey, lad! We can here you! Where are you?!” Tawag ni Zayn. Teka bakit di ko man lang naririnig boses ni Khate.

  “We’re up here!!”

Nagsipaglingunan din kami sa taas kasabay ng flashlight namin.

   “Saan ba mga yun?” Tanong ni Denise na salubong na mga kilay. Tuloy lang din ang paghahanap ko. Kung saan saan ko inililibot ang flashlight habang naglalakad. Hanggang sa tumama ang liwanag nun sa isang puno ng mangga, may makapal na tali ang nakapulupot sa katawan ng puno ng mangga. Inilakad ko ang liwanag ng flashlight sa kasunod na tali nun…

    “Thank God Janel you found us.” Para bang nabunutan ng tinik ang lalamunan niya pagkakita sa akin.

      “ G-guys!!! A-andito sila.” Tawag ko sa mga kasama ko. At dali dali din silang nagsipaglapit. Napansin ko nalang na di man lang umiimik si Khate habang bahagyang nakaakap si Niall sa kaniya.

    “Wait a second! Is it really your arms around my cousin?” Nagagalit kong sabi kay Niall.

  “Okay, look it’s not like that. I mean what ever you’re thinking. She’s freezing here. So please than arguing with me of what you see here can you guys just help us get down of here. Just careful, the branch is almost cut off.”

  Umismid lang ako.

   “Thank Goodness you guys are okay.” Isang relief breath ang pinakawalan ni Liam nun.

    “Have you found Harry and Syd?” Malakas na  tanong naman ni Zayn kay Niall.

   "Oh pleaseee... Could you just let us down here first, before I answer your questions." Niall said in both annoyance and worry.

   "Okay, okay just wait there." Then nilapitan nila Liam, Louis at Zayn yung puno kung saan nakapulupot ang taling kaugnay sa lambat. Itinapat ko ang ilaw kung saan yung sinasabing napuputol na sanga ng puno na iyon na sinasabi ni Niall.

    Shit! Mapuputol na nga tlga yung sanga..

   "Please take your time. No need to rush the branch is going to cut completely. Unless you guys want to break our bones"

  "Oh shut the f*ck up chonce. We'll try to save you two there without cracking your bones." Si Liam iyon na medyo naiinis narin kay Niall. 🤦 Medyo may worries at alinlangan ang gumuguhit sa mukha niya. Marahil ay nag-iisip din siya ng paraan kung paano aalisin sila Niall at Khate sa taas.

  "Wait, I have an Idea biglang sabi ni Jill."

  "What?" Tanong ko

  "Iponin kaya natin lahat ng dahon dahon sa tapat nila so, if ever maging palpak yung ginagawa nila you know atleast to lessen worst case scenario."

  Nasapo ko nalang nuo ko.

  "Pero may punto siya, as long as tama yung volume ng mga dahon. Magiging maayos bagsak nila sa baba." Nagsipagtanguhan kami. Dali-dali kaming nagsipag kuha ng mga dahon dahon at iniipon iyon sa gitna.

  "What are you girls doing?" Tanong ni Louis, pero di na namin siya sinagot. Tuloy kami sa ginagawa namin. Hanggang sa napansin nalang namin na kumukuha narin sila ni Zayn ng mga dahon at inilalagay iyon sa gitna. Siguro ay nakuha narin nila yung idea ni Jill.

Sana matapos ang gabi na ito ng wala ng ibang problema..

   I was in the middle of my sleep , when a soft moan and strong cold wind interrupted me. I was too lazy to get up to even bother myself about the noise. The whole day became stressful. And the only relief that I could give to myself is by a long sleep. Until I have realize that the moan might not coming from my dreams but to Syd. I swiftly shut open my tired eyes and slightly lifted my half body with both elbow leaned down my coconut leaves bed. My eyes quickly darted to the fire pit that is almost dying after noticing the place is getting darker. I placed the old blanket I used to side before getting up and took two huge dried logs, placed it on the fire pit to put the fire back to life and warmed the cave. I then turned my gaze to  moaning Syd on the old wooden bed. And got myself panicked after seeing her quivering and sweating so bad with wrinkled forehead and closed eyes. I quickly neared her place the back of my hand on her crimpled forehead and neck. It was just a matter of seconds after feeling her burning skin. Her fever is indeed raging.

  Sh*t! what am I supposed to do now?

  Horrible things began to shuffle into my thoughts. What if something more severe happen to her?

F*ck Harry you have to do something!

But how? This idiot mind of mine ain't working. This is how tires causes me. I can't focus and think properly.

  "S-Syd?" I called her lowly.

I was pacing back and forth worriedly, when something bring up to my mind. I grab my shirt I hang to dry. Then damp it to a rain water, squeeze a little bit, to reduce excess water and put on her forehead.

I did it six times but then her temperature still raging back. Still quivering.

Okay, I guess I have no choice but to do this only last option I got in mind.

My heart is racing abnormally right now. For I know she'll be so angry with me for sure.

I took the corner of her blanket and gently slide myself under the covers by her side. I didn't move. Still my heart is racing from nervous.

This is funny..

Before I actually do have some intimate moment with a woman but then I never feel nervous like this. And now I'm with this simple grumpy lady in my side. Who I just going to wrapped my arms around for, but my chest is not doing a very good job of behaving.

I brush off all the negativity to my thoughts. Because that's not what important right now but to save her from feverishness.

I lowly move to side to face her.

And my heart stopped.

This is the first time I have checking her out closely to her face. Without those not pleasing eye glasses that covering her actually beautiful close eyes. She's still in furrowed forehead, telling me that she's not okay. I quickly look away. Still nervous about the plan I'm about to do.

I took a deep breathe before turning to my side where I could face her.

"I-I'm sorry Syd. I hope...y-you won't get mad of me again. I just want to help." I whispered, I then slowly move my left arms under her body and Meet them to my right arms to embrace her.

Why does girls body is soft when embraced? I mean literally talk. Did God created them with marshmallows?

I simply shake my head side to side.

Then suddenly, I feel warm and contented. I don't know why, but that's this situation is giving me right now..

The next thing I knew I drifted off to sleep.
